Under the big rush of technology commercialization education in engineering school, this paper is prepared to craft a model of Engineering-based Technology Commercialization Education. First, this paper diagnose main issues relating to technology commercialization education in engineering school pegging by literature review. Second, this paper define an effective technology commercialization education system for engineering school. Third, this paper carries comparing study between an effective technology commercialization education system and technology commercialization education system currently introducing in Korea.

The construction industry has been experiencing a major challenge in its work force, 'the shortage of skilled craft workers.' This problem has been caused by several factors such as the poor image of the construction industry, lack of training and education, unclear career path, declining wages, and changing work force demographics. A 'step-change' approach called the 'Two-Tier Work Force Strategy' has been proposed by the Center for Construction Industry Studies (CCIS) to deal with the work force related issues in a radical way. It is composed of two separate strategies, Tier I and II. The Tier I strategy uses less skilled and task trained craft workers, and has a larger administrative site management team than the Tier II strategy. The Tier II strategy utilizes fewer, better-educated, and higher skilled workers who perform some lower-management functions in addition to craft functions. They are paid more, but produce more through higher skills, stay on the job longer through multi-skilling, and deliver improved project performance in safety, quality, schedule, and cost The Two-Tier Work Force Strategy has the potential to resolve the current work force problems and foster a better work force environment in the future.
This paper investigates the characteristics of Japanese vocational education and training(VET) system and its recent changes with regard to the labour market changes under the long-term economic depression. The employment system model of Marsden(1999) is used as an analytical framework. By the review of 'the debate of intellectual skill', it is pointed out that the fundamental characteristic of Japanese VET system lies in forming multi-functional workers by the internal promotion in connection with the OJT-focused enterprise training along the job-competency rank system. In this system 'the skill as work-competency' is not institutionalised. By the long-term depression this type of internal labour market (ILM) has been under serious changes. By the policy analyses it is made clear that the direction of its change is not toward the collapse of the ILM. A series of labor market and VET policies does aim at sustaining the ILM by the introduction of the unified job qualification system, which is expected to institutionalise the widening external labour market into the craft-based labour market.
Objectives: The community network is a foundation laid by the local community which has been formed historically and geographically to develop itself. This paper as a Korean way of healthy network survey for the community capacity building is an exploratory research to grasp the character of Korean society and then to organize an resident-governing partnership for that. Methods: Research objectives are CBOs(Community-Based Organizations) in S-district of Seoul. This region is a new town, however the solidarity and volunteerism of this resident is lively. The survey tool is Cho's CBOs Evaluation Questionnaire which was originated to measure the community capacity. The period of survey is from the January 2009 to the March 2009 and the study organizations which were collected by snowball sampling were 80. Results: The result shows two main networks: one is the civil society and craft union cluster, the other is welfare organization cluster. Groups of high centrality were organizations whose members are mainly women and craft organizations which were organized before 1990's. The group of high betweenness was the Association of Women's Organizations(0.188). Bi-components were six and they could be divided by organization's aim. In terms of the determinants of the participation to the health center enterprise, only the number of link(B=-0.60, p<0.04) was statistically significant. It means that when organization variables are controlled a tendency appears: the more the voluntary associations network, the less participation in the health enterprise. Conclusion: CBHOs(Community-Based Health Organizations) enhances residents' spontaneity and cohesion to increase the capability of the local community. If the surveyed healthy network, together the community health project, are used for various community development projects, the existing CBOs including CBHOs will be reorganized and furthered newly. For this it will be needed to construct an effective partnership of healthy network by restructuring the existing networks of voluntary associations.
This study analyzed rural experiential educational programs that are currently in operation and examined the programs' reflection of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to explore the significance of those programs in terms of the ESD. In particular, this study analyzed cases of rural experiential educational programs from four villages in the capital region, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Chungcheong. The analysis results are as follows. Four villages' experiential educational programs share similar activities, such as nature experience, farming, traditional food and culture, games in nature, and craft. Each village has special programs and managements according to their geographical and environmental conditions. In addition, those programs are related to the ESD elements of health food, and cultural diversity (in sociocultural area) and of species diversity and environmental issues (in environmental area). On the other hand, the ESD elements in economic areas are not related to those programs. In addition, most of the villages plan and run experiential educational programs to keep and develop their own villages' sustainability. Rural experiential educational programs need to include various elements of ESD to develop rural communities.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception among participants in the Built Environment Education(BEE) programs for children. And also, hopefully, we would get some strategies for development of BEE program through post-evaluation. The survey was conducted by the students and the parents who were participated in the four BEE programs. The key results are as follows: 1) The way of participation in the programs was limited. We should consider public relation strategies and its sustainable curriculum. 2) The students felt easy to learn from the lecture, but we need to consider the students' ability in craft activities and the level of school grades. 3) Most of the participants was satisfied with the programs. For students, the 'Educational Environment(Hours & Facilities)' was highly correlated with overall satisfaction. On the other hand, in the case of parents, the 'Teacher' was highly correlated with overall satisfaction. 4) Parents were aware of the need to link the BEE program to school education such as a subject of 'Creative Activity.' The BEE as an integrated program would be a school curriculum or contents of STEAM education. At the end of this paper, the meaning of this study was discussed.
