누가침수면적곡선을 이용한 댐 저수구역의 침수특성 평가 (Evaluation of Flooding Characteristics of Dam Reservoir using Cumulative Flooding Area Curve)

  • 저수지 홍수터는 댐 저수지에 자연스럽게 형성되는 계획홍수위와 상시만수위 사이의 토지를 의미한다. 광범위하게 분포된 홍수터는 경작을 포함한 다양한 형태로 훼손되어 왔다. 훼손된 홍수터를 일거에 복원하는 것은 현실적으로 어려우며, 이에 따라 복원 우선순위를 결정하는 방법이 제시되고 있다. 이 과정에는 다양한 인자가 고려되며, 그 중 홍수터의 수문특성으로 침수일수(또는 침수빈도)가 있다. 하천 홍수터의 경우는 동일한 하천에서도 홍수터마다 다른 침수 빈도를 보이지만, 댐 저수지의 홍수터는 모두 동일한 침수빈도를 가져 차별성을 확보하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 누가침수면적곡선을 이용하여 댐 홍수터의 수문특성을 차별화하는 방법을 제시하였다. 누가침수면적 곡선은 댐 저수지 수위 상승에 따라 침수되는 누가면적을 나타낸 곡선이며, 본 연구에서는 특히 누가침수면적의 비율이 30%, 50%, 70%가 되는 수위를 기준으로 침수빈도를 평가하였다. 본 연구에서는 낙동강 수계 안동, 임하, 영주, 남강 등 4개 댐에서 기 결정된 각 5개의 복원후보 홍수터를 적용사례로 고려하였다. 분석 결과, 누가침수면적곡선은 홍수터의 전반적인 형태(급경사-완경사 혹은 완경사-급경사)를 잘 반영해 줌을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 누가침수면적의 비율이 30%, 50%, 70%에 해당하는 침수빈도는 홍수터의 수문특성을 정량화하여 파악하는데 효율적임을 판단 할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents a improved algorithm for the generating capacity reliability evaluation using the frequency and duration approach. One of the specific feature of this algorithm is that propose the cumulative state load model via analytic expression of load duration curve and cumulative load frequency characteristic in conside ration of daily peak load. The paper illustrates the utilization of the proposed algorithm in actual system studies using the generating system of KEPCO. The results presented will provide a valuable reference for maintaining and planing the generating system.

누가분포함수를 활용한 강우강도식의 국내 적용성 평가 (Application of Intensity-Duration-Frequency Curve to Korea Derived by Cumulative Distribution Function)

  • 국내에서 수공구조물의 설계를 위한 확률강우량을 산정하기 위해서 널리 사용되는 강우강도식은 주로 회귀분석을 적용한 형태가 일반적이지만, 본 연구에서는 각 지점별 적정확률분포형의 누가분포함수를 활용하여 강우강도식의 형태를 결정하고, 매개변수는 유전자알고리즘을 적용하여 추정하는 강우강도식을 제안하고자 한다. 기존에 사용하던 강우강도식과의 정확도 비교를 위하여 기상청 22개 지점에 대한 재현기간, 지속기간별 평균제곱근오차, 평균제곱근 상대오차를 검토한 결과 누가분포함수를 활용한 강우강도식이 더 높은 정확도를 가짐을 보였으며, 또한, 최근의 집중호우에 대한 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 2006년 까지의 강우자료를 이용하여 기존의 회귀식에 의한 방법과 누가분포함수를 활용한 경우의 결과값을 비교한 결과 이 경우에도 누가분포함수를 활용한 강우강도식의 정확도가 더 높음을 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 제안된 누가분포함수를 활용한 강우강도식은 기존의 회귀분석을 활용한 강우강도식보다 정확도면에서 우수하다고 할 수 있으며, 국내에 충분히 적용가능한 형태의 강우강도식이라고 판단된다.

치근단낭과 육아종의 디지털방사선학적 비교연구 (Comparison of Digital Radiometric Features between Radicular Cysts and Periapical Granulomas)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a radiometric analysis of radicular cysts and periapical granulomas is useful in the differential diagnosis. In this experiment, twenty-nine periapical radiographs of the radicular cyst and those periapical granuloma were used. The periapical radiography was taken by intraoral paralleling device. The X-ray film was digitized and digitally filtered to reduce film-grain noise. We estimated density difference of the inner/outer area, roundness or circularity, bone profile or scan line of the margin and cumulative percentage frequency curve of radicular cyst & periapical granuloma. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The differences in density between ROIs of inner and outer area of radicular cysts were smaller than those of periapical granulomas. 2. The equivalent circular diameter was over 6.3mm, there was significant difference between periapical cyst and periapical granuloma. 3. In differential diagnosis of radicular cyst and periapical granuloma using bone profile. sensitivity. specificity and accuracy were considerably high(0.83. 0.86. 0.86) respectively. 4. Cumulative percentage frequency curve of the radicular cyst was closer to the pseudo-pixel value of 50 than average curve, whereas periapical granuloma was closer to that of 0. Hence we conclude that digital radiometric features might be useful in the differential diagnosis between radicular cyst and periapical granuloma.

