저 에너지 표면 개질 이온원이 설치된 진공 웹 공정을 이용한 2층 flexible copper clad laminate 제작 (Fabrication of 2-layer Flexible Copper Clad Laminate by Vacuum Web Coater with a Low Energy Ion Source for Surface Modification)

  • In order to fabricate adhesiveless 2-layer flexible copper clad laminate (FCCL) used for COF (chip on film) with high peel strength, polyimide (PI; Kapton-EN, $38\;{\mu}m$) surface was modified by reactive $O_2^+$ and $N_2O^+$ ion beam irradiation. 300 mm-long linear electron-Hall drift ion source was used for ion irradiation with ion current density (J) higher than $0.5\;mA/cm^2$ and energy lower than 200 eV. By vacuum web coating process, PI surface was modified by linear ion source and then 10-20 nm thick Ni-Cr and 200 nm thick Cu film were in-situ sputtered as a tie layer and seed layer, respectively. Above this sputtered layer, another $8-9{\mu}m$ thick Cu layer was grown by electroplating and subsequently acid and base resistance and thermal stability were tested for examining the change of peel strength. Peel strength for the FCCLs treated by both $O_2^+$ and $N_2O^+$ ion irradiation showed similar magnitudes and increased as the thickness of tie layer increased. FCCL with Cu (200 nm)/Ni-Cr (20 nm)/PI structure irradiated with $N_2O^+$ at $1{\times}10^{16}/cm^2$ ion fluence was proved to have a strong peel strength of 0.73 kgf/cm for as-received and 0.34 kgf/cm after thermal test.

  • This paper deals with the recent development of high-voltage cathode materials of mono- and di- metal ions substituted spinel $LiMn_2O_4$ for lithium batteries. $LiCu_xMn_{2-x}O_4(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.5)$ shows reversible intercalation/deintercalation in two potential regions, $3.9\~43\;and\;4.8-5.0V$ and stable electrochemical cycling behavior but with low capacity. $LiNi_{0.5}Mn_{1.5}O_4$ obtained by a sol-gel process delivers a capacity of 127mAh $g^{-1}$ on the first cycle and sustains a value of 124 mAh $g^{-1}$ even after the 60th cycle. The $Li_xCr_yMn_{2-y}O_4(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.5)$ solid-solutions exhibit enhanced specific capacity, larger average voltage, and improved cycling behaviors for low Cr content. $LiCr_yMn_{2-y}O_4$ presents a reversible Li deintercalation process at 4.9V, whose capacity is proportional to the Cr content in the range of $0.25{\leq}x{\leq}0.5$ and delivers higher capacities. $LiM_yCr_{0.5-y}Mn_{1.5}O_4(M=Fe\;or\;Al)$ shows that the capacity retention is lowered compared with lithium manganate. The cumulative capacities obtainable with Al-substitutted materials are less than those with Fe-substituted materials. $LiCr_xNi_{0.5-x}Mn_{1.5}O_4(x=0.1)$ delivers a high initial capacity of 1$152mAh\;g^{-1}$ with excellent cycleability.

지르코늄합금의 부식특성에 미치는 Cu 영향 평가 (Evaluation of Cu Effect on Corrosion Characteristics of Zr Alloys)

  • The effect of Cu addition on the corrosion characteristics of Zr alloys that developed for nuclear fuel cladding in KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) was evaluated. The alloys having different element of Nb, Sn, Fe, Cr and Cu were manufactured and the corrosion tests of the alloys were performed in static autoclave at $360^{\circ}C$, distilled water condition. The alloys were also examined for their microstructures using the optical microscope and the TEM equipped with EDS and the oxide property was characterized by using X-ray diffraction. From the result of corrosion test more than 450 days, the corrosion rate of the Zr-based alloys was changed with alloying element such as Nb, Sn, Fe, Cr and especially affected by Cu addition. The corrosion resistance was increased with increasing the Cu content and the tetragonal $ZrO_2$ layer was more stabilized on the Cu-containing alloys.

