This research started from the premise that Jacques Perret, "Savoyard gentleman" of the 17th century - whose only legacy consists of Des fortifications et artifices, a book of fortified town designs - is still an elusive figure in the history of architecture and deserves to be further investigated. In particular, attention needs to be paid to the lack of any attempt by scholars to define his actual professional status and cultural background: was he an architect, an engineer, a professional or an amateur? The intention of this paper is therefore to shed some light on this question by examining selected contents of his book describing five projects of fortified towns. Plates and descriptions are carefully analyzed related to the engineering (defensive structures) and architectural (city layouts, buildings) content. The figure that emerges is that of an articulate personality who does not fit either in the architectural or in the military engineering professional world. In the field of engineering, he simultaneously demonstrated the competence of a professional and the na$\ddot{i}$vety of an immature technician, while in the field of architecture he showed an advanced creativity alongside several technical and theoretical misunderstandings. From the analysis in this study, the assumption is formulated that Jacques Perret was a connoisseur, i.e. an erudite without any direct involvement in real professional activity. This work is intended to provide a hypothesis for further researches that, hopefully, will deepen our understanding of several other aspects of Perret's complex identity and work.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the present state of the enriched contents of OPACs of public libraries in Korea. Examined are the OPACs of 125 public libraries which hold Jeon Du-hwan Hoegorok, and 260 public libraries which hold Banil Jongjokjuui retrieved from KOLIS-NET of the National Library of Korea from Sept. through Oct. 2019. The enriched contents of these controversial books are mostly provided by Naver, Daum, and Aladin Internet Bookstore, and their so-called summaries, reviews, etc. are actually only excerpts supplied by publishers. They are given only as a link to external sources or the whole or partial display in a bibliographic record. Since these enriched contents contain only publishers' promotional statements, but not any objective and professional review, they are not much useful for library users. Therefore, more active participation of librarians in creating or evaluating the enriched contents are proposed, especially for such controversial books.

"Yumunsachin(儒門事親)" is a very important work that contains everything of Jangjahwa(張子和)'s medical thought. The book was made into present form after the process of change several times. These days the printed book is consist of 10 classes and 15 volumes that combine several books. Original "Yumunsachin(儒門事親)" was the name of volume 1, 2, 3, "Chibyeongbaekbang(治病百法)" volume4, 5, "Siphyeongsamnyo(十形三標)" volume 6, 7, 8, "Japgigumun(雜記九門)" volume 9, "Chwalyodo(撮要圖)" volume 10, "Chibyeongbaekbang(治病雜論)" volume 11, "Sambeop-yukmun(三法六門)" volume 12, "Samsoron(三消論)" volume 13, "Chibeoppillyo(治法心要)" volume 14, and "Sinhyomyeongbang(神效名方)" volume 15. "Yumunsachin(儒門事親)" is a collection of a few books so, the literary style isn't uniform. The unconformity show that "Yumunsachin(儒門事親)" was not written by one person. The problem who is the writer of each volume remains controversial. But most scholars recognize that volume 1, 2, 3, original "Yumunsachin(儒門事親)" and was written by Jangjahwa(張子和), embellished by Majigi(麻知幾). Also, it is recognized that "Samsoron(三消論)" was collected by Majigi(麻知幾) and inserted by posterity, and that Sangjungmyeong(常仲明) and Nangi(欒企) who were Jang[張子和]'s disciples participated in compilation of "Yumunsachin(儒門事親)". Therefore, it is sure that the contents of the book express Jangjahwa(張子和)'s medical thought.

The purpose of this study is to improve the experiment of dihydrogen production which was newly added to the 7th curriculum of the elementary science education. For this study, the teachers who had taught 6th grade students were asked about the difficulties they ever had in the dihydrogen production experiment by questionnaire. And the contents of the science textbook and teachers' guide book were analyzed. According to this investigation, the following controversial points were found. First, they didn't have exact explanations about the concentration of hydrochloric acid and the quantity of hydrochloric acid and magnesium in the science textbook and teachers' guide book. Second, the experiment which can show well the nature of dihydrogen was not included because of the safety problem. So this paper presents the ideal condition for the production of dihydrogen and an experimental method to show the nature of dihydrogen. The most ideal condition of dihydrogen production includes 40 mL of 2 molarity hydrochloric acid and 1 g of magnesium. It took 5' 42＆apos; on average to gather two bottles (250 mL) of dihydrogen. In this condition it was possible to reduce the risk of accidents and to economize the materials. This paper proposes the experiment of dihydrogen explosion with a test tube and a film box which is not included in the 7th scince textbook. If teachers show the experiment of dihydrogen explosion with a test tube or film box to students at a class, it will be more interesting for students. And they will be able to help students to understand that dihydrogen can be gathered.

