아음속 횡단 유동장으로 펄스 분사된 액체 제트의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of a Pulsed Liquid Jet into a Cross-flow of Air)

  • The present study of these experiments are close examination of spray characteristics that are continuous liquid jet and modulated pressure pulse liquid jet. The experiments were conducted using water, over a range of cross-flow velocities from 42${\sim}$136 m/s, with injection frequencies of 35.7${\sim}$166.2 Hz. Between continuous cross-flow jet and pressure pulsed cross-flow jet for characteristics of penetration, breakup point, spray angle and macro spray shape are investigated experimentally. In cross-flow field, main parameter of liquid jet for breakup was cross-flow stream rather than pressure pulse frequency. As oscillation of the periodic pressure that could make liquid jet moved up and down, the mixing efficiency was increased. Also, a bulk of liquid jet puff was detected at upper field of liquid surface. So, this phenomenon has a good advantage of mixing spray from concentration of center area to outer area. Because of pressure pulsation frequency, an inclination of SMD for the structured layer was evanescent. Cross-sectional characteristics of SMD at downstream area were non-structured distributions. Then cross-sectional characteristics of SMD size were about same tendency over a range that is effect of spray mixing. The tendency of volume flux value for various frequency of pressure pulse was same distribution. And volume flux was decreased when the frequency of pressure pulse increase.

Loss Minimization Control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors Considering Self-Saturation and Cross-Saturation

  • In this paper, a loss minimization control method for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors is presented with considering self-saturation and cross saturation. According to variation of the d-axis and q-axis inductances by different values of the d-axis and q-axis components of currents, it is necessary to consider self-saturation and cross saturation in the loss minimization control method. In addition, the iron loss resistance variation due to frequency variation is considered in the condition of loss minimization. Furthermore, the loss minimization control method is compared with maximum torque per ampere (MTPA), unity power factor (UPF) and $i_d=0$ control methods. Experimental results verify the performance and proper dynamic response of the loss minimization control method with considering self-saturation and cross saturation.

Cross-Correlated Quadrature Amplitude Modulation for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access in 5G Systems

  • Recently, correlated superposition coding (CSC) has been proposed to implement non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) without successive interference cancellation (SIC), without loss of spectral efficiency, in contrast to conventional independent superposition coding (ISC). However, correlation between signals has reduced the average total allocated power, which results in degraded performance. Thus, in order to avoid the reduction of the average total allocated power owing to correlation between signals, this paper proposes a cross-correlated quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) NOMA scheme under Rayleigh fading channel surroundings. First, we design the cross-correlated QAM NOMA scheme. Then, simulations demonstrate that for the weaker channel gain's user, the symbol error rate (SER) performance of the proposed cross-correlated QAM NOMA improves largely, whereas for the stronger channel gain's user, the SER performance of the proposed cross-correlated QAM CSM NOMA degrades little, compared to that of the conventional QAM NOMA.

  • [ $ulcorner$ ]Cost-Effectiveness Analysis$\lrcorner$ has been wifely used to evaluate economic efficiency of R&D projects, but most of cost-effectiveness evaluation systems have some problems such as systematic method for setting and evaluating cost factors, estimation of single effect on each R&D project, and estimation of cross effects among R&D projects. To solve these problems, we have designed a new evaluation indicator called a $ulcorner$Cost-Cross Effect Integration Indicator$lrcorner$ including cross effects developed in this research. The major research findings are summarized as follows : (1) $ulcorner$Coist Estimation Model$lrcorner$, which estimates the cost factors divided into two classes of assembly product and system product and then integrates the total cost values, has been designed. (2) A new method for estimating parameters of cross effects among R&D projects has been developed. (3) $ulcorner$Cross Effects Estimation Model$lrcorner$ to estimate multi-effects and cross effects by completion time among several projects has been designed. (4) $ulcorner$Integration Estimation Indicator$lrcorner$ for setting priority on a project group has been extracted by combination of total cost value and total effect value.

