  • The sensorless speed control technique for BLDCM using digital IP control is proposed in this paper for advanced speed characteristic which is robust for loads. The sensorless drive of BLDCM using terminal voltages is affected by load or speed because it uses analog filters to estimate the rotor position. For this reason, the robust speed controller with the accurate rotor position estimator is needed for sensorless control which is robust to load and insensitive to motor parameters. The constant speeds robust to load variation and the stable sensorless control of BLDCM robust to the increase or decrease of speed with constant load are implemented using digital IP control in this paper. The validity to these is established with experimentation.

  • The propulsion marine diesel engine have been widely applied with a mechanical- hydraulic governor to control the ship speed for long time. But it was recently very difficult for the mechani¬cal - hydraulic governor to control the speed of engine under the condition of low speed and low load because of jiggling by rough fluctuation of rotating torque and hunting by dead time of Desiel engnie The performance improvement of mechanical - hydraulic governor is required to solve these problems of control system. The electro - hydraulic governor using PID algorithm is provided to compensate the faults of mechanical- hydraulic governor. In this paper, in order to analyze the ship speed control system, the transfer function was converted from the z tansformation to w transformation. The influence of dead time changing by engine speed which induces hunting phenomena was investigated by Nichols chart of w plane. As a method of performance improvement of mechanical hydraulic governor, a Eletro - hydraulic governor shows that fine control results can be obtained through optimal parameter tuning of PID

  • In this paper, the fuzzy control logic of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) is introduced to apply the variable speed drive system. Since the speed-torque property of SRM has high speed variation to the changes of torque like a DC motor, to apply SRM to the variable speed driving system, the optimal speed-torque control method is required.   • When the vector control, which does not need a speed? signal from a mechanical speed sensor, it is possible to reduce the cost of the control equipment and to improve the control performance in many industrial application. This paper describes a rotor speed identification method of induction motor based on the theory of flux model reference adaptive system. The estimator execute the rotor speed identification so that the vector control of the induction motor may be achieved. The improved auxiliary variable of the two model are introduced to perform accurate rotor speed estimation. Simulation result show the validity of the proposed control method.

  • This study deals with the speed control of an overcentered variable-displacement hydraulic motor on a constant pressure network, which is noted for its high system efficiency fast dynamic response and energy recovery capability. The speed control characteristics of the conventional cascade PI controller are largely affected by load-torque disturbances. To obtain robust speed control despite torque disturbances, the load torque is estimated by an observer based on a mathematical model and compensated for by a feedforward loop. It is shown by experiment that robust speed control may be obtained with the proposed controller. The experimental data agree fairly well with the theoretical analysis.

Simultaneous Estimation of Rotor Speed and Rotor Resistance of an Induction Motor Using Variable Rotor Flux

  • In this paper, a new speed sensorless induction motor scheme which can estimate rotor speed and rotor resistance simultaneously is presented. The rotor flux with a low frequency sinusoidal waveform is used to conduct on-line simultaneous estimation of the rotor speed and rotor resistance. Hence the proposed sensorless control method is robust to rotor resistance variations. Also, the control scheme has no current minor loop to determine voltage references. It contributes to good control performance at low speeds. Some simulation results supported by experiments are given to show the effectiveness of this method.

  • This paper proposes a speed sensorless vector control of induction motor using a minimum-order EKF(extended kalman filter). Minimum-order EKF has the advantage of reducing the computational estimation cost because the stator current is not estimated. EKF does not deteriorate the performance of the overall speed control system, even though the measurements are relatively noisy. The estimated rotor speed is used for vector control and overall speed control. Computer simulations of the speed sensorless vector control are carried out to test the usefulness of the minimum-order EKF algorithm.

  • 논문에서는 극저속 영역 및 저속 영역에서 안정적이고 동특성이 우수한 벡터제어 시스템을 구성하여, 축소차원 상태관측기를 이용한 순시속도 관측기와 극저속 제어에 관한 방법을 제안하였다. 본 시스템에서 제안된 관측기는 축소차원 상태관측기를 부하토크 추정에 적용하여 속도추정에 이용함으로서 시스템구성을 간단히 구현하면서도 극저속 영역에서 정확한 순시속도 추정이 가능하였다. 또한, 시스템 잡음에 의한 영향을 줄이고, 관측기의 극을 변화시키는 일 없이 부하외란이나 모델화 오차, 측정 잡음 등에 강인한 유도전동기 속도제어 시스템을 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents a implementation of speed sensorless vector control algorithm of induction motor using MATLAB/SIMULINK amd dSPACE DSl104 R&D board. The estimation of rotor flux linkage and rotor speed is carried out using model reference adaptive system(MRAS) method. Estimated rotor speed is used to speed controller of induction motor. Simulation results are presented to confirm speed sensorless vector control algorithm.
