This study identified technological trends through an analysis of patents for the industrialization of personal protection and convenience equipment using information and communication technology (ICT) as a part of efforts to prevent farm work-related disasters. The analysis was conducted on patents registered and published between January 1974 and May 2016 by the world's five largest intellectual property offices, including the KIPO, USPTO, JPO, EPO, and SIPO. The results of the analysis indicate that the US (36.8%) and South Korea (30.9%) led technological research and development (R&D) with frequent patent applications. An analysis of the technological market revealed that these countries are in the growth and maturity stages, in which the number of patents and number of patent applicants grow rapidly. In terms of the technological market shares of major countries, the US recorded the highest market shares in the field of sensing systems for workers' dangerous conditions and convenience protection equipment based on the internet of things (IoT) convergence. South Korea marked the highest share of 41.8% in the field of sensing devices for dangerous conditions in the working environment. An analysis of the trend of patent applications by specific technologies disclosed the following results: sensing systems for workers' dangerous conditions accounted for the highest share (49.2%), followed by IoT convergence-based convenience protection equipment (26.3%) and sensing devices for dangerous conditions in the working environment (24.6%). Based on this study, ICT-based personal protection and convenience equipment technologies are expected to be actively developed in the future. It will be necessary to secure national competitiveness through R&D investments and commercialization in personal protection and convenience equipment appropriate for farm work as well as through the acquisition of patent technologies and intellectual property rights.

This paper seeks to show the factors, such as area and building conditions, exterior spatial conditions, and educational equipment, which affect student learning and rest activities in the school facilities. It also develops the order for the factors related to the activities. It collected available data at Shangyoung and Bongsoa Middle Schools in Chunan Chungnam, Korea. Using a t-test and multiple regression analyses, it found the factors affecting activities in different schools. It found that the facility and equipment conditions of the two schools are different. It also found that the planning objectives such as the adaptability of the facilities and equipment, information technology of the equipment, student supervision, and convenience of use of the facilities, in order, are important for planning for new buildings in urban area. And the planning objectives such as the adaptability of the facilities and equipment, the safety of the building, the convenience of use of the facilities, aesthetics, information technology of the equipment, the degree of health benefits are important in order to plan for the renovation of school buildings in urban areas. Thus, it asserts that, considering the planning objectivies developed above, a planner can construct planning objectives for new constuction or renovation of school buildings.

Traditional folk houses in Yongdong, Gangwon province play important roles in figuring out natural, human, and social value in the past time including housing life. However, according to the introduction of electric or plumbing equipment in housing life styles, many conventional architectures have been changed by installations of new electric or plumbing equipment, convenience facilities, and etc. Therefore, this study aims to make basic data to prepare for standardized installations of the electric or plumbing equipment, and convenience facilities by surveying of the present installation status, such as electric lights, outlets, switches, wiring, pipe laying, or monitoring devices for crime, disaster prevention facilities, and home appliances etc. Additionally, this paper is related to the meaning and usage, which are connected with the electric or plumbing equipment installations of the traditional folk houses to be prepare for the proper solutions between preservations of the original form and convenient lives for residents.

Operation data and fault data are recorded at the TCMS(Train Control and Monitoring System) of train are very important record for repairs and inspection of train. there are two ways to transfer the data today. one is using memory card and the other is using wireless communications. This paper is proposed about TCMS wireless depot analytical equipment that transfers data recorded in train to depot equipment via wireless method. The TCMS wireless depot equipment configuration is an AP(Access Point) and a central server PC at depot equipment. This method has the advantage of decrease of personnel expenses, collection time and convenience of staffs. This paper is verified about the utility of use, efficient establishment position of an AP at depot, the safety of data receiving, the exactitude of data and the shortening of transmission time. and this equipment is now operating at shin-jeong depot of SeoulMetro.

최근 요트에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 요트를 보유하고 있고 운전면허를 취득한 사람도 증가하고 있다. 따라서 입출항 등록 및 승선명부 등을 작성해야 하는 불편함과 요트 유지보수 등의 불편이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 요트 내부에 모듈화 장비 구현을 통하여 GPS, Lidar, 통신장비 등을 손쉽게 장치하고, 스마트폰 등을 이용해 모듈화 장비에 접속하여 항로 설정 및 각종 편의 기능을 이용할 수 있도록 한다.

