It is understood that carriers evaluate several features of ports when fixing the T/S port. Those features can be enumerated as Geographic condition of port, Service network with overseas ports, Level of port productivity, Port infrastructure, Port services level, Port Authority's Policy direction mand Cost competitiveness. The objectives of this study are to: 1) determine if those factors could affect the T/S competitiveness of the port; and 2) to evaluate how Busan port conforms to those determinants factors in such extent. According to results of the analysis after surveying National global carrier, Intra-Asia carriers, Global overseas carriers, Terminal operators, and Busan Port Authority known to be highly influential samples, all factors were proven to be factors affecting the T/S competitiveness of the port. Meanwhile, in the analysis through AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology about the order of weight among those factors, Cost competitiveness was answered as the most important factor. On the other hand, in the analysis to find the situation if Busan port conforms to those factors, Busan port was proven to satisfy those conditions to a moderate extent. In the analysis about the order of strength among those factors, Busan port was answered to have the highest strength in the geographic condition. However, it showed the bottom level of strength in the Cost competitiveness which was answered as the most important factor among samples for determining the T/S competitiveness of the port. This indicates that Government and Port Authority of Busan have to concentrate policy capabilities on the improvement of cost competitiveness of Busan port to enhance the T/S competitiveness. In this paper, four policy recommendations are given : Integration of Busan port operation into New port, Combining multiple operators into one or a few, Attracting Global mega carriers as the New port terminal operators, and Continuous Infrastructure expansion.

In order to draw indirect cost rates, theories of indirect cost were investigated, and recent field data were collected from steel factories. As a result, it was found that the ratio of indirect labor productivity compared to the direct labor ratio was approximately 17% and the ratio of indirect cost compared to direct cost was approximately 93%. Furthermore, 'The economy of construction industry' and 'size of steel factory' were found to be influence factors of the indirect cost ratio.

물류비에 관한 연구는 물류비를 구성하고 있는 요소들의 복잡성만큼 물류비를 산출하고, 특성을 분석하는 것에 많은 노력이 요구된다. 이러한 이유로 물류비 산출은 정부차원의 조사에서 많이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 물류비의 산출기준이 명확하지 않고 또한 물류비 항목별 비율을 조사하는데도 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되는 게 사실이다. SCM 주체의 확대에 따라 물류비를 결정하는 요인들 또한 다양해 졌으며, 기업환경의 변화로 인해 물류비 영향요인들의 변화가 있어왔다. 따라서 물류비에 대한 연구는 물류비를 구성하고 있는 요소들의 세분화와 이들의 특성을 구분하여 접근해야 한다. 물류비의 구성요소는 그 기업이 처해있는 상황이나 여건에 의해 이를 구성하는 요소들이 달라질 수 있거나 요소들의 특성이 구분되기 때문이다. 이러한 특성의 분석과 원인에 대한 분석 없이 무조건적으로 수송비나 보관비와 같은 요소절약 전략은 기업의 특성에 맞지 않는 대안이 될 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 물류비 구성요소별 특성 분석을 바탕으로 하여 물류비 산정과 물류비 절감 노력에 기초적으로 가정하고 고려해야 하는 부분들에 대한 연구에 목적을 둔다.

The most important factors for a product to survive in the market are cost and quality. In recent years, quality proceeds to cost. There are many techniques of use to improve the quality of a product. One of the techniques is applying statistical methods (especially Taguchi method) to real operational conditions for a continuous manufacturing process in P company. There are 91 factors to control in the process. So, we predetermined 7 main effect factors and 6 interactive effect factors by statistical methods and advices of engineers. With these 13 factors, we determined the optimal level of operations for the process.

