비접지 분로 콘덴서 뱅크의 투입제어방식에 대한 시뮬레이션 검증 (Verification of Controlled Closing Method for Unearthed Shunt Capacitor Banks by Simulation)

  • In this paper the controlled closing algorithm of the circuit breaker for isolated capacitor banks is proposed. The characteristics of circuit breakers such as RDDS(rate of decrease of dielectric strength) and a mechanical operating tolerance should be also taken into account to locate contact touch instants around voltage zero. The analysis results on the voltages across circuit breaker terminals upon closing operation play an important roles to describe the suggested method. The simulations carried out in order to verify the performance of this method show that the closing instants obtained from the proposed method provide a good suppression effect on the closing transients for both single and back-to-back capacitor banks.

  • The non-controlled closing of High-voltage SF6 gas circuit breaker can cause transient current and overvoltage in the field. The controlled closing technology is an effective way to reduce transient current and voltage, prevent equipment failures, and improve power quality. For the development of controlled closing, it is obviously necessary to determine the withstand voltage between arc contacts of High-voltage SF6 gas circuit breaker in making operation. This paper focuses on decrease of pressure and density of SF6 gas that can affect withstand voltage between arc contacts in making operation. The dielectric strength between arc contacts could be improved by minimizing the decrement of pressure and density of SF6 gas obtained by simulation and test and moreover the rate of decrease of dielectric strength (RDDS) of arc contacts could be foreseen.

  • Studies on the controlled switching method have been done to prevent the power system surges which cause the insulation deterioration and electro magnetic compatibility (EMC) problems during closing and opening of a circuit breaker. The controlled switching method controls the closing and tripping time in coincidence with the voltage or current to suppress switching surge. It is used to switch condenser bank, no load transformer, and shunt reactor. In this study, basic concept of the controlled switching is introduced, and also the test is performed to find parameters of the controlled switching in a 24kV vacuum circuit. And then, the control device hardware using TMS320C31 DSP has been designed and manufactured. It has been found that the application of IT technology to a circuit breaker is very effective to depress the switching surge.

  • In this paper the controlled closing algorithm to locate contact touch instants within the span in which the making voltage is minimized is proposed with the characteristics of circuit breakers such as RDDS(rate of decrease of dielectric strength) and a mechanical operating tolerance taken into account. The analytic results on the voltages across circuit breaker terminals upon closing operation play an important roles as references to describe the suggested method. Even though in the case of the isolated neutral capacitor banks, it is possible to decide the optimum contact instants without any dedicated procedures.

  • A lot of industrial chemical processes contain certain input nonlinearities even though they are controlled by several linear controllers. Here we investigate a sequential loop closing identification method for MIMO Hammerstein nonlinear processes with diagonal nonlinearities. The proposed method separates the identification of the nonlinear static function from that of the linear subsystem by using a relay feedback test and a triangular type signal test. From 2 n activations for n n MIMO nonlinear processes, we sequentially identify the whole range of the nonlinear static function as well as the transfer function matrix of the linear subsystem.

  • Three types of floating-type automatic inlet were developed for the purpose of reduc- ing farmer's working hours required for water management and saving irrigation water. The point of automation is to use a float within the inlet which is floated and sinked by the ponding depth of paddy field, Thus opens and closes the control gate of irrigation. Suitability of each inlet may depend on production cost, applicability to paddy field condi- tions, and feasibility to farmers, etc. The first model was composed of three parts : chamber for irrigation control gate, chamber for float controlled by ponding depth, and connection bar between the two parts. It was designed to open and close the control gate gradually as the ponding depth drops and rises to a certain level. The second model was designed to improve the weak point of the first model which is the imperfect-closing of gate when it approaches to the end of ir- rigation. A switch-spring was equipped above the connection bar for perfect opening and closing of gate when the ponding depth reaches to a certain level. The third model was designed by combining the two chambers, that is, cut in halves the inlet volume of the above two models. Magnets were equipped above the float for perfect opening and closing gate. The functional experiment for three developed inlets was successfully carried out and the rating curves were derived.

  • It is difficult to install a ventilation window on the roof of single span greenhouse of arch shape. Investigation on the roof ventilation structure for those greenhouses was conducted. The effect of roof ventilation was evaluated by comparative experiments between greenhouse installing roof vent and having controlled side vent only. And ventilation efficiency was analyzed by experiments on the opening and closing operation of the roof and side vent.

  • The manufactured pulsed power system with 500kA current is described in this paper. The capacitor bank, control cabinent, dec charging unit, closing switch and dumping box, cable system etc. employed with the system components are described. Especially the development of the inverse pinch switch controlled by gas puffing enabled the generation of the very high voltage and current.

  • 최근 디젤 차량의 NOx와 PM의 동시 저감을 위해 EGR 밸브와 EGR 쿨러로 구성된 modulated EGR 시스템이 디젤엔진에 장착되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 modulated EGR 시스템의 성능 평가를 위한 test bench를 설계, 제작한 후 2.0 L 디젤엔진용 전자식 EGR 밸브를 시험하였다. 또한 전자식 EGR 밸브의 성능을 밸브양정의 거동, 밸브 개폐시의 응답성, 밸브 통과 유량을 통하여 평가하였다. PWM 신호의 듀티율에 따른 밸브 양정의 거동은 비선형적이었으며, 밸브 개방과 폐쇄의 경로가 상이한 히스테리시스 현상을 나타냈다. 밸브 개방시 응답성은 통상의 기준을 만족하여 적절하였다. 끝으로 밸브 통과 유량은 듀티율 $40{\sim}60%$에서 듀티율과 밸브 전후의 차압에 의해 결정되나, 듀티율 60%이상에서는 차압에만 의존하였다.

  • Platform Screen Door System is a facility on platform to separate platform from track, having automatic sliding door structures interlocked to opening and closing of train door with integrated control unit. When a train comes to a stop at a designed position at a station, onboard ATC/ATO system transmits train berth signal to wayside signaling system. In case of automatic/driverless operation, opening and closing of the Platform Screen Door will be controlled by wayside signaling system. Unfortunately, we often see the case in news that passengers fall into track and their contact with train lead to critical accidents. However, passengers will be free from such accidents on the platform with the Platform Screen Door System. Especially during the rush hours, to ensure passenger's safety and smooth getting on & off, it is necessary to arrange. some station staffs on the platform without the Platform Screen Door System. On the other hand, the Platform Screen Door System will realize such operation by fewer staffs. Due to the above reasons, the Platform Screen Door System is becoming more popular in subway system recently.
