흔들의자의 양식 변천 연구(1) - 흔들의자의 이론적 배경과 윈저 Rocker 및 보스톤 Rocker의 양식 - (Study on the historical change of rocker style(1) - Theoretical background of rockers and the style of Windsor rockers and Boston rockers -)

  • This study understands rockers of today and supplies basic data of design and manufacture studying pattern change of rockers arisen in West, there is the purpose. Also, this study is investigated by dividing theoretical background of rockers, 7 kinds of American traditional rockers and European rockers from 18th century to opening part of 20th century and contemporary rockers since 20th century. The theoretical background and the style of 2 rockers (Windsor rocker, Boston rocker) were investigated to study the stylistic changes of rockers. Originally a rocker was invented by a European farmer around 1700. It developed to a household which equip practicality and comfortablness in the United States than Europe. Early rockers in a primal form appeared in the 1740s in the United States. American early rockers connected skate to established chair bridge. Rockers are deep connection with family's emotion. Rockers can provide playing functions for children and medically treating functions for adults. Windsor Rockers developed by attaching skate is mammy bench and according to shape of back form bow or hoop-back rocker, birdcage rocker, comb-back rocker. Windsor Rockers formed peculiar American tradition of craftsman furniture through structure that have a unique back of a chair and round seat. Boston Rockers were the first chairs made by mass production method. They show a particular shape with S-curve style seat and rectangular crest at the upper part of the back. Often Crests were decorated by stenciled pattern with curled leaves such as rosettes and scrolled designs.

DIY가구 제작에 활용도를 높이는 짜임의 난이도 연구 (A Study on Difficulty of setting-up to Raise Utilization In Manufacture of DIY Furniture)

  • As the contemporary lifestyle has changed and the time to enjoy hobbies is increased, people prefer the DIY furniture that can be used at homes by manufacturing their own unique furnitures. Especially, the architecture of our country handed down traditionally or the setting-up technique used in furnitures are the techniques to maintain firmness even after long time passes by. Accordingly, in order to supply a firm setting-up technique mostly used by craftsman in the manufacture of DIY furniture and to apply this easily, a web site and 3D program system are required. In order to do so, it is important to prepare the system of setting-up that can be followed easily first by classifying the difficulty of setting-up that the general public can follow easily without having difficulties among the types of setting-up. Therefore, this study has performed a systematic arrangement by the order of difficulty for the types of setting-up that are investigated and arranged to set the purpose as presenting materials that are helpful so the furnitures using setting-up can be manufactured even in the manufacture of general DIY furnitures. Accordingly, the investigated results of setting-up difficulty are applied in the order of difficulty to a 3D program and as users select the suitable setting-up for their own standard, it is expected to be utilized in DIY furnitures that are manufactured directly.

백제(百濟) 혼축기단(混築基壇)의 연구(硏究) (A Study on Mixed Construction of Platform of Baikje)

  • "Mixed construction of platform" means the platform which was constructed by mixing heterogeneous materials such as roof tiles or bricks with divided stone of trimmed stone. This kind of construction technique was not known or found from the building sites of Goguryo or Silla so far and therefore it used to be understood as a unique platform construction technique or the product of technology and creativeness of Baikje's craftsman. The mixed construction of platform of Baikje came to position itself as one of the patterns of platform mainly used over Sabi period and we found the pattern from the sites including Imryugak site in Gongju, temple for royal tomb in Gwanbuk-ri, Wangheungsa Temple site, building site in Keumseong Mountain, Ohapsa Temple site in Byryeong. From the fact that they used a variety of materials which they could easily get around them such as roof tiles or bricks in addition to stones for the construction of platforms, we can see the feasibility and decoration characteristics of their material supply at that time. On the other hand, this mixed construction of platform was not popular in Goguryo and Silla, the major reason for which is judged to be non-existence of platforms to construct using bricks or roof tiles which could be constructed together with platform using divided stones. This is supported by the results of excavation of Hwangryongsa Temple site, Bunhwangsa Temple site, Heungryunsa Temple site of Silla which gave us comparatively abundant excavation data, and Jeongreungsa Temple site, Cheongamsa Temple site, Toseongrisa Temple site and building site in Daeseong Mountain castle and Anhak Palace site of Goguryo. For further progressive study on the mixed construction of platform of Baikje in the future, we will have to review more on the social background and technical background with the linkage with archeology and architecture at that time which led to the creation of such platform.

