Precision Measurement of Vehicle Shape using Industrial Photogrammetry (산업 사진측량에 의한 자동차의 외형 정밀 측정)

  • This study describes that the method of precision measurement of vehicle shape and the method of measurement the deformation that it is occurred the reason of accident using industrial photogrammatry. The curved shape is measured using the projection target which is able to acquire the point cloud data. 3D coordinates of the target were able to acquire through object picturing and analysis of coordinates. The acquired point cloud data was done 3D modeling to form the surface with TIN. Also, It able to interpretate a deformation surveying accurately the occurred parts of deformation, then can furnish to the analysis of traffic accident the precise and effective data.

  • Fabrication of the hull plate demands a lot of man-hour and a high degree of technology. In recent years, commercial shipping orders have been fallen because of intensifying competition with low price of order and labor cost. In order to solve this problem, a countermeasure such as a cost reduction is required. In this study, we are dealing with the method of supplying the forming information of the hull to the production site. We reviewed studies of hull forming that have been proposed so far to develop a method for providing hull forming information. On the basis of given production plans from the production site of shipyard, we discuss how to convert shell plate to production plan. Then, we will discuss the efficiency of the distribution method through the network about the method of hull forming. Thus, we have modified the distribution method which was proposed before. Finally, we will introduce the enhanced method for providing fabrication information of the hull plate to the small and medium-sized shipyards.

  • Parabolic almninium mlITOr of m.5('||'&'||'cent; 50 nun) was fabncated by a diamond tummg machine. Computer generated hologram (CGH) for the test of parabolic mirror was encoded by binary phase hologram Approximation of curved fringe to line was made by staircase encoding. After fringe data 1ransformed mto a Post Scnpt file. magnified master CGH was printed by a laser printer, and then it reduced to the photographIc film. Parabolic mirror was tested by Twyman-Green interferometer with CGH at VIewing arm. Its experimental result was compared with those of surface profile and auto-collimatIon test, and then the errors were analyzed.

Anatomical study on the mandible of the Korean native goat (한국재래산양 하악골에 관한 해부학적 연구)

  • This study was carried out to identify metric and non-metric characteristics of the mandible of the Korean native goat. The results were summarized as follows : The length of the mandible was more correlated with the width of the base of the ramus mandibulae than the margo alveolaris(p<0.01). The height between incisura vasorum facialium and processus condylaris had very high correlation with the height between incisura vasorum facialium and incisura mandibulae(p<0.01). The former was also more correlated to the height of the mandible in front of the first molar tooth than the height of the mandible behind the last molar tooth(p<0.01). The symphysis was formed between both mandibles and it was not able to observe ossification in all case. The number of alveoli for incisor teeth were four each mandible, however three alveoli were observed in two cases. There was usually one or occasionally, two foramina mentalia on the lateral surface of the corpus mandibulae below the margo interalveolaris near the symphysis. The incisura vasorum facialium was poorly developed. A distinct groove was observed rostroventral to the foramen mandibulae. The processus condylaris was shown hammer shape, and the caput mandibulae was flat rectangular form. The processus coronoideus was formed a rectangle and curved laterally. The incisura mandibulae was well developed.

A Study on Molten Salt Electrorefining of Uranium Metal Using Low Carbon Steel Cathode (저 탄소강 음극을 사용한 금속우라늄의 용융염 전해정련에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, electrorefining of uranium metal was studied to develop pyrometallurgical processing technology in molten salt system. The reaction between uranium metal and $CdCl_2$ was taken about 3 hours and the uranium metal deposits were obtained in the form of dendrite grown on the cathode surface in every electrotransport experiment. The shapes of dendrite were changed according to the applied voltages. Current efficiency was decreased with the increase of current density. Deposition rate was not changed after 6 hours and its maxium was obtained at $100{\sim}150mA/cm^2$ of current density and about 75 rpm of stirring speed, respectively. Also, the current efficiency was increased with decrease of the pitch of spiral groove curved on cathode.

