  • Soybean isoflavones known as an anticarcinogenic factor were evaluated in some Korean soybean foods by high performance liquid chromatography. Unfermented soybean foods contained predominantly isoflavone ${\beta}-glycosides$ (genistin and daidzin), but in the fermented soybean foods isoflavones were present mainly as aglycones (genistein and daidzein). Average contents of isoflavones of tofu, soymilk and soy sprout were 1, 151, 676 and 424 mg/kg, respectively. Among the fermented soybean products, soybean paste (Chongkukjang) was highest in the isoflavone content (920 mg/kg) and the degree of hydrolysis of ${\beta}-glycosidic$ bonds was ranged from 30 to 100%. Doenjang, Chunjang and Kanjang contained lesser amounts of isoflavones and their contents were 627, 291 and 10 mg/kg, respectively. Korean traditional fermented foods, Chongkukjang and Doenjang could be regarded as the excellent sources of soy isoflavone aglycones.

  • This study is to verify the effectiveness of initial planning verification using paper prototyping while methodologies are being developed to verify the direction of game planning in a short time at low cost since it is having a hard time to verify the direction and fun of the game by taking a lot of capital and time in the initial planning process as the game development becomes larger. It conducted paper prototyping production for about 40 students who are learning game planning for a semester, and trained them on how to motivate using core mechanical diagrams, scrums, and basic psychological needs that can effectively materialize the ideas of their early game planning. Through this curriculum, board games were completed with eleven paper prototyping, and it was confirmed that students who participated in the class were meaningful in verifying fun and securing gameability through cross-play.

  • This paper intends to analyze the role expansion of characters, which was an important factor in setting the worldview in storytelling. With the development of media, the way of setting the worldview began to change. At the center of these changes are 'Transmedia' and 'Metaverse', which have recently been receiving attention. With the development of trans media, where the intersection and convergence of media is actively attempted, characters are breaking free from their innate limitations, crossing various media, and performing various activities in new stories. In addition, in the metaverse, an extended concept of the real world, avatars play a role in constructing and expanding the metaverse world as users and creators. By analyzing these changes, we would like to deal with the phenomenon in which character setting, which was used as an element in orthodox world view setting, replaces the world view.

  • This study attempted to understand the characteristics of foreign direct investment by Chinese companies from the perspective of Dunning's OLI paradigm. This development of OFDI by Chinese companies was influenced by the Chinese government's policy, internal factors of the Chinese economy, and the economic and institutional environment of the investment target country. The characteristic of Chinese companies' OFDI is that investment in developed countries is gradually increasing amid regional concentration in Asia. And the proportion of tertiary industries is high, In the meantime, the structure of the secondary industry is changing. In addition, Chinese companies are gradually expanding and showing characteristics by considering the economic and political factors of the investment target country in the selection of overseas investment areas, and then selecting areas with little cultural difference from China's system. This characteristic of OFDI by Chinese companies is basically evaluated to be in line with the OLI paradigm of Dunning. However, the difference is that Chinese companies' OFDI not only advances in overseas investment using the strengths of companies, but also advances in investment to compensate for their shortcomings.

  • This study is on the formation and the development process of urban space by referring to the literature in Yeosu where is the important location in logistics & transportation and maritime since the Japanese colonial period. There are many factors and results of the development process in Yeosu by the opening port, railroads, loads and industries. The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of the formation process of urban space and the characteristics of physical space in Yeosu. The results are as follow; The urban formation and development process in Yeosu where was a small fishing village in the 1910s is largely divided into four processes. Formation: the population increased due to constructions such as of a railroad, a port, and roads and there were many reclamations around the center of the old city center in the Japanese colonial period. Stagnation: There was no urban development due to stagnation, war, and the Yeo-sun Incident. Expand: the industrialization of the Yeocheon Industrial Complex and Gwangyang Steel and other areas around Yeosu led to a surge in Yeosu's population. To cope with this, the city was expanded through three land readjustment projects and the development of large-scale residential complexes. Decline and Remodeling: Yeosu's urban space declined due to the decline of fisheries and the decrease in marine and railway logistics. And the expansion and improvement of the transportation network for hosting the Yeosu World Expo increased the accessibility of the old city center, transforming it into a tourist city using cultural heritage and nature.

  • The biocontrol approach using beneficial microorganisms to control crop diseases is becoming an essential alternative to chemical fungicides. Therefore, new and efficient biocontrol agents (BCA) are needed. In this study, a rhizospheric actinomycete isolate showed unique and promising antagonistic activity against three of the most common phytopathogenic fungi, Fusarium oxysporum MH105, Rhizoctonia solani To18, and Alternaria brassicicola CBS107. Identification of the antagonistic strain, which was performed according to spore morphology and cell wall chemotype, suggested that it belongs to the Nocardiopsaceae. Furthermore, cultural, physiological, and biochemical characteristics, together with phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene (OP869859.1), indicated the identity of this strain to Nocardiopsis alba. The cell-free filtrate (CFF) of the strain was evaluated for its antifungal potency, and the resultant inhibition zone diameters ranged from 17.0 ± 0.92 to 19.5 ± 0.28 mm for the tested fungal species. Additionally, the CFF was evaluated in vitro to control Fusarium wilt disease in Vicia faba using the spraying method under greenhouse conditions, and the results showed marked differences in virulence between the control and treatment plants, indicating the biocontrol efficacy of this actinomycete. A promising plant-growth promoting (PGP) ability in seed germination and seedling growth of V. faba was also recorded in vitro for the CFF, which displayed PGP traits of phosphate solubilization (48 mg/100 ml) as well as production of indole acetic acid (34 ㎍/ml) and ammonia (20 ㎍/ml). This study provided scientific validation that the new rhizobacterium Nocardiopsis alba strain BH35 could be further utilized in bioformulation and possesses biocontrol and plant growth-promoting capabilities.

  • This study aims to provide implications for Korea's efficient application policies for closed schools by identifying the current status of how closed schools are revitalized in Japan and their supportive measures. In Japan, a total of 2,215 schools have closed from 1992 to 2001, and 8,580 schools from 2002 to 2020, with 10,709 closures occurring from 1992 to 2020. The average number is about 369 per year. In terms of the overall trend, the number of closed schools have been put into use and the numbers have increased from 70% in 2013 to 74% in 2020. To summarize the characteristics of the use, first, there is a complex phenomenon in which the use of closed schools are becoming more diverse. Second, closed schools are most often revitalized as educational facilities for residents, followed by social sports facilities, social education facilities and cultural facilities. Third, the use of closed schools in the industries are increasing as they are used as "corporal facilities and start-up support facilities". In order to promote the use of closed schools, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan promoted the simplification and elasticity of property disposal procedures in 2008. Since 2010, the disclosure of information on closed facilities and matching service between providers and users have been unified through the "Let's Connect to the Future ~ Closed School for All" project. The Cabinet Office including the four offices, and five central governments are advocating the use of closed schools by promoting subsidy support projects.
