  • This study developed career education program applying cooperative learning structures (Kagan, 1993, 1995, 1997), and tested its effect on elementary school children's career development. Sixth grade students of 2 classes were divided into experimental and control group, and 14 sessions of the program were applied to the experimental group for 8 weeks. Career development test(Lee, 2005) were performed before and after the program. Students in both groups were retested 3 months after the post-test to test continuing effects of the program. Score tendencies and their differences between experimental group and control group of children in 3 career development areas - self-awareness, educational and occupational exploration, and career planing - were tested and the results are as follows: development of 3 areas of self-awareness, educational and occupational exploration, and career planing were consistently increasing along the experimental sequence in experimental group, while the development of 3 areas showed no changes or declining tendencies in control group. Self-awareness and educational and occupational exploration did not show the statistically significant differences between the groups. Meanwhile, the career plaining showed statistically significant difference between the groups in post-test, meaning that the career education program with cooperative structure has positive effects on the career planing in 6th grade students.

  • In this paper, we propose a optimal deployment method for cooperative exploration of swarm robots. The proposed method consists of two parts such as optimal deployment and path planning. The optimal area deployment is proposed by the K-mean Algorithm and Voronoi tessellation. The path planning is proposed by the potential field method and A* Algorithm. Finally, the numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.

  • This paper has done a study of Chinese-Korean cooperative multimedia design education. Sino-Korean school of multimedia was set up by Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES) and Korea Dongseo University in October 2002. We have created "3.5+0.5 Teaching Model". In this model, Chinese and Korea professors take courses together. Firstly, paper points our the Chinese government policy background of Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in running schools and the development of Chinese-Korean cooperative multimedia design education in SUES. Secondly, by analyzing the multimedia design industry to understand the Chinese multi-media design education. Thirdly, paper made in-depth studies for "3.5+0.5 Teaching Model" so as to draw the experience of successes and problems. Through analysis of "Questionnaires for students' learning and living conditions in Dongseo University in 2009" by spss 16.0, paper made a research of mode of "A semester studying in Korea". Finally, paper points out the development direction of Chinese-Korean cooperative multimedia design.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the ground change of large scale mountainous region and to estimate the active weak zone using geophysical exploration (electrical resistivity and refraction seismic explorations) in large scale deep landslide area located in Wanjugun, Jeollabukdo. We also analyzed the characteristics of deep landslides occurred in metamorphic rocks region and confirmed the approximate scale. As a result of comparative analysis of N-value by standard penetration test (SPT), low resistivity anomaly, and tension crack identified from field investigation, a discontinuity in soil layer was estimated at 10 ~ 15 m below the surface. Based on this results, the distribution pattern of active weak zone was confirmed between the discontinuity in soil layer and estimation line of bedrock.

  • Since the use of computer-mediated communication(CMC) systems has been steadily increasing in the teaching and learning environments, this study attempted to describe some of instructional strategies which can be employed as a medium of cooperative learning. One of the best way to conduct network-assisted instruction is to embed such a medium into cooperative learning. Network-assisted cooperative learning maximizes students' own learning and each other's learning using CMC, in which students can actively participate in their learning processes. The characteristics of CMC-transmission and search of information, interactivity, time and place independence-assist and enhance cooperative learning. In this study, the instructional strategies for cooperative learning via CMC are suggested as following: (1) choose the instructional goals, (2) structure positive interdependence, (3) select guidelines for grouping, (4) train cooperative skills to students, (5) set up the environments such as electronic bulletin-board, and (6) develop assessment tools. Finally, this study suggests that potentials of network-assisted cooperative learning can be realized by providing environments and thinking tools for cooperative learning. Appropriate theory and practice need to be followed up to support the cooperative learning systems.

  • This paper describes the modeling of work environment for the extraction of abstract operation rules for cooperative work with multiple agent. We propose the modeling method using a potential field. In the method, it is applied to a box pushing problem, which is to move a box from a start to a goal b multiple agent. The agents follow the potential value when they move and work in the work environment. The work environment is represented as the grid space. The potential field is generated by Genetic Algorithm(GA) for each agent. GA explores the positions of a potential peak value in the grid space, and then the potential value stretching in the grid space is spread by a potential diffusion function in each grid. However it is difficult to explore suitable setting using hand coding of the position of peak potential value. Thus, we use an evlolutionary computation way because it is possible to explore the large search space. So we make experiments the environment modeling using the proposed method and verify the performance of the exploration by GA. And we classify some types from acquired the environment model and extract the abstract operation rule, As results, we find out some types of the environment models and operation rules by the observation, and the performance of GA exploration is almost same as the hand coding set because these are nearly same performance on the evaluation of the consumption of agent's energy and the work step from point to the goal point.

  • In this study, the resolution capabilities of electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) in the monitoring of $CO_2$ injection are investigated. The pole-pole and bipole-bipole electrode configuration types are used between two uncased boreholes straddling the $CO_2$ plume. Forward responses for an initial pre-injection model and three models for subsequent stages of $CO_2$ injection are calculated for the two different electrode configuration types, noise is added and the theoretical data are inverted with both L1- and L2-norm optimisation. The results show that $CO_2$ volumes over a certain threshold can be detected with confidence. The L1-norm proved superior to the L2-norm in most instances. Normalisation of the inverted models with the pre-injection inverse model gives good images of the regions of changing resistivity, and an integrated measure of the total change in resistivity proves to be a valid measure of the total injected volume.

  • On Aug. 4, 2022, at 23:08:48 (UTC), the Korea Pathfinder Lunar Orbiter (KPLO), also known as Danuri, was launched using a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch vehicle. Currently, KPLO is successfully conducting its science mission around the Moon. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)'s Deep Space Network (DSN) was utilized for the successful flight operation of KPLO. A great deal of joint effort was made between the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and NASA DSN team since the beginning of KPLO ground system design for the success of the mission. The efficient utilization and management of NASA DSN in deep space exploration are critical not only for the spacecraft's telemetry and command but also for tracking the flight dynamics (FD) operation. In this work, the top-level DSN interface architecture, detailed workflows, DSN support levels, and practical lessons learned from the joint team's efforts are presented for KPLO's successful FD operation. Due to the significant joint team's efforts, KPLO is currently performing its mission smoothly in the lunar mission orbit. Through KPLO cooperative operation experience with DSN, a more reliable and efficient partnership is expected not only for Korea's own deep space exploration mission but also for the KARI-NASA DSN joint support on other deep space missions in the future.

  • In this paper, we propose the novel behavior control algorithm by using the efficient searching method based on the characteristic of the swarm robots in unknown space. The proposed method consists of identifying the position and moving state of a robot by the dynamic modelling of a wheel drive vehicle, and planing behavior control rules of the swarm robots based on the sensor range zone. The cooperative search for unknown space is carried out by the proposed behavior control. Finally, some experiments show the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed method.
