  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of recognition, perceived usefulness, and intention to accept the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare among nursing students, as well as to determine related factors. Through this study, we wanted to develop the basic research for the education related to the IoT in healthcare. In this study, data were collected from 348 nursing students using self-report online questionnaires, Naverform, and analyzed using the independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficients in SPSS version 26.0. The results of the study show that recognition of the IoT was correlated with its perceived usefulness (r=0.37; p<.001) and intention to accept the IoT (r=0.23 (p<.001). The strongest correlation was found between perceived usefulness of the IoT and intention to accept (r=0.67; p<.001). In conclusion, recognition of the IoT in healthcare affected its perceived usefulness, and a significant correlation was found between perceived usefulness of the IoT and intention to accept it. This study analyzed how much recognition, perceived usefulness, and intention to accept IoT in healthcare nursing students have. Based on these findings, we suggest that education related to the IoT in healthcare should be incorporated into the nursing curriculum.

  • The heart rate is the most important vital sign in diagnosing heart status. The simple method to measure the heart rate in the mobile healthcare device is using the PPG signal. In developing the mobile healthcare device using the PPG signal, the most important issue is the inaccuracy of the measured heart rate because the PPG signal is distorted from the user's motions. To improve the problem, this study proposed the new method that is to estimate the heart rate without an additional sensor in real life. The proposed method in this study is using the histogram filter. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, the study compares its results with the moving average method in motion environment. According to the experimental results, the performance of the proposed method was more than 40% better than the performances of the MAF.

  • A large volume of patient data is generated from various devices used in healthcare applications. With increase in the volume of data generated in the healthcare industry, more wellness monitoring is required. A cloud-enabled analysis of healthcare data that predicts patient risk factors is required. Machine learning techniques have been developed to address these medical care problems. A novel technique called the radix-trie-based Tanimoto kernel regressive infomax boost classification (RT-TKRIBC) technique is introduced to analyze the heterogeneous health data in the cloud to predict the health risks and send alerts. The infomax boost ensemble technique improves the prediction accuracy by finding the maximum mutual information, thereby minimizing the mean square error. The performance evaluation of the proposed RT-TKRIBC technique is realized through extensive simulations in the cloud environment, which provides better prediction accuracy and less prediction time than those provided by the state-of-the-art methods.

  • Purpose: his study aims to explore how healthcare provider service characteristics in telemedicine services, which have become more common since the pandemic, affect rapport formation and service satisfaction with healthcare providers. Research design, data and methodology: A group of actual telemedicine users underwent data collection and empirical analysis. After analyzing reliability and validity, hypotheses were tested using a structural equation model. Results: Key perceived attributes of healthcare providers in telemedicine services were identified as doctor effort, doctor listening, and doctor expertise. Each of these variables had a significant positive impact on trust in telemedicine. Moreover, these attributes significantly positively impacted rapport formation and user service satisfaction, which was mediated by trust. However, the direct impact of rapport formation on service satisfaction was not supported. Conclusions: The study's findings have academic and practical implications for expanding telemedicine services. As an initial empirical study on telemedicine services, it confirms the importance of trust and rapport formation even in non-face-to-face medical situations. In order to overcome the limitations of non-physical contact, telemedicine services should strive to develop UI/UX designs that are more interoperable and boost trust in service apps.

  • I investigated the relationship between social support, environmental factors, and color design within the public spaces of healthcare facilities. Through a comprehensive literature review and case studies from major hospitals in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Scotland, I explored how these elements contribute to public spaces' overall concept and function. The study emphasizes the need to establish a clear relationship between the social functions of these spaces and their physical and environmental characteristics. By examining theoretical frameworks and observed examples, I analyzed the impact of color design and the integration of internal and external spaces. The findings highlight that well-designed spaces, especially those utilizing effective color schemes and connecting indoor and outdoor areas, enhance user satisfaction and support healing processes. The results underscore the importance of communal spaces in healthcare facilities for psychological and social healing. I conclude that these spaces should be intentionally designed to foster social interactions among patients and visitors by improving pedestrian accessibility and incorporating social support structures.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the of patient safety related to perception of Hospital environment, Organizational culture, Reporting system and Factors Influencing on Perception of Medical Errors Report Related to Patient Safety of Healthcare Workers in a General Hospital. Healthcare Workers in a General Hospital in B City who signed on the written consent participated in this study between February 12 and 28, 2017. A total of 244 copies were collected and were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program. The result mean score perception of Hospital environment was 3.26(${\pm}0.31$)point on a scale of 0 to 5, and Organizational culture 3.74(${\pm}0.54$)point, Reporting system 3.64(${\pm}0.57$)point. Factors influencing on perception of medical errors report is sex(${\beta}=.137$, p=.023), Type of occupation(${\beta}=289$, p=.001), Department of Nursing(${\beta}=-.196$, p=.023), Hospital environment(${\beta}=.327$, p=<.001), Organizational culture(${\beta}=.288$, p=<.001). Therefore management and hospital management efforts should be made to establish a system that enables healthcare workers to report without fear of medical errors reporting, and appropriate staffing and open communication.

  • In these days the patient can be easy to see the treatment results at home without going directly to hospital. Despite the many advantages that the patient is got optimum service timely, the currently used personal healthcare devices have no compatibility because the manufacturer use the proprietary software and hardware protocols. For these issues, standardization is required between the set-top box and the individual healthcare devices. In this paper, we designed the healthcare set-top box possible to biometric data transmission by using a standard IEEE P11073 between the device and the set-top box. Because the set-top box using IEEE P11073 standardization can transfer data independently, we are expected to make it contribute significantly to the healthcare business.

  • With the increasing number of chronic disease patients, the importance of everyday health care has grown more significant. The study researchers expected it would help for patients' health improvement and healthcare service expansion if users check their vital signs in their daily lives and send the results to a medical center's servers through a specific device automatically. This thesis, in line with this idea, seeks to develop a portable healthcare gateway. The gateway is designed in a USB type and can transmit standardized data, operating regardless of a user's location and Personal Healthcare Devices (PHDs). The developed portable healthcare gateway provides effective services in ubiquitous environments to customers, which will improve the health of chronic patients.