응력-침투 연계 해석에 의한 필 댐의 최적 설계

  • This thesis has been researched on optimized design method for the total cross section of embankment considering the fact that the size of embankment cross section is directly related with economic efficiency when dam designing. In general, embankment cross section of fill dam is either determined by cohesion and angle of internal friction, a strength parameter of embankment materials or by permeability of embankment. Therefore the size of embankment cross section depending on strength parameter of embankment materials was determined by using MIDAS-GTS program through stress-seepage coupled analysis at the time of fill dam design. As a result, determination of embankment cross section was more affected by the size of central core and permeability rather than by slope stability by shear strength and it was revealed that in case of embankment height being over 20m, stability against infiltration and slope action could be secured only when embankment slope is at least over 1:2.5. In addition, it was also revealed that in case of making the size of central core exceeding specification standard, total cross section of embankment could be reduced considerably and at the time of embankment design, adequate size and appropriateness of embankment cross section could be determined with referring the table suggested by this study.

Optimization of RC polygonal cross-sections under compression and biaxial bending with QPSO

  • In this paper, a numerical procedure is proposed for achieving the minimum cost design of reinforced concrete polygonal column cross-sections under compression and biaxial bending. A methodology is developed to integrate the metaheuristic algorithm Quantum Particle Swarm Optimization (QPSO) with an algorithm for the evaluation of the strength of reinforced concrete cross-sections under combined axial load and biaxial bending, according to the design criteria of Brazilian Standard ABNT NBR 6118:2014. The objective function formulation takes into account the costs of concrete, reinforcement, and formwork. The cross-section dimensions, the number and diameter of rebar and the concrete strength are taken as discrete design variables. This methodology is applied to polygonal cross-sections, such as rectangular sections, rectangular hollow sections, and L-shaped cross-sections. To evaluate the efficiency of the methodology, the optimal solutions obtained were compared to results reported by other authors using conventional methods or alternative optimization techniques. An additional study investigates the effect on final costs for an alternative parametrization of rebar positioning on the cross-section. The proposed optimization method proved to be efficient in the search for optimal solutions, presenting consistent results that confirm the importance of using optimization techniques in the design of reinforced concrete structures.

통신 함체 냉각용 플라스틱 재질의 열교환 소자 (Heat Exchange Element Made of Plastic for Cooling of Telecommunication Cabinet)

  • 함체 내의 발열은 이동통신기기의 회선 처리 능력이 증가함에 따라 계속 증가하고 있다. 이 열을 적절히 외부로 방출해 주지 않으면 중계기 내의 온도가 상승하여 전자장치 오작동의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 통신 함체 냉각 모듈용 알루미늄 및 플라스틱 소자의 성능에 대해 실험을 수행하고 이론 해석 결과와도 비교하였다. 알루미늄 소자는 핏치 4.5 mm의 대향류 평행 채널로 구성되고 플라스틱 소자는 핏치 2.0 mm의 직교류 및 직교 대향류 삼각 채널로 구성되었다. 한편 직교류 소자의 크기는 알루미늄 소자와 동일하고 직교대향류 소자는 알루미늄 소자보다 33% 크다. 실험 결과 플라스틱 직교 대향류 소자의 전열량이 가장 크고 알루미늄 대향류 소자의 전열량이 가장 작게 나타났다. 또한 알루미늄 대향류 소자를 base 소자로 할 때 플라스틱 직교대향류 소자의 온도교환효율은 base 소자보다 평균 56% 크고 플라스틱 직교류 소자의 값보다는 평균 29% 크게 나타났다. 한편 플라스틱 직교대향류 소자와 base 소자의 압력손실은 유사하게 나타났다. 열교환 효율은 플라스틱 직교대향류 소자에서 가장 크고 플라스틱 직교류 소자에서 가장 작게 나타났다. 또한 이론 모델은 소자의 성능을 다소 과대 또는 과소 예측하였다.

