This study set out to analyze and compare gifted elementary students and non-gifted students in emotional intelligence and creative nature. To understand the characteristics of the former, and provide assistance for career education for both groups. For this purpose, the three following research questions were set: First, what kind of difference is there in emotional intelligence between gifted elementary students and non-gifted students? Second, what kind of difference is there in creative nature between gifted elementary students and non-gifted students? Third, what is the connection between emotional intelligence and creative nature in gifted elementary students and non-gifted students? For this study, 102 students from the gifted class and 132 students from non-gifted classes were selected. In total 234 questionnaires were distributed, and the results were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows. First, as a result of the independent sample T-test, there were noticeable differences in giftedness. Gifted students scored significantly higher than non-gifted students in creative nature. Second, as a result of the independent sample T-test, there were noticeable differences in the creative nature of gifted and non-gifted students. Gifted students scored significantly higher than non-gifted students in creative nature. Third, by analyzing the results found for emotional intelligence and creative nature with Pearson's product-moment correlation, there was a positive correlation between both emotional intelligence and creative nature in both groups of results.
The purpose of this study was how a nature-friendly fingertips play program with nature affected the development of small muscle functions and creative thinking abilities of young children. The subjects of this study were 28 five year old children. Fourteen of them were from H preschool and the other fourteen were from P preschool in the city of B. The research 'evaluation tool for small muscle motor function development' by Byung Dong Kang(2002) was used to measure the small muscle motor functions of preschool students. The Korean version standardized by Young Chae Kim(2004) was used to measure the development of creative thinking abilities. The study arrived at the following results. First, the nature-friendly fingertips play program affected positively to the development of entire small muscle functions, accuracy, rapidness, and stability for young children. Second, the nature-friendly fingertips play program affected positively to the entire creative thinking abilities, fluency, and resistance to the early conclusion. In conclusion, the nature- friendly fingertips play program affected positively to the development of small motor functions and creative thinking abilities.
This study aims to recognize that creative thinking methodologies can be adopted in the spatial design. The concept of 'Convergent' and 'Divergent' used in structure of intellect model by Guilford is chosen to understand the character of creative thinking methodologies. Technical and physical contradictions is analyzed for '40 inventive principles' of TRIZ and spatial design works. Through this study, we recognize that the creative thinking methodologies consist of analysis, idea generation and evaluation phase. The psychological inertia that limits the creative thinking should be move away from solving problem, and convergent and divergent thinking have peculiarities to be adopted in condition and to be harmonized, and to set the direction of solving technical problems through to reach the target point integrated way of thinking is needed. '40 inventive principles' by Altshuller are based on engineering and useful in many areas of fields. However some principles are not accepted in design process because these are not considered in design field and paradigm is changed from machine to nature. Nowadays, nature is a prime issue for sustainable human life, because it has sustainable recycle structure and saving energy ways. Thus, creative thinking, including TRIZ is useful in design education and progress, and should be an essential element to get a new design paradigm.
Whitehead's metaphysics and philosophy of nature rest on his awareness of the metaphysical problem of the relation between "I", the "creative advance" and forces of the universe. Whitehead attempted to systematize human experience of the world based on logical explorations. In this context it is important to note that his discussion of proposition and language is closely connected with his works on a systematic theory of nature. Whitehead proposes a metaphysical concept of proposition also based on the creative advance of the universe. His theory of proposition is designed to show that human language is constructions of the relations between logical and real events in the creative universe which refer to a particular point of view. In this view, a variety of verbal possibilities in the multiple worlds can be realized in the same proposition. For Whitehead the emergence of novelty in the function of proposition is an essential property of the creative universe. This paper will try to give a discussion to Whitehead's theory of proposition with regard to the emergence of nature. Especially I emphasize in this paper Whitehead's idea and meaning of proposition for the development of the creative advance of nature as one aspect of particular importance.

These days, hair design is recognized as a kind of molding arts which peform expression skill to create personal self as well as practical skill. Recently, the efforts to express hair design sublimating it to art works have continued. For these reasons, this study had purposes as follows; First, it developed creative and original design producing works to shape the flower image that was an important material of hair design. Second, it presented the possibility to express the field of hair design with art. In the flow of age, nature has provided design with unlimited creative motive. Flowers, among various materials, show the nature's change, combination and order and impose diverse symbolic meanings. Therefore, flowers are good materials to express the works. Through the process of decolorizing and dyeing with hair, five works of nature's fragrance, hope, reed flowers, windflower, magnolia blossom had been produced. The results of the process were as follows; First, the transformation of shape through the simple process taking the image of shaping flower as subject matter could be a motive of new hair design art. Second, if the various images of flowers were expressed as hair art with three-dimensional shape, it could be works with value of beauty. Through the process of this study, it was proved that nature could be endless subject matter for art. Therefore, with continuous studies, it can be motive of developing designs in producing work activities of many hair designers. In addition, academic development will be achieved through wide and diverse studies.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the planning direction of educational spaces to support children's healthy and creative learning based on bio_philic theory. This study analyzed the characteristics of the application of biophilic patterns in children's education space through case analysis. The conclusion of this study is summarized as follows. As a result of the analysis of children's classroom space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but the pattern of 'C(Non-Rhythmic Sensory Stimuli), G(Connection with Natural Systems), I(Material Connection with Nature)' shows low application rate. In particular, there is a lack of connection with patterns such as hearing, smell, touch, taste stimulation and water experience, and curiosity through exploration of nature about 'B(Non-visual connection with nature), E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' changes in nature and ecosystem. In the corridor and rest space, the pattern of 'A(Visual connection with nature), D(Thermal & Airflow Variability), F(Dynamic & Diffuse Light), G(Connection with Natural Systems), K(Prospect)' shows high application rate, but 'B(Non-visual connection with nature)' shows low application rate. In addition, the application of patterns related to the stimulation of curiosity through direct exploration of nature and the exploration of the patterns of 'E(Presence of Water), N(Risk/Peril)' is insufficient. Therefore, in the case of classroom spaces, the active use of nature as it is should be considered within the scope that does not cause visual confusion, and it should provide an area that can be experienced through the five senses. And corridors and rest spaces should be designed to introduce more active natural elements as spaces to recover stress caused by learning. In other words, the characteristics of children's education facilities need to be connected between classroom space, corridor, rest space and external space. This study is meaningful in that it analyzes and derives the application characteristics of 'biophilic design' which affects the 'Attention Restoration' of children's educational spaces through foreign cases.

