부유식 OWC 챔버의 파중 운동해석 (A Study on the Floating OWC Chamber Motion in Waves)

  • The motion of a floating OWC chamber in waves is studied taking account of fluctuating.air pressure in the air chamber. An atmospheric pressure drop occurs across the upper opening of the chamber which causes not only hydrodynamic but also pneumatic added mass and damping forces to the floating chamber. A velocity potential in the water due to the free surface oscillating pressure patch is added to the conventional radiation-diffraction potential problem. The potential problem inside the chamber is formulated by making use of the Green integral equation associated with the Rankine Green function while the outer problem with the Kelvin Green function. The two integral equations are solved simultaneously by making use of a matching boundary condition at the lower opening of the chamber to the outer water region. The chamber motion in the frequency domain is calculated for various values of parameters related to the atmospheric pressure drop. The present methods can also be used for the analysis of air-cushion vehicle motion as well as for the design oj a floating owe wave energy absorber.

공기압 실린더 고속 구동시스템에서 파라미터 변화에 따른 쿠션성능 비교 (Comparison of Cushion Performance on Parameter Changes in High Speed Pneumatic Cylinder Driving System)

  • Due to the tendency to use high speed pneumatic cylinders to improve productivity, cushioning devices are adopted to decelerate the piston motion of pneumatic cylinders to reduce noise, vibration, and impact. This paper presents a comparison of the cushion characteristics of a high speed pneumatic cylinder with a relief valve type cushioning device. The system parameters selected are the damping coefficient, Coulomb friction, heat transfer coefficient, and cracking pressure of the relief valve in the air cushioning device. The integral of the time multiplied square error (ITSE) is used to quantitative measure the cushioning performance to assess the effect of varying these. The cushioning performance achieved good results when the ITSE is a minimum value. In a comparison of the piston displacement and velocity with the variations in system parameters, the heat transfer coefficients are not as significantly affected as the other. Also, the cracking pressure of the relief valve is mainly affected by the pressure and temperature in the cushion chamber.

  • 본 논문에서는 규칙파중에서 공기부양선의 운동응답에 미치는 스커트의 변형에 대한 연구가 이루어졌다. Bag과 부양실내의 공기는 압축성 유체로 또한 각각의 체적내에서 압력은 공간상으로 일정하다고 가정하였다. 부양압력에 의한 자유표면의 변형은 선형포텐셜 이론을 사용하였으며, 부양압력을 진동하며 일정속도로 전진하는 압력면으로 대치하여 구하였다. Bag-Finger형 스커트는 표면적이 변화하지 않는 상태에서 변형한다고 가정하여, 압력변화와 자유표면 상승에 대한 변형모델을 제시하였고, 스커트의 복원력과 복원모멘트가 공기부양선의 상하동요, 종동요에 미치는 영향을 해석하였다. Bag내의 압력과 부양압력을 변화시키며 또 스커트의 모양을 변화시키면서 파중에서 공기부양선의 운동응답을 계산하였다.

  • An airbag is composed of housing assembly, door assembly, cushion assembly, and an inflator. The inflator is the essential part that generates gas for airbag. When an airbag is activated, it effectively absorbs the crash energy of the passenger by inflating a cushion. In this study, tank tests were performed with newly synthesized propellants with various compositions, and the results are compared with the numerical results. In the simulation of inflator, a zonal model has been adopted which consisted of four zones of flow regions: combustion chamber, filter, gas plenum, and discharge tank. Each zone was described by the conservation equations with specified constitutive relations for gas. The pressure and temperature of each zone of the inflator were calculated and analyzed and the results were compared with the tank test data. In the zone of discharge tank the pressure quickly rose, the pattern of pressure curve was very similar to the pressure curve of real test. And in zone 1 & 2 & 3 the mass of products was increased and decreased with time. In zone 4, the mass of products was increased with time like real inflator. From the similarity of pressure curve in zone 4 and closed bomb calculation the modeled results are well correlated with the experimental values.

카페트에서 방출되는 VOCs의 방출특성 (Emission Characteristics of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from a Carpet)

  • This study has been conducted to identify and quantify the emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) from a new carpet. The carpet sample consists of polypropylene cushion and latex backing. The VOCs have been sampled on sorbent tubes and analyzed by thermal desorption unit and GC/MSD. For over 240 hours, concentration of VOCs has been measured in a small chamber made of stainless steel. With the measured data, emission factor and mass balance have been considered. The experiments have been conducted in accordance with ASTM D5116-97. The carpet has emitted a variety of VOCs, but in this study, 7 VOCs compounds have been considered: chlorobenzene, ethylbenzene, styrene, isopropylbenzene, bromobenzene, 2-chlorotoluene, and 1,2,3-trimethylbenzene. The results show that the concentrations of VOCs and the emission factors have exponentially decayed from relatively high level to low level with time. The gradients of the concentration of VOCs and emission factors are different for various components. It is found that styrene, 2-chlorotoluene are emitted more than others with higher concentrations.

대평판 글라스 이송용 공기 부상 이송장치의 개발 (Development of the Air Floating Conveyor System for the Large Glass Sheet)

  • We have prepared a DEMO conveyor device for conveying a large 8G class glass sheet using ahorizontal air-cushion system. This device consists of the body frame and the driving frame that are combined to realize a frame for conveying glass without any contact.The driving frame comprises an air flotation table (bed), drive roller supported at both ends, and ASU. Part of the ASU serves to control the airflow as the chamber consists of a porous pad and fan. Fiber filters replace the porous pad and axial fans serve as an air compressor. In addition, to determine the appropriate glass levitation from the air table, this study examined the design specifications of the applied filter (discharge speed of HEPA and ULPA filters, and flow rate) as well as the height of the and the proper supporting roller height (14mm). Then, after adjusting the position of the ASU and the number of ASUs required to configure the UNIT air floating C/V, we analyzed the height and flatness of the glass and derived the appropriate layout (1140-mm distance between ASUs).
