Development of Optimal Sensor for Diagnostic System in Overhead Distribution Power Lines (가공 배전선로 진단시스템을 위한 최적 센서 개발)

  • Degradation diagnosis of cable is one of major issues for operation and maintenance in overhead distribution power lines. The diagnostic system for overhead power lines is composed of three parts in functional aspect - a travelling unit, a sensing unit and a communication unit. Among them, sensor detects the defects such as corrosion and disconnecting of power lines. Performance of sensor is very important, and besides, the size and structure of sensor is restricted for installation to small and lightweight diagnostic system. This paper suggests an optimal eddy current sensor best suit for small and lightweight diagnostic system in consideration of detecting performance, size and ease of installation and so on. Proposed sensor has been designed by Drum core structure and can be applied to the all domestic overhead power lines regardless of the cross-sectional areas. Also, it is showed that results of mock environmental test are satisfied.

  • In this paper the automatic system for dairy cattle has been desisted such as body temperature measuring unit, feed supplying unit and temperature control unit. Since e disease is strongly related to the body temperature of cattle, early detection of the abnormal temperature would prevent the severe problems which nay occur in dairy farms. An electronic component AD590J is used as temperature sensor for the system, The device is highly robust against the noise since the output signal is the current so it can be applied to a long distance sensing The resolution of signal is 0.1$^{\circ}C$ and the current is 10㎷ Also 12-bit A/D converter is desisted fir interfacing the sensor with a one-chip microprocessor. A temperature measuring experiment using the developed system has been done for measuring the temperature of human beings and the system was proven to be useful for measuring the body temperature of dairy cattle properly. A geared AC motor is used for the feed supplying unit The heater and fm are used as temperature control unit. The feed supplying unit and temperature control unit are well operating in the laboratory experiment.

  • Usually, fluid or fuel supply device need space to need special sensor to control motor, attaches with ancillary equipment to attach sensor. Also, difficult point follows need signal line and other circuit etc. In this paper, used that proposed control system that use hall sensor to solve discomfort and problem and difference control principle of system happens in current flow according to motor action step. Also, could reduce breakdown by sensor establishment, reduce material costs and personnel expenses as well as control system superior. Auto-pumping system sees that will can apply, develop several kind of device that use system hereafter to all fluid supply systems through soft-ware adaptation.

  • In this paper, we designed and fabricated the ubiquitous thermal sensor unit for high voltage facilities. This sensor unit generates electric power from a current transformer which was mounted in the high voltage wires and transmitted thermal data by using a Zigbee module. We simulated the high voltage facilities that temperature was going up to $80^{\circ}C$ gradually. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that sensibility of the ubiquitous thermal sensor unit is in ranges from $-0.7^{\circ}C$ to $0.3^{\circ}C$.

  • The unit-water content of concrete is one of the important factors in determining the quality of concrete and is directly related to the durability of the construction structure, and the current method of measuring the unit-water content of concrete is applied by the Air Meta Act and the Electrostatic Capacity Act. However, there are complex and time-consuming problems with measurement methods. Therefore, high frequency moisture sensor was used for quick and high measurement, and unit-water content of mortar was evaluated through machine running and deep running based on measurement big data.

  • This paper deals with a problem of detecting the inner corrosion of the ACSR(Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) power lines using a detector which consists of an ECT(Eddy Current Test) sensor, a constant current service, a signal processing unit, and a RF transmitter/receiver unit. The detector runs on the ACSR transmission line and inspects the corrosion of the conductor using the technic of the nondestructive eddy current test. The experimental result shows this detector can efficiently find the zinc loss in ACSR power lines.

  • This paper deals with the development, reliability, specification and performances of the ACSR inner corrosion detector system. It is designed to run on ACSR automatically and to inspect the corrosion of the line with on-line continuously. And it comprises a sensor a constant current source, a signal processing unit, a RF transmitter and receiver unit. Also separable encircling coil sensor is proposed in order to detect inner corrosion of the overhead ground wires. In conclusion, this detector can realize the nondestructive detecting of an ACSR inner corrosion.

  • This paper deals with the development of on-line fault and lightning stroke section locating system for branched overhead transmission line. The section locating algorithm of this system i3 by analyzing the distribution pattern of current flowing through the overhead ground wire. It composes of three parts; current sensors, local remote terminal unit(RTU) and analysis program at surveillance tenter. Double Rogowski coil sensor having integrating amplifier was designed as current sensor. In order for current pattern analysis, the transmitted waves from each sensor wert synchronized by GPS tim c clock in RTU. While, lightning stroke location are judged only by polarity information of lightning currents. This design has a benefit in simplicity of signal processing unit of RTU.

  • An intelligent mulitiple monitoring system to monitor tool/machining states synthetically was proposed and developed. It consists of 2 fundamental subsystems : the multiple sensor detection unit and the intellignet integrated diagnosis unit. Three signals, that is, spindle motor current, Z-axis motor current, and machining sound were adopted to detect tool/machining states more reliably. Based on the multiple sensor information, the diagnosis unit judges either tool breakage or degree of tool wear state using fuzzy reasoning. Tool breakage is diagnosed by the level of spindle/z-axis motor current. Tool wear is diagnosed by both the result of fuzzy pattern recognition for motor currents and the result of pattern matching for machining sound. Fuzzy c-means algorithm was used for fuzzy pattern recognition. Experiments carried out for drill operation in the machining center have shown that the developed system monitors abnormal drill/states drilling very reliably.
