  • In this paper, an efficient reversible watermarking algorithm is proposed. By using the proposed algorithm, it is possible to increase the amount of copyright-related information to be embedded in cover image. Depending on the spatial locality and surface characteristics, it is possible to precisely predict the pixel value using neighboring pixels. If the predicted pixel value almost the same as the pixel value of the cover image, the differential value between the predicted pixel value and the pixel value of cover image is very small. So, the frequency is increased greatly at the peak point of histogram of difference sequence. Thus, it is possible to increase greatly the amount of secret data to be embedded in cover image. The experimental results show that the proposed watermarking algorithm is superior to the previous algorithms.

  • An efficient reversible data hiding algorithm was proposed in this paper. The original image can be recovered from the stego-image without distortion during the embedded data are extracted from the stego-image. The embedding data are greater than that of the previous algorithm and the PSNR value of the stego-image is guaranteed to be greater than 48dB. The performance of the proposed algorithm was proved by experimental results.

  • Image steganography is one of the key types of steganography where a message to be sent is hidden inside the cover image. The most commonly used techniques for image steganography rely on LSB steganography. In this paper, a novel image steganography technique based on blocks matrix determinant method is proposed. Under this method, a cover image is divided into blocks of size $2{\times}2$ pixels and the determinant of each block is calculated. The comparison of the determinant values and corresponding data bits yields a delicate way for the embedment of data bits. The main aim of the proposed technique is to ensure concealment of secret data inside an image without affecting the cover image quality. When the proposed steganography method is compared with other existing LSB steganography methods, it is observed that it not only provides higher PSNR, lower MSE but also guarantees better quality of the stego image.

  • A lot of data hiding schemes have been proposed to embed secret data in the plain cover images or compressed images of various formats, including JPEG, AMBTC, VQ, etc. In this paper, we propose a production process of mosaic images based on three regular images of coffee beans. A primary image is first mimicked by the process to produce a mosaic cover image. A two-layer steganography is applied to hide secret data in the mosaic image. Based on the low visual quality of the mosaic cover image, its PSNR value can be improved about 1.5 dB after embedding 3 bpp. This is achieved by leveraging the newly proposed polarized search mask and the concepts of strong embedding and weak embedding. Applying steganography to the mosaic cover images is a completely new idea and it is promising.

  • In this paper, an advanced reversible data hiding algorithm which takes the advantage of the spatial locality in image was proposed. Natural image has a spatial locality. The pixel value of a natural image is similar to the values of neighboring pixels. So, using the neighboring pixel values, it is possible to precisely predict the pixel value. Frequency increases significantly at the peak point of the difference histogram using the predicted values. Therefore, it is possible to increase the amount of data to be embedded. By using the proposed algorithm, visually high quality stego-image can be generated, the original cover image and the embedded data can be extracted from the stego-image without distortion. The embedding data into the cover image of the proposed algorithm is much lager than that of the previous algorithm. The performance of the proposed algorithm was verified by experiment. The proposed algorithm is very useful for the reversible data hiding.

  • This paper proposes a novel watermarking method to discover the tampers and localize it in digital image. The image which is to be used to generate a watermark is first wavelet decomposed and the edge feature from the sub bands of high frequency coefficients are retrieved to generate a watermark (Edge Feature Image) and which is to be embed on the cover image. Before embedding the watermark, the pixels of cover image are disordered through the Arnold Transform and this helps to upgrade the security of the watermark. The embedding of generated edge feature image is done only on the Least Significant Bit (LSB) of the cover image. The invisibleness and robustness of the proposed method is computed using Peak-Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Normalized Correlation (NC) and it proves that the proposed method delivers good results and the proposed method also detects and localizes the tampers efficiently. The invisibleness of proposed method is compared with the existing method and it proves that the proposed method is better.

  • Generative AI technology, which represents the artificial intelligence era, is developing faster than any other field in image production and is being applied to practice. The purpose of this study is to explore various ways to use Generative AI by deriving the characteristics and types of Generative AI use cases of book cover design among visual design fields. The research method investigated the concept of Generative AI and the current status of use in the field of visual design through literature. Based on this, the book cover design cases were analyzed using the Generative AI currently published, and design characteristics and types were derived. As a result of the study, Generative AI book cover design could be divided into two characteristics: 'Indirect Expression' and 'Direct Expression' and three types: 'Image Transfer', 'Image Transformation', and 'Image Expansion'. Future uses of generative AI in book cover design will need to understand the format of the book, be able to describe a lot of knowledge and experience for prompting, and generate a lot of images for inspiration. Numerous Generative AI tools exist today. In the future, it should be the basis for designers to effectively handle Generative AI by analyzing commercial outcomes created by Generative AI in various design fields to create creative outcomes that can be used in practice beyond the use of tools.

  • In this paper, watermark embedding technique was proposed to securely conceal the watermark in color cover image by applying the spatial encryption technique. The embedded watermak can be extracted from stego-image without loss. The quality of the stego-image is very good. So it is not possible to visually distinguish the difference between the original cover image and the stego-image. The validity of the proposed technique was verified by mathematical analysis. The proposed watermark embedding technique can be used for intellectual property protection, military, and medical applications that require high security.

  • The accuracy of rural land cover using airborne multispectral images and LEAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data was analyzed. Multispectral image consists of three bands in green, red and near infrared. Intensity image was derived from the first returns of LIDAR, and vegetation height image was calculated by difference between elevation of the first returns and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) derived from the last returns of LIDAR. Using maximum likelihood classification method, three bands of multispectral images, LIDAR vegetation height image, and intensity image were employed for land cover classification. Overall accuracy of classification using all the five images was improved to 85.6% about 10% higher than that using only the three bands of multispectral images. The classification accuracy of rural land cover map using multispectral images and LIDAR images, was improved with clear difference between heights of different crops and between heights of crop and tree by LIDAR data and use of LIDAR intensity for land cover classification.
