Analysis of interaction between intracellular spermine and transient receptor potential canonical 4 channel: multiple candidate sites of negatively charged amino acids for the inward rectification of transient receptor potential canonical 4

  • Transient receptor potential canonical 4 (TRPC4) channel is a nonselective calcium-permeable cation channels. In intestinal smooth muscle cells, TRPC4 currents contribute more than 80% to muscarinic cationic current (mIcat). With its inward-rectifying current-voltage relationship and high calcium permeability, TRPC4 channels permit calcium influx once the channel is opened by muscarinic receptor stimulation. Polyamines are known to inhibit nonselective cation channels that mediate the generation of mIcat. Moreover, it is reported that TRPC4 channels are blocked by the intracellular spermine through electrostatic interaction with glutamate residues (E728, E729). Here, we investigated the correlation between the magnitude of channel inactivation by spermine and the magnitude of channel conductance. We also found additional spermine binding sites in TRPC4. We evaluated channel activity with electrophysiological recordings and revalidated structural significance based on Cryo-EM structure, which was resolved recently. We found that there is no correlation between magnitude of inhibitory action of spermine and magnitude of maximum current of the channel. In intracellular region, TRPC4 attracts spermine at channel periphery by reducing access resistance, and acidic residues contribute to blocking action of intracellular spermine; channel periphery, E649; cytosolic space, D629, D649, and E687.

  • 고 고도 전자기 펄스(HEMP: High-altitude Electromagnetic Pulse)용 필터는 펄스 전류 주입(PCI: Pulsed Current Injection) 인수시험을 통해 인수기준을 충족하더라도, 실제 부하 장비를 연결하여 장비 운용 상태에서 실시하는 PCI 검증 시험수행 시에는 부하 장비의 전자기 전도 내성 수준에 따라서 장비가 손상될 수도 있다. 본 논문에서는 HEMP 방호시설에서 PCI 검증 시험 수행이 어려운 경우, 이에 대한 방안으로서 HEMP 필터의 PCI 인수시험 잔류 전류 측정값과 부하 장비의 과도 전자기 전도 내성 기준 값에 대한 특성인자(norm) 비교를 통해 필터 잔류 전류가 부하 장비에 미치는 영향분석 방법을 제안하였다. C4I(Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence) 쉘터용으로 제작된 HEMP 필터와 쉘터 탑재장비를 활용하여 HEMP 필터 PCI 인수시험, 과도 전자기 전도 내성 시험 및 PCI 검증 시험을 수행하였고, 결과를 분석하였다.

  • Generally, in order to implement the CRM(Critical Conduction Mode), the analog controller is used rather than a digital controller because the control is simple and uses less power. However, according to the semiconductor technology development and various user needs, digital control system based on a DSP is on the rise. Therefore, in this paper, the CRM bridgeless PFC converter based on a digital control is proposed. It is necessary to detect the inductor current when it reaches zero and peak value, for calculating the on time and off time by using the current information. However, in this paper, the on-time and off-time are calculated by using the proposed algorithm without any current information. If the switching-times are calculated through the steady-state analysis of the converter, they do not reflect transient status such as starting-up. Therefore, the calculated frequency is out of range, and the transient current is generated. In order to solve these problems, limitation method of the on-time and off-time is used, and the limitation values are varied according to the voltage reference. In addition, in steady state, depending on the switching frequency, the inductance is varied because of the resonance between the inductor and the parasitic capacitance of the switching elements. In order to solve the problem, inductance are measured depending on the switching frequency. The measured inductance are used to calculate the switching time for preventing the transient current. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the proposed method.

  • This paper describes numerical modeling for thermal characteristic of vapor-cooled current leads under pulse operation. The transient thermal analysis considers the temperature difference between a helium gas (low and a copper lead and temperature dependent properties of helium gas, copper and stainless steel. This numerical modeling was compensated and validated by an experiment with commercially available 100 A vapor-cooled current leads. A proper overloading factor was suggested for the current leads under pulse operation through this modeling, which can significantly reduce heat input to a cryostat.

