Field experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of vinyl mulch on phosphate availability of soil and fertilizer in 1982. Growth of tobacco was more vigorous at each level of phosphate treatment in vinyl mulched than in bare soil. There was significant culture x Phosphorus treatment interaction for the yields of cured tobacco leaves. These results indicated that vinyl mulch was effective to improve phosphate availability of soil and fertilizer. Increase in soil temperature and maintenance of bulk density suitable for Phosphorus diffusion by vinyl mulch were likely to Play major roles on Phosphate availability, but other unknown factors appeared to be involved.

This study explores the component factors of innovation brand to build organizational culture of government ministries. A perception of organizational officers on innovation brand is ranked orderly by brand awareness(recognition, discrimination), brand loyalty (identification, ease of memory, meaning diffusion, reaction of customer needs), brand salience, brand knowledge and brand innovation. The results of factor analysis classify the component factors with factor1(brand awareness, brand loyalty) and factor2(brand innovation). This results indicate that the officers definitely recognize the value of innovation brand and brand identity. The brand discrimination and brand loyalty can also positively affect perception on brand innovation.

The ventilation efficiency of clothing was investigated by a trace gas method using a manikin wearing an impermeable overall under an isothermal condition, where the ventilation occurred only through the openings by diffusion. The ventilation patterns were different for each part of the body. The ventilation efficiency in the clothing microenvironment of the arm and the leg greatly depended on the distance from each opening when the wrist- or the ankle-opening was opened. When both side of wrist- or ankle-openings were opened to provide the opening area double respectively, the ventilation efficiency did not correspondingly increase twice, as compared one side opened. Even though it as certainly affected by the opening area, the ventilation efficiency was more significantly influenced by the position of openings.

This study was aimed to screen edible herbs which control the composition of intestinal microflora. With in vitro experiments, we screened the water or ethanol extracts of about 60 edible herbs and wild plants in terms of the inhibition activity on the growth of the harmful Clostridium perfringens and growth promoting activity for the beneficial Bifidobacteria. The water extracts of mugwort and small water dropwort inhibited the growth of Cl.perfringens both in agar diffusion method and broth culture. On the other hand, the water extracts of petasites, mugwort, yellow day-lily and bitter cress have shown the promotion effect on the growth of Bifidobacterium longum. In the culture test using human feces as starter, the extracts of the above selected herbs increased the population of Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus while they reduced the numbers of Cl.perfringens and E.coli.

The development of ICT brings the change in daily life and the digitized data are increasing in usage. The combination between GPS and internet results in extensive diffusion of space related information by way of smartphone, sensor and SNS. Jeju Island is only one special self-governing province in Republic of Korea and deserves to be proud of the unique culture, having those designated Intangible Cultural Heritage from UNESCO such as Culture of Jeju Haenyeo or Women Divers and Jeju Chilmeoridang Yeongdeunggut or Exorcism of Praying big Catch. In this paper, I suggest how to preserve fadable tradition economically and technically and expect to develop Haenyeo fitted portable sensors and IoT platform.

This study was investigated to a effect of sociocultural environment on the vicissitudes of headgear in Europe on 19th Century. Form of headgear was increasingly more functional and simple. It was needed various items with various usage. Since Industrial Revolution the french Revolution. A diffusion of sport and increase of leisure time gave rise to entrance of mass headgear with reasonability and simplicity. But female headgear was more decorative than males. Until late 19th century when female has participated in social performance, female headgear was not functional and simple form. More often female took male headgear(fedora, straw boater, cap, tc.) than bonnet when female role-awareness was changed and sport is diffused.

Morphology of polyester fiber was physically modified by solvent treatment. PET fiber was treated with N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) at 100, 120, $140^{circ}C$ for 10 minutes without tension. The structural changes in the morphology of DMF-induced modified PET fiber were FTIR and SEM analysis. Also dyeing behavior of DMF-treated polyester fibers with various disperse dyes was studied to detect changes of amorphous area in fine structure. DMF treatment resulted in increases in total void content, degree of crystallinity, trans isomer content, chain folding, segmental mobility and molecular packing, but it resulted in decreases in amorphous orientation, intermolecular forces and individual void size through longitudinal shrinkage, lateral welling and removal of oligomers. Void-size distribution could be estimated from the dye uptake with various sizes of disperse dyes. In contrast to the large increases in dye uptake with small dye molecules, there is no and little dye uptake with the bulkiest dye, which means that void size is bigger or smaller than the volume of each dye. Diffusion rates of dye molecules showed increases. This dyeing study revealed that the disperse dyeing is very effective method for characterizing the internal morphology of polyester fiber.

In this paper, we examine the points of similarity and difference between Korea, Japan, and the USA in terms of the spin-off effects of space technology on cultural life. In Japan and the USA, spin-off effects of space development research by government funded research centers are diffusive while in Korea they are interruptive. Spin-offs of research results impact cultural life via technology transfer and commercialization in businesses. This is because the Korean aerospace industry has progressed largely based on an overall system, but the promotion of internal parts and sub-systems, which can trigger technological development and spin-off effects in manufacturing, has been neglected. In the case of the KARI, the government funded research center, we argue that it is necessary for KARI to devote more resources to transfer (or promote spin-offs of) space technology to small and medium-sized businesses and other industries.

It is proposed the polyacrylamide gel, instead of agar, could be used for the solid cultures of microorganisms including Streptomyces strains. Polymerization and gellation of 5% acrylamide solution were done by autoclaving for 5 min at 121.deg.C and no hindered by the addition of nutrient-rich media. In particular, pH buffer solution suitable for corresponding microorganisms must be used in the preparation of culture media. Comparing with agar, it was discussed that polycrylamide gel had many advantages such as gellation within the wide range of strong acid Carbon and Nitrogen sources, requirement tests of growth factors and minerals, sterization at high temperature, diffusion assays of products depending on the pore size of gel, and stability and standarization of microbial cultures.

Aggravation of natural environment, improvements in income, internet diffusion, spread of five-day work a week, and population aging seem very different from each other. However they boil down to consumption. These culture patterns are changing into environment-friendly and productive housing culture. In other words, people might tend to have frequent contacts with not only environment-friendly housing in bustling cities but also woods that is environment friendly materials in their leisure time. In the period of people young and old alike are in favor of woodcrafts, this study was conducted for giving information to who speicalized in woodcrafts. Furthermore, the study shows that other countries also added grain and figure to woodcrafts for visually appealing.
