This study defined three elements of game ability and effectiveness that functional games must have in a cross-media environment where one content is distributed through various media through previous research. We sought to reveal the impact of each element on the relevant content and cross-media content, as well as the impact when cross-media content is used in parallel. To this end, a case of digital content using a picture book and a smartphone app targeting traditional craft learning was produced by itself, and the results of its use were collected as a questionnaire. As a result, the effectiveness of the three effectiveness factors of functional games was confirmed, and the relationship between the cross-media environment and content was revealed, revealing the positive possibility of using cross-media.
As the media environment surrounding us has changed rapidly, the influences of traditional media decrease whereas promotions using new media have been developing remarkably, Under this circumstance, cross-media advertising, which strategically integrates advertisements on multiple media, is getting attention as an effective marketing communication approach. This study investigated consumer responses to cross-media advertising using both online and offline media, focusing on the effects of product involvement, attributes of media connection, and gender. The experiment was conducted towards adult consumers aged 20 to 39. Results confirmed that the interaction effect between product involvement and attributes of media connection on brand attitude and behavioral intention was significant by a moderating role of gender. Based on the results from this study, both theoretical and practical implications were discussed, as were directions for future research.
In this paper, we propose a QoS (Quality of Service)-aware and cooperative resource reservation scheme using cross-layer link adaptation for wireless high definition video transmission through UWB (Ultra Wide Band) network with D-MAC (Distributed Medium Access Control). A wireless high definition video transmission system usually requires stable high throughput even without line-of-sight, e.g., a destination device in another room separated by a wall. Since the WiMedia D-MAC supporting DRP (Distributed Reservation Protocol) scheme causes lots of DRP resource reservation conflicts due to failure of beacon detection in wireless channel environment, overall performances of the WiMedia D-MAC can be deteriorated. And the current WiMedia MAC standard has not considered QoS provisioning even though QoS parameters such as a range of service rates are provided to each traffic stream. Therefore, we propose Relay DRP protocol with QoS-based relay node selection criterion, which makes a relay path to avoid DRP resource reservation conflicts and guarantee QoS more stably through cross-layer link adaptation of cooperative relay transmission scheme and is compliant with the current WiMedia D-MAC protocol. Simulation results demonstrate performance improvements of the proposed method for throughput and QoS provisioning.
Media-related regulations can be classified into two categories; regulations of individual media contents and regulations regarding the entry to and withdrawal from a certain field. In this dissertation, ownership regulations are regarded as legal and political measures so as to prevent the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion, and to secure its diversity. Every country has its own regulation model according to its particular media environment. Korea too is obliged to actively respond to its environmental changes, at the same time vitalizing the media industry and protecting consumers' rights and interests. Strong political intentions to protect the public interest is necessary when it comes to media regulation policies, especially in the circumstances that public interest is an industrial priority. As the convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications is leading to a major shift in the media industry, the regulation of cross-media ownership is an issue involving potential conflicts among media-owners, non-governmental organizations and the authorities concerned, depending on their various viewpoints regarding the media industry. In this paper, an attempt was made to search necessity of redefining 'public interest', which is the logic behind the restriction of cross-media ownership, and to reconceptualize issues on the centralization and diversity of media. First, an examination of the actual conditions of newspaper companies was carried out in order to reinvestigate domestic cross-media ownership issues, which is represented by the cross-ownership issue of newspapers and broadcasting stations. Next, the dilemma of policies stimulated by the fusion of media was discussed based on cross-media ownership restrictions, and the need for efficient conflict control was suggested. Finally, proposals on the independency and public confidence of media-related policy-making authorities, the rationalization of regulation models, an itemized discussion on cross-media ownership regulation issues, the elaboration of measures for a balanced development among media were made. It could be found that a number of foreign countries were still facing challenges to prevent monopoly and oligopoly of the public opinion and the industry. A solution to settle disagreements about the dilemma of the media industry, including the cross-media ownership regulation issues, must be arranged on the grounds of 'mutual respect of public interest and industrial interest', In Korea, an ease on the ownership regulations adapting to the change in the media industry may be considered, however the softening of the cross-media ownership regulations must be approached with the utmost care. Paradoxically Relieving cross-media ownership regulations may be considered the foundation of a richer field of journalism, where there is no need for concern over the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion.

This paper has the purpose to reform city's environment. Because, Metropolis and megalopolis are the principal cause of environmental disruption. To reform the city is needed to consider digital technology in our age. In the face of economic and cultural globalization, many have argued that we live an increasingly placeless world. However, as a growing number of cities participate and compete in key marketplaces of advanced capitalism, the spectacle of the city is more than ever a significant medium of communication in its own right. In doing so, this work is focused specifically on the dimension of city's media environment. To that end, the paper examined U-City and U-Eco city. In this study, we will introduce the study on model of U-Eco City as one way for the eco-freindly future city.
