패리티 검사비트를 이용한 새로운 오류정정 기술 (Error Correcting Technique with the Use of a Parity Check Bit)

  • The simplest bit error detection scheme is to append a parity bit to the end of a bit sequence. In this paper an error correction technique with the use of a parity bit is proposed, and the performance of the proposed system is analyzed. The error probability of the proposed system is compared with the output of computer simulation of the proposed system. It is also compared with the error probability of error at BPSK system, and the signal-to-noise ratio gain is showed.

  • 광시야 망원경 3호기의 광학계 특성을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 광학계를 조정하였다. 보정렌즈를 쓰기 때문에 필터는 V, R, I로 제한된다. 광시야 망원경 3호기는 초점비가 작기 때문에 광학계의 정렬 상태에 매우 민감하다. 2도${\times}2$도의 시야각 내에서 성상의 RMS 반경을 $8{\mu}m$ 이내로 맞추려면 다음의 조건을 만족해야 한다: 1) 관측기기는 초점면에 대하여 0.05도 이상 기울어지면 안된다. 2) 주경과 보정렌즈의 축간 거리(decenter)를 1mm 이내로 맞추어야 한다. 3) 주경과 보정렌즈 사이를 최적 거리에서 2.3mm 이내로 맞추어야 한다. 광시야 망원경 3호기는 곡률감지법을 이용한 수차 측정법으로 광학계를 조정하고 있으며 마무리 단계에 있다. 현재 대덕전파천문대 옥상에 임시로 설치되어 시스템 정상화와 인공위성 관측을 수행하고 있다.

전략환경평가를 통한 환경영향평가제도 개선에 대한 인식도 조사 연구 (A Study of Perception on Improvement of Environmental Impact Assessment using Strategic Environmental Assessment)

  • Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) in Korea has been used to improve environmental conservation and decision-making. Since environmental impact statement(EIS) was introduced in 1981 with the promulgation of the Environmental Preservation Act in 1977, which replaced the Pollution Control Act legislated in 1963. With a rapid growth of environmental perception as well as the diversification of development activities, however, it has recently bring about a strong demand for a new assessment process related to the strategic level of policies, plan, programs. Method of this study includes analyses of the situation of local EIA and its problematic issues through survey and analysis of information and data, analysis of the level of environmental awareness of professionals and case studies including analysis of foreign strategic environmental assessment. Accordingly, I have elicited a concept of SEA. In addition, I have studied on costs of environmental assessment, and efficiency of internalization of HIA. The survey was carried between September and November 2003, and 177 professionals were asks to complete a questionnaire. As a result of questionnaire survey of environmental pundits, it revealed that 83.8% of participants were in favor of introduction of strategic assessment. This result demonstrated more or less higher approval rate than those of awareness survey done by the Ministry of Environment, i.e. 86.0% ayes, and 14.0% nays. 22.8% of participants agreed to the opinion; "For introduction of this system, earlier is better," 50% reported having an opinion such as, "Will introduce this system in an earliest possible time after correcting problems," 26.3% reported having an opinion such as, "Let's decide the time for introduction of this system after correcting problems first,' and 0.9% reported having an opinion, "it's too early to introduce this system." Specifically, the ratio of ayes on introduction of the system marked 72.8%, and it revealed that a majority of respondents have an opinion such as, "Will introduce this system in an earliest possible time after correcting problems." As means of solutions for the problem regarding the limits of applications that existed in SEA System, factors, such as collecting a wide variety of opinions, securing experts, and faithful implementation, etc. were reported important, and in addition to these factors, respondents revealed having opinions such as, consistent research and development, reflection of public interest, establishment of professional organization, enforcement of after-management service, expanding investments in large, systemizing reference materials, and encouraging public participation, etc. To improve problems involving with present EIA system, it has been identified through this study that SEA is efficient and useful. In order to have SEA introduced successfully, it has been cleared that internalization of effectiveness of environmental cost together with HIA must be accomplished.

  • In testing the moving balance of a rotor instead of strobotron system here to for in use, making the pick up touch the rotor without putting the subject on the testing table, we can observe both the corrected original point and its unbalance point which appeared on the Braun tube screen with naked eyes. Then we can do our correcting job with rapidity.

  • Low voltage circuit breakers which interrupt rapidly and raise the reliability of power supply are widly used in power distribution systems. In the paper, it was investigated how much Interrupting capability was improved by correcting the shape of the contact system in molded case circuit breaker(below MCCB), Prior to the interrupting testing, it was necessary for the optimum design to analyze magnetic forces on the contact system, generated by current and flux density. This paper presents both our compuational analysis and test results contact system in MCCB.

  • In recent years, large volumes of data are transferred between a computer system and various subsystems through digital logic circuits and interconnected wires. And there always exist potential errors when data are transferred due to electrical noise, device malfunction, or even timing errors. In general, parity checking circuits are usually employed for detection of single-bit errors. However, it is not sufficient to enhance system reliability and availability for efficient error detection. It is necessary to detect and further correct errors up to a certain level within the affordable cost. In this paper, we report a generation of 3-distance code using the characteristic matrix of a PBCA.

  • The tower cranes are widely used in very useful construction machine the sites of constructing high-structure and have a structural sensitiveness. Therefore, the accidents have often happened due to the deficiency of laborer's understanding md lack of safety of structure. Till now, as we have research and studied above, we can properly protect accidents by construction equipments particularly crane as well as most disasters which occur frequently in construction site. The goal of this study is the safety inspection model of the tower crane a construction site, which preventible the collapse accident of tower crane which is constructed by using the correcting frame. In order to accomplish the goal of this study, the field survey, the reference investigation and the structure analysis were performed for the collapse accident of tower nine using the correcting data. This study will be proposed a build-up solutions about operating and release of safety constructions and researched about software safety estimation. Also, preventing safety problems of Tower Crane Construction site as applying safety estimation program and laws and regulations. As a result, The real time control of tower crane inspection system is implemented by to illustrate the application of the adopted optimal design model.

소형 자동기상관측장비(Mini-AWS) 기압자료 보정 기법 (A Method for Correcting Air-Pressure Data Collected by Mini-AWS)

  • 수치예보모델을 이용한 예보의 정확도를 높이기 위해 관측 간격이 조밀하고 많은 양의 관측자료를 사용하는 방법이 있다. 현재 기상청에서는 자동기상관측장비(Automatic Weather Station, AWS)를 설치하여 관측자료를수 집하고 있지만, 고가의 설치 및 유지보수 비용 등의 경제적인 한계가 있다. 소형 자동기상관측장비(Mini-AWS)는 기온, 습도, 기압을 측정하고 기록할 수 있는 초소형 기상관측장비로 설치 및 유지보수 비용이 저렴하고 설치를 위한 장소 선택의 제약이 크지 않아 필요한 지역에 설치하여 관측자료를 수집하기가 용이하다. 그러나 설치 장소에 따라 외부환경에 영향을 받을 수 있기 때문에 관측자료의 보정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 Mini-AWS 기압자료를 기상자료로 활용하기 위한 보정기법을 제안한다. Mini-AWS를 통해 수집된 관측자료는 전처리 과정을 거쳐 주변에서 가장 가까운 AWS 기압 값을 참값으로 기계학습 기법을 이용하여 기압 보정을 수행하였다. 실험결과 기상관측 규정에 따른 허용오차 범위 내에 포함되었으며, 지지벡터 회귀를 적용한 보정기법이 가장 좋은 성능을 보였다.