초정밀 금형가공기를 이용한 비구면 렌즈 가공특성 연구 (Characteristics of aspheric lens processing using ultra-precision moulds processing system)

  • The fabrication of precision optical components by deterministic CNC grinding is an area of great current interest. Replacement of the traditional, craftsman driven, optical fabrication process is essential to reduce costs and increase process flexibility and reliability. Moreover, CNC grinding is well suited to the fabrication of complex shapes such as aspheres, making it possible to design optical systems with fewer components and reduced weight. Current technology is capable of producing surfaces with less than 2 microns peak to valley error, 50 nm rms surface roughness, and less than 1 micron subsurface damage. Bound abrasive tools, in which the abrasive particles are fixed in a second (matrix) material, play an important part in achieving this performance. In this paper, the factors affecting the ultra-fine surface roughness and profile accuracy of machined surfaces of aspheric parts has been analyzed experimentally and theoretically and on ultra-precision aspheric grinding system and precise adjusting mechanism have been designed and manufactured. In the paper we report the results of experiments and modeling performed to examine the effects of machinability, occurring during grinding of optical surfaces, on the tool surface profile. Profiles of machined surface were measured by using SEM. In order to optimize grinding conditions of aspheric lens processing, we performed experiments by design of experiments.

홍대용과 공학교육 (Hong Dae-Yong and Engineering Education)

  • 홍대용은 서양의 과학기술이 수학적 원리와 정밀한 관측에 근거하고 있음을 확인하고, [주해수용(籌解需用)]이라는 수학책을 저술함으로써 수학자로 일컬을 만 하다. 그리고, 홍대용은 동양의 자연관과 우주관을 비판적으로 수용 검토하고, 서양의 과학사상에 근거하여 무한우주설을 포함한 여러 가지 진취적 과학사상을 제시함으로써, 조선후기의 자연과학자로 인정할 수 있는 업적을 남겼다. 또한, 실천을 중요시한 홍대용은 서양식 혼천의와 자명종을 이해?수용하고 기술자의 도움을 받아 제작하여, 자신의 개인관측소(籠水閣)에 설치할 정도로 기술자로서의 면모도 갖추었다. 홍대용의 과학자 및 기술자로서의 측면을 통하여, '수학적 사고, 창의적 구상, 실천적 활동' 등을 21세기 한국의 우수한 기술자를 양성하기 위한 교육방향으로 설정하여도 좋을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 본 논문은 국가기술자격 전자분야 5개 종목(전자계산기기능사, 전자계산기제어산업기사, 전자계산기조직응용기사, 전자계산기기사, 임베디드기사)의 실기시험 현장성 강화와 자격의 가치 제고를 위해서 국가직무능력표준(National Competency Standards)을 반영한 실기시험 평가방법 개선안을 제안한다. 각 자격에 대해 산업계, 교육계, 자격 전문가로 구성된 자문회의를 통해 작업형, 지필형, 혼합형(작업 및 지필) 평가를 위한 능력단위를 도출하였고, 모의 평가 수행 및 분석을 통해 효과를 검증하였다. 작업형 문제는 단일형 또는 혼합형 평가방법을 적용하였고, 지필형 문제는 업무 시나리오 기반 시스템 설계 및 구현 과정을 반영한 평가방법을 적용하였다.

홍대용이 제작한 천문시계 통천의의 기계동력시스템 (MECHANICAL POWER SYSTEM OF TONGCHEON-UI, AN ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK MADE BY HONG, DAE-YONG)

  • Hong, Dae-Yong manufactured the Tongcheon-ui (Pan-celestial Armillary Sphere) with cooperating clock researcher Na, Kyeong-Jeok, and its craftsman An, Cheo-In, in Naju of Jeolla Province in 1760 ~ 1762. Tongcheon-ui is a kind of astronomical clock with an armillary sphere which is rotated by the force generated by a lantern clock's weight. In our study, we examine the lantern clock model of Tongcheon-ui through its description of the articles written by Hong himself. As his description, however, did not explain the detail of the mechanical process of the lantern clock, we investigate the remains of lantern clocks in the possession of Korea University Museum and Seoul National University Museum. Comparing with the clocks of these museums, we designed the lantern clock model of Tongcheon-ui which measures 115 mm (L) × 115 mm (W) × 307 mm (H). This model has used the structure of the striking train imitated from the Korea University Museum artifact and is also regulated by a foliot escapement which is connected to a going train for timekeeping. The orientation of the rotation of the going train and the striking train of our model makes a difference with the remains of both university museums. That is, on the rotation axis of the first gear set of Tongcheon-ui's lantern clock, the going and the striking trains take on a counterclockwise and clockwise direction, respectively. The weight of 6.4 kg makes a force driving these two trains to stick to the pulley on the twine pulling across two spike gears corresponding to the going train and the striking train. This weight below the pulley may travel down about 560 mm per day. We conclude that the mechanical system of Tongcheon-ui's lantern clock is slightly different from the Japanese style.

