This paper proposes a combined plastic and creep constitutive model of A533B1 pressure vessel steel to simulate progressive deformation of nuclear pressure vessels under severe accident conditions. To develop the model, recent tensile test data covering a wide range of temperatures (from RT to 1,100 ℃) and strain rates (from 0.001%/s to 1.0%/s) was used. Comparison with experimental data confirms that the proposed combined plastic and creep model can well reflect effects of temperature and strain rate on tensile behaviour up to failure. In the companion paper (Part II), the proposed model will be used to simulate OECD lower head failure (OLHF) test data.

To protect the surface of ground-cutting slopes and ground-raised slopes and to recover environment-friendly slopes at the national road expansion construction between Gamchon and Yaechon, test-construction work was done using several modes of hydro-seeding measures to select a suitable construction method through the field survey; the results were as follows : As a result of survey on physio-chemical characteristics of soil, the average soil inclination on ground-raised slopes was from 4.73 mm to 5.37 mm; the average soil acidity was from pH 6.47 to 6.73; the average soil humidity was within the scope of 0.57~1.70 %,; the average soil inclination on ground-cutting slopes was 9.17~10.43mm; the average soil acidity was pH 6.67~6.77 and the average soil humidity was within the scope of 0.53~1.27 %; considered overall, they showed generally satisfactory base materials for plant breeding. As a result of the number of sprouting individuals, the average sprouting number of individuals on test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray construction methods and the average number of sprouting individuals on other test spots executed by furrow-digging with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures were 1,172 number of per square meter and 970 number of per square meter respectively; thus they showed higher numerical value comparing with other test spots. Likewise, the average number of sprouting individuals on test spots of the ground-cutting slopes executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and the average number of sprouting individuals on other test spot executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures were found to be 1,107 number of per square meter and 1,105 number of per square meter respectively, whose numerical value showed rather higher other test spots. As a result of a survey on living plants' breeding index [dried weight], the weight in dried state on test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and other test spots executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures on both ground-raised and ground-cutting slopes was found to be higher and showed similar characteristics statistically. As a result of survey on the surface-covering degree of ground-raised slopes, nine weeks after test construction, test spots executed by Coir net with Seed spray method and other test spots executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures showed commonly more than 70% of surface-covering degree, but other test spots showed only below 35% of surface covering degree; especially in case of test spots by Verdvol seed spray measures, they showed 10% of the lowest surface-covering. Surface-covering degree on the test spot of ground-cutting slopes nine weeks after test construction showed more than 75% both executed by Coir net with Seed spray construction method and executed by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures. As a result of survey on appearing plants on the test spots, there dominates Eragrostis curvula both on ground-raised slopes and on ground-cutting slopes with other seeding plant life's lower breeding and there appear intruders, such as Setaria viridis Beauv, Digitaria sanguinalis Scop, and Chenopodium album var.centrorubrum Makino. As for water-borne excavation and soil's washing-away on the slopes, there happened less washing-away and water-borne excavation with good breeding of plant life on test spots executed both by Coir net with Seed spray construction method and by furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures, but there happened much more soil's washing-away along with water-home excavation at the test spot executed by Seed spray with measures. After the research results of test construction sites are examined overall, it's presumed that furrow-digger with Seed spray and Straw mat-mulching measures [interval between lines is 40cm, 5cm in depth] will be preferred to prevent erosion and water-home excavation of slopes located within the construction sites.

