석(舃)에 적용된 회차(繢次)와 수차(繡次)의 배색원칙 (Principles of Coloration for Hoecha and Sucha Applied to Seok)

  • This paper examines the way that the principles of coloration for Hoecha(繪次) and Sucha(繡次) were applied for shoe making in ancient China and Korea. Hoecha is the principle of drawing, and Sucha is the principle of embroidery. Hoecha and Sucha is the application principle of the five colors(五方色) from the five elements(五行: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth). Hoecha matchs a color with the opposite side color, and Sucha matchs a color with the beside color. A shoe consists of Sinul(body of shoe) and ornaments attached to it. According to the ratings of shoes, Hoecha and Sucha were differently applied for coloration of Sinul and its ornaments. In general, shoes were classified into Seok and Gu. For Seok, which was the high-ranked shoes, Hoecha was applied, while Sucha was applied to Gu, the low ranked shoe. As Hoecha was originally a principle of coloration for patterns on tops(jacket. 上衣), it was applied to the high ranked shoes i.e., Seok. Also, as Sucha was a principle of coloration for patterns on bottoms(skirt. 下裳), it was applied to the low ranked shoes i.e., Gu. Thus, black was decorated on red Seok, blue on white Seok, red on black Seok, yellow on hyeon(玄: a kind of black color) Seok, and white on blue Seok, all of which were applications of the principle of Hoecha. As the application of the principle of Hoecha to Seok was also done for red Seok for males and females in late Joseon, and red Seok for the crown prince in the period of the Korean Empire, black decorations were used for red Sinul. However, for blue Seok, worn by females in the period of the Korean Empire where Ming's systems prevailed, black decorations were used, which was an application of Sucha. Though there had been no discrimination between genders in the application of Hoecha and Sucha originally, the low ranked principle of coloration was applied to Seok for females.

소나무 수림의 산화적지의 이차천이와 종다양성 (The Secondary Succession and Species Diversity at the Burned Area of the Pine Forest)

  • This report is results of an investigation on the secondary succession and species diversity of the burned area. Fifty hectares of pine forest was burned by the crown fire of the spring (April 6) 1986. The results obtained from spring 1989 were summarized as follows: In the burned area , site and unburned area (U), the vascular plant fo 69 kinds, 49 kinds and 24 kinds were lsted respectively. The life form spectrum of burned area was H---e type, which is common type in most burned area and that unburned area, H---e type. The species diversity (H)and evenness index (e) of burned area (, site) were H=2.51, 1.65 and e=0.59, 0.44 and those of unburned area (U) were H=1.28 and e=0.40. The similarity index was the value of 0.594 in - and 0.236 in -U site. The similarity between and site was greater than between site and U site, and that between and U-site, The dominance index (c) of , and U-site was 0.16, 0.39 and 0.42 respectively. The succession degree (DS) of , and U-site was 244.0, 227.6 and 854.4 respectively. Soil pH, available phosphorous, and exchangeable potassium in the burned area were higher than those in the unburned area, and total nitrogen, organic carbon, and C/N ratio in the burned area were higher than those in the unburned area, and organic matter in the burned area was higher than that in the unburned area.

선사시대(先史時代)에 있었을 우리 민족복식(民族服飾)을 생각하며 (Conjectual Study on Korean Costume in the Prehistoric Period)

  • In the vast extent of time, man and his ancestors have existed on earth about 2,000,000 years. For Near-Man, they knew how to make fire and protected themselves with hairs. Old-Man covered their bodies with the skins of wild animals. New Man improved the quality, the range and ingenuity, so they fabricated clothes with the animal skins. New Man is considered as ancestor of Modern Man. They had spread widely over the earth to take advantage of their surroundings. The next period, New Stone Age was chiefly distinguished by agricultural age. He was now about to make clothes from natural fibers. The two most obvious orgins of clothing are to protect the body against environment and to decorate the body. The forms of clothing were different from the various climates and regions they had settled, for example Yo-po Hyung (Apron), Kwae-po Hung (Sewn garment), Kwan-doo Hyung (Poncho), Chun-kae Hyung (Frontopend garment), Chai-hyung Hyung (Body-conforming shape). Our ancestor had moved from Baikal Lake, Central Asia toward northeast; Shun-tung in China, Manchuria and at last Han Panninsula. Considering our basic costume of ancient times were Yu(jacket), Ko(trousers), Sang(skirt), Po (coat) with the accessories of Kwan (crown), Mo (hat), Dai (belt), Hwa, Eie (footwear), here I conjecture our costume of prehistoric period was Chaihyung Hyung(Body-conforming shape) in the purpose of body covering.