The ecological expression of art in modern society takes the harmonious developmental relationship between man and nature as an element and combines it with the various manifestations of painting as an expression of ecological artistic development. The necessary relationship for the harmonious development of nature is accurately articulated, and the ecological changes in people are expressed in integrated materials that inspire human reflection. In the pursuit of material pleasures, mankind is neglectful and indifferent to the environment. The development of composite painting in art and ecology is a process that more reveres the harmony between man and nature as well as satisfying the creative value of the work. After systematic evaluation and research, people have engaged in various structural forms of composite art painting development in the long history of art development, focusing on the integration of environmental and ecological culture. In the process of nature education going through development, the comprehensive practical development of nature education is enhanced and efforts are made to feel new ecological art ideas and new ways of valuing environmental protection. In this paper, an observational study of eco-art will be carried out, starting from the theory of hierarchical division and analyzing the contradictory relationship between man and nature. Recognize nature, understand it and feel it through eco-art painting. The analysis of the contradictory relationship between man and nature is combined with the identification of various types of information that give value to the environmental protection public, and the combination of ecological painting and nature art to achieve an upgrade of the environmental protection idea of the value of painting. In the development of artistic ecological comprehensive painting, it is necessary to put forward technical requirements and standards that meet the development of modern industry according to the characteristics and methods of ecological painting. The author of this paper discusses the necessity and social value of artistic ecological painting creation from the artist's point of view, expounds the practical achievements of ecological painting from the perspective of the history and present situation of the development of ecological aesthetics at home and abroad, and gives the concept and creative method of contemporary art comprehensive material painting in combination with his own actual situation.
As consumption pattern and fashion communication become digitalized, fashion houses are being inherited by creative directors owing to their expanding role. While the roles and responsibilities of creative directors have been changing extensively along with the dynamic nature of the fashion industry, researches on creative directions have mostly focused on luxury brands. This study examined the creative direction of John Galliano for Maison Margiela, a conceptual brand to be maintained by a creative director. To analyze this, the authors established a creative direction analysis model constituting five elements: brand heritage, trend, democratization, brand status, and persona, drawing on the luxury brand architecture by Kapferer and Bastien. Thus, Galliano has maintained anonymity as a heritage of Maison Margiela, expanding the existing Replica lines, and introduced fashion shows focusing on current issues or social phenomena. As a democratization strategy, he directed the brand to associate with more popular brands or expanded diffusion lines to secure broader customer base, while demonstrating couturier-like showmanship in the media and establishing his own persona. His direction for Maison Margiela recreates and expands brand heritage by transforming the brand philosophy. Therefore the new creative direction communicates with the wider public and diversifies customer bases through democratization strategies, while building Galliano's own persona.
The purpose of this study is to suggest the modification of activities to introduce the nature of science in earth science classrooms. A small modification can turn ordinary textbook activities into the nature of science activities. Since earth science could provide a good basis for the tentative, creative, and socially and culturally embedded nature of science, as well as appropriate understanding about scientific methods, careful modification of earth science activities could be effective for students to understand the nature of science. Considering which aspects of the nature of science are appropriate, along with the possible change in the activity, teachers will be able to modify textbook activities effectively. An example modification of H-R diagram activity was also suggested.

This study is a survey conducted to explore what art high school students specifically see as nature of science. Third-year students of a high school of arts in Gyeonggi-do participated in the survey. The questionnaire was classified into three categories - the formative arts in the fine arts, the sound arts in music, the performing arts in dance, and drama and play. The study analyzed what they think of as similar aspects of science and art respectively according to their majors, with focus on the extracts. As a result, they mentioned 'creative imagination', 'correlation with technology', 'social and cultural relation', 'subjectivity', 'variability', and 'inquiring attitude' as similarities between science and art. The results are almost the same as the elements of the nature of science as agreed on by scientists. From the result, we can assume that students majoring in art, indeed, need an education on the nature of science. Also, while the fine arts students have more tendency to perceive inquiring attitude than others, music students are more likely to perceive variability than others. Therefore, teaching strategy in experimental inquiring context for the former is more helpful in understanding the nature of science, and teaching strategy in the context of scientific history for the latter.