The objectives of this study were to investigate how the types of awareness of cost and benefit of consumer complaining behavior about the private educational institute services were classified, how different demographic and consumer complaining rebated characteristics were according to the types of awareness of cost and benefit about consumer complaining behavior, and what were the determinant factors of the types of awareness of cost and benefit about consumer complaining behavior. The survey of this study was conducted by means of self-administered questionnaire with 546 university students living in Seoul and Cheongjoo. They had an experience of studying in the private educational institute in recent two years. Major findings were as following: (1) The types of awareness of cost and benefit of consumer complaining behavior about the private educational institute services were classified into four - awareness of high cost and low benefit, high cost and high benefit, low cost and medium benefit, medium cost and medium benefit. (2) The attitude about complaints, the confidence of success about complaint, and the knowledge about complaints were different significantly according to the types of awareness of cost and benefit about consumer complaining behavior. (3) The types of awareness of cost and benefit about consumer complaining behavior were different significantly according to only a school year among demographic characteristics. (4) The determinant factors of the types of awareness of cost and benefit about consumer complaining behavior were the attitude about complaints, the confidence of success about complaints, the knowledge about complaints, and the major field of study.

As interests in the quality of data in database systems are growing recently, analysis and improvement of data quality in databases have been an important issue. However, there has yet to be a clear agreement on how to reasonably calculate the total cost of such project. In this paper, based on real project data and budget statistics, we develop a model to estimate the cost for quality analysis and improvement project of a database. We first conduct statistical analysis to build our basic model. Throughout this analysis, we have identified factors that determine the scale of works required to conduct the project and eventually determine the cost. In addition, we have identified factors that determine the complexity of the project. These factors can adjusts the cost determined by the scale of works. Our model is verified and improved by surveys on experts. We apply our model to newly conducted projects and observe that our model estimates the cost of each project reasonably well.

As the competition in the liner shipping industry is becoming fiercer, the shipping company is trying to find the way to keep the best competitive position by reducing the cost level as low as possible and offering the best quality of service to their customer. In order to achieve this goal, the selection of port and terminal that have the best quality of service and cost effective structure is essential for the shipping line, where they can only have a chance to save the money. In this context, the paper compares three European container terminals in order to understand the factors that have to be considered in the decision making process for the selection of terminal. And its advantages and disadvantages of each type of container terminal operation system were analyzed from the liner shipping company's point of view in terms of cost, time, flexibility, stability, hinterland connection, geographical position and terminal productivity. It is obvious that the cost factors are very important for liner shipping company to select their terminal. However, there might be even more important factors than the cost factors, such as quality of port and terminal service, mutual trust, and possibility of future development.

Objective: Polypharmacy is one of the main causes of inappropriate medication use, adverse drug-related events and cost. It aimed to investigate the status of polypharmacy and potentially inappropriate medication (PIM), the factors affecting polypharmacy and cost in elderly outpatients. Method: A pharmacy claim data were retrospectively analyzed with elderly patients prescriptions at a pharmacy located near a top tier general hospital. The numbers of medications per person, prevalence of polypharmacy and PIM according to the 2012 Beers criteria and Korea PIM list, medication cost and the factors affecting polypharmacy were investigated. Results: Forty-six percentages of the elderly outpatients received polypharmacy and over 21% of them had medications listed in Beers or Korean PIM. In multiregressional analysis, we found that age, gender and insurance types were affective factors of polypharmacy. (p < 0.001, 0.047, 0.009, respectively). The cost of polypharmacy with PIM in elderly outpatients was increased with age. Various approaches of interventions would be further required.

본 사례연구의 목적은 이용 당 비용 접근방법을 통하여 과학기술분야 해외학술지의 경제성을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 K기관이 구독중인 해외학술지 중 무작위로 선정한 1,745종을 대상으로 하였고, 심층 분석을 위하여 학술지 속성 중의 영향력 계수(IF), 타기관 중복소장수, 언어, 구독비용, 이용빈도에 따른 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면 영향력 계수를 제외한 나머지 모든 속성들은 해외학술지의 이용당 비용과 서로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들 각 속성의 내부 그룹 간 차이분석을 통하여 보다 자세한 분석하였다.
