  • The study analyzes those relations of customer service level of each sales branch, level of cooperations among branches, and overall system-wide service level for an item. Under the continuous review method, each sales branch places an order to the outside supplier, and the each branch receives the order quantity after elapsing a certain lead time. Under these circumstances, those branches with stockout condition may be supplied by other branches with keeping stocks to cover the shortages. This policy generally increases the system-wide customer service level for an item throughout cooperations for the safety plan among branches. Therefore, in the context of inventory policy, the decision rules to determine the proper branch levels of service and cooperation levels of service are important goals in terms of attaining desired system-wide service level. This research has suggested the method and procedure to reach above goals.

  • China adopts the "Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035" in the context of tremendous changes in the international environment. A new development paradigm is proposed to prioritize domestic circulation, reinforcing both domestic and international circulations. The industrial policies of China's "14th Five-Year Plan" will have an impact on Korea. Thus it is necessary for Korea to cooperate with China to actively respond to changes in the industrial chains and value chains in Asia and the world. Over the past 29 years since the establishment of diplomatic relation between China and South Korea, the two countries have enjoyed close economic and trade relations. China-ROK cooperation is critical to regional economic development in the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of remarkable changes in the world's political and economic structure. China is a robust developing country, while Korea is a developed one in with steady foothold in the world economy. China and South Korea should work together to contribute to the rapid recovery and development of the world economy instead of becoming competitors.

Space Syntax was applied to compare the MAFP and STKH. The space within MAFP was more divided into many spaces than the STKH. In both types of floor plans, the living room space had the highest degree of integration and was used for central functions in the each floor plan. The STKH and the space in the MAFP have more segregated space than integrated space. In the STKH, the master bedroom and other rooms were found to be segregated space. However, the master bedroom of the MAFP was highly integrated space. The function of the thet maru has been greatly reduced in the STKH, and the numaru was classified as a highly segregated space. The evacuation space was the most segregated space in the MAFP. The STKH has been adapted and changed according to the trends of the times, and the MAFP reflects our traditional living habits.

  • This research deals with the PLAN's capabilities and its implication for regional security, and suggests some measures for maritime security cooperation among regional states. China has began to focus its national strategy more on 'rising as a new maritime power' since the 18th Party Convention in November 2012. Chinese new strategy aims at building a strong navy, contributing economic prosperity and national security, and thus elevating its prestige in international society. Most of all, building a strong navy is the foremost task at this time, and that is why the PLAN has the priority for military modernization. Chinese new maritime strategy could cause naval arms race in East Asia and aggravate maritime territorial disputes among concerned parties. It is the time for regional states to discuss some measures to build confidence, such as arms control of naval weapons, establishment of multilateral maritime security mechanism, and foundation of regional security regime, thus enhancing regional maritime cooperation.
