지간적 직류Corona의 실질적 검토 (Experimental Study of DC Coronas in Point-to-Plane Short Gap)

  • Positive and negative coronas in point-to-plane short gap have been investigated with the variations of point radius and gap length. Mainly the onset potentials and current pulses under various conditions were measured with a 70 MHz C.R.O. and a precise-controllable D.C. power supply. In the case of negative corona, the Trichel pulse corona, glow corona and spark regions were distinguished apparently and the critical gap lengths between them were also found clearly. In the case of positive corona, there are streamer corona, spark regions and the critical gap length between them, too. The current pulse forms of Trichel pulse corona of negative and streamer pulse corona of positive are similar in rising time, peak-to-peak time and pulse width. The glow corona current shows D.C. component in form.

관형 코로나 방전전극을 이용한 이온풍속의 최대화 (An Maximization of Ionic Wind Utilizing a Cylindrical Corona Electrode)

  • A corona discharge system with needle point or wire type corona electrode has been well used as an ionic wind blower. The corona discharge system with a needle point electrode produces ions at lower applied voltage effectively. However, the corona discharge on the needle point electrode transits to the arc discharge at lower voltage, and it is hard to obtain the elevated electric field in the discharge airgap for enhancing the ion migration velocity due to the weak Coulomb force. A cylindrical corona electrode with sharp round tip is reported as one of effective corona electrode, because of its higher breakdown voltage than that of the needle electrode. A basic study, for the effectiveness of cylindrical electrode shape on the ionic wind generation, has been investigated to obtain an maximum wind velocity, which however is the final goal for the real field application of this kind ionic wind blower. In this paper, a parametric study for maximizing the ionic wind velocity utilizing the cylindrical corona electrode and a maximum ion wind velocity of 4.1 m/s were obtained, which is about 1.8 times higher than that of 2.3m/s obtained with the needle corona electrode from the velocity profile.

A Public Perception Study on the new word "Corona Blue":Focusing on Social Media Big Data Analysis

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute to the provision of basic data for psychological quarantine policy and counseling by examining the public perception of the "corona blue" phenomenon through analysis of social media big data. To do this, key words related to the word 'Corona Blue' were derived and analyzed using the big data analysis program 'Textom'. As a result of the analysis, words such as 'Corona 19', 'depression', 'problem' and 'overcome' were derived as key words. For the analysis results,"pride and awarenes as the public perception of Corona 19", "depression and anxiety as a group trauma as the corona blue phenomenon", "spreading a psychological quarantine culture and demanding social healing as the perception of overcoming corona Blue," and "hope for return to daily life and changes in daily life as the perception of post corona" were discussed. In conclusion, we have identified the need for active psychological support from the community By revealing that Corona Blue is a depression as a group trauma. At this time, it is confirmed that it is necessary to prioritize social healing and psychological quarantine for the main risk groups such as youth or the vulnerable, who are the socially weak.

345KV 송전선에 의한 CORONA 잡음 전파장해 연구 (A Study on the Radio Interference due to the Corona Noise of 345 KV Transmission Line)

  • 신설된 345KV 송전선에 의해 야기되는 corona 잡음은 송전선 직하 10m 지점에서 주파수 1MHz시 相間의 간섭을 무시하면 최대 강우시 72dB, 젖은 도체는 63dB이고, 3상 전체의 corona noise 합성시는 제일 level이 큰 相이 지배적이다. 측정 결과 직각 거리 특성은 이론치와 잘 일치하고 기후 특성으로는 강우, 강설시 corona level이 제일 높았고 비온 전후로 수 시간이 경과해야 안정한 상태와 같아진다. 주파수 특성은 측정치와 보정식이 비교적 잘 일치한다. 측정된 corona 잡음으로 수신장해 정도를 나타내기 위해서는 통계적인 방법의 S/N 비 정량화가 필요하다. ITU, IEEE 위원회, 일본 NHK 등은 장시간에 걸친 시험 평가로 각각 품질등급에 따라 평가기준을 정의하고 있는데 우리나라에서도 수신품질에 대한 평가기준을 확립할 필요가 있다.

高分子 物質의 表面에너지 增加에 對한 새로운 理論. 高分子 物質의 코로나 放電處理가 알루미늄과의 接着强度에 주는 影響 (Effect of Corona Treatment of Polymers on Bonds to Aluminum)

  • PE, PP 및 PVC를 corona 放電으로 處理한 後 알루미늄과 接着을 시키면 接着强度가 크게 向上된다. 그러나 corona 放電으로 처리한 PE와 PP를 $80^{\circ}C$로 調節한 乾燥器에 넣고, PVC는 $50^{\circ}C$로 調節한 乾燥器에 넣어 15分間 放置하면 corona 放電處理만 했을 때 보다 接着力이 ${\frac{1}{2}}$밖에 되지 않는다. 따라서 高分子物質을 corona 放電處理 했을 때 接着强度의 增加는 高分子物質의 酸化에 依한 것이라고만은 볼 수 없다. 接着强度의 심한 振幅은 Weibull 分布函數를 이용하여 檢討하였다. 이 硏究에서는 corona 放電으로 처리한 高分子物質을 알루미늄과 接着시켰을 때 그 强度의 增加는 高分子物質의 表面에 執着된 electret의 影響이 크다는 것을 나타내었다.

