Dynamic combination resonance characteristics of doubly curved panels subjected to non-uniform tensile edge loading with damping

  • The dynamic instability of doubly curved panels, subjected to non-uniform tensile in-plane harmonic edge loading $P(t)=P_s+P_d\;{\cos}{\Omega}t$ is investigated. The present work deals with the problem of the occurrence of combination resonances in contrast to simple resonances in parametrically excited doubly curved panels. Analytical expressions for the instability regions are obtained at ${\Omega}={\omega}_m+{\omega}_n$, (${\Omega}$ is the excitation frequency and ${\omega}_m$ and ${\omega}_n$ are the natural frequencies of the system) by using the method of multiple scales. It is shown that, besides the principal instability region at ${\Omega}=2{\omega}_1$, where ${\omega}_1$ is the fundamental frequency, other cases of ${\Omega}={\omega}_m+{\omega}_n$, related to other modes, can be of major importance and yield a significantly enlarged instability region. The effects of edge loading, curvature, damping and the static load factor on dynamic instability behavior of simply supported doubly curved panels are studied. The results show that under localized edge loading, combination resonance zones are as important as simple resonance zones. The effects of damping show that there is a finite critical value of the dynamic load factor for each instability region below which the curved panels cannot become dynamically unstable. This example of simultaneous excitation of two modes, each oscillating steadily at its own natural frequency, may be of considerable interest in vibration testing of actual structures.

비이온계 계면활성제 수용액이 면직물의 습윤특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Nonionic Surfactant Solutions on Wetting and Absorbancy of Cotton Fabrics)

  • Textile materials are frequently in contact with surfactant solutions during their manufacturing or finishing processes as well as cleaning processes in use. Liquid wetting, wicking and absorbency of textile materials, and the liquid properties, surface characteristics and pore geometry of textile materials, and the liquie-solid interactions, In this paper, 10 different nonionic surfactants, including Span 20, Twen 20, 40, 60, 80, 21, 61, 81, 65, 85, were used. The surfactants were characterized by their hydrophile-lipophile-balance (HLB) values, structures, and surface tensions. The 0.1g/dL and 1.0g/dL surfactant solutions, which were both above critical micelle concentration (CMC), were used to see the concentration effects on the wetting and absorbency of cotton fabrics. The wetting behavior and liquid retention properties of hydrophobic cotton fabrics with different nonionic surfactant solutions are reported. The contact angles are greatly decreased and the water retention values are greatly increased by adding most of the surfactants studied into the system. The extents of this effects are influenced by the characteristics of surfactants and its solutions. Hydrophilic surfactants which have low number of carbon atoms or unsaturated hydrophobe structures are more effective in improving the wetting and absorbancy of hydrophobic cotton fabrics. The water retention of hydrophobic cotton fabrics has positive relations with $cos{\theta}$, adhesion tension and work of adhesion. The 1.0g/dL surfactant solutions show similar, but slightly improved wetting and absorbency characteristics of hydrophobic cotton fabrics compared to the 0.1g/dL surfactant solutions.

권취식 창개폐시스템의 소요토크모델 개발 (Development of Theoretical Formulae for Calculation of Required Torque in Roll-up Type Ventilation System)

