  • This study suggests a variety of ways to prevent narcotic crimes, recurrence of such crimes, rehabilitation, and improve the public awareness of using the narcotics by adopting cultural contents, highlighting how dangerous, harmful and they are easily accessible, as well as the reality in Korea nowadays, where it cannot any longer be seen as a drug-free state. Precedent research, the actual case studies, and interviews followed by the "Musical Mission" explain that anyone can easily become a criminal or family to the criminals, and the adolescent is the age group that experience the most rapid increase in initiating such illicit drugs by using cultural content to help prevent and improve awareness among the public to expose the deadly effect of the substances. More efforts are required to remove the frame of criminals off the active drug users, as they are those who only need to be cared and are the same members of our society after all by demonstrating new ways to change such perspectives. I wish that it will become a social mandatory for those who produce the social contents to urge more support for the drug users through TV advertisements, dramas, movies, documentaries, and musicals etc.

  • The technologies related to the development of cultural contents we known as cultural technology (CT). CT should evolve with the changes in the cultural contents market. Currently there are five major trends in cultural market change. First, consumers are seeking more and more sensible quality from products. Second, consumers are becoming less sensitive to the cognitive quality of products. Third, consumers demand more than what contemporary technology can offer. Fourth, as the cultural products market grows, the goal of content developments has shifted from producing a 'big hit product' to producing a product which will maintain market share. Fifth, cultural products are diversifying. All these trends make the cultural products developer's job more challenging. Sensation & emotional engineering (SE engineering) can be a useful tool for cultural products developers. SE engineering is a study of the somatic sensation and the aesthetic sensation for both fundamentals and applications aspects. By quantifying the physiological and psychological responses of consumers, it studies the physical nature of stimulants, providing basic knowledge for future applications and industrialization. One widely spread myth is that a sparkling idea from a talented individual will make a difference in the cultural products industry. The careful examinations of many successful cultural products prove this is not correct. Many successful cultural products are the result of a substantial amount of investment and employment of well polished marketing technology. A scientific approach is highly required for this matter and the SE engineering is an answer

  • This study deals with the rent-seeking behavior that exist in cultural voucher from the viewpoint of culture and arts management. Art organizations open to consumers, producers and governments of the arts are dependent on the internal and external influence of an open system. Researcher has found rent-seeking in the course of introducing policies and legalization of the cultural voucher business which has been promoted in the direction of democratization of culture or cultural democracy. Cultural voucher business is a legal term. Although the government has increased the budget or tried to change the policies of the cultural voucher business, the implementation of the cultural voucher business has been opposed to the diversity of consumption and equity as the consumption of genre and the concentration of the capital region have increased. These results were structurally related to the process of legalization and rent-seeking behavior in bureaucracy. This study reaffirms that the efficient operation standard of the cultural voucher business is a balance between the choice of the beneficiary, the competition of the supplier, and access to the cultural voucher. And the theory of rent-seeking was applied as a criterion to analyze this balance. Thus, it is suggested that the criteria of evaluation and improvement to check the conservativeness of bureaucrats are needed to establish a legal system applied to the purpose of 'cultural democracy' and 'democratization of culture' ideology and to guarantee individual creativity and autonomy.

  • The term stress is currently used to cover a wide variety of phenomena, ranging from physical to social and cultural factors. The term has defined psychological stress as an imbalance between perceived or subjective demand and perceived response capability. The behavior science model has provided the accident proneness through the life change unit factors considering human behavior, life style, ideas, culture, and psychological state. Therefore, this paper presents the Korean life change unit model through statistical testing with the proposed life change unit factors on the unmarried workers living in the middle area. The proposed model can be simply used in real fields in order to minimize the industrial accidents.

