박물관 자원에 기초한 문화 창작물의 활성화 응용 연구 (Research on the Dynamic Application of Cultural and Creative Products based on Museum Resources)

  • 박물관은 역사와 문화 축적의 실체이자 상징이고 박물관 유물은 역사의 혼을 담고 있는 단서이며 박물관 문화 창작물은 언제나 가지고 다닐 수 있는 역사이다. 현대박물관은 전통 박물관의 '물중심'을 '사람중심'으로 변화시키고 그 활태전승에 치중하는데, 박물관의 문화 창작물은 활태전승의 일종의 표현 방식이다. 이 글은 인터넷 조사 연구, 현지 답사, 전문가 인터뷰 등의 방법을 통해 중국 박물관 문화 창작물이 현재 직면한 기회와 어려움을 분석하여 박물관 문화 창작물의 디자인 방법을 보완하려 한다. 박물관 문화 내포 요소의 발굴과 박물관 문화 창작물 기능 요소의 확대와 박물관 문화 창작물 디자인 요소의 혁신과 문화 창작물과 인간의 공감 요소의 제조에 의한 4가지 요소를 일체화한 디자인 방법으로 탐구하고 사례실천을 검증하여 중소형 박물관의 문화 창작물들이 디자인 기법 미비로 인한 문화 창작물 기능성 부족, 혁신성 부족, 전파성 부족 등의 단점을 보완한다. 더 많은 사람을 박물관으로 안내하고, 전통 문화를 전파선양하며, 인간과 유물, 인간과 인간의 공감대를 형성시킨다.

  • 문화경관은 인간의 자연자원이용과 그에 대한 자연의 반응이 조화롭게 어우러져 생긴 산물이다. 자연은 인간의 삶을 보장하기 위하여 그 생존에 필요한 자원 뿐만 아니라 생활에 필요한 자원도 공급하고 있다. 인간은 자연이 주는 이러한 혜택을 이용하여 문명화를 진전시켜 왔다. 얼마전까지 인간과 자연 사이의 관계는 조화의 관계를 유지하여 지속가능한 자원이용을 보장받아 왔고, 우리는 문화경관의 존재를 통하여 그 사실을 발견하고 있다. 그러나 급속도로 진행된 경제성장과 그것에 기인한 개발중심의 논리는 지구환경위기, 각종 자원고갈의 위기, 더 나아가 인간의 정신적 빈곤현상까지 몰고 왔다. 이러한 시점에서 인간과 자연 사이의 조화로운 관계의 전형인 문화경관을 대상으로 그 성립배경과 기능을 검토하고, 새로운 패러다임을 토대로 그 가치를 점검하는 것은 건강한 사회와 경제를 실현하기 위한 새로운 전략을 창조하는데 가치있는 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 문화경관의 성립배경을 검토하였고, 생태적, 경제적 측면에서 그것의 효용과 가치 그리고 문화전승의 장으로서 그 활용방안을 검토하였다.

경관경험의 향상을 위한 문화.역사 지역의 경관계획 및 관리에 대한 연구 - 경주시 문화재와 주변지역을 중심으로 - (Landscape planning and conservation for cultural -historical places to improve landscape experience-focused on Kyoung Ju city-)

  • Cultural-historical places, due to their strong symbolic sense of place shared in various people, have important impacts on people's cognitive and emotional reactions. Especially, the visual characteristics of surrounding areas of cultural -historical places directly influence the way the places are perceived, because they function as a visual background of the places. This study examined how the visual characteristics of surrounding landscape of cultural-historical places nfluenced the perception of the places. The visual characteristics of the surrounding landscape was minipulated by a computer simulation in the two aspects; quality and scale. The quality of the simulated landscape was divided by two kinds : natural and artificial . The scale of the simulated landscape was classified by three kinds : 1/3 of the middle ground, 2/3, and 3/3. Specifically, in each photo simulation, simulated natural or artificial background was introduced up to 1/3, 2/3 or the full height of historic monument. After a computer simulation, people's cognitive and emotional reactions to the simulated slides were investigated. The results showed that the quality of surrounding landscape have a great impact on all the cognitive and emotional reactions investigated. On the vontrary, the scale of surrounding landscape was found to habve an impact on partial reactions, such as all the emotions, part of the cognitions, and visiting preference only. The results revealed that the visual characteristics of surrounding landscape should be considered as the crucial elements in planning of cultural-historical places. Based on the study results, several suggestions were made for the landscape planning and conservation for cultural-historical places and historic cities.