퇴비화 과정중 전처리방법에 따른 중금속함량의 변화 (Effect of Pre-treatment Methods on Heavy Metals Analysis of organic Solid Wastes during Composting)

  • 본 연구는 퇴비화 과정 중 일어나는 중금속의 변화를 살펴보고 시료 전처리 방법이 중금속 농도에 미치는 영향을 평가하고자 실시하였다. 전처리 방법으로는 건식, $HNO_3-HClO_4$, aqua-regia, 염산환류, $HNO_3-HClO_4-HF$, 습식가압 분해방법을 시용하였으며, 습식가압 분해방법에서는 각각 $HNO_3$, HCl, $HNO_3(2+1)$의 세 가지 산을 시용하였다. 표준물질 SRM 2781에 대한 시험결과 Cr과 Zn의 회수율은 50-60% 정도로 낮았고, Ni은 100% 이상으로 가장 높았으며, Cd과 Cu는 80-90% 수준이었으며, 건식분해 방법은 회수율이 가장 낮았다. 퇴비원료 물질에 대한 시험에서 습식가압 분해방법은 다른 방법보다 3-4배 이상 높은 Cd농도가 검출되었으며, 건식분해 방법의 회수율은 전반적으로 가장 낮은 회수율을 나타내었다. 퇴비화 기간동안 Cd은 습식가압분해 방법에서 가장 높은 농도가 검출되었다. Cr은 건식분해방법에서 Cu는 aqua-regia분해와 염산환류분해에서 가장 낮게 검출되었다. Pb과 Zn은 중금속 항목중에서 분해방법간 차이가 적었다. Ni은 건식분해에서 다른 방법에 비하여 약 2-6배정도까지 낮게 검출되었다.

  • In this paper, we evaluated the sputter-deposited Cr/Cu thin film fuses on $Al_2O_3$ substrates by the adhesive, breaking and repetitive over-current test as a function of temperature on them. Each Cr and Cu was deposited $1700{\pm}300{\AA},\;3700{\pm}300{\AA}$ using RF sputtering unit. The electroplated Cu of $25{\mu}m$ thickness was added in order to make sensitive thin film fuse of the normal current 15[A]. The adhesive strength and the number of repetition were Increasing and then decreasing with the temperature. The maximum adhesive strength of over $9kgf/9mm^2$ was obtained at $400^{\circ}C$. In the breaking test, the post-arc time characteristic was better than any other factor.

여성용 위생용품의 유해중금속 분석 (Determination of Heavy Metals in Sanitary Products of Women)

  • 각국의 여성용 위생용품의 유해중금속을 비교 평가하기 위하여, 일회용 생리대는 한국 3개사, 일본 2개사, 미국 3개사, 독일 3개사, 중국 2개사의 시료와, 여성용 일회용 탐폰은 한국 1개사, 일본 2개사, 미국 2개사 시료를 대상으로 Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Cd, Pb의 유해중금속 분석을 행하였다. 여성용 일회용 생리대의 용출실험에서는 Cr, Ni, Cu가 모든 시료에서 검출 되었다. 또한 여성용 일회용 탐폰의 용출실험에서 Cr, Ni, Cu 가 모든 시료에서 검출 되었다. 여성용 일회용 탐폰의 용출실험의 결과는 생리대의 결과값보다 낮은 농도롤 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 분석한 각국 여성용 일회용 위생용품의 유해중금속의 분석값은 Oeko-Tex Standard 100의 규제치와의 비교에서 규제치 이하로 인체유해성은 없는 것으로 판단되어진다.

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of heavy metals and CN on BOD$_{5}$ measurement. The results were as follows: 1. The BOD$_{5}$ value decreased 20% in Cd(CdCl$_{2}$) 3.0mg/l, Ni(NiCl$_{2}$) 7.0mg/l, Cu(CuCl$_{2}$) 0.5mg/l, Pb($Pb(NO_{3})_{2}$) 9.0mg/l, Cr($K_{2}Cr_{2}O_{7}$) 1.0mg/l respectively. 2. The BOD$_{5}$ value decreased 10% in Zn($Zn(NO_{3})_{2}$) 5 mg/l, Fe(FeCl$_{3}$) 20mg, /l, and 25% in CN(KCN) 5mg/l, and 40% in Hg(HgCl$_{2}$) 0.2rng/l. 3. In Comparion with BOD Rapid Analyzer, the above mentioned heavy metals concentrations have no effect on BOD$_{5}$ value of that analyzer except CN.

