지오그리드 보강토 교대의 장기거동에 관한 수치해석 연구 (Long-Term Behavior of Geogrid Reinforced Soil Abutment - A Numerical Investigation)

  • 본 논문에서는 보강토 구조물의 장기거동에 관한 수치해석 내용을 다루었다. 본 연구는 사용연한동안 지속하중을 받는 보강토 구조물의 장기 변형 관련 메카니즘을 고찰하는데 주 목적을 두었다. 연구를 위해 먼저 Singh-Mitchell 크리프 모델과 멱함수(Power law) 크리프 모델을 이용하여 각각 뒤채움흙과 보강재의 크리프 변형을 모델링하는 방안을 구축하였으며 이를 토대로 뒤채움흙과 토목섬유 보강재의 크리프 특성에 대한 매개변수 연구를 수행하였다. 해석결과 외부하중을 받는 보강토 구조물이 세립분이 많이 포함되어 있는 흙으로 뒤채움이 될 경우 뒤채움흙과 토목섬유 보강재로부터 발생하는 크리프 효과로 인해 상당한 크기의 장기 변형이 발생할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문에서는 외부하중을 받는 보강토 구조물에 있어서 크리프 효과가 구조물의 사용성에 미치는 영향을 집중적으로 고찰하였다.

일방향 응고 CM247LC 초내열합금의 크리프 조건에서 표면 산화와 연계된 γ'-석출 고갈 지역 및 γ' 조대화 (γ'-Precipitation Free Zone and γ' Rafting Related to Surface Oxidation in Creep Condition of Directionally Solidified CM247LC Superalloy)

  • This study used optical and scanning electron microscopy to analyze the surface oxidation phenomenon that accompanies a γ'-precipitate free zone in a directional solidified CM247LC high temperature creep specimen. Surface oxidation occurs on nickel-based superalloy gas turbine blades due to high temperature during use. Among the superalloy components, Al and Cr are greatly affected by diffusion and movement, and Al is a major component of the surface oxidation products. This out-diffusion of Al was accompanied by γ' (Ni3Al) deficiency in the matrix, and formed a γ'-precipitate free zone at the boundary of the surface oxide layer. Among the components of CM247LC, Cr and Al related to surface oxidation consist of 8 % and 5.6 %, respectively. When Al, the main component of the γ' precipitation phase, diffused out to the surface, a high content of Cr was observed in these PFZs. This is because the PFZ is made of a high Cr γ phase. Surface oxidation of DS CM247LC was observed in high temperature creep specimens, and γ'-rafting occurred due to stress applied to the creep specimens. However, the stress states applied to the grip and gauge length of the creep specimen were different, and accordingly, different γ'-rafting patterns were observed. Such surface oxidation and PFZ and γ'-rafting are shown to affect CM247LC creep lifetime. Mapping the microstructure and composition of major components such as Al and Cr and their role in surface oxidation, revealed in this study, will be utilized in the development of alloys to improve creep life.

취성/연성 파괴에 대한 수명예측 모델 및 신뢰성 설계 (Development of Reliability Design Technique and Life Prediction Model for Electronic Components)

  • In this study, two types of fatigue tests were conducted. First, cyclic bending tests were performed using the micro-bending tester. A four-point bending test method was adopted, because it induces uniform stress fields within a loading span. Second, thermal fatigue tests were conducted using a pseudo power cycling machine which was newly developed for a realistic testing condition. The pseudo-power cycling method makes up for the weak points in a power cycling and a chamber cycling method. Two compositions of solder are tested in all test condition, one is lead-free solder (95.5Sn4.0Ag0.5Cu) and the other is eutectic lead-contained solder (63Sn37Pb). In the cyclic bending test, the solder that exhibits a good reliability can be reversed depending on the load conditions. The lead-contained solders have a longer fatigue life in the region where the applied load is high. On the contrary, the lead-free solder sustained more cyclic loads in the small load region. A similar trend was detected at the thermal cycling test. A three-dimensional finite element analysis model was constructed. A finite element analysis using ABAQUS was performed to extract the applied stress and strain in the solder joints. A constitutive model which includes both creep and plasticity was employed. Thermal fatigue was occurred due to the creep. And plastic deformation is main damage for bending failure. From the inelastic energy dissipation per cycle versus fatigue life curve, it can be found that the bending fatigue life is longer than the thermal fatigue life.

