A cracking failure of a austenitic stainless steel elbow in a naphtha cracking line in a petrochenmical plant occurred, resulting in leakage of organic compound flowing inside the elbow. Due to the failure, emergency shutdown of the plant was enforced to repair the troubled part of the line. The repair cost as well as production loss during the unscheduled plant shutdown has cost the company a great amount of financial loss. In this studies, a failure analysis of the cracked elbow was performed using NDT, chemical analysis, microstructural analysis including optical microscopy as well as scanning electron microscopy with EPMA, mechanical testings such as tensile testing, hardness testing and Charphy impact test fractography. The results indicated that several problems such as a welding defect and presence of a detrimental phase which was found to be relate to improper postforming heat treatment process was identified and the failure was concluded to be due to a low temperature embrittlement of the defect-containing elbows.

The purpose of this study is to propose the efficient improvement in the lawsuit to request the guarantee against defect. This study points out several problems about related act and subordinate statue and judgement by analyzing the character of contract in apartment house, related laws and regulations, appraisals and judicial decisions. This study deduces the necessity of the establishment of the specification and the breakdown cost for repair and maintenance work to provide the standard for the detached judgement.

Recently, as the living standards of residents in apartment houses continued to improve, the dispute of post management have also increased. one of the Issue, Concrete Cracks comprised high percentage of dispute. Especially, between criteria the cost of repairing defect and the judgement of defect isn't clear, they are a lot of dispute in this regard. Even though lots of the criteria about Inter-layer crack is existed by judging defects, In a court, they are judging their own criteria about Inter-layer crack. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze Defect Judement Standard both MOLIT and Court, and to provide the Improvement for Defect Judgement and Repair Method of Inter-layer concrete crack.

우리나라는 공동주택 관리에 관한 규칙에 의거하여 하자보수 보증금을 예치하고 이를 기반으로 공동주택 입주자들의 하자보수 요구에 대응하고 있다. 현재 민간주택사업자들의 경우 막대한 시간과 비용을 들여 구축한 자사의 브랜드 이미지 고수를 위하여 자신들이 건설한 주택의 품질확보 및 A/S에 큰 노력을 기울이고 있다. 그러나 현재 하자보수에 투입되는 비용중에는 순수한 하자보수에 투입되는 비용이외에 단지내 미화 등 입주민들의 비합리적인 요구사항에 투입되는 비용 또한 있는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 39개단 단지를 대상으로 하자보수에 투입되었던 실적자료를 근거로 실제로 하자보수에 투입된 하자성비용과 단지내 미화 등 하자보수와 연관성이 적은 기타비용인 민원성 비용의 사용실태를 분석하였다. 분석결과 하자성비용과 민원성 비용이 거의 비슷한 비율을 차지하고 있으며, 민원성비용이 오히려 높은 결과를 보였다. 이러한 분석결과는 입주자들의 비합리적인 요구 및 주택사업자들의 근시안적인 대처에 기안하는 것으로 사료된다.

The length of city gas pipeline is increasing with expansion of natural gas transmission rapidly. A lot of the expense was paid for repair and maintenance with increasing of pipeline length and the cost of repair and maintenance by the corrosion was the highest. It is necessary to evaluate integrity in case of thickness reduction by corrosion. There are a lot of assessment criteria for corrosion defect in foreign countries but they are not suitable for application in the country directly. In this work, we performed the burst test and the finite element analysis for city gas pipeline, KS D3507 and KS D3631 for city gas transmission, and developed the assessment method of corrosion defect, which is suitable for domestic condition.

Defect dispute in apartment building has become a debating social issue. The system of defect lawsuit and the conciliation process are applicable to solve defect problems in South Korea. Among various defects, painting work defect is a critical issue because it requires large area works and entails a lot of cost. Accordingly, disputes on work procedure and cost calculation are argued oftenly between residents and housing providers. This study reviewed detailed main issues of painting work and propose relevant systems and standards. In this analysis, the main issues are categorized into pre-works, main work, and others. The most recent cases are compared and analyzed for each issue. After the analysis, following conclusions are obtained, (1) In defect lawsuit system, even though surface treatment work in pre-work step is part of main work, it has been separated and regarded as a separate work. (2) Although the main painting work are not significantly different from two systems, it is still necessary to achieve a consensus to close the gap in the methodology of painting area calculation and determining whole painting or partial painting. (3) In addition, unlike the profit rate of general construction works, that of painting work remained the maximum rate and additional charge rate for works carried out in higher place are different among cases. Therefore, it is determined that establishing consistent standards is urgent.

There are main issues of defect type that condensation, concrete crack and noise in apartment buildings. Especially, according to the Apartment Defect Dispute Mediation Committee in Korea (ADDMC) at Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport in Korea (MLIT), condensation defects are great importance (14 percent) on whole number of reported cases of faults from 2015 in Korea. Most condensation defects have many different causes that take a toll on the resident's life and space. So it is very important to early detection and repair. For preventing the condensation in apartment buildings, there are building codes in Korea such as 'Standard of Method and Judgment for Apartment defect of investigation, Repair cost Estimate'. This research aims to study on the improvement of preventing the condensation aforementioned korea standard. Types and characteristics (opaque wall, windows, doors) of cause of occurrence and existing state condensation defect is analyzed from evaluation of real application 100 case in 2015 ADDMC data.

최근 30년 이상 노후화된 국내 인프라의 증가로 한정된 예산 내에서 인프라 유지관리를 위한 정확한 유지관리 비용산출과 그에 따른 적절한 예산분배의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 교량의 대표적인 결함과 이에 대한 보수보강 공법들을 매칭하고 유지보수에 필요한 비용을 산정하였다. 표준품셈과 BMS (Bridge Management System) 데이터 분석을 통해 교량의 보수보강 공법을 분류하였으며, 결함의 위치와 종류, 크기에 따라 결함-공법을 매칭하였다. 그리고 표준품셈을 기준으로 단위당 작업량과 물량을 계산하여 노무비, 경비, 재료비를 구분하여 산출하였다. 서울시 교량 유지보수 내역서와 비교를 통해 평균 예측 정확도가 85.1 %가 나왔으며, 결함의 간단한 조건을 통해 유지보수 비용을 파악할 수 있다. 향후 현장 조건을 고려한 장비 및 야간작업 여부를 추가하여 더 높은 유지보수 비용을 파악할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study analyzed the actual use of defect deposits for financing long-term expenses (that is, expenses incurred within 4-10 years of building completion) and for financing short-term expenses (that is, expenses incurred within 3 years of building completion). Therefore, 36 cost data on the expenses financed out of defect deposits for apartment complexes were collected from construction companies and analyzed using statistical methods. The findings revealed that 62.6 percent of defect deposits were spent to resolve actual defects, and 37.4 percent were spent resolving resident complaints. Furthermore, these results are valid regardless of the location of the complexes. As such, these results could be of significance when establishing or revising regulations regarding the repair of the long-term defects of apartment complexes.

TFT-LCD panel makers have been enlarging size of TV screens, and 50-inch TFT-LCD is one of the main stream products already. To have more improved resolution, productivity and lower manufacturing cost, new TFT-LCD factories adopt large mother glass, new TFT structure and new process/materials. Along with these technology evolution, laser repair system should equip with upgraded performance and additional functions on user's demand. Laser repair technology is reviewed and newly developed repair technology is being introduced.