직류 코로나 하전된 강유전체구 층의 연면방전특성 (Surface Discharge Characteristics of a DC Corona Charged Ferroelectric Pellet Barrier)

  • Surface corona discharge characteristics of a dc corona charged ferroelectric pellet barrier have been investigated experimentally. Electric charges stored on the surfaces of the ferroelectric pellets by a dc corona discharge provide partial electric fields on the surfaces of the ferroelectric pellets, which could generate surface corona discharges on the ferroelectric pellets. This system utilizes both the surface discharges on the ferroelectric pellet barrier and the corona discharge between corona tip and mesh electrode. Positive and negative dc voltages were applied to the tip to generate partial discharges, and corona currents were estimated to investigate the buildup charge on ferroelectric pellets as a function of the applied time and the charge relaxation time constants of ferroelectric pellets. As a result, in the case of the negative corona discharge with the ferroelectric pellet barrier, the mean corona current and ozone generation increase greatly, and the surface discharges on the ferroelectric pellets can be fenerated efficiently. It is also found that, charge relaxation time, dielectric constants offerroelectric pellets, polarity of applied voltage and applied time affected to the surface discharges among the ferroelectric pellets.

ORGANIC POLLUTANTS DEGRADATION USING PULSELESS CORONA DISCHARGE: APPLICATION IN ULTRAPURE WATER PRODUCTION

  • The use of ozone gained acceptance in the production of ultrapure water because of its powerful oxidizing ability. Ozone is currently used to deactivate microorganisms and remove organic contaminants. However, interest also exists in using radical species, which arc stronger oxidants than ozone, in such processes. One means of producing radical species is by corona discharge. This work investigates the use of a novel pulseless corona-discharge system for the removal of organic substances in ultrapure water production. The method combines corona discharge with electrohydrodynamic spraying of oxygen, forming microbubbles. Experimental results show that pulseless corona discharge effectively removes organics, such as phenol and methylene blue, in deionized water. The corona-discharge method is demonstrated to be comparable to the direct use of ozone at a high-applied voltage. The results also show that a minimum applied voltage exists for operation of the corona-discharge method. In this work, the minimum applied voltage is approximately 4.5 kV. The kinetic rate or phenol degradation in the reactor is modeled. Modeling results show that the dominant species of the pulseless corona-discharge reactor are hydroxyl radical and aqueous electron. Several radical species produced in the pulseless corona-discharge process are identified experimentally. The. major species are hydroxyl radical, atomic hydrogen species, and ozone.

  • This study investigates particle collection characteristics of a cylindrical electrostatic precipitator. Experimental work has been made for the submicron particles. The effects of polarity of discharge electrode wire, particle diameter, gas velocity, gas temperature, and specific corona power on the particle collection efficiency are investigated. The efficiency of negative corona is higher than that of positive corona. as the particle diameter increases, the efficiency is decreased when the diameter is in the range of 0.02-0.6 micron, but is increased for the nanometer particles with diameter smaller than 0.02 micron. The efficiency is increased with increase of specific corona power. As the gas temperature increases, overall collection efficiency is increased for a negative corona, but is deceased for a positive corona.

  • In this study, the Thermally Stimulated Current(TSC) of corona charged PTFE is studied and the simulation of corona charging process is also calculated by Finite Element Method. The electrets which were formed by applying high voltages (DC ${\pm}5{\sim}{\pm}8$ [kV]) to PTFE, are used to measure TSC in the temperature range of $-100{\sim}+200$ [$^{\circ}C$] and then the Finite Element Method is performed to examine corona charging process using a obtained physical constants. As a result. it is confirmed that the charging negative corona is profitable as the applications are manufactured, because the time constant of negative corona is much larger than it of positive corona. And it is attempted to estimate the corona charging process in space using simulation.

코로나 선전극의 직경과 극성변화에 따른 오존발생특성 (Characteristics of Ozone Generation by Diameter and Polarity Variation of Corona Wire Electrode)

  • In this paper, it was investigated experimentally that diameter and polarity variation of corona wire electrode affected to ozone generation of the ozone generator using a wire-to-plate type electrode. The change in the diameter(D) of the corona wire electrode has a great effect upon ozone generation, higher influence appears in the positive corona discharge than the negative corona discharge. In the case of D=0.50[mm], maximum ozone generation and power efficiency could be obtained. However, in the case of smaller D than this, the ozone generation and efficiency decreases slowly and in the case of larger D, the ozone generation decreases rapidly. It means performance decline as an ozone generator. Therefore, ozone generation and power efficiency would increase through simple optimization of the corona electrode specification.
