해역 기초생산력 증대를 위한 부유식 인공용승시스템 요소기술 (Key Technologies for Floating Type Artificial Upwelling System to Strengthen Primary Production)

  • The abundant nutrients contained in deep seawater are delivered by natural upwellings from the deep sea to the surface sea. However, the natural upwelling phenomenon is limited to specific areas of the sea; in other areas, the thermocline separates the surface sea from the lower layer. Thus, the surface layer is often deficient in nutritive salts, causing the deterioration of its primary productivity and ultimately leading to an imbalance in the marine ecosystem. Without a consistent supply of nitrogenous nutritive salts, they are absorbed by phytoplankton, resulting in a considerable problem in primary productivity. To solve this issue, a floating type of artificial upwelling system is suggested to artificially pump up, distribute, and diffuse deep seawater containing rich nutritive salts. The key technologies for developing such a floating artificial upwelling system are a floating offshore structure with a large diameter riser, self-supplying energy system, density current generating system, method for estimating the emission and absorption of CO2, and way to evaluate the primary production variation. Strengthening the primary production of the sea by supplying deep seawater to the sea surface will result in a sea environment with abundant fishery resources.

공황장애의 뇌영상 및 신경생물학적 식견 (Brain Imaging Provides Insight into the Neurobiology of Panic Disorder)

  • Panic disorder is a common psychiatric illness that causes considerable morbidity. However, the biological basis of panic disorder remains unclear. In this report, we present and summarize the current literature on functional neuroimaging studies related to the neurobiology of panic disorder. The findings were summarized and divided into six groups : (1) known brain structures related to anxiety, especially panic disorder ; (2) structural results ; (3) functional imaging studies at rest ; (4) functional imaging studies with challenge testing ; (5) neuroreceptor studies ; and (6) changes in the treatment of panic disorder. Based on the findings of these neuroimaging studies, it seems as though panic disorder involves the hippocampal and parahippocampal areas, including the amygdala, as well as some cortical regions, such as the temporal and prefrontal cortices. Panic disorder is known to be associated with an imbalance between the right and left hemispheres of the brain at rest or during panic attacks. During a panic attack, patients with panic disorder are likely to experience an increase in local activity in the cingulate, insula, midbrain, and so on. On the other hand, a widespread reduction in the cortical areas has also been reported in most provocation studies. Thus, panic disorder may be related to the excess activation of the fear networks in response to subtle environmental cues and insufficient inhibition from higher cortical control areas ; however ; further studies are recommended in order to fully understand the neurobiology of panic disorder.

The Clinical Pathology Characteristics and Tetanus Quick Stick Evaluation for Tetanus Patients in Daegu Emergency Medical Center

  • Tetanus has high lethality and can cause serious complication, so it is very important to have a quick and exact checkup and treatment. In this study, we conducted a study about clinical characteristics and types of tetanus patients in Daegu Emergency Medical Center and we studied possibility of Tetanos Quick Stick (TQS) as a selective check up to treat tentanus by comparing the results of local checkup kit measured from tetanus quick stick developed to check up tetanus antibody titer and results measured from ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay). The result of the study showed that tetanus happens more to males, and by looking at season, tetanus happened most in summer (from June-August) as 19 cases (45.3%), and when patients come to the emergency medical center, the diagnosis name was electrolyte imbalance 14 cases (33.3%), peripheral nerve 11 cases (26.2%), Meningitis 8 cases (19.0%), drug addiction 7 cases (16.7%), and the patients who are diagnosed as tetanus at the beginning of hospitalization was 2 cases (4.8%). The result of TQS usefulness by comparing with ELISA, in TQS, 42 people was positive and 478 people was negative. it was positive when the result was over 0.1 IU/mL, 48 people was ELISA positive while 472 people was negative. TQS checkup has accuracy of 98%, sensitivity of 83.3%, specificity of 99.5%, positive predictability of 95.2% and negative predictability of 98.3%. The evaluation of current immunity statuses of tetanus patients is available for TQS checkup, and it has an advantage of preventing side effects coming from the injection of unnecessary vaccine and immunoglobulin, and it is thought that it can give help to emergency checkup and treatment at the beginning.