산불 피해지 복원 방법이 임분 내 미세 기후에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Forest Restoration Methods and Stand Structure on Microclimate in Burned Forest Stand)

  • 본 연구는 산불 피해지에서 복원 방법 및 수종의 구성에 따라 미세 기후가 어떻게 변하는지에 관한 연구는 거의 이루어진 바 없어 산불 피해지에서 복원 방법 및 임분의 구성에 따라 임분 내 기상 패턴이 어떻게 변화하는지에 대해 구명하고자 수행되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 독립 변수로 임분을 구성하는 수종의 종류와 생장, 임분 밀도, 그리고 피복율이며, 이에 따른 종속 변수로는 임분 내 광량, 기온, 습도, 토양 온도, 그리고 토양 수분 함량이었다. 기상 조건은 대부분 광 조건에 영향을 받는 종속 변수이나, 임분을 구성하는 수목의 생장과 피복률에도 변화하는 것으로 나타났다. 임분 내 습도는 임분 밀도와, 임분 내 기온과 수목의 수고와 음(-)의 상관 관계에 있는 것으로 나타나 임분 밀도와 수목의 생장이 증가할수록 임분 내부의 기온과 습도는 상대적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 그러나 임분의 발달은 대부분 미세 기후의 전체 평균보다는 변동계수와 같은 편차를 줄이는 형태로 더 큰 영향을 주었으며, 수관 층의 수고와 임분 내 광량과 직접적인 관계에 있는 것을 감안하면($R^2$=0.87), 임분의 구조는 광량에는 직접적인 영향을, 다른 미세 기후에는 간접적인 영향을 준 것으로 사료된다. 한편 변동계수의 경우 삼척 지역이 고성 지역보다 상대적으로 높은 값을 보였으며, 수목의 생장에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 따라서 산불 발생 이후 시간 경과에 따라 상대적으로 안정된 상태를 지니는 것으로 해석되었다. 그러나, 현재 단계에서는 산불 피해 이후 숲의 발달에 따른 임분 내부의 기상 조건의 변화상을 뚜렷하게 확인하고 일반화하기에는 많은 어려움이 있어 이를 위해서는 보다 긴 시간에 걸쳐 많은 지점에서의 기상 조건과 임분 현황을 지속적으로 조사되어야 할 것이다. 이후 일반화된 자료를 활용한다면, 임분 구조와의 관계 해석은 물론, 하층 식생 출현 등에 대한 해석에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

동해안 산불피해지 복구를 위한 산림생산력의 추정 (Estimation of Forest Productivity for Post-Wild-fire Restoration in East Coastal Areas)