  • 본 연구는 권취식 창개폐기의 설계 및 개발에 필요한 자료를 제시하고자 수행되었다. 기존의 단순 이론모델식으로는 정확한 권취토크를 예측할 수 없기 전문에 모형시험과 현장시험을 통하여 새로운 권취식 창개폐장치의 소요토크 모델식을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 권취식 창개폐장치에 있어서 권취토크는 곡부 권취면의 경사각을 따라 증가하는 경향을 나타내고 있으며, 경사각이 90$^{\circ}$인 수직면에서 최대를 나타냈고 수편면에서 최소값을 나타냈다. 2. 온실의 길이에 따른 소요토크는 권취하중의 증가와 축파이프의 변형의 영향으로 지수함수적으로 늘어나는 경향을 나타냈다. 3. 권취식 창개폐장치의 소요토크 계산의 이론식은 T = W.(r+a).sin$\theta$+W.Cr.cos$\theta$로 나타낼 수 있으며, 여기서 축파이프의 권취반경 r과 축변형보정계수 $\alpha$를 더한 (r+$\alpha$)는 축파이프의 최대변형값인 $\delta$에 지수함수적으로 비례하는 경향이 나타났다. 4. 권취반경 r과 축변형보정계수 $\alpha$의 합인 (r+$\alpha$)은 22.2mm 파이프에 0.1mm 비닐로 피복을 했을 때 (r+$\alpha$)=2.10338$\times$$10^{0.00779{\delta}}$ 로 구할 수 있으며, 25.4mm 파이프에서는 (r+a)=2.58063$\times$$10^{(0.00452{\delta})}$로 구할 수 있다. 5. 권취식 창개폐장치의 소요토크에서 천창 등 곡부의 개폐시 고려되어야 할 굴름저항 보정계수는 피복재의 상태에 따라 다소 다를 수 있으나 0.7~0.8 정도의 값을 적용시키면 될 것으로 판단되었다. 6. 실제 권취식 창개폐를 사용하는 온실에서 권취축 파이프의 허용 변형정도를 최대 40cm 이하로 하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단되며, 이때의 예상소요토크는 110m 온실인 경우 25.4mm 파이프를 축파이프로 사용한 경우 344kg.cm이며, 22.2mm 파이프의 경우 287kg.cm 정도이므로 새롭게 개발된 차동링기어 유성치 차감속기도 적당할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 비 이온계 계면활성제인 Span 20, Tween 20,40, 60, 80, 21, 61, 81, 65, 85 수용액이 PET직물의 습윤특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 5종류의 PET직물이 사용되었는데, PET 1, 2, 3은 밀도, 두께 등이 서로 다르고 가공은 되어 있지 않고, PET 4와 PET 5는 물리적 특성이 PET 2와 비슷한데 PET 4는 heat set가 공이 되어 있고 PET 5는 rewetting agent가 첨가되어 있다. PET직물의 습윤특성은 비이온계 계면활성제가 첨가되면 크게 향상되며, 수분 보유량은 $cos{\theta}$와 adhesion tension과 정의 상관관계를 보여준다. 친유기가 짧은 친수성 계면활성제나 불포화탄화수소 친유기 구조를 가진 계면활성제가 PET직물의 습윤특성 향상에 효과적이다. 계면활성제가 없을 경우 수분 보유량비(W/H)는 실 간 간격이 넓은 PET직물이 작은 직물보다 컸으나, 비이올계 계면활성제를 첨가할 경우 W/H는 실 간 간격에 관계없이 유사해졌다. 물리적 특성이 비슷해도 heat set가공이 되어 있는 직물은 가공이 되어 있지 않은 직물보다 W/H 값이 작았고, rewetting agent가 첨가된 직물은 W/H 값이 컸다.

  • It was aimed to study the costume of Koryo dynasty based upon the thirty pictures of Bud-dha to hang on the wall among the existing Buddist paintings. The costume to study were made about 64 years during the King Chung-yol(1286) to the King Chung-jong(1350) which style was mostly related in Won Dynasty. 가) Men's wear ; 1. Hair style and hair dress ; Man tied up a top knot and they put on the hat such as a Kuan Kun and Mo. The young boys binds his hair up one, two, and three knot-s, and tied up with a hair ribbon, A kinds of Kuan-mo were Mine-lu-kuan Yuan-yu-kuan, Nong-kuan, Hae-chi-kuan Pok-du Yun-wha-kuan Yip-mo- and Tu-ku(Helmeto) 2. clothes ; 1) Colour of Koryo King's Mien-ku Kuan costume was not agree with blue and reddish black colour which was used in Yo, Song, Kum and Won Dynasty, however black and greenhish blue colour was agreed with. 2) The king wore T'ung-t'ien-kuan(Yuan-yu-kuan) and the government officials wore Chin-hien-kuan Hae-chi-kuan and Nong-kuan as a court dress. In general the king and the Crown Prince wore a hats which was used in T'ung-t'ien system however sometimes they wore small hats which was cited in literature. 3) Gate guard and upper garment wore colourful costume figured gold colour pattern which was distin-gtive costume system of Koryo. 4) A monk wore big sleeve long skirt big sleeve long jacket long skirt and shoulder scar-f full shoulder scarf or right hand shoulder opened scarf. 5) The Soldiers wore helmet shoulder or scarf pee-back hung-kap, pok-kap, yang-dan-g-kap we-yu-kap kun-kap, and boots and they carried arms. 6) The young boys wore scarf, loin cloth, long skirt, belt neckless, wan-silk, boots and foots wear and wristless. 나) Women's wear ; 1. 한국 선박관리업의 국제경쟁력 실태분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on International Competitiveness Analysis of Korean Ship Management Service)

