고온화 표면균열의 수명예측에 관한 파괴역학적 연구 (A Fracture Mechanic Study on Life Prediction of Surface Cracks at Elevated Temperature)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 304스테인리스강을 사용한 평활재와 작은 인공피트재의 고온 피로시험(疲勞試驗)과 크리프 시험(試驗)을 $593^{\circ}C$의 대기중에서 실시하고, 표면의 분포균열을 실온에서 레프리카법으로 연속적으로 관찰하고, 표면균열의 발생, 성장, 합체 거동을 관측하여, 균열 밀도(密度) 길이의 분포등의 정량적인 통계적(統計的) 성질(性質)에 대하여 검토하는 동시에, 파괴역학적으로 시험편의 수명을 지배하는 주균열의 성장거동 및 수명예측을 실시한 것이다. 또 실온의 결과와 고온피로(疲勞) 및 크리프 경우의 미소 분포균열의 통계적(統計的) 결과를 비교 검토하였다.

2상 스테인리스강(STS 329J1)의 크리프 특성 (Creep Behaviours of Duplex Stainless Steel)

  • Micro duplex stainless steel is used to denote a fine scale two-phase micro structure consisting austenite and firrite. The development of this structure was done by proper thermo-mechanical processing. The objective of present investigation is to study creep characteristics of this alloy. Since we have little design data about the W behaviors of the alloy. An apparatus has been designed and built fir conducting creep tests under constant load conditions. A series of creep tests on them have been performed to get the basic design data and life prediction of micro duplex stainless steel products and we have gotten the 1311owing results. First the stress exponents decrease as the test temperatures increase. Secondly, the creep activation energy Gradually decreases as the stresses become higher. Thirdly, the constant of Larson-Miller Parameters on this alloy is estimated as about 5. Last, the fiactographs at the creep rupture show both the ductile and brittle fracture modes according to the creep conditions.

  • 화력발전소 보일러 고온배관인 주증기관, 헤드 및 증기드럼 등의 설비들은 장시간동안 고온고압의 가혹한 조건으로 운전됨에 따라 크리프손상에 의해 열화되고 있다. 이들 설비의 크리프손상측정에 적용되는 종래의 비파괴기법인 레프리카법, 전기저항법 및 경도법 등은 복잡한 측정절차 및 접근성, 검사결과의 신뢰도 및 측정정도 등 여러가지면에서 단점이 많다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 화력발전소 주요 고온배관에서 발생되는 경년열화인 크리프손상에 대한초음파 측정연구를 수행한 결과로서, 고온배관재료인 Cr-Mo강의 크리프 인공열화재를 대상으로 이들에 대한 크리프손상 상태별 초음과 음속(sound velocity) 및 감쇠(attenuation)의 초음파 신호특성을 평가하였다.

마찰용접된 니켈기 초내열합금 Alloy718의 고온 크리프 파단 특성 (High Temperature Creep Rupture Characteristics of Ni-Based Alloy718 Jointed by Friction Welding)

  • The short-term high temperature creep rupture behavior of Ni-based Alloy718 steels jointed by friction welding wasinvestigated at the elevated temperatures of 550 to $700^{\circ}C$ under constant stress conditions. The creep rupture characteristics such as creep stress, rupture time, steady state creep rate, and initial strain were evaluated. Creep stress has a quantitative correlation between creep rupture time and steady state creep rate. The stress exponents (n, m) of the experimental data at 550, 600, 650 and $700^{\circ}C$ were derived as 26.1, -22.4, 22.5, -18.5, 17.4, -14.3 and 6.9, -8.1, respectively. The stress exponents decreased with increasing creep temperature. The creep life prediction was derived by the Larson-Miller parameter (LMP) method and the result equation obtained is as follows: T(logtr+20)=-0.00148${\sigma}^2$-3.089${\sigma}$+23232. Finally, the results were compared with those of the base metal for Alloy718.

  • The invention of fusion wilding technology has brought on a revolutionary change in manufacturing industry which enables the construction of large scale high temperature plants in chemical, petrochemical and power generation industries. However, among the failure cases of high temperature components, premature failures of weldments have taken a large percentage that indicates the detrimental effect of welding on structural integrity. The accurate prediction of the high temperature behaviour of welded components is thus becoming increasingly important in order to realise an optimised design and maintenance of a plant life. In the present paper, recent research activities on high temperature behaviour of welded structures are briefly summarised. A local deformation measuring technique is proposed to determine the creep properties of weldment constituents. A damage mechanics approach is introduced to study the life reduction and ductility reduction due to the presence of a weld in high temperature structures. Finally, the high temperature creep crack growth in weldments is discussed.

베이지안 추론 기반 니켈기 초합금의 열화도 정량화 방법과 열화도 및 크리프 수명 예측의 방법 (Degradation Quantification Method and Degradation and Creep Life Prediction Method for Nickel-Based Superalloys Based on Bayesian Inference)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고온부품의 소재로 사용하는 니켈기 초합금인 DA-5161 SX에 대한 크리프시험으로 얻은 시편 의 주사전자현미경으로 촬영한 미세조직 단면의 이미지로부터 인공지능 기반 열화인덱스(Degradation Index)로 정 량화 하는 새로운 방법을 제시하고 운전 중인 기기의 고온부품의 구성품을 파괴하지 않고 베이지안 추론 기반 열화 도를 예측하는 모델과, Larson-Miller Parameter(LMP)를 예측하여 크리프 수명 예측 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 니켈 기 초합금 미세조직인 감마프라임 상(γ')의 기하학적 특징 및 베이지안 추론 기반으로 소량의 이미지로 일관성 있는 대푯값을 추론하는 새로운 열화인덱스 방법과 고온부품을 파괴하지 않고 소재의 환경조건 정보만으로 열화인덱스 와 LMP를 예측할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다.

  • The engine exhaustive valve became essential as the important element. The dissimmilar welding method of exhaustive valve head to stem was asked for manufacturing the engine exhaustive valve, for which the electric resistance are welding has been conventionally used, resulting in poor quality of the welded joint. In this paper, not only the development of optimizing of friction welding with more reliability and more applicability but also the development of in-process real-time weld qudlity(such as strength and toughness) evaluation technique by acoustic emission for friction welding of the engine exhaustive valve(SUH3-SUH35 dissimilar steels) were perfomed. The high temperature(500, 500, 600$^{circ}$C) creep properties prediction of the friction welded joint of SUH3-SUH35 was investigated relating to the initial strain meethod(ISM) as a new approach, resulting in obtaining an experimental equation of creep life prediction.

Type 316LN 스테인리스강의 장시간 크리프 수명 예측을 위한 최소구속법의 적용 (Application of Minimum Commitment Method for Predicting Long-Term Creep Life of Type 316LN Stainless Steel)

  • Abstract: A minimum commitment method(MCM) was applied to predict the long-term creep rupture life for type 316LN stainless steel(SS). Lots of the creep-rupture data for the type 316LN SS were collected through world-wide literature surveys and the experimental data of KAERI. Using these data, the long-term creep rupture life above ${10}^5$ hour was predicted by means of the MCM. In order to obtain the most appropriate value for the constant A being used in the MCM equation, trial and error method was used for the wide ranges from -0.12 to 0.12, and the best value was determined by using the coefficient of determination, $R^2$ which is a statistical parameter. A suitable value for the A in type 316LN stainless steel was found to be at -0.02 ~ -0.05 ranges. It is considered that the MCM will be superior in creep-life prediction to commonly-used timetemperature parametric method, because the P(T) and G($\sigma$) functions are determined from the regression method based on experimental data.