한복기능사실기시험의 색동저고리 패턴 연구 (A Study on the Saekdong Jeogori Pattern in Hanbok Craftsman Examination)

  • In the diverse modern era, individuals are actively striving to develop and demonstrate their capabilities . As a means of cultivating interest in hanbok and differentiatedabilities , there exists a national qualification verification for hanbok technician. This study focuses on using Saekdong-jeogori pattern that is suitable for design and allows for accurate pattern production in a short time for beginners taking the practical test for hanbok technicians. We analyzed five experimental Saekdong-jeogori patterns, from which the final patterns for research were derived through appearance tests on the first table evaluation and the second outfit evaluation. The Saekdong-jeogori pattern-1 for research utilized the body values presented by beginners taking the hanbok technician qualification verification, while the rest were calculated or applied using equivalents. The godae point and armhole depth were calculated based on the chest circumference, and the armhole curve, sleeve shape, doryeon line, and sleeve-end were drawn, regardless of the changes in the figures, using equal parts. The Saekdong-jeogori pattern-2 provided activity by vertically lowering the side line from the end of the armhole, and the keotseop line was drawn by moving 1 cm from the width of the Kit to the armhole line. The seopko was raised 0.2 cm from the keotseop reference line and0.2cm , and was supplemented by its connection to a natural curve.

동대문 패션클러스터를 기반으로 한 데님 브랜드 개발 (Denim Brand Development Based on Dongdaemun Fashion Cluster)

  • This study participated in educational programs for young designers and received trainings in sewing technology through government and local government-supported projects led by a from a skilled craftsman. These initiatives aim to revitalize the Dongdaemun fashion cluster, which is currently experiencing stagnation. Our goal is to develop denim brands that reflect the unique regional characteristics stemming from the skilled sewing techniques and denim processes of the Changsin·Sungin regions, the production hubs supporting Dongdaemun, to discover solutions for revitalizing the local industry. For the research method, we collected data by actively participating in support projects related to the Dongdaemun fashion cluster. Additionally, we gathered data by conducting a theoretical review of the sewing industry in the Changsin·Sungin regions and the Dongdaemun fashion cluster. The research results include developing a denim brand collection-eight denim products-based on Changsin-dong's unique denim sewing technology and various denim washing processes acquired through the support project and regional characteristics. Overall, this study is meaningful in presenting a sustainable plan to revitalize the domestic sewing and manufacturing industry, focusing on the Dongdaemun fashion cluster. We achieved this by developing a denim brand that leverages the sewing and washing process technology and the unique regional characteristics of Changsin-dong.

강진 월남사지(月南寺址) 출토 금동풍탁(金銅風鐸)에 대하여 (About a Wind-chime excavated from WolnamSaji(月南寺址) in GangJin)

  • 강진 월남사지는 그 동안 3층석탑과 파괴된 비석이 남아있었던 소규모 폐사지였다. 하지만 사역 입구쪽에 있던 파괴된 비가 고려시대 신앙결사운동의 한 축을 담당했던 수선사 제2세인 진각국사 혜심의 것으로 밝혀졌고, 그 이후 최근의 발굴조사를 통해 백제 사비도읍기로 추정되는 연화문수막새가 수습되면서 다시 한 번 주목받게 되었다. 특히 2012년 출토된 금동풍탁은 높이 23cm에 이르는 대형급에 속할 뿐 아니라, 탁신 네 면에 비교적 큰 범자가 장식되어 이채롭다. 이에 더해 풍탁 보존처리 과정에서 '개천(盖天)'으로 추정되는 음각 명문도 확인되었다. 월남사지 출토 금동풍탁의 범자는 '옴'( , oṃ), '아'( , a), 훔( , hūṃ), 브룸( , bhrūṃ)이다. '옴'( , oṃ), '아'( , a), 훔( hūṃ)은 삼밀진언으로 알려졌고, 브룸( , bhrūṃ)은 최상의 존격을 의미한다. 또한 삼밀진언은 그 수행법을 통해서 우주 근본 원리인 법신불과 감응하여 진리를 깨닫도록 하고, 브룸( , bhrūṃ)은 일체 결합의 의미가 있다. 결국 금동풍탁 네 면을 장식하고 있는 범자의 의미는 불교의 교조(敎祖)인 부처님이 설한 '법(法)[교리]' 혹은 그 자체로서 최상의 존격인 '佛(불)'과 결합되기를 갈망하는 의지의 표현으로 해석할 수 있다. 탁신에 새겨진 '개천(盖天)'의 명문은 풍탁 제작과 관련된 인명으로 볼 수도 있으나, 고려시대 향완, 반자, 향로 등에 새겨진 명문과 그 위치가 쉽게 보이지 않는 곳에 있다는 점을 고려하면, 인명이 아닐 가능성이 높다고 생각된다. 그렇다면 결국 풍탁이 지니고 있는 본래의 기능을 생각할 수 있다. 즉 법음(法音)으로 상징되는 풍탁의 소리가 하늘을 덮어 시방세계에 널리 퍼졌으면 하는 바람을 상징적 함축적으로 표현한 것으로 해석할 수 있을 것이다. 월남사지 출토 금동풍탁은 폐사지에서 출토된 풍탁과의 비교, 고려후기 역사적 상황, 밀교 관련 경전 발행연대 등을 종합적으로 고려하면 13세기 중후반에 제작되었다고 생각된다.