  • 이 연구는 산업현장에서 직접 수집한 자료를 근거로 수행된 한국 선박관리업의 국제경쟁력 실태에 대한 분석이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 선박관리회사를 국제시장에 존재하는 다국적 선박관리회사와 비교하는 것이 보다 목적에 부합할 것이다. 그러나 국내 선박관리회사는 전반적으로 국제경쟁력 수준이 너무 낮아 다국적 선박관리회사와 비교하기에는 부적절하였다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 국적 외항선사의 선박관리부문을 국내 선박관리업의 비교주체이자 표본으로 선정, 비교하였다. 경쟁력분석은 크게 가격 경쟁력과 비가격 경쟁력으로 구분하여 실시하였다. 각격 경쟁력 요소로는 선원비, 입거수리비, 운항수리비, 선용품비, 기부속비, 윤활유비 및 관리수수료를 포함하였으며, 비가격 경쟁력 요소로는 선원 및 육상관리인의 자질, 관리조직의 효율성, 관리체계의 역량, 산업규격인증, 선박관리 노하우, 대선박 관리지원체계, 사무. 선박자동화 등으로 구성되었다. 분석결과 국적선사 선박관부문은 외국의 전문 선박관리회사들에 비해 전박적으로 국제경쟁력을 확보한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 한국의 선박관리 사업은 선박관리 경쟁력 수준을 지속적으로 재고하여 적극적으로 국제시장 진출은 시도할 필요성이 있다.

복색 상징적 의미에 관한연구 (A Study on the Symbolic Meaning of the Costume Colours)

  • This study has been made to examine the symbolic meaning of our traditional costume colours based on the theory of yin-yang Wu-hsing the interaction of yin and yang with the rotation of the five agents wood firt earth metal and waters. Presenting the spirt and the life of our race the costume culture has been keep-ing its own systematic symbol. Being sensible the colour has to be under-stood as the colour sense therefore the cos-tume colour has begun to have the symbolic meaning with the feeling or the mental value. According to the theory of yin-yang wu-hsing the costume colour has presented our racial sprit way of thinking and way of life for a long time and it has become the tra-ditional culture at last. Based on the doctrine of cosmic harmony through the motion of yin and yang or the passive and active elements are their five agents form the material force of everything. The order of nature has its counterpart in five symbolic costume colours wood-blue ; fire-red: earth-yellow; metal-white: water-black. The five colours are called the primary colours. which produce the next compound colours. Accepted in the social system as well as the social stats the costume colour has set up systematically. The theory of Yin-yang Wu-hsing has given the five colours the symbolic meanings and its mainstream has been the function of Sangsaeng and Sangeuk which are genera-ted by the power of virture. The former is mu-tually beneficial while the latter destructive. The colour as a costume colour has been made distinction between the colour of the up-per classes and the colour of the middle and lower classes and the specific colour has presented the symbolic meanings. The yeollow the red and the purple have been regarded as the colour of king queen and upper classes Being the colour recognition the costume colour has been established by the society and the race generally Implied the spiritual elements the colour recognition could select the lucky colour in accordance with one's des-tiny. Besides the colour recognition has begun to appear as the racial costumes to protect the society and to pray for good fortune. According to the theory of Yin-yang Wu-hsing the costume colour has been forming through our long history and has become our costume culture. Therefore the colour of the costume has signified not only the colour sense but also the important symbolic meanings.

Identification of a Novel Human Zinc Finger Gene, ZNF438, with Transcription Inhibition Activity

  • There were many different families of zinc finger proteins that contained multiple cysteine and/or histidine residues and used zinc to stabilize their folds. The classical C2H2 zinc finger proteins were the founding members of this superfamily and were among the most abundant proteins in eukaryotic genomes. C2H2 proteins typically contained several C2H2 fingers that made tandem contacts along the DNA. Here we reported a novel C2H2 type zinc finger gene, ZNF438, which encoded 828 amino acids that formed five zinc finger domains. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that the ZNF438 was mapped to human chromosome 10p11.2 and shared 62% identity with rat and mouse homologues. RT-PCR analysis indicated that it was ubiquitously expressed in 18 human adult tissues. With immunofluorescence assay, it was shown that the exogenous Flag-tagged ZNF438 was located in nucleus of COS-7 cells. To further explore the function of ZNF438, we examined the transcriptional activity of ZNF438 protein by transfecting recombinant pM-ZNF438 into mammalian cells. The subsequent analysis based on the duel luciferase assay system showed that ZNF438 was a transcriptional repressor.