해양교통시설물용 다채널 AFS에 관한 연구 (A Study of Multi-channel AFS for Marine Traffic Facilities)

  • 최근 일정기간 해상에서 운용된 해양교통시설물은 수주와 파도 유입구에 해조류 증착이 발생되어, 파력발전 효율이 감소되는 문제점이 발생하였다. 따라서 해조류 증착을 억제하고자 단일채널 AFS(Anti-Fouling System)를 적용하였다. 그러나 단일채널 AFS에 이용된 구리 전극봉의 이온화 불균형 현상이 나타났다. 구리 전극봉의 이온화 불균형은 전극봉의 교환시기를 앞 당겨, 잦은 전극봉의 교체가 필요한 문제가 발생하였다. 본 논문에서는 다 채널 전류제어 방식을 이용한 해양교통시설물용 다채널 AFS의 알고리즘을 만들고, 하드웨어를 설계, 제작하였다. 그리고 기존의 단일채널 AFS와 다채널 AFS의 실 해역실험을 통해 제어방식에 따른 구리 전극봉 이온화 차이를 확인할 수 있는 비교 실험을 진행하였다. 실 해역실험결과 다채널 AFS에 이용된 구리 전극봉이 균일하게 이온화 되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청년 1인 가구 증가와 함께 나타나는 주거 문제의 원인을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 생애 주기 가설을 기반으로 주택 수요 함수를 추정하였다. 추정 결과, 청년 1인 가구의 주택 수요와 항상소득 잔차로 인한 주택 수요가 다른 집단에 비해 유의미하게 낮게 나타났다. 이는 청년 1인 가구의 주택 소비에 항상소득이 충분히 실현되지 못하고 있으며, 이를 뒷받침할 금융 시장의 역할이 미비함을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 항상소득 실현의 어려움과 주택 금융 부족을 청년 1인 가구 주택 수요 불균형 현상의 원인으로 분석하였다. 따라서 청년 1인 가구의 주택 문제를 해결하기 위해 항상소득과 현재 주택 수요의 균형을 유도하는 정책이 도입되어야 한다.

Managing Deadline-constrained Bag-of-Tasks Jobs on Hybrid Clouds with Closest Deadline First Scheduling

  • Outsourcing jobs to a public cloud is a cost-effective way to address the problem of satisfying the peak resource demand when the local cloud has insufficient resources. In this paper, we studied the management of deadline-constrained bag-of-tasks jobs on hybrid clouds. We presented a binary nonlinear programming (BNP) problem to model the hybrid cloud management which minimizes rent cost from the public cloud while completes the jobs within their respective deadlines. To solve this BNP problem in polynomial time, we proposed a heuristic algorithm. The main idea is assigning the task closest to its deadline to current core until the core cannot finish any task within its deadline. When there is no available core, the algorithm adds an available physical machine (PM) with most capacity or rents a new virtual machine (VM) with highest cost-performance ratio. As there may be a workload imbalance between/among cores on a PM/VM after task assigning, we propose a task reassigning algorithm to balance them. Extensive experimental results show that our heuristic algorithm saves 16.2%-76% rent cost and improves 47.3%-182.8% resource utilizations satisfying deadline constraints, compared with first fit decreasing algorithm, and that our task reassigning algorithm improves the makespan of tasks up to 47.6%.

전립선비대증 치료의 한의학적 접근방법에 관한 연구 (Study on the Treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH) in Oriental Medicine)

  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia(BPH) is the most common benign tumor seen in the western male, and it is found in 50% of men over 50 years of age. It is characterized by the formation of large discrete lesions in the periurethral region. As they enlarge, these nodules tend to compress the urethra and cause partial or almost complete obstruction of .urine flow. The etiology of BPH is uncertain, but the increasing incidence with advancing age suggests the possibility of an imbalance between male and female sex hormones. In the past, most patients have had multiple indications to support the decision to initiate therapy. But both the urologic surgeon and the patient must be clearly aware of the results that can be expected and the risks involved in achieving them. The aims of this study are to investigate and summarize the current trends of treatment for BPH so as to suggest the effective and available way to treat the disease. In Oriental medicine, the BPH is recognized as uroschesis and ischuria, and the etiology is mainly in stagnated blood and insufficiency of the kidneys. The point of treatment of BPH is recovery of urination, and the treatment can be approached in two ways through herb drugs and acupuncture. Some of the herb drugs have substances which reduce BPB. Acupuncture therapy stimulates the pelvic plexus and is reported to be effective for voiding. Suppository, massotherapy, rectal injection, locus injection and attachment of herb drugs to the navel or the acupoint are announced as the effective treatments. So, this study of the approach and application of these treatments on BPH would be necessary.