  • 본 연구는 입지환경 인자를 적용하여 수종별 지위지수 추정식을 개발하고 이를 통해 해당 입지의 산림생산력을 추정함으로서 산불 피해지의 복구을 위한 수종 선택에 필요한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 입지환경 인자를 이용하여 동해안 산불 피해지역인 강릉, 고성, 동해, 그리고 삼척 지역에 적용할 수 있는 온대 중부지역의 수종별 지위지수 추정식을 조제하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 수종별 지위지수 추정식은 4~5개의 비교적 소수의 입지환경 인자를 이용하여 산림생산력에 대한 높은 추정능력을 보였다. 또한 이와 같이 개발된 수종별 지위지수 추정식을 대상으로 모형의 평균 편의, 정도, 표준오차 등의 3가지 평가통계량에 근거한 검증을 실시한 결과 수종별 오차가 모두 0.5m 이내로 본 연구에서 도출된 지위지수 추정식의 실용성을 입증할 수 있었다. 지위지수 추정식의 검증결과를 보면전반적으로 본 연구에서 개발된 수종별 지위지수 추정식의 평가통계량은 낮은 것으로 판명되어 실제 적용하는 데는 문제가 없는 것으로 평가되었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 수종별 지위지수 추정식은 몇가지의 입지환경 인자만으로 산불 피해지에 대한 수종별 산림생산력을 추정할 수 있는 것으로 판명되어 앞으로 활용가치가 높을 것으로 평가된다. 특히 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과는 수종별 적지판정과 이를 통한 산림의 경영 및 관리에 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 산불 피해지역의 입지평가 기준을 설정하기 위해서는 우선 산불피해임지를 자연회복, 인공복구 방법으로 현재의 임지를 개선하고자 할 때 이를 위한 입지 및 토양환경 인자 및 기준에 따라 임지의 생산력을 고려하여 적정한 수종을 선정하여 복구를 하여야 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 입지환경 인자에 의한 임지생산력 추정결과 물푸레나무와 굴참나무의 적지가 비교적 넓은 면적으로 분석되어 침엽수의 단순림이 많이 있는 동해안 지역의 임분을 참나무류와 같은 활엽수 수종으로 임분 구조를 개선하여 산불이 수관화로 확산되는 큰 피해를 막을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 산불의 피해를 저감하는 내화수림대의 역할을 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

『승정원일기(承政院日記)』의안(醫案)을 통해 살펴본 경종(景宗)의 기질(奇疾)에 대한 이해 (A Study of King Kyung-jong's strange diseases according to Medical records from 『The Daily Records of Royal Secretariat of Chosun Dynasty』)

  • In this paper, King Kyung-Jong's strange diseases which had been exacerbated by the Sinim-Sahwa(辛壬士禍) are researched and discussed. The subject will be described mostly based on health and medical records from "The Daily Records of Royal Secretariat of Chosun Dynasty(承政院日記)" and "The Annals of the Choson Dynasty(朝鮮王朝實錄)". Sinim-Sahwa had occurred for two years. It is thought that the beginning of it was 'a controversy on a proclamation of a crown prince, Yeon Ing Goon'. At the first year of Kyung-Jong's ruling, August 21, the No-Ron demanded a king's heir be decided as soon as possible, the king asked Yeon Ing Goon as his successor because of his 'strange diseases'. In October of the same year, the conflict between No-Ron and So-Ron parties reached its peak after a dispute about 'regency from behind the veil for the crown prince' at that time. Kyung-jong added that he had a mysterious and heavy disease and there was little hope to recover from it. Some opposing courtiers emphasized the king was in his good health and there weren't any actual diseases he suffered. But Kyung-Jong stubbornly persisted the diseases he had were so heavy that he couldn't get well readily. In detail, he announced his disease had so deeply rooted in internal organs that he could feel some kind of heat and fire arousal form his heart, then rage and resent soaring. Eventually, on 16th, the No-Ron party followed the king's demand, thus the king's health and illness condition itself was gradually getting off the subject. It seems that Kyung-jong's strange diseases was hwa-byung(火病). His symtoms are similar to the symtoms of hwa-byung. Environment he lived, was enough to cause hwa-byung. as a result, Sinim-Sahwa was the event what his hwa(火) was erupted.

지리산(智異山) 제석봉(帝釋峰) 산화적지(山火跡地)의 식생회복(植生回復) 및 관리방안(管理方案) (Vegetation Rehabilitation and Management Strategy of the fired Woodland in Chesuk-bong of Mt. Chiri)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation measures on the fired woodland of Chesuk-bong in Mt. Chiri through the vegetation structure and comparison of growth pattern between natural seedlings and transplanted Abies koreana seedlings. It was also discussed the rate of standing and fallen trees of dead conifers in the management strategy for vegetation regeneration and protection of sub-alpine area. In this fired woodland, shrub layers consisting of Weigela subsessilis, Sambucus williamsii var. coreana, Rhododendron schlippenbachii, R. mucronulatum, Tripterygium regelii, and etc. were gradually expanded, and tree species such as Betula ermani, Sorbus commixta, Acer pseudosieboldianum, and Malus baccata var. mandshurica were also regenerated. The growth of height and crown width of Abies koreana seedlings transplanted for vegetation regeneration were a little lower than those of natural seedlings. The seedlings of A. koreana transplanted in this fired woodland grew about 50.6% normally, but the others had multi-branched or growth stopped by death of terminal shoot. Because the number of dead conifers by fire tend to be gradually increased as time passed, it can occurs to the soil erosion and landslide by weakness of the cohesion and resistance of soil. Therefore, it is consider that rehabilitation measures projects of the fired woodland in subalpine area may be more prevention a natural disaster like soil erosion, flood and landslide.