가중 퍼텐셜에 기초한 CT용 CdZnTe 소자 설계 (CdZnTe Detector for Computed Tomography based on Weighting Potential)

  • CdZnTe(CZT)는 상온에서 동작 가능한 II-VI족 기반의 화합반도체로 CT (Computed Tomography)나 맘모그라피 (mammography)용 검출기로 적용하면, 환자의 피폭선량을 저감할 수 있는 획기적인 소자재료이다. 픽셀(pixel)과 픽셀 피치(pixel pitch)에 따라 X선 변환효율과 신호 교차 (cross-talk)에 영향을 주어 영상 품질이 결정된다. 가중 퍼텐셜 (weighting potential)은 전극의 위치와 형태에 의해서 결정지어지는 가상 퍼텐셜로 Poisson's 방정식의 해를 통해서 구할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 기반의 모의실험을 통해 가상 퍼텐셜을 계산하고, 전하유도효율(CIE; charge induction efficiency)과 신호교차를 고려하여 CT용 센서에 적합한 픽셀을 결정하고자 하였다. 모의실험에서 1 mm의 픽셀피치와 2 mm 두께의 CZT를 가정하여, 다양한 픽셀과 픽셀피치를 설정 후 가중 퍼텐셜을 계산하였다. 픽셀의 크기가 $750{\mu}m$이고 픽셀간의 간격이 $250{\mu}m$일 때 최대 전하유도 효율과 최소 신호교차를 나타내었다.

부트스트랩 DEA모형과 게임교차효율성모형을 이용한 항만클러스터링 측정에 대한 실증적 비교연구 (An Empirical Comparative Study of the Seaport Clustering Measurement Using Bootstrapped DEA and Game Cross-efficiency Models)

  • 본 논문에서는 부트스르랩DEA모형과 게임교차효율성모형으로, 아시아 38개 컨테이너항만들의 11년간 자료를 4개의 투입요소(선석길이, 수심, 총면적, 크레인 수), 1개의 산출요소(컨테이너화물처리량)를 이용하여 국내항만(부산, 인천, 광양항)들이 어떤 항만들과 클러스터링 해야만 하는지에 대한 측정방법을 실증적으로 보여 주고 분석하였다. 실증분석의 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2003년부터 2013년까지 전체자료를 이용한 편의수정 된 부트스트랩 평균효율성 측정의 주요한 결과를 살펴보면, (1) LT모형의 효율성 수치가 SW모형의 효율성 수치보다 그 모형의 엄격성 때문에 더 낮게 나타나는 경향을 보이고 있다. (2) 전체 자료에 대한 SW모형의 부트스트랩 평균효율성 수치는 0.7660, LT모형은 0.7341로 나타났다. 둘째, 게임교차효율성 모형에 의한 국내항만들의 클러스터링을 살펴보면 국내항만들은 홍콩항, 상해항, 광저우항, 닝보항, 포트클랑항, 싱가포르항, 카오슝항, 키롱항, 방콕항과 클러스터링하는 것이 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부트스트랩 DEA모형에 의한 국내항만들의 클러스터링 후 효율성 변화분석의 주요한 결과는 부트스트랩 SW모형에서는 모두 상승[부산:6.46%, 인천:3.92%, 광양:2.78%]하였으나, 부트스트랩 LT모형에서는 인천항(2.11%)만 상승하고, 부산항(-1.86%), 광양항(-0.124%)은 하락하였다. 넷째, 게임교차효율성 모형에 의한 클러스터링 후의 국내항만의 효율성 변화를 살펴보면 광양항(0.131%)만 상승하고 부산항(-1.08%)과 인천항(-0.009%)은 하락하였다. 다섯째, 효율성 순위를 검정한 윌콕슨부호순위검정에서는 세 가지 모형[부트스트랩 DEA모형(SW)과 게임교차효율성 모형(72.83%), 부트스트랩 DEA모형(LT)과 게임교차효율성모형(68.91%)]사이에 순위에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문이 갖는 정책적인 함의는 첫째, 항만정책입안자들이 본 연구에서 사용한 두 가지 모형을 항만의 클러스터링 정책에 도입하여 해당항만이 발전할 수 있는 전략을 수립하고 이행해 나가야만 한다는 점이다. 둘째, 본 논문의 실증분석결과 국내항만들의 참조항만, 클러스터링항만들로서 나타난 아시아항만들에 대하여, 그들 항만들의 항만개발, 운영에 대한 내용을 정밀하게 분석하고 도입하여 실시하는 것이 필요하다.
