Characteristics of corona discharge of the different types of the plasma reactors which are cone-hole and cone-plate is investigated experimentally. The discharge starts at lower voltage for the cathode corona than the anode corona and spark occurs at higher voltage for the cathode corona. And the cathode corona makes more stable discharge than the anode corona. The effect of the base gas in corona discharge for different O$_2$/N$_2$ concentrations is related with the gas molecular weight. The discharge for the smaller molecular weight gas occurs easier than for the high molecular weight gas. The discharge current decreases with the increase of oxygen concentration and it increases more sharply for anode corona than for cathode corona as discharge voltage increases after corona onset voltage. NO-NO$_2$ conversion increases with the energy density of corona discharge and the addition of O$_2$ in a base N$_2$ gas.

Starting from the distribution transformer, the insulation oil for the oil immersed power transformer is being used to convert the vegetable oil from the existing mineral oil. Vegetable oil is better in temperature characteristics and insulation performance, is not toxic, and has better biodegradable characteristic than that of mineral oil. In order to investigate the corona inception voltage and dieclectic charateristics of the two insulating oils, three oil immersed transformers using mineral oil and vegetable oil were made and thermal cyclic aged. In this paper, the changes in the corona discharge inception voltage, chemical and electrical properties of the two sampled insulating oils from the transformers had been studied.

Studine the characteristic or C.T.I affectine on the tracking failure when interface active materials are diffused into the phenolic resin. we conclude as follow: 1) As the density of $NH_4Cl$ increase the quality or sludge increase the value of C.T.I decreases. 2) The materal of ion absorption can make the period of sludge metallic matal generation delay more than times and the value of C.T.I increase. 3) By addition of interface active material that makes forming period delay, the starting voltage of corona blackdown id delayed and the value of C.T.I is increased.
