3원계 Ni-Cr-Si 스퍼터 박막의 제조공정 변화에 따른 전기적 특성 (The effect of the process parameters on the electrical properties of Ni-Cr-Si alloy thin film resistor)

  • 3원계 51wt%Ni-4lwt%Cr-8wt%Si 합금 타겟을 가지고 DC/RF 마그네트론 스퍼터를 이용하여 박막저항을 제조하였고, 낮은 저항온도계수(TCR)를 가지는 박막을 만들기 위해 제조공정의 변화에 따른 박막의 미세구조와 전기적인 특성을 조사하였다. 스퍼터링 제조공정 변수로써 DC/RF Power, 반응압력, 기판온도를 변화시켰고, 제조된 박막은 공기중에서 $400[^{\circ}C]$까지 열처리 하였다. 반응압력을 감소시킴에 따라 TCR값은 감소하였고, 기판온도 및 열처리 온도의 증가에 따라 TCR값도 증가하였다. 또한, 비저항은 DC Power에서 $172[{\mu}{\Omega}cm]$, RF인 경우에는 $209[{\mu}{\Omega}cm]$을 나타내었고, 각각 +52, $-25[ppm/^{\circ}C]$의 TCR값을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 결과로부터 제조공정을 변화시킴에 따라 면저항 및 저항온도계수의 제어가 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 현재 전기, 전자, 우주, 자동차, 무기 등의 여러 분야에서 응용되고 있는 TaNx 다층박막저항체의 특성을 개선하기 위하여 magnetron sputtering법으로 TaNx박막을 제조한 후, 온도와 질소분압에 따른 전기저항 및 TCR특성 변화를 조사하였고, 미세조직이 이들 전기적 성질에 미치는 영향을알아보기 위해 상분석과 morphology를 관찰하였다. 그 결과, TaNx을 코팅한 박막의 전기저항은 $N_{2}$Ar이 0.4 이상에서, 금속전도특성에서 이온전도특성으로 변화하였으며,Cr이 TCR효과를 안정시키는 역할은 하여 TaNx/A $I_{2}$ $O_{3}$보다 TaNx/Cr/A $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$박막의 TCR특성이 더 안정하게 나타났다. 또한 TaNx/A $I_{2}$ $O_{3}$박막과 TaNx/Cr/A $i_{2}$ $O_{3}$박막의 경우 모두 $N_{2}$/Ar이 0-0.4정도에서 TCR효과에 좋은 특성을 나타내었다. X-선회절 실험 결과 $N_{2}$/Ar비가 1일 경우에 T $a_{2}$ $N_{.8}$이 생성되었고, 분압이 증가함에 따라 비정질이 생성되었다. morphology가 $N_{2}$/Ar이 증가함에 따라 입자의 모양이 불연속아일랜드 형태로 변화하였으며, 이것은 질소분압에 따른 전기저항 변화와 일치하였다.다.

  • This paper describes a MEMS-based micro-fluxgate magnetic sensing element using Ni$\_$0.8/Fe$\_$0.2/ film formed by electroplating. The micro-fluxgate magnetic sensor composed of a thin film magnetic core and micro-structured solenoids for the pick-up and the excitation coils, is developed by using MEMS technologies in order to take advantage of low-cost, small size and lower power consumption in the fabrication. A copper with 20um width and 3um thickness is electroplated on Cr(300${\AA}$)/Au(1500${\AA}$) films for the pick-up(42turn) and the excitation(24turn) coils. In order to improve the sensitivity of the sensing element, we designed the magnetic core into a rectangular-ring shape to reduce the magnetic flux leakage. An electroplated permalloy film with the thickness of 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$ is obtained under 2000Gauss to induce magnetic anisotropy. The magnetic core has the high DC effective permeability of ∼1,100 and coercive field of -0.1Oe. The fabricated sensing element using rectangular-ring shaped magnetic film has the sensitivity of about 150V/T at the excitation frequency of 2MHz and the excitation voltage of 4.4Vp-p. The power consumption is estimated to be 50mW.