  • AThe studies on ceramic preservation have been conducted widely in various institutions such as national/ public museums and research labs as well as the excavation institutions and university museums. Although there are some differences in preservation methodologies and materials used across the institutions, the variation is minimal. Specifically, epoxy resin is mostly used for ceramic restoration for its high cohesiveness, low contraction and high strength although there are some variations in for Ceramic Preservation. The synthetic resin type used according to the type of damage in the ceramic. However, the yellowing or the change of color across the time after the restoration is the weakness of epoxy resin. In this study, we aim to develop a material which minimizes this yellowing of epoxy resin while enhancing its cohesiveness and strength as well as other physical properties. We made the new material to have similar properties with those used widely for the ceramic restoration, such as EPO-TEK301$^{(R)}$, L30$^{(R)}$, XTR-311$^{(R)}$ through comparative experiments. The cohesiveness of the newly developed resin was improved to 2.51(MPa), which is similar level of XTR-311$^{(R)}$ of the 2.30(MPa) but about 2x higher than the other resins EPO-TEK301$^{(R)}$, L30$^{(R)}$ (1.21 and 1.81 (MPa), respectively). Especially, the experiment on yellowing shows that the existing resins show the range of color change at 10~25(${\Delta}E^*ab$), but the new low yellowing epoxy resin has the color change value at 8.3 (${\Delta}E^*ab$), the value lowering the yellowing effect to 1 to 3 times of the existing epoxy resin, thereby solving the issue of generating sense of differences due to change of color or yellowing.

  • The purpose of the present study is to clarify the process of change to the pond at the Jongmyo Shrine(宗廟), from the Joseon Dynasty period to the modern and contemporary era. The consequent research results can be summarized as follows. The first record of the Jongmyo pond is confirmed in the "Annals of King Sejong(世宗實錄)". The pond, which was being constructed at the time, refers to the current upper pond(上池). A pair of islets(雙島) were constructed during the Sukjong(肅宗) period, with several trees planted on the middle islet(中池). The middle pond is thick with lotuses. In particular, the middle island on the middle pond subsequently changed into a single island(單島), which is likely to be related to the pond expansion during the reign of Youngjo(英祖). When the lower pond(下池), involving dualistic arrangement, was constructed in the modern and contemporary era, the pond of the Jongmyo Shrine underwent a drastic transformation phase. The lower pond was constructed before 1947 at the latest, and when the right side of the lower pond was filled in the mid 1980s, the dualistically arranged lower pond became a unified type of lower pond. On the other hand, the bank protections of the upper and middle ponds were constructed with earth, but was subsequently modified into its current form using stone.

  • A cultural landscape results from a combination of human activities for resource-use and the response of nature to such artificial interference. Nature provides resources necessary for human life on the Earth in terms of his survival as well as living. Humanbeing has developed civilization using the benefits that nature provides. In the past, a harmonious relationship between mankind and nature had ensured sustainability of resource-use for human. We can find such facts from the existence of cultural landscape. However, rapid economic growth and a development-oriented logic caused from such socio-economic change led to the environmental crises and the depletion of various resources at global level. In the perspective of preparation for such problems, we investigated the background for establishment, function, and value of cultural landscapes, in which a dynamic equilibrium exists between a supply of natural resources and human needs. Furthermore, we discussed a new economic model including ecological consideration, a strategy for ecological management of environment, and a framework for transmission of traditional culture to new generations on the basis of a cultural landscape regime.

  • Fashion is very superficial. However, it is expressed through the culture that is a cause of internal change and therefore its contents are defined by the cultural features. In this study, to study the aesthetic properties of the French fashion, the internal fashion contents are defined according to the cultural characteristics of France and based on the definition, the external features are investigated. The cultural characteristic was analyzed based on the reference literatures on the French culture. Based on the cultural characteristics of France, the aesthetical properties of the contemporary French fashion can be analyzed as follows: ${\cdot}$Dualism is the internal contents of the French culture with multiple sources, and it implies that opposing values such as female and male, traditionalism and modernism, simplicity and decoration are coexisting. Simplicity is pursued but decorative elements are in harmony and new phase of time is reflected while certain style has lasted for a long period of time to become a tradition. Furthermore, a rational trend combining masculinity and femininity, simultaneously exist with a trend that emphasizes feminine image. ${\cdot}$Multiculturism is a mysterious feature that has adapted the oriental or other cultural factors into the forms, patterns, colors and material of costumes. It has also been reconstructed with the French and the modern tastes. ${\cdot}$Avant-gardism is pursuing a novel aesthetic value against the former value system. It recognizes the human body as an object of figurative arts therefore emphasizes the body with geometric shapes to deny the fixed-idea, or engraft new materials and technologies to express the futuristic aspects.