From the Darwinian perspective, all the human behaviors and thoughts are operated by "the selfish gene," the term coined by Richard Dawkins, which has long been evolving to survive by utilizing the limited quality and quantity of resources. And an organism which fails to regenerate by creating its "replicator" is doomed to extinction, for gene combinations which help an organism to survive and reproduce tend to also improve the gene's own chances of being passed on through generations. Dawkins also coins the term "meme" for a unit of human cultural evolution analogous to the gene, suggesting that such selfish replication may also be the principle for human culture. Ian McEwan is not only a controversial but more importantly influential writer in the 21st century academic world. His 1997 book Enduring Love is not exceptional in that it draws both literary and scientific attention. Intentionally set up with the dynamic conflict between the two cultures, namely art and science, the book explores the way in which the state of the modern minds is misinterpreted and estranged by each other. In this novel, the three main protagonists, Joe, Clarissa, and Jed, each representing the very important three elements of human civilization-cognition/science, emotion/art, and faith/religion-meet an unexpected peril of life. The author of the novel employs the narrative of evolutionary science-in particular the narratives of gene and meme-to provoke the question of the two cultures famously addressed by Snow in the mid 20th century and the further discussions followed by the later Darwinian scholars such as Richard Dawkins. In this paper I aim to illustrate the way in which the author develops the idea of gene science and literature and how he proceeds to provide a sophisticated bridge between the two cultures and induce a kind of consilience by the recurrent name of love in the story of Enduring Love.

This Paper is research for Yulgok School(栗谷學派)'s lixue(禮學) in the first half of 17c centering around Uiremunhae(疑禮問解) and Uiremunhaesuk(疑禮問解續). Uiremunhae and Uiremunhaesuk are a book between Kim Jangsaeng(金長生) Kim Jip(金集) and his follower's questions & answers about li. A book or letter of questions & answers about li is useful for comprehension of lixue's opinion, especially questions & answers about controversial li shows their critical mind and a foundation of cognition for li. Thus I make showing then situation of Kim Jangsaeng and his follower in relates to understanding and performing Zhuxi's family rituals on analyzing questions & answers about controversial li. Kim Jangsaeng Kim Jip and his follower's characteristic of lixue are several on analyzing Uiremunhae. First, Kim Jangsaeng and his follower researched for Zhuxi's family rituals with systematic approach and in-depth research, and detailed in reference to the Classic of li, Zhuxi, Zheongyi(程?), Zangzai(張載)'s thoery of li and chinese lixue data, and Lee Hwang(李滉), Lee Yi(李珥), Song Yikpil(宋翼弼), Jeong Goo(鄭逑)'s thoery of li and korean lixue data. Next, on questions & answers about controversial li, Kim and his follower basically maintained following Zhuxi's family rituals. Zonfa, sacrificial rituals and funeral rituals are all such that, and if there happened omission and contradiction in Zhuxi's family rituals, they refered to Zhuxi's theory of li on the collected works of Zhuxi and the analects of Zhuxi and searched righteous li by historial invesigation. Then, Kim and his follower critically were in succession to Lee Yi and Song Yikpil's thoery of li. finally, They also had to considered then situation on li(Zhuxi's family rituals' li and ancient li)'s operation and actualizatin on considering principle and mind of li.

If a company's actions to save or avoid taxes are judged to be tax evasion rather than legal tax action by the tax authorities, the company will not only pay tax but also non-tax costs such as damage to corporate image and stock price decline due to a series of tax evasion-related news articles. Therefore, this study measures the frequency of occurrence of tax evasion controversial keywords in internet news portal as a factor to measure the severity of the case, and analyzes the effect of the frequency of occurrence on corporate value. In the Korean stock market, we crawl related articles from internet news portal by using keywords that are controversial for tax evasion targeting top companies based on market capitalization, and generate a time series of the frequency of occurrence of keywords about tax evasion by company and analyze the effect of frequency of appearance on book value versus market capitalization. Through panel regression and impulse response analysis, it is analyzed that the frequency of appearance has a negative effect on the market capitalization and the effect gradually decreases until 12 months. This study examines whether the tax evasion issue affects the corporate value of Korean companies and suggests that it is necessary to take these influences into account when entrepreneurs set up tax-planning schemes.