Mitotic-Specific Methylation in the HeLa Cell through Loss of DNMTs and DMAP1 from Chromatin

  • A diversified and concentrative approach of methylation player can be one of the most powerful studies in the understanding of global epigenetic modifications. Previous studies have suggested that DNA methylation contributes to transcriptional silencing through the several DNA methylation-mediated repression systems by hypermethylation, including methyltransferases (DNMTs), DNA methyltransferase association protein 1 (DMAPl), methyl-CpG binding domain (MBD), and histone deacetylases (HDACs). Assembly of these regulatory protein complexes act sequentially, reciprocally, and interdependently on the newly composed DNA strand through S phase. Therefore, these protein complexes have a role in coupling DNA replication to the designed turn-off system in genome. In this study, we attempted to address the role of DNA methylation by the functional analysis of the methyltransferase molecule, we described the involvement of DMAP1 and DNMTs in cell divistion and the effect of their loss. We also described distinct patterns that DMAP1 and DNMTs are spatially reorganized and displaced from condensing chromosomes as cells progress through mitosis in HeLa cell, COS7, and HIH3T3 cell cycle progressions. DNMT1, DNMT3b, and DMAP1 do not stably contact the genetic material during chromosome compaction and repressive expression. These finding show that the loss of activities of DNMTs and DMAP1 occure stage specifically during the cell cycle, may contribute to the integral balance of global DNA methylation. This is consistent with previous studies resulted in decreased histone acetyltransferases and HDACs, and differs from studies resulted in increased histone methyltransferases. Our results suggest that DNA methylation by DNMTs and DMAP1 during mitosis acts to antagonize hypermethylation by which this mark is epigenetical mitotic-specific methylation.

Schizosaccharomyces bombe 포자형성 유전자(spo5)의 Cloning 및 전사조절 (Cloning and Transcription Analysis of Sporulation Gene (spo5) in Schizosaccharomyces pombe)

  • 분열효모 S. pombe의 포자형성은 배지상의 질소원 고갈에 의해 유도되어지며 감수분열로부터 포자형성에 도달하는 과정에는 다수의 특이적인 유전자들이 관여하고 있다. 본 실험에서는 S. pombe genomic library 형질 전환법으로 spo5 유전자를 상보하는 clone을 screening한 후, sport 유전자를 단리하였다$^{8)}$ . 전포자막 구축에 필수적인 sport 유전자를 보유하는 약 5kb의 DNA 단편을 대장균, 효모 shuttle vector pTB248'의 Hind III 부위에 subclonning하였다. 그리고 이 DNA단편으로부터 제한 효소 지도를 작성하여(Fig. 2), spo5 변이체의 상보 능력을 조사하였다 (Fig. 3). 결과에서 서술한 바와 같이 상보능력은 동일하였으며, 이러한 상보성 실험 결과로부터 삽입된 단편상의 유전자 발현은 벡터의 promoter로부터 전사가 일어나는 것이 아니라, 삽입 단편상의 효모 고유의 promoter 에 의해서 전사가 일어나는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 clone화 한 DNA 단편 배열상에는 변역영역뿐만 아니라 promoter 영역이 포함된 것으로 판단되었다. 결실변이 도입 해석으로부터, spo5 유전자는 Sma I 부터 Hind m의 3kb 영역에 존재하였고 (Fig. 3), Nor-thern분석에 의해서 spo5 유전자의 전사를 조사한 결과, spo5 -mRNA는 Sma I 부터 Hind III 의 3kb 영 역에서 약2.5kb 크기로 검출되었다. 이 단편의 유전해석으로 부터 약 2.5kb의 전사산물은 최대 800개의 아미노산 잔기를 code하는 단백질로 판단되었다(Fig. 4). 그리고, Northern 분석법에 의해서 spo5 유전자의 전사를 조사한 결과, 서술한 바와 같이, 이 유전자는 질소기아 조건하에서만 유전자가 발현되는 것을 확인하였다(Fig. 4-2.5kb 단편).었다. 그리고 Edman법으로 결정한 PPIase의 39아미노산 잔기가 이 배열내에 완전히 보존되어 있었다. 이 결과로부터 이 ORF는PPIase구조 유전자의 1/3에 해당하는 단편임을 확인하였다. training system to a dangerous work like as "Interruption-free live-line work exchanging COS(Cut-Out-Switch)".