  • Improvement of power factor is achieved by reactive-current compensation, connecting power condenser to the circuit. This paper describes a method of reactive-current compensation, employing thyristor switching of capacitor banks without any breaker. This method reduces supply transients to the minimum by means of connecting condenser, because thyristor is triggered at zero point in condenser current. The reactive current detection and the experimental system to trigger thyristor at appropriate moment are given. IThe results show the fast reactive-current compensation on the condition of minimum transient.

New Approach for Transient Radiation SPICE Model of CMOS Circuit

  • Transient radiation is emitted during a nuclear explosion and causes fatal errors as upset and latch-up in CMOS circuits. This paper proposes the transient radiation SPICE models of NMOS, PMOS, and INVERTER based on the transient radiation analysis using TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design). To make the SPICE model of a CMOS circuit, the photocurrent in the PN junction of NMOS and PMOS was replaced as current source, and a latch-up phenomenon in the inverter was applied using a parasitic thyristor. As an example, the proposed transient radiation SPICE model was applied to a CMOS NAND circuit. The CMOS NAND circuit was simulated by SPICE and TCAD using the 0.18um CMOS process model parameter. The simulated results show that the SPICE results were similar to the TCAD simulation and the test results of commercial CMOS NAND IC. The simulation time was reduced by 120 times compared to the TCAD simulation.

  • 본 논문은 임펄스전류에 따른 접지시스템의 과도 특성에 관한 것으로 임펄스 전류를 심매설 봉상 접지전극과 그리드 접지전극에 인가하였을 때 나타나는 과도접지임피던스를 조사하였다. 과도접지임피던스는 인가전류의 상승시간과 접지전극의 크기 및 형태에 강하게 의존하며, 접지전극의 인덕턴스는 짧은 시간 영역에서 접지시스템의 과도 접지임피던스에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 심매설 봉상접지전극은 짧은 시간영역에서 과도접지임피던스를 줄이는데 효과적이었다.

  • A prediction method for determining the welding residual stress by artificial neural network is proposed. A three-dimensional transient thermomechanical analysis has been performed for the CO $_{2}$ Arc Welding using the finite element method. The validity of the above results is demonstrated by experimental elastic stress relief method which is called Holl Drilling Method. The first part of numarical analysis performs a three-dimensional transient heat transfer anslysis, and the second part then uses results of the first part and performs a three-dimensional transient thermo-clasto-plastic analysis to compute transient and residual stresses in the weld. Data from the finite element method were used to train a backpropagation neural network to predict residual stress. Architecturally, the finite element method were used to train a backpropagation voltage and the current, a hidden layer to accommodate failure mechanism mapping, and an output layer for residual stress. The trained network was then applied to the prediction of residual stress in the four specimens. The results of predicted residual stress have been very encouraging.

  • This paper analyses the transient phenomena against single line to ground fault and lightning surge on underground power cable systems. For analysis in various fault conditions, several actual underground power cable systems are modeled using ATP In ground fault, the transient characteristic of the conductor and the sheath according to the fault current and the installation types of CCPU are analysed. In lightning surge strokes, the various unbalanced conditions including the length of crossbonded lead, the breakdown of CCPU and distance unbalance are considered. This paper is expected to contribute the establishment of proper protection methods against transients on underground power cable systems.

  • The transient response of PEMFC (proton exchange membrane fuel cell) is important criteria in the application of PEM fuel cell to real automotive system. In this work, using a transparent unit PEM fuel cell, the transient response and cathode flooding during load change are investigated. The cell voltage is acquired according to the current density change($0.3Acm^2$ to $0.6A/cm^2$) under various stoichiometry conditions and different flooding intensities, Also the cathode gas channel images are obtained by CCD imaging system simultaneously. The different level of undershoots appeared at the moment of load changes under different cathode stoichiometries and flooding intensities. The correlation of the dynamic behavior with stoichiometry and cathode flooding is induced from the results of these experiments.