종교화에 나타난 천사의 복식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Angels' Costumes in Religious Paintings)

  • This is a study on angels' costumes in religious paintings, especially as this relates to the questions of concepts and theological symbolism. Angels, as spiritual creatures in Christian thought, play the role of praising God's glory, as messengers of God, the role of guarding Israel and the Church, and protecting or punishing human beings. Sometimes the angels appear in incarnate form. They display no sexual differences and are not able to procreate. The angels' funtional classification being thus; nevertheless, they are pictured in various costumes and appearances according to characteristics of the paintings. The angel Michael appears as a man of dignity when pictured as a guard; the angel Gabriel in the annunciation is often portrayed as a woman of mystical beauty. Under the Renaissance, the mighty cherubim and seraphim at Yahweh's throne are degraded as plump child-angels, or winged child-heads looking alike Eros or Cupid. They have become playful and all too obviously non-heavenly chrubs, accepted features of the Temple decorations. However, cherubim are often depicted as naked or wrapped around with a piece of cloth and accompanied with wind, which symbolizes the Glory of God. The angels, costumes without seam are hung over or wrapped around the body, and when sewn they are simple and ample enough that they fall in a great many folds. However, by the 14C. angels are mostly dressed in costumes common to all Europe, and after that angels gradually appear in folk costumes; for example Italian, Flemish, etc. Dalmatic, the typical costume of Byzantine often shows up as angels' dresses even after the period. Originally the dalmatic was the Roman tunic to which Eastern influences added. The Roman clavus on the tunic had gradually lost distinction until, by the Imperial epoch, it was worn by the lowest servants. It was proudly therefore, as 'The servants of God', that the early Christians are shown wearing the clavus on their wide, ungirdled, sleeved dalmatics. In addition to their costume, angels have some other distinct charateristics. First, angels have a halo around their head; this symbolizes their holiness. Second, angels wear a narrow diadem or a queen's crown that seems to denote their glorious status close to God's throne. Third, the cloth band across the breast resembles a priest's stole, which suggests the sacred role of a priest and symbolizes the grace santified. Fourth, lilies in the annunciations are symbols of Mary's virginity. chastity, innocence and heavenly bliss. Angels hold palms or olives in their hands. The former denote prosperity. beauty and the Christians' reward after death; the latter represent peace and amity. the imperial crown made of olives means victory. Fifth, angels in paintings always have a pair of wings, which can be traced to scripture where cherubim and seraphim are described as having pairs of wings. Angels' wings often have colors of the rainbow, and the rainbow is compared to God's glory. Sixth, generally artists paint angels' costumes as white, blue, green, gold and purple. Other colors such as red rarely appear. According, to scriptures it is believed that angels should be depicted 'as white as snow'. According to the biblical expressions of angels as lightning, sun or a pillar of fire, angels should be described as creatures of light. Nevertheless being a form of art, religious paintings may differ in their presentation according to an artist's inspiration and intention. Since religious paintings illustrated above were almost all done before the Reformation, symbols of colors used in the Catholic Church will also be mentioned. The white color symbolizes chastity, purity, brightness, delight and divinity. Green represents new birth, eternal life, spiritual revival and the expectance of the grace of God. Blue, the color of sapphires, denotes chastity and truth. Red, the color of rubies, represents divinity, love and religious passion. Violet is the color of dignity, indicating the sovereign, royal or imperial power and the great Sacrifice of Christ. As mentionad above, angels' costumes were expressed in accordance with contemporary patterns or as indicated in the Bible, and accesories and colors correspond with Christian symbols. Therefore these facts should be taken into consideration when it comes to the study of costume history.

