  • For the past decade, the convenience of sharing information online has improved drastically with the development of smart devices and social media. Such changes have contributed to regarding online word-of-mouth (WOM) as one of the most important consumer information sources. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine online WOM effects (acceptance/redelivery intention) with the two-way interaction effects of fashion involvement and the market maven. The empirical study consisted of an offline survey that collected data from 341 respondents and analyzed the data by factor analysis, independent t-test, and two-way ANOVA with SPSS 20.0, producing the following results. First, the market maven effect was found to differ significantly based on the level of fashion involvement, and is also higher when fashion involvement is high. Second, fashion involvement primarily affected online WOM acceptance, while the market maven significantly affected redelivery intention. Moreover, fashion involvement and market maven had relevant two-way interaction with both of the online WOM effects. Third, market maven had measurable effects on WOM redelivery types (objective/subjective) and directions (positive/negative/ neutral), whereas fashion involvement did not have any primary effects on them. However, fashion involvement and market maven had two-way interaction effects on the positive and negative direction of WOM redelivery. Based on these findings, the study suggests the importance of investigating and understanding the complicated online WOM behaviors of consumers, specifically from both managerial and theoretical perspectives.

  • Upland weed control in Korea has been in dilema with the radical problems prior to weed problems, as it were, poor farming conditions, low yielding, no farmers concern, lack of political cares, and low returns for farming, etc. In these respects, the study was intended to collect all concerns to upland farming conditions and to array all research informations contributed upon Korea upland weeding, and at last interpreted its problems in order of importance. Especially expecting the reasonable and common use herbicides upon the most uplands in Korea, the crop compatibility and weeding efficacy by the most herbicides upon each crops were investigated from the experiment results. Among other interpretations of research results, the most important and first of all acceptance was for the direction and methods of weed research to be rationalized. And that weeding programs in level of upland farmers should be cautionsely and gradually propagated was interpreted to be accepted. Also, for the reasonable development of upland weeding situation in near future, the integrated promotion of upland farming rationalization is suggested by schematic explanations.

  • In order to streamline bread making process that is time-consuming in regard to the characteristics of process, this study focused on microwave irradiation to dough and raising its temperature to monitor potential variations of dough properties and bread quality, and also examined optimum irradiation time to deduce effective ways for streamlining bread making process. According to analyze dough properties depending on microwave irradiation time, it was found that microwave heat (MWH) 2 showed the highest specific volume and oven spring of all and the lowest hardness (i.e. the highest softness). Moreover, MWH 2 scored the highest points in overall preference under sensory characteristics. As a result, it found that 80-second heating of 700 g bread dough, when exposed to microwave irradiation, contributed to the highest quality of bread.

  • Based on adolescents' perspectives, this study attempts to explore the distinguishing characteristics of teachers that influence students to positively change in areas such as psychological adaptation and development of their potential. Essays focusing on memories of twenty seven significant teachers written by eighteen adolescents in middle schools and high schools in Daegu, Korea in 2011 were used for analyzing the factors that have influenced them to positively change. Subsequently, five critical factors were identified: warmness and acceptance; encouragement and support; communication and understanding; respect and care; modeling and expectation. The adolescents perceived that those factors not only contributed to their psychological wellbeing but also enabled them to positively change and achieve more in life. Moreover, the educational implications focusing on teachers' productive function and healing power were discussed. The role of teachers in reinforcing and building the character students in order to facilitate their holistic development was dealt with. Finally, the reference for promotion of further studies of the research field was made.

  • Application of traditional aerial survey technologies for topographic mapping purposes has a number of principal problems. The growing worldwide acceptance of digital orthophotos has understood this need. Many trekking and expedition teams are expecting digital orthophoto and consequently 3D animation of the highest peaks and possible trekking routes, camping sites and information on how difficult the routes may be. In recent years, inexpensive computers and advance of computer technologies contributed to the rapid development of digital photogrammetry (Dowman et al., 1992; Heipke, 1995). Successful implementation of digital photogrammetric workstations in mapping have been found in various disciplines (Chen et al., 1998; Skalet et al., 1992). This paper highlights the results of the conventional photogrammetry and the possible advantages of digital photogrammetry over these and also the problems, issues and implications during digital Photogrammetric processing of high mountainous region in Asia.

