Objectives : We developed and proposed a guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus(Class 2 medical device). Methods : We drafted the guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus by referring the existing standards and guideline, based on online questionnaire for Korean medical doctors and measurement data from commercially available products. Physical dimension of cups and inner vacuum pressure were acquired for the measurement in order to achieve the purposes. Results : This guideline only can be applied to electric cupping apparatus for enhancing blood circulation by employing negative pressure generated by electricity. Seven items of appearance and label, operation test of pump, variation test of input electricity, vacuum level test, vacuum sustain test, cup-size dependent test, noise level test are suggested for evaluation subjects and methods required for electric cupping devices. Requirements for the design and development of electric cupping devices are suggested: vacuum level indicator, vacuum generation rate, pressure control, valve detachment stability, cup comparability, safety measure, surge protection, user friendliness, instruction for use (IFU). Conclusions : We proposed a guideline for safety and performance assessment of electric cupping apparatus to improve the quality of relating products and aid the commercialization of them, by aiming higher industrial competitiveness of the medical device sectors in Korea. Discussion with related institutes such as industry, academy and government is further required. Public hearings also need to be held prior to the establishment of a final guideline and standard.

고령화 사회의 노인성 질환 치료기술에 대한 수요가 증가되고 있는 가운데 최근 한의학이 새롭게 주목을 받고 있다. U-care 시장에서 IT, 통신, 의료와 관련된 대형 기업을 중심으로 성장하고 있지만, 한방치료기술은 한의학의 이해 부족으로 사업화가 미비한 실정이다. 부항기는 현재 고령친화제품 관련시장의 활성화 기반이 다져지고 있다는 것으로 분석되었으며 고령친화제품 시장이 향후 급성장할 가능성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 환자 스스로 기본적인 치료가 이루어질 수 있는 휴대용 한방 멀티 전동 부항 시스템을 제안했다. 본 시스템은 여러 개의 부항컵을 동시에 시술할 수 있고, 타이머와 진공압을 자유롭게 조절하여 환부의 장시간 진공압 유지로 인한 가려움증 및 근육응결을 해소할 수 있다. 이러한 시스템을 이용하면 한방 수요층이 많은 고령화 사회에 IT 융합산업과 연계하여 차세대 성장동력으로 발전할 것으로 사료된다.

Arabica coffee is classified for trading according to the New York Board of Trade(NYBOT) green coffee classification. NYBOT's grading system is based on classification derived from a defect count on a 300 g sample. In the present study, green and roasted coffees were investigated for possible correlations between the content of defective beans and sensory characteristics. Sensory evaluation was performed by expert tasters used by the Specialty Coffee Association of America(SCAA) cupping method. For green coffee, the percentage of defective beans increased. as the coffee grade decreased. Black and sour beans were not found in the NY2 grade coffee out of all natural, pulped natural, and washed coffee samples. Sour and insect damage were found in more natural coffee samples as the green coffee grade decreased. Green and broken beans were found in more washed coffee samples as the green coffee grade decreased. Flavor, clean, uniformity, aftertaste, and overall sensory characteristics were significantly different among the NY2, NY3/4 and NY4/5 grade coffee in all natural, pulped natural and washed coffee samples. The natural coffee in the NY2 sample presented the highest body characteristic. The pulped natural coffee in the NY2 sample presented the highest sweetness and balance characteristics. The washed coffee in the NY2 sample presented the highest acidity and flavor characteristics. In conclusion, the percentage of defective beans increased as sensory characteristics decreased.

목적 : 부항요법은 국소적 부위를 진공상태로 유지시키는 과정 중 유두층 안의 표피혈관을 파괴됨에 따라 발생하는 색소, 응결, 자반, 수포, 압통 반응 등을 살피어 오장육부의 기능이상을 진단하고 있다. 시각에 의존하는 주관적인 혈색소 판별로 인한 진단방법에서 벗어나 정량적으로 측정 및 분석이 가능하기 위하여 교차편광 촬영술을 접목하였으며, 새로운 혈색소 평가 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 방법 : 족태양방광경의 좌/우 폐수(BL13), 심수(BL15), 간수(BL18), 신수(BL23) 총 10개에 80 kPa 의 음압으로 1분 동안 자극하였다. 교차편광 촬영술을 이용하여 부항 자극 직전과 60분 이후까지 2분마다 이미지를 획득하였다. 획득한 이미지에서 $L^*a^*b^*$ space로 변환하여 분석하였으며, RGB space에서 홍반지수 (E.I: erythema index)를 계산하여 분석하였다. 또한 부항 자극 전 각 경혈에서 젖산 농도를 측정하여 색 지표들간의 관계성 분석을 통하여, 근육의 상태와 부항 자극으로 유도된 피부 색 변화와의 관계를 확인하고자 하였다. 결과 : 교차편광 촬영술을 이용하여 획득한 이미지에서의 $L^*$, $a^*$ 그리고 E.I 모두 부항 자극에 따른 피부 색 변화를 정량적으로 나타낼 수 있는 유의한 지표임을 확인하였다. 부항 자극 40분 후에 피부 색 변화가 더 이상 관찰되지 않았다. 또한 각 경혈에서의 젖산 농도와 피부 색 변화 정도와 유의한 차이가 없음을 확인하였다. 결론 : 설진을 포함하여 한의학적 색 진단을 하기 위한 방법으로 교차편광 촬영술 활용 가능성을 확인하였다. 또한 $L^*$, $a^*$ 그리고 E.I 모두 색 지표로서 유의성을 확인하였다. 향후, 장부 기능 이상과 혈색소 반응간의 상관성을 확보하기 위한 연구가 진행하기 전에, 음압 도중 발생하는 조직 내 다양한 반응과 혈색소 반응간의 관계를 확보하고자 하는 노력이 우선적으로 진행되어야 한다.
