  • The study aims at constructing adaptation model, CampusQual, to evaluate the services which Tsinghua provides for Korean Students. The study is based on ServQual's "expectation-feeling difference" via conducting a survey on satisfaction on their campus life. We implement a survey including 30 questions in 5 sections: demographic statistics, study & information literacy, campus life, social & culture and regulations. Then through CampusQual model, we analyze the Korean students' adaptation level. CampusQual is a new service model that would enable Korean students to better live and study in universities in China. It also provides feasible suggestions and guidance for administrators on improving campus services for Korean Students.

  • The forestry development policies and projects in Korea have been implemented under various related acts. These acts include the Framework Act on the National Land and Framework Act on Forestry enacted by each administration. However, there are some limitations to encourage a variety of mountain villages and forestry development policies due to duplication and overlap between the relevant acts. Nowadays, the fields of local development have evolved and become integrated not only by infrastructures but also in various fields such as multi-functional industries including tourism, green care, cultural welfare, etc. Therefore, the current legal system may not effectively accept and support various mountain village development policies and projects. This study tried to determine the necessity of reorganizing th-e related legal system through a field survey of planners, residents and analysts regarding the correlation between legal systems and projects. For these reasons, this study tried to determine the problems of the current legal system and then, suggested alternative methods related to the legal system for integrated rural development. The scope of the study is as follows: 1) correlation analysis between relevant laws and development projects and 2) field survey to determine the legitimacy and validity for the reorganization of the legal system.

  • The Social Overhead Capital contains roads, railroad system, airports, seaport, waterworks, electric power plants, and etc. This SOC is very important, not only as a national economic competitiveness factor, but also as a national security factor. For example, 'Freedom Express Way' works as a tool of psychological warfare to the North Korea, as well as an economics infrastructure. In spite of that, until now on, we have disregarded the SOC as a national security factor. Constructing the SOC, only considering economic cost, we have not fulfilled other purpose requirement like stable national security, balanced development. When we invest the money to construct the SOC, considering multi-purpose requirement like military purpose, economic purpose, social purpose and cultural purpose, as a whole national wide point of view, the scares national resources and government budgets will be saved.

  • For the study on the African style reflected in fashion designs since 2000, the applications of African style shown in the four major collections from 2000 S/S to 2005 F/W and some African designers' collections have been analyzed and compared. In this study, 218 pieces of fashion design from the four major collections and 80 pieces from the African designers' collections have been analyzed in three categories - traditional clothes, traditional textile design and accessories. First, in the formal application of traditional clothes, the western clothes seasoned with the traditional images takes the majority of the cases in both the four major collections and the African designers' collections by 89.4% and 77.5%, respectively. However, the African designers have a tendency to actively receive modernism on the traditional clothes, while most of the western designers in the four major collections re-explain and distort the natural and primitive images of Africa into the ones longed for by the westerns. Second, in the textile design, the African designers adopt colorful and geometrical patterns of traditional textile designs of West Africa, while various animalistic patterns (36.2%) are used in the four major collections. The western designers mistakenly mix these patterns with those from the West or other traditional patterns from different cultures, obstructing proper understanding of the African culture. Third, accessories are the cultural elements most widely utilized by the African designers. In the African designers' collections, they are simplified to provide the functions well-matched with the modern clothes. In the four major collections, however, the primitive and colorful accessories found in African tribal culture are used in an exaggerated manner.

  • Architectural history traces the changes in architecture through various traditions, regions, overarching stylistic trends, and dates. This study identified terminologies related to the proximity and frequency in the architectural history areas by text mining and association analysis. This study explored terminologies by investigating articles published in the "Journal of Architectural History", a sole journal for the architectural history studies. First, key terminologies that appeared frequently were extracted from paper that had titles, keywords, and abstracts. Then, we analyzed some typical and specific key terminologies that appear frequently and partially depending on the research areas. Finally, association analysis was used to find the frequent patterns in the key terminologies. This research can be used as fundamental data for understanding issues and trends in areas on the architectural history.

  • The regional differences between urban and rural areas make many diverse differences. There are various differences between urban and rural areas such as economic gap and cultural gap. There is also a difference between urban and rural areas in accessing and utilizing information. The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between the information gap and the income gap among farmers and fishermen groups, where information gap is considered to be more serious than other groups. In other words, we tried to examine whether the information gap between farmers and peasants affects the income gap. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between informatization level and income of farmers based on the information gap index and survey results conducted every year by the government. The results show that there is a statistically significant positive relationship between the informatization level of farmers and household income. In addition, the trend of the regression coefficient is positive, suggesting that the government needs various informatization policies to increase the informatization level of farmers.

  • The main objective of this paper is to examine the applicability of Linan and Chen's entrepreneurial intention model (EIM) in predicting the entrepreneurial intention. EIM is an adaptation of the Theory of Planned Behavior that focuses on entrepreneurial intention and hypothesizing slightly different patterns of relationship with regards to subjective norms. The model also includes human capital and demographic factors. Snowball sampling method was used to collect data using the entrepreneurial intention questionnaire (EIQ) through several social media platforms. The survey indicates that the overall entrepreneurial intention of Saudi students is high (mean = 5.41). Eight out of the seventeen hypothesized relationships were found to be significant. Among the demographic variables, gender-personal attitude was significant whereas self employment experience and years of business education were found to be significantly related with perceived behavioral control. The statistical analysis using partial least square structural equation modelling validated the model. All the three antecedents of entrepreneurial intention were significantly related with entrepreneurial intention. The results of this study will help policy makers to get deep understanding into the phenomenon of entrepreneurship among Saudi university students and thereby develop a conducive environment. This study also validates the entrepreneurial intention model in a different cultural context.
