표고버섯골목의 재활용에 관한 연구(I) - Cellulose의 결정구조(結晶構造)를 중심으로 - (A Study of Recycle of Waste Wood after Cultivating Oak Mushroom - On the Crystal Structure of Cellulose -)

  • To provide further information for reutilization of the waste wood obtained after cultivating oak mushroom in Kangwon-do, the crystal structures of the waste wood were investigated and compared to those of normal woods by a series of x-ray diffraction analysis. The results obtained are as follows: 1. An x-ray diffraction diagram of cultivated wood for 5 years was same as that of typical cellulose with some orientation of cellulose crystallites, but that of cultivated wood for 8 years a random. 2. Crystallinity indices in normal and cultivated woods for 5 years ranged from 57% to 60%. In the cultivated wood for 8 years, however, the value showed about 40%. 3. Crystallite widths of cultivated woods for 5 years and for 8 years were 3 nm and 2.5 nm, respectively. 4. Intensity ratios of equatorial and meridional layers did not show any significant differences. From the above results, it is clear that the waste wood obtained after cultivating oak mush room for 5 years showed basically same crystal structures with normal wood. Therefore, we think that the waste wood may be used available for cellulosic material instead of normal wood.

  • Background: Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer is wood-cultivated ginseng (WCG) in Korea which depends on an artificial forest growth method. To produce this type of ginseng, various P. ginseng cultivars can be used. To obtain a WCG similar to wild ginseng (WG), this method is usually performed in a mountain using seeds or seedlings of cultivated ginseng (CG) and WG. Recently, the WCG industry is suffering a problem in that Panax notoginseng (Burk.) F. H. Chen or Panax quinquefolium L. are being sold as WCG Korean market; These morphological similarities have created confusion among customers. Methods and Results: WCG samples were collected from five areas in Korea. After polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification using the primer pair labeled with fluorescence dye (FAM, NED, PET, or VIC), fragment analysis were performed. PCR products were separated by capillary electrophoresis with an ABI 3730 DNA analyzer. From the results, WCG cultivated in Korea showed very diverse genetic background. Conclusions: In this study, we tried to develop a method to discriminate between WCG, P. notoginseng or P. quinquefolium using simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Furthermore, we analyzed the genetic diversity of WCG collected from five cultivation areas in Korea.

품종과 재배지역에 따른 고춧가루의 물리적 특성 (Physical Characteristics of Red Pepper Powder by Cultivation Area and Variety)

  • 품종 및 재배지역에 따른 고춧가루의 물리적 특성을 살펴보기 위하여 이완밀도, 압축밀도, 압축시험, 안식각, 비회복성일 및 응력이완 특성을 살펴보았다. 이완밀도는 0.40~0.50 g/$cm^3$ 범위에 있었으며 압축밀도는 0.49~0.67 g/$cm^3$ 범위에 있었다. 하우스너 비는 음성에서 재배된 청양품종과 PR마니따품종이 가장 높았다. 안식각은 35.1~$41.7^{\circ}$의 범위를 보였으며, 압축성은 0.0046~0.0092, 압축비는 1.003~1.040 범위이었다. 비회복성 일은 68~80%의 범위를 보였다. $k_2$값은 1.25~1.56의 분포를 보였고, 이완성은 28.02~42.03 %의 범위를 보였다. 본 연구결과 수원의 부촌과 음성의 PR 마니따 품종이 가장 응집성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 가해진 힘에 따른 응집성과 유동성은 음성에서 재배된 PR마니따 품종이 가장 컸으며, 영양에서 재배된 청양품종이 탄성체의 성질이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 고춧가루의 물리적 특성은 식품가공 공정의 설계 및 운용 시 중요한 자료로 활용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.

경작지 내 소규모 수림의 경관생태적 특성 분석 (A Character Analysis of the Woodland in Cultivated Areas in point of Landscape Ecology)

  • This research put most emphasis on setting the guidelines for improvement through character analysis of landscape ecology to cope with ecological malfunction of the woodland surrounded in cultivated areas. The results are as follows. 1) As a result of character analysis of the woodland in cultivated area in point of landscape ecology in five case sites, the size of case site 3 is the largest as $3,000m^2$ and it is shown that a colony of pine trees which is valuable in terms of ecological, scientific, historic and cultural senses. 2) As a result of analysis on expansibility of woodland in cultivated area, case site 1 is 0.25, the lowest, flexibility is 4, the highest. In order to improve ecological function in woodland, it is regarded that maintaining curve form rather than straight one. 3) As a result of analysis of morphological diversity, case site 5 shows 1.3, the highest. However, the condition of vegetation and emergence frequency of species indicates low value degree. 4) Based on the result of analysis of landscape ecological character like above, the number of guidelines for the woodland in cultivated area is three and vegetation is four.

