챗봇 에이전트 정체성(identity)에 따른 사용자의 인식 및 행동 차이에 대한 연구 개인, 기관, 기계 에이전트의 차이를 중심으로 (Users' Perception and Behavioral Differences Depending on Chatbot Agent Identities)

  • 최근 헬스케어 분야에서 지속적인 건강 관리 서비스를 제공하기 위해 챗봇 에이전트를 도입하는 시도가 늘어나고 있다. 하지만 아직까지 챗봇 에이전트 설계에 대한 연구는 인간과 기계라는 구분에 머물러 있어, 에이전트에 대한 신뢰, 친밀감, 행동 변화를 모두 고려해야 하는 헬스케어 영역에서의 챗봇 설계에 활용하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인간과 기계라는 구분에서 나아가, 보다 다양한 에이전트 정체성에 따라 사용자의 인식과 행동이 달라지는지 조사하고자 했다. 이를 위해 정체성을 다르게 설정한 3개의 챗봇 에이전트인 의사(개인), 병원(기관), 가상 에이전트(기계)를 제작한 후, 집단 간 설계(between-group design) 방식으로 36명의 사용자를 세 그룹으로 나누어 6일간 챗봇을 사용하며 건강 습관을 기록하도록 하였다. 6일간의 챗봇 사용을 마친 후, 사후 설문 및 인터뷰를 통하여 사용자들의 신뢰, 친밀감, 행동 개선에 어떤 영향이 있었는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 의사와 병원 에이전트는 건강지키미 에이전트보다 높은 신뢰를 보였으며, 친밀감에 있어서도 더욱 높은 평가를 받았다. 또한, 많은 참가자가 병원 에이전트를 선호하는 것으로 드러났다. 하지만 세 개 에이전트 모두 사용자들의 행동 변화를 성공적으로 유도하지는 못했던 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 정체성이 다른 챗봇 에이전트가 사용자에게 신뢰, 친밀감의 차원에서 다른 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 밝혀냄으로써, 헬스케어 분야에서 챗봇 에이전트 설계에 대한 실용적인 가이드라인을 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The Role of Bronchodilators in Preventing Exacerbations of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

  • Bronchodilators are the cornerstone of symptomatic chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) treatment. They are routinely recommended for symptom reduction, with a preference of long-acting over short-acting drugs. Bronchodilators are classified into two classes based on distinct modes of action, i.e., long-acting antimuscarinics (LAMA, once-daily and twice-daily), and long-acting ${\beta}2$-agonists (LABA, once-daily and twice-daily). In contrast to asthma management, evidence supports the efficacy of both classes of long-acting bronchodilators as monotherapy in preventing COPD exacerbations, with greater efficacy of LAMA drugs versus LABAs. Several novel LAMA/LABA fixed dose combination inhalers are currently approved for COPD maintenance treatment. These agents show superior symptom control to monotherapies, and some of these combinations have also demonstrated superior efficacy in exacerbation prevention versus monotherapies, or combinations of inhaled corticosteroids plus LABA. This review summarizes the current data on clinical effectiveness of bronchodilators alone or in combination to prevent exacerbations of COPD.

Chronological Switch from Translesion Synthesis to Homology-Dependent Gap Repair In Vivo

  • Cells are constantly exposed to endogenous and exogenous chemical and physical agents that damage their genome by forming DNA lesions. These lesions interfere with the normal functions of DNA such as transcription and replication, and need to be either repaired or tolerated. DNA lesions are accurately removed via various repair pathways. In contrast, tolerance mechanisms do not remove lesions but only allow replication to proceed despite the presence of unrepaired lesions. Cells possess two major tolerance strategies, namely translesion synthesis (TLS), which is an error-prone strategy and an accurate strategy based on homologous recombination (homology-dependent gap repair [HDGR]). Thus, the mutation frequency reflects the relative extent to which the two tolerance pathways operate in vivo. In the present paper, we review the present understanding of the mechanisms of TLS and HDGR and propose a novel and comprehensive view of the way both strategies interact and are regulated in vivo.

