  • This study proposes a new approach to control Moving Stuff Action Through Iterative Learning robot with dual arm for smart factory. When robot moves object with dual arm, not only position of each hand but also contact force at surface of an object should be considered. However, it is not easy to determine every parameters for planning trajectory of the an object and grasping object concerning about variety compliant environment. On the other hand, human knows how to move an object gracefully by using eyes and feel of hands which means that robot could learn position and force from human demonstration so that robot can use learned task at variety case. This paper suggest a way how to learn dynamic equation which concern about both of position and path.

  • This paper presents the moving object tracking method using vision system. In order to track object in real time, the image of moving object have to be located the origin of the image coordinate axes. Accordingly, Fuzzy Control System is investigated for tracking the moving object, which control the camera module with Pan/Tilt mechanism. Hereafter, so the this system is applied to mobile robot, we design and implement image processing board for vision system. Also fuzzy controller is implemented to the StrongArm board. Finally, the proposed fuzzy controller is useful for the real-time moving object tracking system by experiment.

  • Motion tracking and object segmentation are the most fundamental and critical problems in vision tasks suck as motion analysis. An active contour model, snake, was developed as a useful segmenting and tracking tool for rigid or non-rigid objects. Snake is designed no the basis of snake energies. Segmenting and tracking can be executed successfully by energy minimization. In this research, two new paradigms for segmentation and tracking are suggested. First, because the conventional method uses only intensity information, it is difficult to separate an object from its complex background. Therefore, a new energy and design schemes should be proposed for the better segmentation of objects. Second, conventional snake can be applied in situations where the change between images is small. If a fast moving object exists in successive images, conventional snake will not operate well because the moving object may have large differences in its position or shape, between successive images. Snakes's nodes may also fall into the local minima in their motion to the new positions of the target object in the succeeding image. For robust tracking, the condensation algorithm was adopted to control the parameters of the proposed snake model called "adaptive color snake model(SCSM)". The effectiveness of the ACSM is verified by appropriate simulations and experiments.

  • In this paper, a novel multi-object tracking method to track an unknown number of objects is proposed. To handle multiple object states and uncertain observations efficiently, a probability hypothesis density (PHD) filter is adopted and modified. The PHD filter is capable of reducing false positives, managing object appearances and disappearances, and estimating the multiple object trajectories in a unified framework. Although the PHD filter is robust in cluttered environments, it is vulnerable to false negatives. For this reason, we propose to exploit local observations in an RFS of the observation model. Each local observation is generated by using an online trained object detector. The main purpose of the local observation is to deal with false negatives in the PHD filtering procedure. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed method robustly tracked multiple objects under practical situations.

  • Stroke patients can't use their hands because of the paralysis of their fingers. Their fingers are recovered by rehabilitating training, and the rehabilitating extent can be judged by grasping a spherical object. At present, the used object in hospital is only a spherical object, and can't measure the force of fingers. Therefore, doctors judge the rehabilitating extent by touching and watching at their fingers. So, the spherical object measuring system which can measure the force of their fingers should be developed. In this paper, the finger-force measuring system with a six-axis force/moment sensor which can measure the spherical-object grasping force is developed. The six-axis force/moment sensor was designed and fabricated, and the force measuring device was designed and manufactured using DSP (digital signal processing). Also, the grasping force test of men was performed using the developed finger-force measuring system, it was confirmed that the average force of men was about 120N.

  • This paper focuses on the implementation of an efficient tracking method of a moving object using optimal representative blocks by way of a pan-tilt camera. The key idea is derived from the fact that when the image size of a moving object is shrunk in an image frame according to the distance between the mobile robot camera and the object in motion, the tracking performance of a moving object can be improved by reducing the size of representative blocks according to the object image size. Motion estimations using Edge Detection (ED) and Block-Matching Algorithm (BMA) are regularly employed to track objects by vision sensors. However, these methods often neglect the real-time vision data since these schemes suffer from heavy computational load. In this paper, a representative block able to significantly reduce the amount of data to be computed, is defined and optimized by changing the size of representative blocks according to the size of the object in the image frame in order to improve tracking performance. The proposed algorithm is verified experimentally by using a two degree-of- freedom active camera mounted on a mobile robot.

  • This paper attempts to derive the dynamic model of handling tasks in finger robot which grasps stable and manipulates a rigid object with some dexterity. Firstly, a set of differential equation describing dynamics of the manipulators and object together with geometric constraint of tight area-contacts is formulated by Lagrange's equation. Secondly, the roblems of controlling both the forces of pressing object and the rotation angle of the object under the geometric constraints are discussed. The effect of geometric constraints of area-contacts between the link's end-effector and the object is analyzed and the model based on the differential-algebraic equations is presented. In this paper, the control method for dynamic stable grasping and enhancing dexterity in manipulating things is proposed. It is illustrated by computer simulation and the experiment that the control system gives the performance improvement in the dynamic stable grasping and nimble manipulating of the dual fingers robot with soft tips.

  • This paper proposes a signal generation method for automatic control of a monitoring camera. Using the control signal, the monitoring camera can track a moving object and keep it near the image center for a longer time. The proposed method is estimated in the experiments that automatically move a maker located at the specified position to the image center.