With the introduction of the system of recognizing masters of craft and performance skills in 1970, the principle of "preserving the original form," which was already in general use, was adopted as a legal principle in the Cultural Heritage Protection Act. While the concept "original form" can be related to tangible elements of heritage through the Act, the intangibility of craft and performance skills does not allow their pinpointing at a particular temporal period or the identification of a particular master from the past as the basis of an original form. Therefore, those craft or performance skills that are available at the point of recognition of relevant masters must serve as the basis of the original form for the intangible heritage concerned. This means that the principle of preserving the original form of intangible heritage has been implemented not based on a fundamental form of materiality, but rather on the craft or performance skills that may be held by a master at the time of his/her recognition as a "temporary original form." This principle has been observed through intangible heritage transmission and education policies for recognized masters and their trainees, contributing to establish an elitist transmission environment in which public were denied to join the education on intangible heritage. Even with policies guided by the principle of preserving the original form, designated craft and performance skills have been transformed contingent upon given social and environmental conditions, thus hindering the preservation of the original form. Despite the intrinsic limitations of the principle of preserving the original form when applied to intangible heritage, this principle has served as a practical guideline for protecting traditional Korean culture from external influences such as modernization and Westernization, and also as an ultimate goal for the safeguarding of intangible heritage, engendering actual policy effects. The Act on the Safeguarding and Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage that comes into effect in March 2016 takes the constantly evolving nature of intangible heritage into consideration and resultantly adopts a concept of "essential form" (jeonhyeong) in place of "original form" (wonhyeong). This new concept allows for any transformations that may take place in the environment surrounding the intangible heritage concerned, and is intended to mitigate the rigidity of the concept of "original form." However, it should be noted that "essential form," which is manifested as the unique significance, knowledge, and skills delivered by the intangible heritage concerned, should be maintained according to the guidelines and principles related to heritage conservation. Therefore, the new concept can be understood not as a rupture, but more as a continuum of the concept of "original form."
Focusing on the differences in perceptions of color education fields between game majors and game designers. As a result, game major college students were surveyed to have a low recognition rate for the color field, the other group were not. for resolve the gap in perception, it's suggested need to re-educate systematic color education of game major college students and color experience of game designers in terms of securing expertise. it's expected to be presenting the direction of fostering game designers with color sense that contributes for the competitiveness of the game industry.

In this research, a subject substitute STEAM program was developed in context of a trend of STEAM education and a new science contents in a 2009 revised curriculum, which can replace the 2009 revised curriculum contents of 'Sound' unit in the third and the fourth grade. The developed program was taught to the 4th graders in a field. After applying the program, how students acknowledge the subject substitute STEAM program was analyzed through questionnaire. The research results were as follows. First, the subject substitute STEAM program of 3 sub programs was developed with centered around 'sound' unit for 4th graders. Second, students made a positive estimation of the STEAM program because of various activities and learning subject related to daily life. Third, they considered difficult term, necessary craft skills in creative design, understanding scientific principle and a lot of necessary time as difficulties of the STEAM program. And they also recognized that making stuff activity and learning aid material like activity sheet, picture and video helped to understand a lesson. Lastly, students had a positive thinking or negative thinking about STEAM program before they learn. But after learning the STEAM program, all of them showed their positive attitude to the STEAM program.
This study intends to analyze the importance of design on the basis of the children' emotion, by instancing the child-oriented furniture that contributes to the healthy growing and emotion-development of children. This means the reflection of the will trying to see the main point of design for the child-oriented furniture and it's possibility from another new standpoint. It will be understood how far the furniture influences the children and for that the furniture among others for the preschool children having playing & leaning functions is taken as an object of the study. The scope of study is the child-oriented furniture having playing & learning functions that has been presented for displaying as well as for a commercial use, since 2005. The attempt to find objective factors working positively for the emotion- & behavior development of children through seeking a new design of the child-oriented furniture for playing & learning is for emphasizing the importance of the emotional function, not only the primary function of furniture, at designing the child-oriented furniture. The combination between applications of the specialized material for child education & studies, therefore, has to be handled more importantly. The child-oriented furniture for playing & leaning that stimulates a healthy growing of child not only physically, also emotionally should be constantly and more deeply specialized on child education and design aspects.