Forensic engineering is the application of engineering principles covering the investigation of constructed facilities and systems that fail to perform as intended, causing personal injury or damage to property, environmental, economy etc. In the year 2012, two collapsed accidents of the large scaffolding system in national thermal power station occurred one after another, causing many casualties. In this study, we had performed to investigate the collapsed accident of scaffolding system occurred in the a thermal power station of two accidents. First, the investigation about the collapsed accidents site had performed to understand collapsed state and structures of the scaffolding system. Second, reviewing the materials concerning about the applied weight on the scaffolding system had performed. The applied weight is sum of the weights of the 15 workers, additional materials for coating work and dispersed and loaded shot ball on the foothold etc. the applied weight that calculated exceed more three times than the safe working load. Third, we had confirmed the install state of the materials of the scaffolding system by reviewing the quantity of the materials on the manual and the real system. Last, structural analysis had performed to evaluate structural integrity of the scaffolding system using Ansys. Through a series of this processes, the definite accidents causes of the collapsed scaffolding system revealed. Through these studies, the collapse accident that may occur in the scaffolding system in thermal power station can be minimized by performing specialized and systematic investigation on the accidents in terms of Forensic engineering.

In this work, we report synthesis of free-standing ZnO/Zn core-shell micro-polyhedrons using metal Zn pellets as a source material by the thermal chemical vapor deposition process. Scanning and transmission electron microscopy measurements were introduced to investigate morphologies and structural properties of as-grown ZnO/Zn core-shell micro-polyhedrons. It was found that micro-polyhedrons were composed of inner single-crystalline metal Zn surrounded by single-crystalline ZnO nanorod arrays. The inner single crystalline metal Zn with micro-scale diameter has a hexagonal crystal structure. Diameter and height of ZnO nanorods covering the metal Zn surface are below 10 nm and 100 nm, respectively. It was also confirmed that c-axis oriented ZnO nanorods are single crystalline with a hexagonal crystal structure.
The conversion of all carbon preforms to dense SiC by liquid infiltration can become a low-cost and reliable method to form SiC-Si composites of complex shape and high density. Reactive sintered silicon carbide (RBSC) is prepared by covering Si powder on top of 0.5-5.0 wt% Y2O3-added carbon preforms at 1,450 and 1,500℃ for 2 hours; samples are analyzed to determine densification. Reactive sintering from the Y2O3-free carbon preform causes Si to be pushed to one side and cracking defects occur. However, when prepared from the Y2O3-added carbon preform, an SiC-Si composite in which Si is homogeneously distributed in the SiC matrix without cracking can be produced. Using the Si + C = SiC reaction, 3C and 6H of SiC, crystalline Si, and Y2O3 phases are detected by XRD analysis without the appearance of graphite. As the content of Y2O3 in the carbon preform increases, the prepared RBSC accelerates the SiC conversion reaction, increasing the density and decreasing the pores, resulting in densification. The dense RBSC obtained by reaction sintering at 1,500 ℃ for 2 hours from a carbon preform with 2.0 wt% Y2O3 added has 0.20 % apparent porosity and 96.9 % relative density.
New techniques, technologies, and materials should be used to design and build sports stadiums. Since this century, much progress has been made in covering the roofs of sports stadiums, and the possibility of accurate computer calculation has been provided for stadiums, so by choosing a new structure, we can double the beauty and resistance of these stadiums. A stadium has an excellent and valuable design when its structure, shell, building, materials, and joinery follow a high architectural idea at all levels and scales. This article examines the mechanical performance of polymer cement strength in the construction of football stadiums, along with their structural knowledge in the form of the best examples in the world. Portland cement is one of the most used materials for constructing football stadiums. However, its production requires spending a lot of money, wasting energy, and damaging the environment. Considering the disadvantages in the production and consumption of concrete in different environments, it is necessary to find alternative materials. It should be used with cheaper, simpler technology, abundant primary resources, energy saving, less environmental damage, and better chemical and physical properties in concrete. High-strength concrete technology is considered a new development in the construction industry of concrete structures. In hardened concrete, strength and durability are two main factors, and as the compressive strength of concrete increases, concrete becomes more brittle. As a result, its tensile strength does not increase in proportion to the increase in compressive strength and has less strain tolerance. For this reason, the need to use is evident from the fibers in high-strength concrete. Fibers are used in concrete to increase tensile strength, prevent crack propagation, and significantly increase softness. The increase with the change of these resistances depends on the strength of concrete without fibers, the shape of fibers, and the percentage of fibers. This cement is obtained from the wastes of chemical and petrochemical industries and the wastes from coal combustion, which have the properties mentioned as substitutes for Portland cement.
Olivine is a complete solid solution of fayalite and forsterite that is abundant in Earth and extraterrestrial materials such as rocky planets, meteorites, asteroids, and interplanetary dust. Due to the wide range of olivine compositions, diverse olivine standards are required for quantitative mineralogical analysis of olivine-bearing materials. Olivine standards were synthesized using an electric furnace and stainless steel tubes at temperatures ranging from 1000~1100 ℃. Overall, olivine was synthesized covering the full range of composition, with some synthetic impurities and unreacted material. The synthesized olivine showed a linear increase in the unit cell dimension in proportion to the molar ratio of fayalite in the starting materials, and the diffraction intensity was consistent with that of natural olivine. However, iron-rich synthetic olivine samples tend to have a higher content of impurity, suggesting that not all synthetic olivine can be used as a standard material yet, and improvements in the synthesis process, such as using high purity starting materials and control of reaction time and temperature, are required.

