A Study on the Comparison of Educational Effects between Convergence Majors and Single Majors in R Lecture

  • The purpose of this paper is an analysis of the difference between convergence majors and single majors in the convergence core competency and educational performance. We used survey data for the analysis of the convergence core competencies, the results of the midterm and final exams for the education performance. Analysis targets are 10 students in big data business intelligence at Seokyeong University as convergence majors and 11 students in business administration as single majors. The target course was an analysis of economic data provided in the second semester of 2019. And the lecture contents were analysis of big data using R programming. The survey was conducted on December 5, 2019. The convergence core competences were creative thinking, critical thinking, understanding convergence knowledge, problem solving ability, communication skills, cooperation ability, use of convergence tools, consideration, and responsibility. As results of homogeneity tests, we found that there was no significant difference in all competencies, but there were very significant differences in the educational performance evaluated by the midterm and final exams. Therefore we can see willingness to convergence of single majors was no different from that of convergence majors, but had not led to practice. It is desirable to activate and support convergence courses.

  • For creative spatial design education, the convergence between new communication and education needs to be grafted including online, for which empirical research, this study is attempted. The goal of this study is to educate spatial design, systematically understand communication methods and analyze familiarity level and usefulness of on offline communication methods through actual spatial design studio class-giving cases. Its research outcome shows differing communication methods usefully applicable to stages of spatial design and methods enabling bilateral communication among class-takers as well as class-givers prove to be recognized as more useful than unilateral communication methods. Also, it proves familiarity and usefulness of online communication methods accompanied by visual materials such as images and etc. Based upon this result, it's necessary that various convergence for new communication methods for spatial design education be made in a right direction.

Design of Hybrid Communication Structure for Video Transmission in Drone Systems (드론 영상 전송용 하이브리드 통신 구조의 설계)

  • In modern society drones are actively utilized in the fields of security, defense, agriculture, communication and so on. Smart technology and artificial intelligence software have been developed with convergence, and the field of use is expected to expand further. On the point of the excellent performance of drones one of the essential technologies is the wireless communication that make the ground facility receive the video streaming obtained by the drones in the air. In the research the concept of communication region is proposed to cover the both the low altitude region for Wi-Fi communication and the high altitude region for LTE communication for the sake of video transmission. Also the hybrid communication structure is designed along the proposed concept and the proposed system is implemented as a communication system in the small size which can be mounted in a small size of drone. It is confirmed that the proposed system contains the effectiveness by showing the ability to successfully transmit HD video streaming in the range of 500 meters and the transfer time between two different communication systems is measured in 200msec by the experiments.

A Fast Algorithm for Real-time Adaptive Notch Filtering

  • A new algorithm is presented for adaptive notch filtering of narrow band or sine signals for embedded among broad band noise. The notch filter is implemented as a constrained infinite impulse response filter with a minimal number of parameters, Based on the recursive prediction error (RPE) method, the algorithm has the advantages of the fast convergence, accurate results and initial estimate of filter coefficient and its covariance is revealed. A convergence criterion is also developed. By using the information of the noise-to-signal power, the algorithm can self-adjust its initial filter coefficient estimate and its covariance to ensure convergence.

The Convergence Relation of Communication, Emotional Labor, and Organizational Commitment among Nurse (간호사의 의사소통능력, 감정노동, 조직몰입 간의 융합관계)

  • This study was attempted to grasp the convergence relationship between nurse 's communication ability, emotional labor and organizational commitment. For this purpose, 106 nurses working at university hospitals were collected from August 1, 2016 to August 15, 2016. Communication skills were measured by Kim & Woo 's communication ability measurement tool, emotional labor was measured by Morris & Feldman' s tool, and organizational commitment was developed by Mowday et al. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. The results showed that the communication ability differed according to age (F = 5.78, p = 0.004), marital status (t = -4.06, p <0.001) and position (t = -5.35, p <0.001). There was a statistically significant correlation between communication ability and organizational commitment (r = 0.293, p = 0.002). This result suggests a convergence implication on the provision of basic data to improve organizational commitment of nurses in nursing practice field.

  • This study empirically analyzed the influence of communication and social support on the organizational immersion of salespeople in cosmetic brand shops in Seoul. Communication and social support were set as independent variables as factors affecting organizational immersion. Communication variables were subordinate variables such as formal communication, communication with supervisor, and communication with colleagues. Sub-variables of social support factors were set as support of superiors and support of colleagues. As a result of the analysis, communication factors such as formal communication, communication with supervisor, communication with colleagues were analyzed as the significant influencing factors on the organizational immersion of workers. The support of supervisor was analyzed as the significant factors influencing the organizational immersion of workers. However, support of colleagues was analyzed as a factor that did not affect the organizational immersion of workers.

  • In order to prevent illegal fishing and reduce lost fishing gear, it is necessary to develop a constant and continuous fishing gear monitoring system in the marine environment. In this paper, we design a long-term operational, reliable system model with communication coverage of more than 25Km considering the reality of gradually expanding fishing activity due to the depletion of fishery resources and marine environments. The design results are implemented to verify the operability of the system by separating the communication success rate of SKT and private LoRa networks and verifying the control function of each control system through the collected location information, respectively.

  • Motivated by the Communication Broadcasting Convergence service, various technical approaches are being used to develop more efficient antenna models. This paper proposes a compact mobile antenna which is attachable to a cell phone and is applicable for Communication Broadcasting Convergence. In the design of the antennas for mobile handsets, size reduction is a crucial factor. In this paper, the compactness of a loop antenna is realized by bending a folded-dipole. A short planar dipole is transformed to a twice folded dipole and a loop antenna to produce a larger input resistance. The current distribution of the antenna is the same as a loop antenna, and its radiation patterns are omni-directional. We also analyze the performance of the RFID antenna by exploring the current-induced near field radiation patterns using a electro-optic field mapping system.