탑골공원의 문화적 해석 (A Cultural Reading on Tapgol Park)

  • This study seeks to find new strategies for the development of Tapgol Park and to identify Programs to promote this development. In addition, the study specifies the purpose and meaning of these efforts by revealing social aspects not apparent in the physical form of the site, and reading how these aspects influenced the development of Tapgol Park Because the focus of the study lies in reading cultural aspects of the site which have to be understood within the context of their social circumstances, the study drew materials from mass media such as newspapers and literary magazines, which best reflect these social aspects. Interpreting the over 100 you history of Tapgol Park in a cultural context, the study found a meaningful suggestion that such a small urban place located in a city forms a cultural identity in the course of communicating with its surrounding social situations. The change in the identity of Tapgol Park has been sensitive to changing social circumstances rather than the physical structure of the space. The original function of Tapgol Park as a traditional city park has gradually changed towards strengthening social functions, much like the character of an urban plaza. In the process of change the park developed a unique culture. This park culture, however, came not from the original design but from its close interactions with social circumstances changing over time. At the same time, the change in identity seen in Tapgol Park has not been fresh formed. It can be said that the inertia came into light with the potential powers under the place over the long history having been combined into the then social circumstances. In early 2002, the park re-opened, refurbished as one of the relics of the March 1st Movement. Investigating how cultural inertias that have been developing in various forms to date will change and be maintained in this new paradigm is an important assignment for researchers.

  • Vesely explains, the main source of our confusion and nihilism comes most probably from the ambiguous relationship between modem architecture, technology and aesthetics. Also, to overcome such crucial problems, many theorists recently emphasize to take part in cultural civilization and to preserve creative genes of great culture that is based on our interpretation of 'ethical and mythical nucleus of mankind,' rather than in technical modernization that constitutes a sort of subtle destruction of mytho-ethical nucleus of a society. They for architecture also strongly stress on a mythopoetic imagination and an ontological construction of building, which could make a form symbolic and mythical rather than mathematical and aesthetic representation. On this point, 'myth' becomes a vital idea for constructing and construing architectural form and space. And it is also one of the essential concepts to understand both the motive power of cultural continuation of place and the meaning of architecture. Nevertheless, its meaning and the citation of word in architectural essay are still obscure. It might be because the original concept of myth not only has been lain in the matter of philosophical contemplation. Thus, the intention of the research is focused on lightening the meaning of myth in architectural term. Especially, it is, first, concentrated on interpreting philosopher Ernst Cassirer's reflections which were written in order to emphasize the importance of 'mythical consciousness' for the world's cultural civilization. And, the second, it will continue to interpret the myth as a sign within the semiotic concept of Charles Sanders Peirce, and further to emphasis the significance of mythic signs for the continuance of artistic and cultural idea including architecture. The contents of the paper is not that of architectural planning and design methodology, rather architectural philosophy and epistemology. Nevertheless, in regard to architecture, the research will, against today's un-discriminated use of symbolic motifs and instrumental representation of form, suggest a concrete architectural and aesthetic theory of myth and sign, especially of the relationship between the idea of semiology and the function of cultural continuity.

브랜드 개성이 제품 개성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 - 한국과 독일의 실험연구를 중심으로 - (Brand as determinant of evaluation of product personality - A cross-cultural study -)

  • A cross-cultural study was carried out in Germany and in South Korea in order to investigate the relationship between brand personality and product personality facilitating the three dimensions of personality agreeableness, excitement, and extroversion. Two pairs of shoes were prepared across categories of product function symbolic (a pair of high-heeled shoes) versus utilitarian (a pair of sport shoes). In experiments, each pair of shoes was labeled as a luxury brand ("Versace") or a casual brand ("C&A", Germany; "Migliore", South Korea) or left unlabeled. Prior to the experiments, an expert group in each country evaluated the brand personality in terms of "cheerful" (agreeableness), "honest"(conscientiousness), and "provocative" (extroversion) and the results were considered as a baseline. In Experiment I and II, subjects were exposed to two pairs of shoes labeled in one of the three ways and assessed the personality of both pairs of shoes using the personality traits, cheerful, honest, and provocative. Identical versions of the experiment were conveyed in Germany (N=56), an individualist culture, and in South Korea (N=72), a collectivist culture, and we purposed to find cultural differences in evaluating product personalities influenced by brands. The empirical results do not show any significant influence of brand personality on product personality in either cultural group (p>.05). Nevertheless, the subjects estimated the retail price of the shoes to be significantly different depending on the brands in both cultural groups (p<.001).