The study was performed to evaluate thermal insulation covering materials (TICMs) to protect peach trunks against freezing temperatures in winter season by investigating thermo-physical properties and practical thermal insulation effect of the TICMs which was made of white non-woven fabrics, yellow paper sheets, and waterproof fabric pads. Among the three TICMs, Waterproof fabric pad (double layer) possessed the best performance about thermal insulation rate and thermal resistance among three kinds of TICMs. Day thermal insulation effects of waterproof fabric pad, which prevent from temperature rise on the bark tissues of trunks during the day time, were $14.09^{\circ}C$. Night thermal insulation effects of them, which prevent from temperature decline on the bark tissues of trunks at night time, were $7.23^{\circ}C$. Waterproof fabric pad showed the highest day and night thermal insulation effects. Thus our results suggest that development of TICMs using waterproof fabric pad might be helpful to protect the bark tissues of trunks from freezing injury.
This study aimed at examining the effect of rooms decorated by eco-friendly finishing materials in a newly built wooden house on the emission of indoor air pollutions. According to the results of examination, the levels of benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and styrene in all the rooms were below criteria of indoor air quality of newly-constructed houses. The levels of natural volatile organic compounds (NVOC), anthropogenic volatile organic compounds (AVOC) and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) in room R1-1 which had Hwangto wall covering on it, were relatively higher than in room phytoncide wallpaper covered R2-1. The room R2-2 where bamboo charcoal panel used for wall covering showed higher level of AVOC compared to the room R1-2. Living room R1-3 was found to contain less TVOC, compared to the other four rooms. In addition, the ratio of NVOC to TVOC in the living room was higher than in the other rooms. This seemed to be attributed to Cryptomeria Japonica the living room finished material.

During the growth of fruit vegetables such as pepper, cucumber and tomato, there are light deficiency under the plant canopy. This study was conducted to clarify the effect of light diffusion film on the stem growth, canopy, flowering and fruiting of green pepper in greenhouse. The transmittance of total solar radiation into greenhouse under woven and double films were 90% and 75% of polyethylene film. And the transmittance of photosynthetically active radiation into greenhouse under woven and double films were 96% and 81% of polyethylene film. However, the light diffusions under woven, double and polyethylene films were 46%, 31% and 9%, respectively. The plant height under polyethylene film covered greenhouse was 96.9% cm, taller than those under woven and double films by 6.5, 13.9 cm. And the third node length under woven film covered greenhouse was 8.6 cm, shorter than those under double and polyethylene films by 2.5, 5.7 cm. Also the first branch angle under woven film covered greenhouse was 61.0$^{\circ}$, larger than those under double and polyethylene films by 2.3, 10.3$^{\circ}$. But there was no clear difference in the node numbers among the covering materials. The rate of curved and sterile fruit under woven film covered greenhouse was smaller than those under double and polyethylene films by 4.6, 5.5% and 1.2, 3.6%. But the contents of vitamin C showed no difference among the covering materials and plant densities.