5-6학년군 영어교과서의 문화내용 분석연구 : 2009년과 2015년 개정 교육과정의 비교 (A Study on the Analysis of Culture Contents in English Textbook for Grade 5-6 : Comparison of 2009 and 2015 Revised National Curriculum)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 2015 개정 5-6학년군 영어교과서의 문화내용을 분석하고, 2009 개정교육과정에 따른 5-6학년군 영어교과서의 문화내용을 분석한 선행연구로부터의 제언들이 2015 개정 영어교과서에 얼마나 반영되었는지 알아보는 것이다. 또한 분석의 결과를 바탕으로 초등영어 교과서에서 바람직한 문화내용의 제시 방향을 모색하였다. 이를 위하여 2009 및 2015 교육과정에 따른 5-6학년군 영어교과서 각 10종, 총 20종의 교과서를 문화유형, 문화소재, 문화 배경에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 2015 개정 영어교과서에는 아직 문화 유형별, 소재별, 배경별 불균형이 존재하고 있으며, 2009 개정 영어교과서 분석시 제언되었던 내용들이 충분히 반영되지 않았음을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 학습자에게 균형 잡힌 문화교육을 제공하기 위해서는 영어교과서에 제시된 문화내용이 유형, 소재, 배경 면에서 보다 다양하고 균형 있게 제시되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 향후 다양한 선행연구에서 문화교육발전을 위해 제언되는 의견들은 영어교과서에 반영되어 더 효과적인 문화교육이 이루어지도록 해야 할 것이다.

공장 전기 설치를 위한 휴대용 전력품질 모니터링 시스템 (Hand-Held Power Quality Monitoring System for Factory Electrical Installation)

  • 본 연구에서는 휴대용 계측기기를 이용한 공장 수용가 전력품질 분석시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 전력품질 분석시스템은 주로 대규모 공장 수용가에서 상시 연결 되어, 공장 전력 데이터를 연속적으로 취득, 저장한 후 분석까지 수행하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 시스템의 문제점은 데이터 취득을 위해 설치된 미터에서 수집된 Raw 데이터를 이용하여 공장 수용가의 전체적인 전력 품질을 감시 할 수는 있으나, 비선형 부하의 조합으로 인한 전력품질 저하 발생 시에는 그러한 상황에 대한 구체적인 원인을 파악하는 것은 불가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공장의 전력품질 저하가 발생되는 경우 의심되는 여러 부하의 전압, 전류를 직접 측정하여 그 원인이 되는 지점을 쉽게 찾아내고 그에 상응하는 조치가 가능하도록, 휴대용 계측기기 기반 공장 수용가 전력품질 분석시스템을 제시함으로써 보다 안정적인 공장 전력 부하 운영이 가능하도록 한다.

시뮬레이션에 희한 부산컨테이너 터미널 운영의 체계적인 분석 (A Systematic Analysis on the Operation of Busan Container Terminal by Computer Simulation)

  • Since the middle of 1950's when sea transportation service by container ship was established, containerization has been rapidly spread over the world with realization of intermodalism, and becomes an index of economy growth of a country. Our country has established Pusan Container Terminal at Pusan harbour in 1978 in step with worldwide trend of containerization, and is constructing New Container Terminal at Pusan outharbour which will be completed in 1990. This paper aims to make a quantitative analysis of the Pusan Container Terminal system through the computer simulation, especially focusing on its subsystems such as ship stevedoring system, storage system and transfer system. First, the capacity of various subsystems are evaluated and it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the computer simulation. Secondly, the suggestion is presented to improve the operation by considering the throughput that Pusan Container Terminal will have to accept until 1990, when New Container Terminal will be completed. The results are as follows ; 1) As the inefficiency is due to the imbalance between various subsystems at Pusan Container Terminal on the basis of about 1.2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 33% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 4/5 days for export/import. 2) On the basis of about 1.4 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $12\%$ for gantry crane, $11\%$ for straddle carrier and $66\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 3) On the basis of about 1.7 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $25\%$ for gantry crane, $28\%$ for straddle carrier and $100\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 4) On the basis of about 2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to $25\%$ for gantry crane, $30\%$ for straddle carrier and $110\%$ for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 2/3 days for export/import, and it is necessary to enlarge storage yard.
