  • With the paradigm shifting from the principal of manufacturing efficiency to business globalism and rapid adaptation to its environments, more and more enterprises are being virtually organized as manufacturing network of different units in web. The formation of these enterprise called as Virtual Enterprise(VE) is becoming a growing trend as enterprises concentrating on core competence and economic benefit. 13us paper proposes multi-agent based task assignment system for VE, which attempts to address the selection of individually managed partners and the task assignment to them A case example is presented to illustrate how the proposed system can assign the task to partners.

  • In this era of cut-throat competition, innovation is a source of competitive advantage, and securing core competency through innovation plays a pivotal role in ensuring the survival and growth of an organization. In an organization, R&D team is a core division driving innovation, and creative tension and conflict among researchers fuels innovative performance. Despite heated debate over the positive and negative effects of conflict, insufficiently-identified process factors have left sophisticated mechanisms between conflicts and effects unaddressed. This study assumes that team learning behaviors can bean important process factor given that conflict propels learning, and that learning is a decisive factor in creating competitive advantage. This study conducted an empirical analysis of the relationship between relationship/task conflict and team innovative performance, and the mediating role of team learning behaviors using data collected from a questionnaire sent out to the heads of 262 R&D teams and second highest-ranking officials thereof. The analysis conducted based on structural equation model indicates that relationship conflict has negatively affected team learning behaviors, whereas task conflict has positively influenced team learning behaviors(full mediation effect), team learning behaviors has positively influenced team innovative performance. Based on these results, the study has suggested implications of intra-team conflict and team learning behaviors for team innovative performance.

The Effects of Job Characteristics on the Team Creativity of Distribution Companies: Moderating Effects of Transformational Leadership

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the causal relationship between job characteristics and creativity. The role of transformational leadership is also examined. To identify the relationship between core team job characteristics and transformational leadership, an empirical survey was conducted through surveys of domestic distribution companies. Among the collected questionnaires, missing and insincere responses were excluded and 636 individuals of 107 teams were used for the SPSS 18 analysis. It was found that job meaningfulness was positively related to team creativity and transformational leadership also had a significant effect. Task feedback was shown to be an important factor on the motivation to perform tasks successfully. In the case of transformational leadership, this leadership style helped individuals overcome fear by providing support, sympathy, and consideration to create novel ideas. But, its effects were different on team creativity when it interacted with core job characteristics. Departments where creativity is highly emphasized within an organization are able to design job characteristics which fit the task at hand. Moreover, transformational leadership brings about different effects on team creativity when it interacts with job characteristics. The findings of this study suggest that organizations should consider characteristics of tasks and individuals as well when conducting education and training.

  • An automatic visual classification system is introduced which provides for measuring the length and diameter of coilform cores and dividing them into 5 different classes in terms of how far their length be from the desired length. This task is fully automated by controlling two STEP motors and by using image processing techniques. The classification procedure is broken into three logical parts. Fist, cores in the form of randomly stacked bundle are lined up one by one so as to be well captured by a cameras. The second part involves capturing core image. Then, it enters the measuring process. Finally, this machine would retain all tire information relating to the length. According to the final result, cores are sent to the corresponding bin. This considerably simplifies the selecting task and facilitates a greatly improved reliability in precision. The average classifying capability about 2 pieces per second.

  • This paper describes implementation of the core DSM-CC UU interface. It briefly describes the reference model for the DSM-CC and related standards that should be reviewed for the implementation. The Common Object Request Broker Architechture, Revision 2.0 (CORBA 2.0) is sued as a remote procedure call (RPC) scheme for the UU Interface. Entire system was implemented with C++ on Windows NT platforms. The implementation procedure has been decomposed ito two tasks. The first task is to implement the Naming Service for service navigation. The Naming Service is one of the CORBA Services that extend the core CORBA specification. A client GUI is implemented for easy navigation among various services. The second task is to construct multimedia server and client for a Video-on-Demand (VoD) system. MPEG-2 Transport Stream is transported via ATM AAL5 using the Windows Socket 2.2 ATM extension API. A GUI enables the user to navigate the service domain and select a program. After the selection the user can control the MPEG-2 stream with VCR-like buttons.