  • This paper will concentrate on how various particular Southeast Asian conditions created a distinct Southeast Asian cultural identity despite a very challenging geographical and historical diversity in the region. The paper will argue that Southeast Asians demonstrate an ability to adapt to changes and new values but also exhibit fatalism through a very high degree of passive acceptance to political and other changes that affect their society. The paper identifies a degree of environmental and geographical uniqueness in Southeast Asia that shapes context and gives rise to very distinct cultural traits. The historical transformation in the region brought about by colonialism and nationalism, combined with this geographical and political make-up of the region, had an immense impact on Southeast Asian society as it fostered adaptability. Finally, the political transitions brought about by various conflicts and wars that continued to affect the area in rapid succession all throughout the 20th century likewise contributed immensely to a local Southeast Asian fatalistic response towards change. Historically, Southeast Asia demonstrated these socio-cultural responses to such an extent that these are argued to permeate the region forming a distinct aspect of Southeast Asian culture.

  • An instrumental analysis of Sanyakbyung was carried out along with sensory evaluation to find out how its quality characteristics changed by the addition of glutinous rice flour(0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%). The moisture content of Sanyakbyung decreased in proportion to the increment of glutinous rice flour. In terms of color, L-value increased depending on the increment of glutinous rice whereas a-value and b-value showed a decrease. This could be accounted for by two factors: one is that the protein contained in yam flour contributed to black coloring and the other is that the color of yam flour itself contributed ostensively to the tint of blackish coloring, and also to the tint of yellow and red coloring. ln the two bite compression test, the hardness, gumminess, chewiness, and cohesiveness of Sanyakbyung decreased depending on the increment of glutinous rice flour. The springiness did not show any significant variation among the samples. That is, the more yam flour was added, the more cohesive and gummy Sanyakbyung was produced. There were significant differences(p<0.05) in the sensory characteristics of the samples in which Sanyakbyung with 10% glutinous rice flour was most preferred in color, those with 20% in flavor, and those with 40% in taste. Adhesiveness and consistency in the palate responses also showed significant differences among samples in which the sample with 40% glutinous rice flour was most favored in consistency. When the content of yam increased, the gumminess also increased. Generally, Sanyakbyung with soft but less gummy texture was preferred to strong gummy one which was easily stuck to teeth. In the overall acceptance, Sanyakbyung with 40% glutinous rice four was most preferred.

  • PACS has been run at the Kyung Hee University Medical Center(KHMC) since 2001, and the installation and operation of PACS have contributed to automation and quantification of KHMC's medical environment During these five years our greatest concern is how to make our own guiding principle of diagnostic monitor QA which is adapted to international standards. In accordance with the terms of 'KHMC QA Guideline', 'AAPM TG18', 'SMPTE RP133', 'DICOM Part14', 'DIN V 6868-57', 'JESRA X-0093', 'JIS Z4752-2-5' and 'KCARE', concern about quality assurance of medical images are on the increase. With the investigation of acceptance testing and quality control of international standards for medical display devices, and data collection and analysis for recommended guideline, it is reported that acceptance testing(quality control), including geometrical distortion, display reflection, luminance response, luminance uniformity, display resolution, display noise, veiling glare and color chromaticity being adequate and effective to domestic hospital environments for medical display devices and assessment methods according to each performance. Accordingly, KHMC classified the checkpoint items by period, at the time of monitor setting, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annually. Periodic classification of checkpoint items for monitor QA makes a good guideline for image QA/QC and useful guideline for persistent good quality of monitor.

  • Information system audit, by checking overall matters about constructing and managing information system, has to contribute to improvement of information system's quality and improving performance of projects. For this, an auditor has to present objective corroborative facts which back up result of audit and ways of improvement, but in reality, general(especially businessmen's) cognition is that audit is biased by way too subjective opinions. Local experience and theoretical research until now propose that tools of automating audit will be an active means of systematically collecting and proposing these objective evidences of audit. This research not only verified that in the field of audit, phenomenon of technology application can be explained and predicted by applying TAM, but it also contributed in extending theoretical base on information technology and audit by distinguishing several characteristics which appear in the process of the model's application and analysis.