전기저항법에 의한 크리프 손상의 비파괴적 검출 (Non-destructive Detection of Creep Damage Based on Electric Resistance Technique)

  • As Cr-Mo-V steels have excellent mechanical and creep properties at elevated temperatures, they are extensively used in power plants. However, the steam turbine components are supposed to have suffered material degradation during long-term service at elevated tenperatures. Many efforts have been made to assess the safety and residual life of these components by means of non-destructive methods such as plastic replication, hardness and electric resistance techniques. Recently, a parameter correlating hardness changes during long-term heating to those during creep was introduced and it was named 'G parameter'. The electric resistivity as well as hardness are affected by damage accumulation, but there have been no efforts to correlate G parameter to resistivity changes. In this study, relationship between G parameter and changes in electric resistivity was investigated using artificially aged Cr-Mo-V steel. It is well understood that G parameter can be applied to electric: resistance techmique.

엔진배기밸브의 내열강 이종재 마찰용접의 최적화와 고온 크리프의 실시간 예측 및 AE에 의한 실시간 평가 (Dissimilar Friction Welding of Engine Exhaustive Valve and High Temperature Creep Prediction and Their Real-Time Evaluation by AE)

  • The engine exhaustive valve became essential as the important element. The dissimmilar welding method of exhaustive valve head to stem was asked for manufacturing the engine exhaustive valve, for which the electric resistance are welding has been conventionally used, resulting in poor quality of the welded joint. In this paper, not only the development of optimizing of friction welding with more reliability and more applicability but also the development of in-process real-time weld qudlity(such as strength and toughness) evaluation technique by acoustic emission for friction welding of the engine exhaustive valve(SUH3-SUH35 dissimilar steels) were perfomed. The high temperature(500, 500, 600$^{circ}$C) creep properties prediction of the friction welded joint of SUH3-SUH35 was investigated relating to the initial strain meethod(ISM) as a new approach, resulting in obtaining an experimental equation of creep life prediction.

High-Temperature Rupture of 5083-Al Alloy under Multiaxial Stress States

  • High-temperature rupture behavior of 5083-Al alloy was tested for failure at 548K under multiaxial stress conditions: uniaxial tension using smooth bar specimens, biaxial shearing using double shear bar specimens, and triaxial tension using notched bar specimens. Rupture times were compared for uniaxial, biaxial, and triaxial stress conditions with respect to the maximum principal stress, the von Mises effective stress, and the principal facet stress. The results indicate that the von Mises effective and principal facet stresses give good correlation for the material investigated, and these parameters can predict creep life data under the multiaxial stress states with the rupture data obtained from specimens under the uniaxial stress. The results suggest that the creep rupture of this alloy under the testing condition is controlled by cavitation coupled with highly localized deformation process, such as grain boundary sliding. It is also conceivable that strain softening controls the highly localized deformation modes which result in cavitation damage in controlling rupture time of this alloy.

$C^{\ast}$-적분에 기초한 고온배관 수명평가 ([ $C^{\ast}$ ]-integral Based Life Assessment of High Temperature Pipes)

  • 최근 들어 가혹한 온도 및 압력조건에서 운전이 요구되는 고온배관들의 잔여수명예측은 상당히 중요한 관심사로 부각되고 있다. 이에 고온손상을 정량적으로 평가하여 설비를 안전하게 사용하기 위한 유지기술 및 수명평가 기술을 확보하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 한편 이러한 고온배관내 대부분의 균열은 반타원 표면균열의 형태로 형상화되어 파괴역학의 실제응용에서 발견할 수 있는 가장 복잡한 형상과 하중특성을 갖게 된다. 이를 배경으로 본 연구에서는 먼저 축방향 및 원주방향 반타원 표면균열이 존재하는 직관의 완전 3차원 유한요소망 자동생성 프로그램을 작성하였다. 이렇게 생성된 유한요소 입력자료를 이용하여 3차원 유한요소 해석을 수행하면 반타원 표면균열선단을 따른 고온 크리프 파괴 지배변수 $C^{\ast}$-적분값을 구할 수 있다. 또한 $C^{\ast}$-적분값에 준해 균열진전량을 계산하는 후처리 균열진전 모듈을 추가하여 사용자 편의 수명평가 프로그램을 개발하였다. 최종적으로 개발된 통합 수명 평가 프로그램을 이용하여 여러 가지 해석변수들의 반타원 표면균열을 갖는 고온 직관 수명에 대한 영향을 살펴보았다.