$CeO_{2}/BaTiO_{3}$ 이중완충막을 이용한 YBCO 박막 제작 (Fabrication of YBCO superconducting film with $CeO_{2}/BaTiO_{3}$double buffer layer)

  • We have fabricated good quality superconducting YBa$_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) thin films on Hastelloy(Ni-Cr-Mo alloys) metallic substrates with CeO$_2$and BaTiO$_3$buffer layers in-situ by pulsed laser deposition in a multi-target processing chamber. YBCO film with CeO$_2$ single buffer layer shows T$_{c}$ of 71.64 K and the grain size less than 0.1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. When BaTiO$_3$is used as a single buffer layer, the grain size of YBCO is observed to be larger than that of YBCO/CeO$_2$by 200 times and the transition temperature of the film is enhanced to be about 84 K. CeO$_2$/BaTiO$_3$double buffer layer has been adopted to enhance the superconducting properties, which results in the enhancement of the critical temperature and the critical current density to be about 85 K and 8.4 $\times$ 10$^4$ A/cm$^2$ at 77 K, respectively mainly due to the enlargement of the grain size of YBCO film.ilm.

304 및 430 스테인레스 강판의 산화 및 중성염 전해산세 거동 (Oxidation and Neutral Electrolytic Pickling Behavior of 304 and 430 Stainless Steels)

  • Oxidation behavior of 304 and 430 stainless steel were studied using thin film X-ray analysis and glow discharge spectrum analysis (here-after GDS). The oxidation layer of 304 stainless steel was composed of $Cr_2O_3\;and\;FeCrO_4$ and its thickness was about $1.5{\mu}m$ after $1\~5$ minutes of annealing at $1120^{\circ}C$ open air. However, the oxidation layer of 430 stainless steels was mainly composed of $Cr_2O_3$ and its typical thickness was 0.5um after $1\~5$ minutes of annealing at $1000^{\circ}C$ open air. Electro-chemical analysis revealed that the descaling of oxidation layer could be activated by Fe, Cr dissolution from the matrix behind the oxidation layer at the current density of $5\~10ASD$ and by Fe, Cr-oxide dissolution from the oxidation layer at the current density over than 10ASD. Electrolytic stripping of 430 and 304 revealed the intial incubation period of descaling by oxygen evolving at low current density range such as $5\~10ASD$. However the dissolution of oxide layer was occurred when applying the anodic current of $10\~20ASD$ on 430 and 304 stainless steels. It was suggested that the electrolytic pickling of high Cr bearing stainless steel such as 430 and 304 seemed to be the more effective in the high current density range such as $10\~20ASD$ than the low current density range such as $5\~10ASD$.

Effectiveness of medical coating materials in decreasing friction between orthodontic brackets and archwires

  • Objective: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the changes in friction between orthodontic brackets and archwires coated with aluminum oxide (Al2O3), titanium nitride (TiN), or chromium nitride (CrN). In addition, the resistance of the coatings to intraoral conditions was evaluated. Methods: Stainless steel canine brackets, 0.016-inch round nickel-titanium archwires, and 0.019 × 0.025-inch stainless steel archwires were coated with Al2O3, TiN, and CrN using radio frequency magnetron sputtering. The coated materials were examined using scanning electron microscopy, an X-ray diffractometer, atomic force microscopy, and surface profilometry. In addition, the samples were subjected to thermal cycling and in vitro brushing tests, and the effects of the simulated intraoral conditions on the coating structure were evaluated. Results: Coating of the metal bracket as well as nickel-titanium archwire with Al2O3 reduced the coefficients of friction (CoFs) for the bracket-archwire combination (p < 0.01). When the bracket and stainless steel archwire were coated with Al2O3 and TiN, the CoFs were significantly lower (0.207 and 0.372, respectively) than that recorded when this bracket-archwire combination was left uncoated (0.552; p < 0.01). The friction, thermal, and brushing tests did not deteriorate the overall quality of the Al2O3 coatings; however, some small areas of peeling were evident for the TiN coatings, whereas comparatively larger areas of peeling were observed for the CrN coatings. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that the CoFs for metal bracket-archwire combinations used in orthodontic treatment can be decreased by coating with Al2O3 and TiN thin films.

