600L급 LNG 차량 연료공급용 초저온 액중펌프 국산화개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Localization Development of Cryogenic Submerged Pump for the Fuel Supply system of 600-Liter-Grade LNG Vehicles)

  • In this study, localized development of a submerged cryogenic pump for use in LNG containers is conducted with large-sized commercial vehicles as the target. The submerged pump installed in an LNG storage container is the key module that supplies fuel to the engine through the reciprocating motion of a piston. Research and development on 660-L fuel containers is performed herein. The target is to achieve a mileage of 600 km or more by applying it to major NGV vehicles worldwide. In this manner, the present study aims to verify the operating mechanisms of the major parts of currently advanced products through reverse engineering in the early development process and draw basic design data.

극저온 유체 유출현상에 관한 연구 (Experiemtnal Tests of Cryogenic Liuid Spill on a Plate)

  • FLNG 혹은 FSRU와 같이 대량의 LNG를 처리하는 공정에서의 LNG 누출 사고 시, 강재의 급격한 온도변화는 구조물의 취성파괴를 야기시킬 가능성이 있다. 본 논문에서는 극저온 유출 실험을 통해 극저온 유체가 강판에 형성되는 원리 및 과정을 알아보고, 노즐로부터의 거리 및 노출시간에 따른 강판의 온도변화의 상관관계를 분석하고자 한다. 극저온 유체는 LN2(비점 -192℃) 및 LNG(비점 -162℃) 두 가지 종류를 사용하였으며, 유출량은 LN2의 경우 1.6L/min 및 LNG 1.5L/min로 강판의 상부에서 분사하였다. 강재는 DH계열 이용하였으며, 총 10 지점에서 온도를 측정하였다. 실험 결과 극저온 유출 초기 강재표면에서 Leidenfrost 효과가 관찰 되었으며, 극저온 유체가 흐르는 경로 및 유체의 증발열에 차이에 따라 강재의 온도분포가 다르게 나타나는 것을 발견하였다.

초저온 질소생상공정의 Exergy 해석 및 평가 (Exergy Analysis and Evaluation of Cryogenic Nitrogen Production Process)

  • The exergy method is used for analysis and evaluation of the cryogenic nitrogen production process which is operated by expansion turbene and liquid nitrogen. The exergy loss and thermodynamic effeciency are calculated for the each process. Also the operating efficiency and the exergy distribution are examined for each unit of proces. The optimal conditions to minimize the exergy loss of nitrogen column are found that nitrogen recovery ratio is maximum and operating pressure is 5.0 kg/cm2g. The exergy method can be used to design a plant and to evaluate its process.

극저온 볼 밀링 공정시 밀링시간 및 속도가 Ibuprofen분말의 입자 크기에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Milling Time and Speed on the Particle Size of Ibuprofen in the Cryogenic Ball Milling Process)

  • In this study, ball milling process was applied to reduce the particle size of bio-material down to submicron size. The material used was Ibuprofen. The ball milling was performed at low temperature of about $-180^{\circ}C$. The effect of processing conditions (milling time, milling speed) on the particle size was determined. The results showed that the degree of crystallite of Ibuprofen was slightly reduced by the ball milling process. The results also showed that the size of Ibuprofen was significantly reduced by the ball milling process. The effect of milling time was significant within the milling time of six hours while it was small thereafter.

  • 본 연구는 핵융합 배기가스에서 수소동위원소를 회수하기 위한 공정에 관한 것이다. 이 공정은 불순물을 제거하고 수소동위원소만을 최대로 회수하는 것이 목표이다. 수소와 중수소를 이용한 실험을 통해 수소동위원소의 회수가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 수소가 포함된 배기가스는 주로 분리막 공정에서 불순물을 제거하여 순수한 수소만을 회수하고, 헬륨-글로우 방전 세척 공정의 배기가스는 초저온 흡착 공정을 이용해서 수소를 회수하였다. 또한 정성적 위험성 평가를 위해 HAZOP 분석을 실시하였다. 시나리오 분석을 위해서 피해 예측 ALOHA 프로그램을 사용하여 영향 범위를 산출하고, 안전성 방안을 모색하였다.

