Purpose: This study was conducted to develop and test the effects of a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) education program for nursing students. Methods: This study used a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A total of 71 undergraduate nursing students who had completed a fundamental nursing course and were in their third or fourth year of university participated in this study (experimental group n=38, control group n=33). The COVID-19 education program was developed according to the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The program consisted of three weekly sessions that each lasted about two hours. The data were collected from February 26 to March 26, 2022 and were analyzed using the chi-squared, Fisher's exact, and independent t-tests. Results: Knowledge about COVID-19, knowledge about personal protective equipment and attitudes toward COVID-19 were not significantly different between the experimental and control groups. However, significant differences were found between the experimental and control groups regarding their confidence in COVID-19 patient nursing care (t=3.02, p=.004). Conclusion: It was confirmed that the developed program was effective in enhancing the confidence of nursing students in performing nursing for COVID-19. Therefore, it is proposed that the education program developed in this study be used as part of an infection control education program to improve nursing students' abilities to respond to emerging infectious diseases, including COVID-19.

COVID-19 has been affecting the library, not to mention society as a whole. Especially, there are many changes in the role and service of the university libraries as all the classes of the universities are turned into non-face-to-face and the use of the university libraries is restricted. The changes in users' use of information and communication behavior due to COVID-19 could be an opportunity for new utilization of human and material resources the university libraries have and for the development of services. However, on the contrary, the university libraries could face another crisis if they fail to respond appropriately to current changes. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp, analyze the impact of COVID-19 and plan how to respond. A survey on the effects of COVID-19 and the response of the university libraries and the perceptions of the university libraries found that most university libraries are responding appropriately to COVID-19. However, a survey on the perceptions of the present and future of the university libraries under COVID-19 showed that many survey respondents think COVID-19 would have a negative impact on the university libraries. This means that the changes caused by COVID-19 are causing a crisis and anxiety in the university libraries. Therefore, by working hard together, the university libraries need to present the university libraries' new role, service and direction in the post-COVID-19 era as well as responding to the current situation.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in trade and industry of Korea and suggest implications from the perspective of global value chains following the spread of COVID-19. To this end, products for prevention of epidemics which is directly related to COVID-19 and IT industries with high GVC participation were analyzed. Due to the spread of COVID-19, the variation in import and export of products for prevention of epidemics was large. In the case of masks, import and export of final goods changed drastically, but the change in intermediate goods was not significant relatively. Korea's IT industry has been differentiated according to major trading partners amid overall changes in GVCs which is summarized as higher forward participation and lower backward participation. While no particular change resulted from COVID-19 has yet been made directly, the need for diversification strategies should be taken into account at a time when the production links with China and Vietnam are close and the dependence on trade with these countries is high. The COVID-19 is still in progress, requiring corporate strategies and policy efforts to respond to changes in GVCs in the post-COVID-19 era.
This study conducted a survey using Google Survey targeting 415 college students over the age of 20 to investigate college students' perceptions of the COVID-19 vaccine. As a result, the average result of 'I think the COVID-19 vaccination is necessary' for herd immunity was 3.90, and 65.8% of the 'necessity of vaccination' recognized the 'necessity of vaccination', but 35.4% negatively evaluated 'the safety of the vaccine'. showed. As for the intention to vaccinate against COVID-19, 34.7% said 'I will vaccinate as soon as the order arrives'. This showed that the current COVID-19 vaccination is not positive. As the reasons for not wanting to be vaccinated, 65.3% answered 'adverse reaction to the vaccine' and 25.8% 'distrust of the vaccine itself'. In addition, they perceived the vaccine supply between developed and underdeveloped countries as unequal, and the average was 3.94, indicating that they were afraid of adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine. Therefore, in order to more effectively acquire information about the COVID-19 vaccine, research, platform development, and education on publicity methods through the media frequently used by college students are required.
This study was performed to identify the factors affecting 'the organizational culture for infection control', 'the resource support', 'the knowledge about COVID-19', and 'the resilience' among hospital nurses on the performance of COVID-19 infection control. A total of 150 nurses, registered in Korea, participated in the current study. The data were collected through self-report questionnaires. From 27th July to 10th August, 2022, 147 questionnairesout of 150 were collected. In multiple regression analysis, 'the resource support', 'the knowledge about COVID-19' and 'the resilience' were analyzed as significant factors in performing of the infection control for COVID-19 (β = 0.68, p < .001, β = 0.12, p = .023 and β = 0.20, p = .005 respectively). For improving the nurses' performance of infection control against Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19) during the pandemic, it is necessary to develop and evaluate the programs through the organizational support and strategies to improve individual knowledge.
This paper reviews the Interpretative Guidelines on EU passenger rights regulations in the context of the developing situation with COVID-19 of EU commission. To enlighten the obscurity and to mitigate the economic impacts of the COVID-19, European Commission has published "Interpretative Guidelines on EU passenger rights regulations in the context of the developing situation with Covid-19" on March 18, 2020. The Guideline essentially aims to create a coherent system of rules to assist the passengers, industry and national authorities overall under the unprecedented circumstances across the European Union. To do so, the Guideline is drafted to cover the rights of passengers travelling by air, rail, ship or bus/coach, maritime and inland waterways, as well as the corresponding obligations for carriers. From an aviation industry focused perspective, by referencing the Regulation (EC) numbered 261/2004, the Guideline specifically applies to cancellation and delay in flights which are seen as the dark spots for the air carriers concerning potential burdens.