수질오염총량관리 단위유역 유량그룹별 수체 손상 분석 (Research on the Evaluation of Impaired Waterbody using the Flowrate Group at TMDL Unit Watershed in Nakdong River Basin)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of waterbody impairment according to the flow conditions and present to the appropriate water quality improvement alternatives using observed water quality and flow for Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) implementation at 39 unit watersheds the nakdong river basin. Observed water quality data for 7 years are divided into five cumulative flow frequency group and comparing the each observed water quality data and TMDL Target water quality (TWQ) the last evaluate the water quality is impaired group. We found that the cumulative flow frequency group-specific the average excess rate of V group was the highest (32.86%), followed by the IV group (26.04%), group III (23.36%), II group (22.67%), I group (20.70%), the degree of impaired waterbody tended to be inversely proportional to the flow rate. Resulted from cumulative flow frequency group of impaired water quality assessment, 13 unit watersheds are impaired from a group IV and group V affected by point sources. Therefore, improvement of sewage discharge and the initial composition of the riparian buffer zone are needed. Nakbon F, Namkang D and Namkang E within 13 unit watersheds are impaired from group II and III affected by non-point sources. Therefore, application of Best Management Practices (BMPs) is needed for these watersheds. Evaluation of impaired waterbody using Cumulative flow frequency group is able to determine the extent of the judgment to TWQ exceeded by the flow conditions and helps proper setting Standard flow and planning pollutant reduction for TMDL.

Chemical Characteristics of Groundwater in Carbonate Rock Areas of Korea

  • This study was conducted to understand the chemical characteristics of groundwater in carbonate areas of Korea. In this study, data on pH, electric conductivity (EC), $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Cl^-$, $SO_4{^{2-}}$, and $HCO_3{^-}$ were collected from 97 wells which were installed in various carbonate rock regions of Korea. The pH values ranged from 5.7 to 9.9, and the average value was 7.3. The concentration range showed differences between the maximum value of $HCO_3{^-}$ and the medium to minimum values of $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$, $Cl^-$, $SO_4{^{2-}}$, and $K^+$ in the study area. The average value of EC was $374{\mu}S/cm$, higher than in granite and gneiss areas, where the value is $176{\mu}S/cm$. Most of the groundwater was type $Ca-HCO_3$, and some was type $Mg-HCO_3$. The relationship between $Ca^{2+}$, $Cl^-$, and $HCO_3{^-}$, respectively, and EC showed relatively significant positive correlations compared to the other dissolved components. However, the determination coefficients for $Mg^{2+}$, $Na^+$, $SO_4{^{2-}}$, and $K^+$ were very low less than 0.2. These results indicate that the source of $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ is relatively simple (carbonate dissolution) compared to other sources. The sources of $Na^+$, $K^+$, $Cl^-$, $SO_4{^{2-}}$, and $HCO_3{^-}$ might be not only water-rock interactions, but also irrigation return flow, because many groundwater wells had been developed for irrigation purposes. Subsequently, the influence of agriculture on groundwater chemistry was evaluated using a cumulative plot of $SO_4{^{2-}}$. The threshold value of $SO_4{^{2-}}$ calculated from the cumulative frequency curve was 29.2 mg/L. Therefore, 12.4% of all the groundwater wells were affected by agricultural activity.

이변량 강우 빈도해석을 이용한 서울지역 I-D-F 곡선 유도 (Derived I-D-F Curve in Seoul Using Bivariate Precipitation Frequency Analysis)

  • 단변량 빈도해석법은 수공구조물 설계에 널리 사용되고 있다. 하지만 호우사상은 강우량, 최대강우강도, 강우지속기간과 같은 특성으로 표현되기 때문에 단변량 빈도해석법으로는 그 특성을 종합적으로 표현하는데 한계가 있을 수 있다. 이러한 호우사상의 특성들을 함께 표현해 줄 수 있는 이변량 빈도해석법의 사용이 수공구조물의 설계에 필요하다. 본 연구는 서울 강우관측소의 46개년(1961~2006) 시 강우자료를 Gumbel 혼합모형에 적용하여 빈도해석을 수행하였다. 이변량 강우빈도해석을 통해 결합누적분포함수를 산정한 후, 결합재현기간, 그리고 조건부 재현기간을 산정하였다. 이와 같은 이변량 강우빈도해석은 다양한 호우특성들에 대한 확률적 거동에 대한 예측정보를 제공함으로써 수공구조물의 계획 및 설계 그리고 위험도 평가 등의 문제 해결에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

Poisson분포를 이용한 도시가스 화재 폭발사고의 발생 예측프로그램 및 사회적 위험기준에 관한 연구 (Study on Predictable Program of Fire.Explosion Accident Using Poisson Distribution Function & Societal Risk Criteria in City Gas)