Ni기 삽입금속에 의해 진공 브레이징된 STS303-Cu의 특성평가 (Evaluation of the STS303-Cu vacuum-brazed by Ni-based alloy)

  • Microstructure and tensile strength of the vacuum brazed stainless steel(STS303) and Cu were investigated. For brazing, the BNi-2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 (A.W.S standard) were used as filler metals. The Oxides such as $Cr_2O_3$ and $SiO_2$ were observed at brazed layers between STS303 and Cu matrix. Also, the intermetallic compounds of Cr-B and Ni-P were observed at brazed layers. Brazed STS303-Cu specimens with BNi-2, 3, 4 filler metals showed almost elastic deformation followed by plastic yielding and strain hardening up to a peak stress. On the other hand, it is likely that the fracture of the brazed specimens with BNi-6 and 7 was occurred in elastic range without plastic yielding up to a peak stress. Among these filler metals, the BNi-2 brazed at $1050^{\circ}C$ showed excellent wettability and the highest tensile strength (101.6MPa).

태양열 집열기에 사용될 선택흡수막의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Selective Coatings for Solar Thermal Collectors)

  • Metal-metal oxide (M-M oxide) cermet solar selective coatings with a double cermet layer film structure were deposited on the Al-deposited glass substrate by using a directed current (DC) magnetron sputtering technology. M oxide (CrO and ZrO) was used as the ceramic component in the cermets, and Cr and Zr used as the metallic components. In addition, black Cr (Cr-$Cr_2O_3$ cermet) solar selective coatings were deposited on the Ni-plated Cu substrate by using a electroplating method for comparison. The thermal stability tests were carried out for performance evaluation of solar coatings. Reflectance measurements were used to evaluate both solar absorptance(${\alpha}$) and thermal emittance (${\epsilon}$) of the solar coatings before and after thermal testing by using a spectrometer. Optical properties of optimized cermet solar coatings were ${\alpha}{\simeq}0.94-0.96$ and ${\epsilon}{\simeq}0.1$ ($100^{\circ}C$). The results of thermal stability test of M-M oxide solar coatings showed that the Cr-CrO cermet solar selective coatings were more stable than the Zr-ZrO cermet selective coatings at temperature of both $400^{\circ}C$ in air and $450^{\circ}C$ in vacuum. The black Cr solar selective coatings were degraded in air at temperature of $400^{\circ}C$. The main optical degradation modes of these coatings were diffusion of metal atoms, and oxidation.

삼광 금-은광산 일대의 하상퇴적물과 토양내 함유된 독성원소의 지구화학적 부화와 이동 (Geochemical Enrichment and Migration of Environmental Toxic Elements in Stream Sediments and Soils from the Samkwang Au-Ag Mine Area, Korea)

  • Dispersion, migration and enrichment of environmental toxic elements from the Samkwang Au-Ag mine area were investigated based upon major, minor and rare earth element geochemistry. The Samkwang mine area composed mainly of Precambrian granitic gneiss. The mine had been mined for gold and silver, but closed in 1996. According to the X-ray powder diffraction, mineral composition of stream sediments and soils were partly variable mineralogy, which are composed of quartz, orthoclase, plagioclase, amphibole, muscovite, biotite and chlorite, respectively. Major element variations of the host granitic gneiss, stream sediments and soils of mining and non-mining drainage, indicate that those compositions are decrese $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, MgO, $TiO_2$, $P_2O_5$ and LOI with increasing $SiO_2$ respectively. Average compositional ranges (ppm) of minor and/or environmental toxic elements within those samples are revealed as As=<2-4500, Cd=<1-24, Cu=6-117, Sb=1-29, Pb=17-1377 and Zn=32-938, which are extremely high concentrations of sediments from the mining drainage (As=2006, Cd=l1, Cu=71, Pb=587 and Zn=481 ppm, respectively) than concentrations of the other samples and host granitic gneiss. Major elements (average enrichment index=6.53) in all samples are mostly enriched, excepting $SiO_2$, $Na_2O$ and $K_2O$, normalized by composition of host granitic gneiss. Rare earth element (average enrichment index=2.34) are enriched with the sediments from the mining drainage. Minor and/or environmental toxic elements within all samples on the basis of host rock were strongly enriched of all elements (especially As, Br, Cu, Pb and Zn), excepting Ba, Cr, Rb and Sr. Average enrichment index of trace elements in all samples is 15.55 (sediments of mining drainage=37.33). Potentially toxic elements (As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn) of the samples revealed that average enrichment index is 46.10 (sediments of mining drainage=80.20, sediments of nonmining drainage=5.35, sediments of confluent drainage=20.22, subsurface soils of mining drainage=7.97 and subsurface soils of non-mining drainage=4.15). Sediments and soils of highly concentrated toxic elements are contained some pyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite, galena and goethite.