Risk-based screening levels (RBSLs) of some pollutants for residential adults were derived with risk assessment tools developed by United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and Korea Ministry of Environment (KMOE) and compared each other. To make the comparison simple, ingestion of soil, dermal contact with soil, outdoor inhalation of vapors, indoor inhalation of vapors, and inhalation of soil particulates were chosen as exposure pathways. The results showed that the derived RBSLs varied for every exposure pathway. For direct exposure pathways (i.e., ingestion of soil and dermal contact with soil), the derived RBSLs varied mainly due to the different default values for exposure factors and toxicity data. When identical default values for the parameters were used, the same RBSLs could be derived regardless of the assessment tools used. For inhalation of vapors and inhalation of soil particulates, however, different analysis methods for cross-media transfer rates were used and different assumptions were established for each tool, identical RBSLs could not be obtained even if the same default values for exposure factors were used. Especially for inhalation of soil particulates pathway, screening level derived using KMOE approach (most conservative) was approximately 5000~10000 times lower than the screening level derived using ASTM approach (least conservative). Our results suggest that, when deriving RBSL using a specific tool, it is a prerequisite to technically review the analysis methods for cross-media transfer rates as well as to understand how the assessment tool derives the default values for exposure factors.
The main objective was to develop and assess a dynamic fate and transport model for lead in air, soil, sediment, water and vegetation. Daejeon was chosen as the study area for its relatively high contamination and emission levels. The model was assessed by comparing model predictions with measured concentrations in multi-media and atmospheric deposition flux. Given a lead concentration in air, the model could predict the concentrations in water and soil within a factor of five. Sensitivity analysis indicated that effective compartment volumes, rain intensity, scavenging ratio, run off, and foliar uptake were critical to accurate model prediction. Important implications include that restriction of air emission may be necessary in the future to protect the soil quality objective as the contamination level in soil is predicted to steadily increase at the present emission level and that direct discharge of lead into the water body was insignificant as compared to atmospheric deposition fluxes. The results strongly indicated that atmospheric emission governs the quality of the whole environment. Use of the model developed in this study would provide quantitative and integrated understanding of the cross-media characteristics and assessment of the relationships of the contamination levels among the multi-media environment.
The significance of an integrated environmental management system implementation can be summarized into three sections. The first is that the paradigm of a permit system will be changed from the existing media-specific permits to cross-media permits. In the near future, the cross-media license will be granted based on the diagnostic results of the plant. The second is that it will be established through a social concensus, i.e., consultations with stakeholders and direct participation in the system design process of stakeholders. The third is that it will have flexibility in its operating system. In the near future, it will be possible to management an environment through its industrial workplace itself and determine if emission standards are being complied with or not through statistical methods. In addition there is also an urgent need for complementary parts in order to enhance the driving force of the integrated environmental management system which is based on transparency, reliability and flexibility. In other words, it is necessary to continuously promote in order to diffuse consensus and increase an understanding of implementation through an integrated environmental management system. It is also necessary to establish a new organization and educate authorized representatives so that they have the tools to smoothly perform the system.

The end of the 20th century, along with the popularity of new media technology and the rise of new media art, dance as a visual art, and body language art, has the features of more and more rich and changeful. In today's Internet booming new media environment, many different fields, such as film and theater, computer technology, digital art, etc.) with its commonness and characteristics of all kinds of interaction between the creation, produced a new interdisciplinary research with theoretical model. When cross-border interactions between various areas become a hot topic at the same time, the traditional form of dance performances are also seeking new breakthrough. Canada's famous social psychologist McLuhan believes that modern is retrieving lost over a long period of time "overall" feel, return to a feeling of equilibrium. The audience how to have the characteristics of focus on details of visual art back to the "overall" feel worthy of study. At the same time, the new media in today's digital dance teaching in colleges and universities dancing education remains to be perfect and popular, if continue to use the precept of the traditional teaching way blindly, so it is difficult to get from the development of the current domestic dance overall demand. In this paper, the main body is divided into two parts, the first chapter is the study of image device dance performance art, the second chapter is the research of digital dance teaching application system, thus further perspective of media technology to explore dance art crossover practice under the new media environment and mode of transmission.
As the pluralistic value in which various cultures and trends exist develops the world at large, development of interior design is required to examine consumers by group. This requirement purports to set up a strategic model of operating interior design organizations under cross-cultural (past and present) enviroment, not to express new researches of interior design following the direction of the developed media service. Based on the educational and complex cultural approach to design matters - the key issue in solving the cross-cultural design matters, this paper has suggested the structure of semi-centralized design process and the system for finding out consumers' trends under the new media-based cultural design environment. This study presents some expected effects. First, it will be able to enhance the consumer-oriented design mind by providing the information on the interior design system and design trend. Through analyzing the lifestyle in the 21st century and providing the relevant information, it will lead irrlprovement in living environment. And further, by using the program of searching consumers' new preference, the system of grasping consumers' propensity and making decisions will be materialized. Secondly, based on the background database of forecasted consumers' trends, marketing strategies can be established. Thirdly, through the better technology of designing living environment, efficiency will be increased and the economic foundations through use of new database will be constructed. Fourth, systematic interior design can be developed. Strategic correspondence to consumers' desires and reinforcement of competitiveness will become possible with development of database. By encouraging consumers' participation under digital environment, their trends can be forecasted, and by efficiently using information and new technology, resources can be saved and further, additional costs for promotion and sales will be reduced.