  • 가스로 인한 화재 및 폭발사고의 예측 가능한 프로그램을 구체화하고, 적절한 사회적 위험기준을 제시하기 위하여 최근 11년간의 가스사고 데이터베이스를 분석하였다. 먼저 동일유형의 가스사고 발생가능 성을 판단할 수 있는 Poisson 분석 방법을 적용하기 위해 3개의 사고유형, 즉 누출, 폭발, 화재로 구분하여 총 16개 항목으로 나누어서 적용하였다. 그 결과, 시공 작업 부주의-폭발-배관의 항목의 사고발생반도가 가장 작았으며, 배관연결부이완부식-누출-배관의 경우는 가장 높은 빈도를 나타내었다. 따라서 이에 대한 적절한 가스사고 대응책이 마련되어야 할 것이다. 또한 치명적인 가스사고의 추세와 합리적인 위험정책에 대한 지침을 결정하기위해 D. O. Hagon 방정식과 회기직선식을 이용하여 F.N 곡선의 누적사망자의 최소 및 최대점에 대응시켜 허용가능영역을 설정하였다. 향후 가스사고에 대한 신뢰성 있는 분석을 위해서는 가스로 인한 화재 폭발사고에 대한 데이터베이스를 지속적으로 확충보완을 시켜야 되며, 이를 위한 표준 코드화 작업이 요구된다.

경남 고성 구리광산 지역의 중금속 분산특성과 오염기준: 빈도분석과 확률도의 적용성 (Distribution Properties of Heavy Metals in Goseong Cu Mine Area, Kyungsangnam-do, Korea and Their Pollution Criteria: Applicability of Frequency Analysis and Probability Plot)

  • The frequency analysis and the probability plot were applied to heavy metal contents of soils collected from the Goseong Cu mine area as a statistic method for the determination of the threshold value which was able to partition a population comprising largely dispersed heavy metal contents into the background and the anomalous populations. Almost all the heavy metal contents of soil showed a positively skewed distributions and their cumulative percentage frequencies plotted as a curved lines on logarithmic probability plot which represent a mixture of two or more overlapping populations. Total Cu, Pb and Cd data and extractable Cu and Pb data could be partitioned into background and anomalous populations by using the inflection in each curve. The others showed a normally distributed population or an largely overlapped populations. The threshold values obtained from replotted frequency distributions with the partitioned populations were Cu 400 mg/kg, Pb 450 mg/kg and Cd 3.5 mg/kg in total contents and Cu 40 mg/kg and Pb 12 mg/kg in extractable contents, respectively. The thresholds for total contents are much higher than the tolerable level of soil pollution proposed by Kloke(Cu 100 mg/kg, Pb 100 mg/kg, Cd 3 mg/kg), but those for extractable contents are not exceeded the worrying level of soil pollution proposed by Ministry of Environment(Cu 50 mg/kg, Pb 100 mg/kg). When the threshold values were used as the criteria of soil pollution in the study area, $9{\sim}19%$ of investigated soil population was in polluted level. The spatial distributions of heavy metal contents greater than threshold values showed that polluted soils with heavy metals are restricted within the mountain soils in the vicinity of abandoned mines.

Frequency Ratio와 Evidential Belief Function을 활용한 산사태 유발에 대한 환경지리적 민감성 분석과 검증 - 2013년 춘천 산사태를 중심으로 - (Analysis and Validation of Geo-environmental Susceptibility for Landslide Occurrences Using Frequency Ratio and Evidential Belief Function - A Case for Landslides in Chuncheon in 2013 -)

  • The objective of this study is to characterize landslide susceptibility depending on various geo-environmental variables as well as to compare the Frequency Ratio (FR) and Evidential Belief Function (EBF) methods for landslide susceptibility analysis of rainfall-induced landslides. In 2013, a total of 259 landslides occurred in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea, due to heavy rainfall events with a total cumulative rainfall of 296~721mm in 106~231 hours duration. Landslides data were mapped with better accuracy using the geographic information system (ArcGIS 10.6 version) based on the historic landslide records in Chuncheon from the National Disaster Management System (NDMS), the 2013 landslide investigation report, orthographic images, and aerial photographs. Then the landslides were randomly split into a testing dataset (70%; 181 landslides) and validation dataset (30%; 78 landslides). First, geo-environmental variables were analyzed by using FR and EBF functions for the full data. The most significant factors related to landslides were altitude (100~200m), slope (15~25°), concave plan curvature, high SPI, young timber age, loose timber density, small timber diameter, artificial forests, coniferous forests, soil depth (50~100cm), very well-drained area, sandy loam soil and so on. Second, the landslide susceptibility index was calculated by using selected geo-environmental variables. The model fit and prediction performance were evaluated using the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve and the Area Under Curve (AUC) methods. The AUC values of both model fit and prediction performance were 80.5% and 76.3% for FR and 76.6% and 74.9% for EBF respectively. However, the landslide susceptibility index, with classes of 'very high' and 'high', was detected by 73.1% of landslides in the EBF model rather than the FR model (66.7%). Therefore, the EBF can be a promising method for spatial prediction of landslide occurrence, while the FR is still a powerful method for the landslide susceptibility mapping.