지방문화축제에 관한 인터넷정보의 평가 -2001년 문화관광부지정 문화축제를 중심으로- (The Assesment of the Internet Information on Provincial Cultural Festivals -Based on the "Cultural Festivals of Korea 2001" Designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism-)

  • The study aims at assessing information on cultural festivals furnished through the internet homepage of a provincial government. The study examines 29 tourist festivals of ˝Cultural Festivals of Korea 2001˝, designated by the Ministry of Culture and Tournism. Based on the inquiring table, framed through the previous study, each festival´s information was surveyed and analyzed, by visiting the homepages of provincial governments. The results of the study show that 1) ˝The information of festival˝ is low in quality. Particularly, ˝the contents of festival˝ needs to be improved and expanded and ˝the festival periods˝ should be brought up to date. These are the important factors in making a decision to participate in the festival and the chief attraction of a homepage, well-planned and detailed information can influence more tourists who are interested in visiting a festival. 2) Seventeen festivals support ˝foreign language˝. But ˝festival information˝ is weak as it provides only an outline of festival and doesn´t even contain the date and contents of festival. Valuable information, like transportations, accommodations and restaurants when tourists visit a tourist spot, and detailed festival contents should be provided. 3) ˝Search˝ and ˝Q and A˝ are function which provide specifics for users. In addition to the homepage of a local government, these functions on the web page of cultural festivals or on an exclusive web page of tourism is required. 4) The homepage of festivals should offer ˝the information of participation˝. The convenience of information searchers should be considered by providing them information such as local prices, transportations, accommodations and restaurants which are necessary to participate in festival.

안경디자인에 있어서 전통문양의 문화적 의미 연구 (Cultural Value of Traditional Pattern in the Eyewear Design)

  • 목적: 안경의 기능이 점차 문화적, 심리적, 사회학적 측면으로 확대 되는 점에 주목하고, 그러한 요구에 맞는 디자인을 위해 전통문양을 접목하는 방법 연구. 방법: 전통문양의 상징성을 이해하고, 그 중에서 세계적인 보편성을 지닌 팔메트 문양 넝쿨장식문양 등의 문양연구와 전통재료기법의 하나인 자수기법, 조각보 기법 등을 안경의 템플과 안경 클리너 등에 현대적으로 재구성하여 응용하는 방법을 제시하였다. 결과: 세계화는 문화의 교차적 소비현상을 빠르게 촉진시키고 있다. 그러므로 세계적인 보편성위에 그 민족의 미적 특질이 잘 드러난 전통문양을 활용한 안경디자인은 오히려 세계 시장의 이러한 속성에 적응하여 성장할 수 있는 새로운 자원이 된다. 이 논문에서는 전통문양 및 전통기법을 활용하여 현대화함으로써 안경 디자인의 문화적 가치를 발견하고, 현대 소비자의 문화적 욕구와 접목할 수 있는 새로운 시각을 제안하였다. 결론: 안경은 소비자의 사회적 지위를 표상하고, 현재의 심리적 언어로써 하나의 스타일을 표현해내는 도구가 되었다. 그러므로 전통문양을 활용한 안경디자인은 소비자의 문화적 소비욕구를 충족시켜주는 계기를 마련해주며, 기존의 안경디자인이 지니고 있는 서구 문화중심의 디자인 개념을 동양적인 미감으로 전환시키는 계기를 마련한다.

<테레사의 초상>에 투영된 쿠바 여성의 사회문화적 이미지 연구 (A study on the socio-cultural images of the cuban female reflected in the film Retrato de Teresa)

  • The principal purpose of this study is to analyse and critique how precisely the representation of women in the film Retrato de Teresa reconstructs the socio-cultural image of the female in the late seventies of Cuban society. The film of Pastor Vega is obviously an outstanding challenge on the new subject of 'women's liberation' against machismo in the context of the Cuban society. Teresa, the female character, as a socio-cultural image of the Cuban society don't focuses on the declarative and iconic images of the women's role as a revolutionary heroin that had appeared frequently in the films of the sixties, but she struggles for getting more realistic and pragmatic values such as women's emancipation to take rights in daily life. Therefore, the declaration of the emancipation of Teresa against machismo of her husband $Ram{\acute{o}}n$ has the special and symbolic meanings of social role and function of the film in the process of Cuban cultural revolution. The film concentrates on inducing the audience to make new perspectives such as women and gender issues in the daily experience of Cuban society where the machista ideologies and practices characteristic of a patriarchal society. Conclusively the female image of this film does not represent a national heroin, but reflects the women's desire, hope, and dreams in the society. Teresa makes the audience think of representations of the true meanings of the revolution in daily life, the machista ideologies in the patriarchal society, and the women's role and fuction in the Cuban society.

현대패션에 나타난 타이포그래피에 관한 연구 (The Study of Typography Expressed in Modern Fashion)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to examine how typography, which has become apparent in many areas of modern society, is expressed, portrayed and how its value, function and significance in fashion can be understood. In order to undertake this study, the concept of typography was examined in detail, the verbal and formative function of typography carefully considered, and the different types of typography were analyzed and categorized in to the below areas : - Typography for the increasing of brand logo recognition - Typography as a social slogan - Typography for the increasing of collective belongingness - Typography as an image - Typography as a symbol. As a result, the typography plays an important role of a verbal tool in modern fashion design. Through typography, fashion was able to explain in much detail the overstatement of society criticizing character and functionality of information conveyance.