By defining a travel disparity based on the degree to which travelers diversify their destinations, this paper examines how socioeconomic and spatial factors affect the travel disparity among the elderly in Seoul. This paper uses the COVID-19 pandemic as a natural experiment which can bring about different behavioral responses among the older travelers. Using the smart card data, we compare the destination diversification patterns before and after the pandemic. In the early morning(4:30-9:00), the degree of destination diversification varies between the core and the periphery and this trend persists through the pandemic. In the late morning(9:00-12:00), a new trend of disparity appeared after the pandemic. Although those who hold higher socioeconomic status and live closer to the core have a larger range of choices for destinations, the difference of range did not lead to differences in diversification before the pandemic, due to the discretionary nature of the elderly's trip. In contrast, as the elderly were forced to search alternative destinations right after the outbreak of the pandemic, the range of choices became an important factor causing observable differences in destination diversification. The findings suggest that the travel disparity observed during the pandemic is due to the difference in the range of choices by socioeconomic and spatial factors.
This study aimed to identify the change in the public perception of "bats" after the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Text mining and network analysis were conducted for blog posts, the largest social network in Korea. We collected 9,241 Naver blog posts from 2019 to 2020 just before the outbreak of COVID-19 in Korea. The data were analyzed with Python and NetMiner 4.3.2, and the public's perception of bats was examined through the relationship of keywords by period. Findings indicated that the frequency of bat keywords in 2020 increased more than 25 times compared to 2019, and the centrality value increased more than three times. The perception of bats changed before and after the outbreak of the pandemic. Prior to COVID-19, bats were highly recognized as a species of wildlife while in the first half of 2020, they were strongly considered as a threat to human society in relation to infectious diseases and health. In the second half of 2020, it was confirmed that the area of interest in bats expanded as the proportion of ecological and cultural types ofresearch increased. This study seeks to contribute to the expansion and direction of future research in bats by understanding the public's interest in the potential impact of the species as disease hosts post the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government's social distancing policy and concerns about COVID-19 are increasing restrictions on outdoor leisure activities. Based on the decrease in outdoor leisure activities and the increase in indoor leisure activities, The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between the degree of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and the number of VOD views. This study conducted a time series analysis for 348 days from February 18, 2020 to January 31, 2021. Data were collected from the number of daily VOD views provided by the Korean Film Council and the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 provided by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The analysis showed that the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has a significantly positive effect on the number of daily movie VOD views at the 5% significance level. This results indicate that the more confirmed cases of COVID-10, the more people watch movie VOD as indoor leisure activities. While previous studies examined the relationship between the confirmed cases of COVID-19 and indoor leisure activities in general, this study tried to academically contribute by analyzing the impact on specific indoor leisure activities. The practical implications of this study are as follows. The results of this study show that efficient promotions are possible based on significant social issues, such as infectious diseases. According to the results, promotions that respond quickly to changes are more effective than long-term promotions considering the climate or seasons. Due to the limitations of the data, the current study was conducted based only on PPV, but future research should also consider various billing forms such as PPM and SVOD.

This study attempted to provide the basic data for developing a system to identify the role of medical technologists and ensure an efficient response for quick and accurate diagnostic tests in the COVID-19 era. The research method involved using focus group interviews for a survey and analysis of 15 medical institutions. Eleven sample collection institutions, 10.4 medical technologists, 2.1 minutes of collection time, 5.4 hours of test time, 9,670 tests, 6.2 member test workforce size, and 7 screening center operating institutions were surveyed. The results of the focus group interview analysis revealed that there were no standardized guidelines covering working hours, area, and environment to protect sample collectors and testers in relation to the COVID-19 tests. Also, legal protection measures were insufficient in the event of accidental infections and there were no personnel regulations related to COVID-19. In addition, the professional training of sample collectors and molecular diagnostic testers was required for reliable COVID-19 testing. In conclusion, it is necessary to provide professional education through special test short-term training institutions to cope with emergency infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Legal systems should be put in place to protect the workforce and ensure stability.