상엽, 상지 및 잠분 에탄올 추출물의 품종별 세포독성 효과 (Cytotoxicity of the ethanol extracts of mulberry leaves, branches and silkworm feces)

  • The cytotoxicity of the ethanol extracts of varietal samples of mulberry leaves and branches and silkworm feces was measured using CT-26 cells originated from murine metastatic colon cancer, using dye uptake assay in order to find potential anticancer agents. Two ethanol extracts (varietal mulberry leaves and mulberry branches) were prepared from 16 varietal mulberries and used as partial extract materials for the activity assay. Among these, the ethanol extracts from Shinkwangppong leaves showed a little anticancer activity, and those from Sugaeppong, Cheongunppong and Gumsulppong branches showed some anticancer activity as well as cytotoxicity. In contrast, ethanol extracts from freeze-dried, the 3rd day of 5th instar feces showed more potent anticancer activity than that of other mulberry leaves, mulberry branches and other 5th silkworm instar larva feces on the basis of high UV absorbance at 665 nm.

  • The developing agent is the materials which first acts on silver grain and make it into metallic silver by reducing reaction. There are several types in developing agent, and according to Lumiere-Andresen principle, substitution product which has amino or hydroxyl group in benzen nucleus has a developing power, but all reduing substances are not in used. In the developing effect, not only the role of developing agent but also that of assistant materials are important. But in this work, we have studied effect, change by lith developing agent which require high contrast image. We made an developing experiment after having manufactured developing solution used hydroquinone and another developing agents like chlorohydroquinone, pyrocatechol and pyrogallol as developing agent. And we added that did in addition of diethanolamine and ascorbic acid, and then we examined the possibility of use.

  • 무지개송어(Salmo gairdneri)의 바이러스성 출혈성 패혈증에 관하여 연구하였다. 병어의 hematocrit값은 정상어보다 매우 낮게 나타났으며, GOT와 GPT값은 정상어보다 병어에서 약간 높게 나타났다. 병어의 혈청과 장기의 마쇄액을 CHSE-214세포에 감염시켜 세포변성 효과를 조사한 결과 감염 24시간 후에 세포변성이 나타났다.

  • In contrast to conventional CNC, PC-NC opens a new era for machine tools to be more intelligent. For instance, machine tool with PC-NC can be a machine agent system with capability of reacting autonomously to changing operating conditions. This paper introduces a concept of intelligent machine agent system, composed of machine agent and cell manager. Machine agent performs the functions such as process monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance management, condition assessment and schedule negotiation, while cell manager coordinates the negotiation process among multiple machine agents.

Array-Based Real-Time Ultrasound and Photoacoustic Ocular Imaging

  • Although various ophthalmic imaging methods, including fundus photography and optical coherence tomography, have been applied for effective diagnosis of ocular diseases with high spatial resolution, most of them are limited by shallow imaging penetration depth and a narrow field of view. Also, many of those imaging modalities are optimized to provide microscopic anatomical information, while functional or cellular information is lacking. Compared to other ocular imaging modalities, photoacoustic imaging can achieve relatively deep penetration depth and provide more detailed functional and cellular data based on photoacoustic signal generation from endogenous contrast agents such as hemoglobin and melanin. In this paper, array-based ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging was demonstrated to visualize pigmentation in the eye as well as overall ocular structure. Fresh porcine eyes were visualized using a real-time ultrasound micro-imaging system and an imaging probe supporting laser pulse delivery. In addition, limited photoacoustic imaging field of view was improved by an imaging probe tilting method, enabling visualization of most regions of the retina covered in the ultrasound imaging.

Dithiocarbohydrazone류의 합성과 항균작용에 관한 연구 (I) (Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Dithiocarbohydrazones (I))

  • In order to study 2-formylpyridine dithiocarbohydrazones (DTCH's) and their Cu(II) chelates as potential effective antimicrobial agents, twelve new compounds of six DTCH's and their Cu(II) chelates were synthesized. The compositions of Cu(II) chelates were determined on the basis of the data obtained from elemental analysis, electronic and IR spectrophotometry, and other method. They were tested for antimicrobial activity in vitro against a gram-positive, seven gram-negative bacterial species and three fungal species. DTCH's exhibited high antibacterial activity against the gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus, but low activity against the various gram negative bacterial species. In contrast to DTCH'S, their Cu(II) chelates exhibited higher antibacterial activity against St. aureus, but weaker, if any, activity against the gram-negative bacterial species. Both DTCH's and their Cu(II) chelates showed relatively potent antifungal activity against Cryptococcus neoformans, but weak activity against Candida albicans and Candida pseudotropicalis.