양조용 적색 포도 품종의 수형에 따른 수체생장, 과실 품질 및 양조적성 (Vine growth, fruit, and wine quality of red wine grapes cultivated in different trellises)

  • 양조용 포도인 'Doonuri', 'Narsha', 'Cabernet Sauvignon', 'Merlot' 품종에 개량일자형(MT), 주지갱신형(MTC), 이중커튼형(GDC) 수형을 적용하여 재배할 때 수체생장, 과실 품질, 와인특성의 변화를 2년(2018, 2019년)간 비교하였다. 이중커튼형(GDC) 수형으로 재배된 양조용 품종들은 수체생장(주간부 굵기, 신초 굵기, 절간장)의 대부분 조사항목이 개량일자형(MT), 주지갱신형(MTC)에 비해 유의하게 적게 이루어졌다. 이중커튼형(GDC) 수형은 수확량이 다른 수형에 비해 1.5 내지 2배로 증가하였지만, 과실 품질(당함량, 산함량, 과립크기)에는 차이가 없는 결과를 나타내었다. 와인의 anthocyanin 함량과 적색도는 모든 적색 양조용 포도 품종에서 이중커튼(GDC) 수형 처리구에서 높은 경향이었다.

한국산 야생 및 재배동백종자의 지방산 조성 (Fatty Acid Composition of Total Lipids from Seeds of Wild and Cultivated Camellia Japonica)

  • The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica were studied for their lipid contents and fatty acid composition. The seeds of wild and cultivated Camellia japonica contained 70.2% and 73.4% lipids, respectively. Fifteen fatty acids were identified in the lipids from the Camellia japonica seeds. In addition to confirming the 5 previously reported (16 : 0, 18 : 0, 18 : 1, 18 : 2 and 18 : 3), 10 more acids were characterized. The newly identified acids were 14 : 0, 16 : 1, 17 : 0, 20 : 0, 20 : 1, 20 : 2, 22 : 0, 22 : 1, 24 : 0 and 24 : 1. Both seeds lipids contained 18 : 1 in high levels (81. 6${\sim}$82. 2%). Little difference in fatty acid composition was noted between the wild and cultivated Camellia japonica seed lipids. The fatty acid composition of commercial Camellia japonica oil was similar to those of the Camellia japonica seed lipids.

Structure Determination of Heishuixiecaoline A from Valeriana fauriei and Its Content from Different Cultivated Regions by HPLC/PDA Analysis

  • A germacrane-type sesquiterpenoid was isolated and purified from a methanol extract of the roots of Valeriana fauriei (RVF) through open column chromatography using silica gel. This compound was verified to be heishuixiecaoline A by spectroscopic analysis. This compound was isolated for the first time from RVF. Quantitative analysis of heishuixiecaoline A from RVF cultivated from three different regions (Eumseong, Jinbu, and Jinan regions) was performed by combining high-performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector. The extract of RVF cultivated in the Jinbu region showed the highest content (9.23 mg/g). In addition, a significant amount of the compound was detected in all RVF samples, which could be expected since it is a characteristic compound of RVF. The sesquiterpenoid group heishuixiecaoline A was isolated from RVF, a resource for various pharmacological substances, and quantitative analysis of RVF cultivated from three different regions was performed. As a result of these experiments, basic data on RVF that can be used in the development and application of pharmaceuticals and health functional foods in the future were obtained.

Ginsenosides from the Roots of Korean Cultivated-Wild Ginseng

  • Column chromatographic separation of 70% EtOH extract of the roots of Korean cultivated-wild ginseng led to the isolation of ten ginsenosides (1 - 10). The isolated compounds were identified as ginsenoside $Rg_1$ (1), ginsenoside Re (2), ginsenoside Rc (3), ginsenoside $Rb_1$ (4), ginsenoside $Rb_2$ (5), ginsenoside Rd (6), ginsenoside $Rg_3$ (7), ginsenoside $F_2$ (8), ginsenoside $Rb_3$ (9), and ginsenoside $Rd_2$ (10) by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The compounds (1 - 10) were for the first time isolated from the roots of Korean cultivated-wild ginseng.

Selection of Natural Materials for Eco-friendly Control for Blight of Wood-Cultivated Ginseng(Panax ginseng)

  • This study was carried out to control the disease of wood-cultivated ginseng(panax ginseng) using natural materials. Four fungi spices such as Pythium ultimum, Alternaria alternata, Fusarium oxysporum and Rhizoctonia solani which caused disease of the wood-cultivated ginseng were investigated. The infection of these fungi causes symptom on roots, stems and leaves. The leaves became dry and die. The disease caused by Pythium ultimum can be prevented by using friendly environmental materials like Chamaecyparis obtuse essential oil and Wormstop. Alternaria alternata and Fusarium oxysporum might be prevented by using wormstop extracted from Neem tree(Azadirachta indica). No substance tested effectively prevents the growth of Rhizoctonia solani.

  • Although it has been known though many morphological and physiological studies, its genetic diversity and population structure have not yet been investigated in this species. Therefore, detailed studies, in particular at the DNA level, on genetic diversity of natural populations of wild sea lettuce, and genetic relationships between natural sea lettuce and cultivated sea lettuce are necessary from the viewpoint of plant evolution.