  • In this paper some physical evidences indicate that reduced friction occurs in an cryogenic machining process, in which LN2 is applied to the selected cutting zone. LN2 also reduced the tool wear rate to a great extent and elongated the tool life up to four times compared to emulsion cooling.

  • 본 연구에서는 이부프로펜(Ibuprofen)분말을 마이크론(Micron) 크기의 입자로 만들기 위하여 극저온 볼 밀링 공정(Cryogenic Ball Milling Process)을 사용하였다. 극저온 볼 밀링 공정은 약 -18$0^{\circ}C$의 질소 분위기에서 6시간 동안 실행되어 졌다 이부프로펜 분말 형상의 변화는 SEM(Scanning Electronic Microscope)촬영을 통하여 관찰하였으며, 분말의 입자 크기와 분포는 입도 분석기(Particle Size Analysis)를 사용하여 극저온 볼 밀링 공정 전ㆍ후의 변화를 관찰하였다(중략)

  • To keep the superconducting (SC) magnet coils of KSTAR at proper operating conditions, not only the coils but also other cold components, such as thermal shields (TS), magnet structures, SC bus-lines (BL), and current leads (CL) must be maintained at their respective cryogenic temperatures. A helium refrigeration system (RRS) with an exergetic equivalent cooling power of 9 kW at 4.5 K without liquid nitrogen ($LN_2$) pre-cooling has been manufactured and installed. The main components of the KST AR helium refrigeration system (HRS) can be classified into the warm compression system (WCS) and the cryogenic devices according to the operating temperature levels. The process helium is compressed from 1 bar to 22 bar passing through the WCS and is supplied to cryogenic devices. The main components of cryogenic devices are consist of cold box (C/B) and distribution box (D/B). The C/B cool-down and make the various cryogenic helium for the KSTAR Tokamak and the various cryogenic helium is distributed by the D/B as per the KSTAR requirement. In this proceeding, we will present the commissioning results of the KSTAR HRS. Circuits which can simulate the thermal loads and pressure drops corresponding to the cooling channels of each cold component of KSTAR have been integrated into the helium distribution system of the HRS. Using those circuits, the performance and the capability of the HRS, to fulfill the mission of establishing the appropriate operating condition for the KSTAR SC magnet coils, have been successfully demonstrated.

철계 금속 마이크로 절삭 가공시 저온 환경에서의 버 발생에 관한 기초연구 (A Basic Study on Burr Formation of Micro Cutting Process with the Ferrous Metal at tow Temperature)

  • In this paper, a basic study on micro cutting process with SM20C at low temperature environment was performed. In macro cutting fields, the cryogenic cutting process has been applied to cut the refractory metal but, the serious problem may be generated in micro cutting fields by the cryogenic environment. However, if the proper low temperature is applied to micro cutting area, the cooling effect of cutting heat is expected. Such effect can make the reduction of tool wear and burr formation. For verifying this possibility, the micro cutting experiment at low temperature was performed and SEM images were analyzed.

  • For the production of cold forged parts with near-net-shape attributes, the quality of the tool system is responsible for an essential portion of costs fer the finished components. Therefore, a tool lift is one of the important issues on cold forging industry. There are many complicated variables related with tool life, such as material, heat-treatment, coating, lubricant, process design. In this study, heat-treatment of tool material and lubricant are investigated to improve the tool life. Deep cryogenic treatment of tool steel is very efficient to improve the wear resistance due to the fine carbide. And, friction factor of lubricants for cold forging are measured by the ring compression test. Zinc-Phosphate and $MoS_2$ lubricant is effective to sustain the friction factor under 0.1.