Multi-task learning with contextual hierarchical attention for Korean coreference resolution

  • Coreference resolution is a task in discourse analysis that links several headwords used in any document object. We suggest pointer networks-based coreference resolution for Korean using multi-task learning (MTL) with an attention mechanism for a hierarchical structure. As Korean is a head-final language, the head can easily be found. Our model learns the distribution by referring to the same entity position and utilizes a pointer network to conduct coreference resolution depending on the input headword. As the input is a document, the input sequence is very long. Thus, the core idea is to learn the word- and sentence-level distributions in parallel with MTL, while using a shared representation to address the long sequence problem. The suggested technique is used to generate word representations for Korean based on contextual information using pre-trained language models for Korean. In the same experimental conditions, our model performed roughly 1.8% better on CoNLL F1 than previous research without hierarchical structure.

  • The first thing to be prioritized is to set the scope of the management system when establishing an information security management system for systematic and effective information security management. It is important to set the scope for an organization's information security goals due to the scope affects the organization's overall information security activities. If the scope is set incorrectly, it might become impossible to protect important services and therefore, the scope of the management system should be determined in consideration of the core business services of the organization. We propose a core service selection model based on the organization's mission-critical service and high risk service in order to determine the effective information security management system scope in this paper. Core service selection criteria include the type of service, contribution to sales, socio-economic impact, and linkage with other services.

  • 2010년 이전 국책연구과제는 국책연구기관이 민간산업계의 요구사항 위주로 전문기관에 제안하여 수행함에 따라 사용자(운영기관 및 고객)의 불편사항이 지속적으로 제기되었으나 현재 사용자가 제시한 의견을 반영할 수 있도록 연구관련 제도가 개선되는 추세다. 본 논문은 도시철도/경량전철 차량의 핵심부품 및 장치에 관한 기술고도화 및 원천기술 확보를 위한 과제 도출기법에 관하여 연구하였다. 도시철도/경량전철 차량과 연관된 이해당사자 그룹(지방정부, 운영기관, 연구기관, 학계, 산업계, 등)에 관한 정의, 차량전문가에 관한 정의와 설문항목 설계를 위한 기법 적용은 객관성, 공정성, 형평성 확보를 위해 델파이 기법을 적용하여 설계 및 검증하고자 하였다. 또한, 기획연구과제 도출 프로세스를 공유함으로써 도시철도/경량전철 차량분야의 이해관계자 그룹 간 의견을 통합하여 이해관계자 그룹의 요구사항을 충족하는 도시철도/경량전철 차량분야 핵심부품 및 장치에 관한 고도화 연구 과제를 도출하고자 하였다.

대학 교양교육의 변화 - 하버드 교양교육 보고서를 중심으로 - (Change in General Education - Based on the Harvard Reports on General Education -)

  • 현대 사회의 급격한 변화는 대학교육에서 뿐만 아니라 교양교육에 있어서도 새로운 방향을 모색하도록 만들고 있다. 이 글은 오늘날 대학의 화두가 되고 있는 교양교육과 관련하여 변화의 방향이나 정당성 등을 검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 교양교육의 변화를 선도하고 있는 일련의 '하버드 교양교육 보고서'를 교양교육의 목적과 내용을 중심으로 비교 검토한다. '하버드 교양교육 보고서'들은 교양교육의 이상으로서의 자유교육 아이디어를 단순하게 적용하기 보다는 현대의 시대적 사회적 맥락에서 재해석 내지 재검토 하고 있다. 이 점은 오늘날 교양교육이 직면한 위기, 즉 교양교육과 전공교육 혹은 직업교육과의 관계를 재정립하거나 사회 변화상의 반영 방안 마련 등과 관련된 시사점을 제시한다.

에너지 효율적인 멀티코어 임베디드 시스템을 위한 부하 불균형 스케줄링 방법 (Load Unbalancing Scheduling Method for Energy-Efficient Multi-core Embedded Systems)

  • We proposed a load unbalancing scheduling method for energy-efficient multi-core embedded systems considering DVFS (Dynamic Voltage/Frequency Scaling) power consumption and task characteristics. It is a new kind of scheduler which combines load balancing and load unbalancing technique. The purpose of the method is to effectively utilize energy without much effect in performance. In this paper, we conduct experiments on energy consumption and performance using the previous load balancing and unbalancing techniques and our proposed technique. The proposed technique reduced energy consumption more than 13.7% when compared to other algorithms. As a result, the proposed technique shows low energy consumption without much decline in the performance and is adequate for energy-efficient multi-core embedded systems.