Objective: This study developed a new shower carrier prototype to reduce caregivers' muscle burden and to increase use convenience by reflecting the needs of domestic long-term care institutions. Background: In the long-term care institutions, one of the ADL(Activities of Daily Life) factors is bathing/showering. Recently, bath/shower-assisting equipment is actively being introduced in care institutions to reduce the caregivers' care cost, but most of the domestic equipment was designed to imitate foreign products and rarely reflected the needs of care institutions. Method: Based on Korean elderly people's body information, the bed size(length: 1,900mm, width: 650mm) was set-up, and a variable headrest with a newly designed headform was developed to provide the comfort for the elderly and convenience for caregivers. To reduce caregivers' muscle burden on transferring and showering activities, a 3-step column lifting module equipped with dual actuators(lowest/highest levels from the ground: 600/1,100mm, Stroke: 500mm) was developed, and the wheelbase parameter(length: 1,250mm, width: 580mm) was defined securing the turn-over safety of the shower carrier. The drivability tests were performed for the prototype and foreign product, and the male and female subject's muscle activities were measured through the tests. Results: The structural stability of the shower carrier prototype was secured by finite element analysis, and the muscle activities of the subjects through the drivability tests largely decreased in the prototype, compared to the foreign product. Conclusion: In this study, a new shower carrier prototype was developed to possibly reduce caregivers' muscle burden and to increase use convenience based on the needs of long-term care institutions. It was expected that the drivability performance of the prototype could be relatively superior to that of the foreign product. Application: The results obtained from the study can be applied for the optimal development of a shower carrier including other equipment to effectively care for the elderly.

산업기술 변화에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 현장중심의 공학교육을 위해서는 현장경험이 풍부한 강사, 교재, 교육콘텐츠와 더불어 현장과 연계된 교육장비의 활용이 반드시 필요하다. 기존의 교육장비는 현장중심이 아닌 해당 기술을 쉽고 편리하게 교육하기 위한 보편적인 장비가 주류를 이루고 있다. 이는 산업기술 변화에 따라 관련 공학교육이 뒷받침되고 있지 못하고 현장교육과 점점 멀어져가는 이유이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 공학교육에 있어서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 교육훈련 장비의 개발사례를 살펴보고 이들 장비를 실제 교육에 활용하였을 때의 만족도 조사를 분석하여 향후 현장중심의 공학교육에 적합한 교육장비 개발 및 활용 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

본 연구는 노인들이 주로 사용하는 야외운동 기구의 특허 현황을 분석하여 노인들의 건강증진을 위한 기초 자료 활용에 목적이 있다. 특허 검색은 특허청 정보 검색 서비스인 키프리스에서 수집하였다. 검색어는 '야외운동기구'이며, 직접적으로 관련된 특허 157건을 최종 선정하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 시대별 특허 경향은 2007년부터 특허 등록이 시작되었으며, 매년 2-3건의 특허가 등록되었다. 둘째, 발전모듈이 작동하여 전기를 생산할 수 있고, 사용자 운동량에 정보를 제공하거나 특성상 중량추 분실 및 도난과 안전사고 방지 등 무선 통신 이용 운동처방 시스템을 제공하는 스포츠융합 관점의 특허가 조사되었다. 마지막으로 사용자 편의성 제공, 운동기구 사용빈도를 증가시킬 수 있는 운동기구 관련 특허가 조사되었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 야외운동기구가 점점 노인과 편의성 중심으로 개발된다는 점과 기업 및 공공기관에서 노인 야외운동기구에 관심 확대가 나타나고 있음을 파악하였다. 향후 실용적이고 편리한 야외운동기구 개발을 위하여 특허 추이 분석 이외에 야외 운동기구 활용 운동 프로그램과 연계한 후속적인 연구가 필요하겠다.

This study examines the inconveniences and problems of established safety-equipment by investigating the actual conditions for elderly people who use welfare services such as wheel chairs provided by care institutions. Suggestions will be made on how to improve the function and convenience of use to suit the needs of the elderly and how to create beautiful wheel chair safety-wear. Medical treatment helpers for the elderly were surveyed about the wearing conditions of wheel chair safety equipment. The present wheel chair safety equipment was shown to be aesthetically unpleasant; in addition, feelings of restriction and unpleasantness were noted (concerning the wearing of the equipment). In addition, there was no feeling of fixed stability. The wheel chair safety-wear that has been designed reflects the inconveniences and problems of current wheel chair safety equipment in material, design, and patterns along with the results of those surveys. Both objective and subjective tests compared the manufactured safety-wear with current equipment. According to the results, the new safety-wear is superior than existing ones.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the perceived physical environments of hotel kitchens influence cooking employees' internal responses. According to the analysis results of this study, except Hypothesis 2 which was rejected in this study, all the hypotheses were partially accepted. These results support the research hypotheses of this study that comfort, spatiality, and convenience as physical environments will have significant effects on emotional response and cognitive response. Also, equipment use as convenience had statistically significant effects on both emotional response and cognitive response whereas working environment as comfort and kitchen circulation and working space as spatiality had no effect. Therefore, kitchen environment should be set up in the direction of guaranteeing kitchen convenience to the maximum, and the further researches on the constituent factors which have no effect on emotional response and cognitive response should be proceeded continuously.