The book is a footnote of life and memory, a sign of knowledge and intelligence, including divinity and reason, idols and destruction, praise and curse, arrogance and prejudice, truth and falsehood. The past emperors, monarchs, priests, and rulers have been controlled or slaughtered by censorship and prohibition, burning and destruction, etc. In ancient history, archaeology, war history, cultural history, and library and information science, many studies have been conducted on the burning and destruction of books, but the Western perspective is dominant, and there are nationalistic approaches and logical leaps. This study traced the truth about the destruction of the Royal Library of Alexandria in Egypt, destruction of the Baghdad libraries by the Mongol Empire, and burning more than 200,000 volumes of Korean historical documents of Japanese Government-General in Korea among the major bibliocausts with many mysteries and controversial issues in the East and West. As a result, the Royal Library of Alexandria is most likely destroyed under the rule of the Roman Empire. The massacre of the Baghdad library by the Mongolian army is a historical fact, not the manipulation and extreme exaggeration of western society. And Korean historical documents have been stolen and burned by the Government-General of Chōsen for 35 years and should be recognized as '200,000 + α'. Lastly, On the premise of excavating historical materials, research to investigate the truth behind the blibiocaust or libricide should be continued.

Many recent British novels engage with the construction and deconstruction of history and identity; and in dealing with these historical, or historicised novels it seems to be an untouchable ground that truth is beyond grasp. Even when approached, its authenticity should be examined under the post-modern "incredulity toward metanarrative" discourses. Julian Barnes's 1998 novel England, England may be one of these. Yet, unlike others it achieves a complicated and controversial status as a new kind of historiographic metafiction by providing selfconscious reflections on the invention of innocence and the questionable notion of historical authenticity against the background of current postmodern historical, cultural, and literary explorations. The book, set in a near-future, namely post-post-modern England, starts with a story of a young girl, Martha Cochrane, whose first memory goes back to her early infantile years. Yet, the narrator comments that it is a lie, "her first artfully, innocently arranged lie," since memory, or history, is a product of identity, and vice versa. Her memory of the jigsaw puzzle is both a reminiscent and a significant component of who she is now, both a simulacrum and the original of herself. The correlation between her individual memory and identity parallels that of a region, England, in formation of its history and nationality. "England, England" is the replicated miniature of the former glorious Kingdom as well as a becoming der Ding an sich (the thing itself). In search of the English history and identity, the author satirizes the modern mind's perception of the unreliability and arbitrariness of memory and history, and further explores the alternative to the postmodern discourses by suggesting the probability of inventing innocence glimpsed in children's face "believing while disbelieving." In doing so, the author reconstructs not only the history of Englishness on the ground where nothing seems to be solid, but more importantly also the postmodern theme of relativity in relation to memory, history and identity.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between intangible asset items and company value by empirical research in the medical industry, which may enhance usefulness of the results of other empirical research on intangible asset and company value. In order to attain the purpose of this study, the stock price is taken as the independent variable and all of intangible asset items reported to a balance sheet except the development expenditures and other development expenditures, and advertisement expenses, ordinary research & development expenditures reported on the income statement are taken as the dependent variables. In the following, I carried out four meaningful results from the analysis. First, research hypothesis 1; Book value of intangible asset reported in balance sheet bears positive relationship with company value shows that development expenditures 1 variable gives positive association in a significant level while a group of \10,000-above-company shows no relationship with company value, the other group of below-\10,000-company supports a consistently significant association. All this considering, we have to keep in mind that lack of prudence may leads to wrong results when we try to analyze. Second, research hypothesis 2; Intangible asset and other intangible asset expenditures reported on the income statement gives positive effect on company value shows that R&D accounts variables give insignificance in a statistical level to all company, including entire group, \10,000-above and below consistently. These results testify that current accounting system is valid. Third, in the case of other intangible asset, it requires further examination of current KAS because statistical results show negatively significant value or insignificant value in a statistical level. That means the more intangible assets, the less company value or nothing. Last, in the case of advertisement expenditure variables of above-\10,000 and entire company shows insignificances in a statistical level consistently while below-\10,000-company shows significant result coherently. We should regard accounting information on the advertisement expenditures of \10,000-below-company with caution. The results of this study provide controversial points whether intangible asset items reported on B/S, excluding development expenditures, should be regarded as asset. To facilitate the utility of accounting information on intangible asset, it seems necessary to regard advertisement expenditures reported on I/S as asset accounts. There are further arguments on the way of dealing with intangible asset under KAS that might be considered.