졸-겔 방법을 이용하여 제작된 (Mn, Cr)xCo1-xFe2O4 박막의 구조적, 자기적 특성 (Structural and Magnetic Properties of (Mn, Cr)xCo1-xFe2O4 Thin Films Prepared by Sol-gel Method)

  • 역스피넬 산화물 $CoFe_2O_4$에서 Co를 Mn 또는 Cr클 치환하여 얻어지는 $Mn_xCo_{1-x}Fe_2O_4$$Cr_xCo_{1-x}Fe_2P_4$ 박막시료 들을 졸-겔 방법을 이용하여 제작하고 그 구조적, 자기적 특성들을 비교분석 하였다. X-ray diffraction 측정 결과, Mn 치환의 경우는 치환량의 증가에 따라 격자상수가 증가하였지만 Cr치환의 경우는 격자상수가 거의 변화하지 않음이 관측되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 Mn 치환의 경우 팔면체 자리의 Co이온과 같은 원자가 +2를 가지게 되는 것으로 설명 가능하며 Cr치환의 경우는 +3을 가지게 되어 같은 양의 $Fe^{3+}$이온들의 $Fe^{2+}$로의 환원이 발생하는 것으로 설명되어질 수 있다. $Cr_Co_{1-x}Fe_2O_4$박막들에 대한 Mossbauer 스펙트럼 측정 결과 사면체 자리에 $Fe^{2+}$이온의 존재가 관측되었으며 이는 $Cr^{3+}$이온의 팔면체 자리 치환에 의하여 야기되는 사면체 자리의 $Fe^{3+}{\rightarrow}Fe^{2+}$ 환원에 의한 것으로 해석된다. 반면에 $Mn_xCo_{1-x}Fe_2O_4$ 박막들에 대한 Mossbauer스펙트럼 측정 결과, $Fe^{2+}$ 이온의 존재는 관측되지 않았으며 Mn 치환량이 큰 경우 (>0.47)팔면체 자리의 $Fe^{3+}$이온들의 사면체 자리로의 이동이 관측되었다. 박막들에 대한 진동시료자화(vibrating sample magnetometry)측정 결과, Mn, Cr 치환의 경우 모두 $CoFe_2O_4$와 비교하여 포화자화량이 증가함이 나타났으며 치환에 관여한 이온들 간의 스핀 자기 능률 크기의 비교를 통하여 그 정성적인 설명이 가능하다.

HWE 방법에 의한 $AgGaS_2$단결정 박막성장과 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the growth and characteristics of $AgGaS_2$ single crystal thin film by hot wall epitaxy)

  • 수평 전기로에서 $AgGaS_2$ 다결정을 합성하여 HWE 방법으로 $AgGaS_2$ 단결정 박막을 성장하였다. $AgGaS_2$ 단결정 박막을 성잘할 때 증발원과 기판의 온도를 각각 $590^{\circ}C$, $440^{\circ}C$로 성장하였을 때 이중결정 X-선 요동곡선(double crystal X-ray diffraction rocking curve, DCRC)의 반폭치(FWHM)값이 124 arcsec로 가장 작아 최적 성장조건이었다. 상온에서 $AgGaS_2$ 단결정 박막의 광흡수 특성으로부터 에너지 띠간격이 2.61cV였다. Band edge에 해당하는 광전도도 peak의 온도 의존성은 Varshni 관계식으로 설명되었으며, Vaeshni 관계식의 상수값은 Eg(0) = 2.7284eV, $\alpha$= 8.695$\times$10-4 eV/K, $\beta$= 332K 로 주어졌다. 광발광 봉우리는 20K에서 414.3nm(2.9926eV)와 414.1nm(2.7249eV)는 free exciton(Ex)의 upper polariton과 lower polariton인 {{{{{E}`_{x} ^{u} }}}}와 {{{{{E}`_{x} ^{L} }}}}, 423.6nm(2.9269eV)는 bound exciton emission에 의한 I로 관측되었다. 또한 455nm(2.7249eV)의 peak는 donor-acceptor pair(DAP)에 기인하는 광발광 봉우리로 관측되었다.