  • We have various methods of measurement for a safety diagnosis of outworn structure, but these methods to find a variation of structure are not convincible with it's exactness and confidence. We have to lay out a scheme for a solution of these problems and improve a visibility of result. In this study, we studied a optimized solution for close-range photogrammetry to offer the more reliable method compare to conventional method and to improve it's confidens and visibility of output. For obtaining these effects, we manufactured the plane models and curved surface ones each devided into two types, normal case and obilique case. In this way, we got a optimum solution to increase a confidence level and visibility of photogrammetry. And actually, this study will be a good way to measure a variation of structures.

Analysis of Characteristics for a Dividing Flow in Open Channels (개수로 분류흐름에서의 특성분석)

  • The dividing flow in an open channel has a number of distinctive characteristics. One of these is that the separation zone interacts with a secondary motion along the inner wall of a branch channel, generating sediment accumulation. To investigate this phenomenon, a two-dimensional numerical model based on the shallow-water equations, RMA2, which calculates water surface elevations and horizontal-velocity components, was used to analyze the dividing flow. The obtained numerical results fully coincide with the laboratory measurements reported by Hsu et al.(2002). For the analysis of the numerical results, a separation zone-discharge rate relationship was proposed. To reduce the size of a separation zone, the topographies of diagonal and curved edges were proposed, smoothly connecting the upstream corner to branch channel.

  • The Roads in Gangwon Province generally was made on purpose to use the military road. In case of these roads, tremendous dangerous cut slopes do exist and its road linear shape was badly designed. In order to make up for this situation, the government has continuously established the new road or performed the public works such as the straight line of the curved road. Soksil 2 cut slope was made through the road improvement work. This has small surface failures and collapses. In spite of dry season, this slope are leaking lots of groundwater at the unbelievable point. So as to get curious phenomenon right, we performed a detailed field investigation, the geomorphological analysis, the stability analysis considering field characteristic and ultimately proposed the countermeasure to make sure stability of Sokil 2 cut slope.

An Algorithm of Automatic Mesh Generation by Recursive Subdivisions (순환적 분할에 의한 유한 요소망 자동 생성 알고리즘)

  • This paper suggests a new algorithm of automatic mesh generation over planar domains with arbitrarily shaped boundaries and control curves. The algorithm is based on the method of recursively subdividing the domain by the path connecting, with minimum penalty value, two points on the super-loop, which consists of the boundaries and the control curves, The algorithm is not subject to any limitation on the shape of the domain, and its process can be fully automated. Therefore, this algorithm can be implemented into computer programs which require minimal user intervention while generating finite element meshes over complicated domains. This algorithm can also be easily extended for application to the generation of meshes over curved surfaces, or to the adaptive mesh generation.

A Numerical Study for Design of a Fixed Type Fin Stabilizer Utilizing the Coanda Effect (콴다 효과를 적용한 고정식 핀 안정기 설계를 위한 수치적 연구)

  • Fins are widely used for roll stabilization of passenger ferries and high performance naval ships, among others. The Coanda effect is noticeable when a jet stream is applied tangentially to a curved wing surface since the jet can augment the lift by increasing the circulation. The Coanda effect has been found useful in various fields of aerodynamics and speculated to have practical applicability in marine hydrodynamics where various control surfaces are used to control motions of ships and the other offshore structures. In the present study, numerical computations have been performed to find proper jet momentum coefficients $C_j$ and trailing edge shapes suitable for the application of the Coanda effect to a stabilizer fin. The results show that the lift coefficient of the modified Coanda fin at the zero angle of attack ${\alpha}$ identically coincides with that of the original fin at ${\alpha}\;=\;25^{\circ}$ when Coanda jet is supplied at the rate of $C_j$ = 0.1. It is also shown that a fixed type fin stabilizer utilizing the Coanda effect can be implemented without changing the fin angle to actively control the motions of ships and the other offshore structures.