보석용 무색 큐빅 저코니아의 최적 육성 조건 (Optimum Conditions for Growing Gem-quality Colorless Cubic Zirconia)

  • 보석용으로 적합한 무색 투명한 큐빅 저코니아를 스컬용융법으로 합성하였다. 사용한 합성 고온로는 고주파 전기로이고, 수냉식 도가니를 제작하여 실험하였다. 원료물질은 $ZrO_2$를 주원료 물질로 하였으며 25 wt.%의 $Y_2O_3$를 안정제로, 0.03~0.05 wt.%의 $Nd_2O_3$를 소색제로 첨가하였다. 육성된 단결정의 크기는 약 20$\times$63 mm이며, 화학성분은 $Zr_{0.73}$ $Y_{0.27}$ $O_{1.87}$ 이었다. 등방성을 띠며 굴절율이 2.15~2.18이고 비중은 5.85, 모스 경도는 8~8.5, 반사도는 13.47%이다. 큐빅 저코니아 결정은 등축정계의 면심격자(Z=4)를 하고 있으며 공간군 Fm3 m에 속한다. 단위포 상수는 a=5.157 $\AA$이며, $CaF_2$구조를 하고 있다. 합성공정의 최적 조건은 고주파 출력이 50 kW, 2.94 MHz이고 도가니의 직경과 높이는 각각 105 mm, 135mm일 때, 또 도가니의 하강 속도가 16 mm/hr일 때 최대인 42% 회수율을 나타내었다. 큐빅 저코니아의 굴절율(2.15~2.18)은 다이아몬드보다 작기 때문에 크라운과 퍼빌리언의 각도를 다이아몬드의 경우($40.5^{\circ}$)보다 작게 가공 처리하여야만 최대의 광채 및 화이어를 얻을 수 있다.

복식과 무기의 갖춤 상황에서의 무예연구 (A Study on martial arts when Equipped with Weapons, Clothes and Other Accessories)

  • 현재 한반도에 터를 잡고 사는 우리는 유구한 역사를 지니고 있으며 과거 선조들은 중앙아시아와 중국의 북방지역까지 넓게 퍼져 살았다. 평상시는 여러 나라들과 서로 교역을 하였지만 사이가 좋지 않을 때에는 전쟁을 치르면서 많은 나라들이 등장하고 사라져갔다. 이러한 역사 속에 다양한 문화가 이루어져 왔고 그 중에 전통무예도 한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 우리의 무예는 조선 후기 화약무기의 발달과 일본의 식민지, 6.25전쟁을 겪으면서 그 명맥이 거의 단절 되었다. 다행이 사서와, 무예서의 기록과 유물이 뒷받침 되어 우리가 전통무예를 연구 하는데 도움이 되고 있다. 조선후기 편찬된 무예서인 무예도보통지는 조선이 임진왜란과 병자호란을 겪으면서 기예를 소홀히 했던 것을 반성하고 조선과 중국, 일본의 기예를 수용하여 엮은 책으로 상세한 설명과 그림, 복식과 무기제원까지 기록 되어 있어 무예연구에 있어 가치가 있다. 그러나 무예도보통지를 근간으로 하는 무예단체나 개인의 기예가 다르며 어느 단체들은 가짓수를 가지고 논쟁 하고 있어 문제이다. 본 연구는 급변하는 유비쿼터스 환경에 발맞추어 스마트의 발달과 시장의 확대로 수많은 교육용 앱이 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 학교 수업 내용에 대한 앱은 전무한 현실에서 교수자가 직접 앱을 개발하여 학교 수업에서 활용하는 방안을 연구하고자 한다. 스마트폰의 최대 장점인 시간과 장소에 구애 받지 않고, 언제 어디서나 학교 수업 내용을 학습하고 교수자와 학습자 간의 커뮤니케이션이 원활히 이루어지는 학습 환경을 만드는데 있다.
