후경부 냉동요법 적용을 통한 대학생의 주의력 수준 평가 (Evaluation of Attention Level on College Students by Application of Cryotherapy in the Posterior Region of Neck)

  • 사람의 인지기능을 구성하는 중요한 요소인 주의력은 감각기관을 통한 다양한 자극에서 필요한 자극에만 의식을 집중하는 중요한 인지기능이다. 다양한 환경 요건이 주의력에 영향을 미친다는 다양한 연구 결과가 있으나 피부에 직접 냉각요법을 적용하는 것이 주의력에 영향을 미치는 바는 많이 연구되지 않았다. 36명의 피평가자를 대상으로 학습 및 휴식 활동 중 냉동요법 적용 시점 및 여부에 따른 주의력의 차이를 살펴보았다. 시각적 주의력 평가도구인 FAIR 주의력 검사를 실시하였으며 해당 평가도구의 주의력 지수인 능력지수, 통제지수, 지속성지수 결과에 대한 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 휴식 활동을 수행한 피평가자 사이에서는 냉동요법의 적용이 모든 하위지수에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 학습 활동을 수행한 피평가자 사이에서는 사전 냉동요법을 적용한 집단(P=469.0, C=435.4))과 사후 냉동요법을 적용한 집단(P=457.4, C=425.4)이 냉동요법을 실시하지 않은 집단(P=335.8, C=301.7)에 비해 능력지수와 지속성지수가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과로부터 냉동요법이 제한적으로나마 주의력의 수준을 유지 시켜주고, 주의를 환기해 준다는 결론 도출할 수 있다.

  • In this paper it is shown that the spectrum ${\sigma}$ is continuous at every p-hyponormal operator when restricted to the set of essentially p-hyponormal operators and moreover ${\sigma}$ is continuous when restricted to the set of compact perturbations of p-hyponormal operators whose spectral pictures have no holes associated with the index zero.

  • Tarim River is the biggest inland river in China, its problem of eco-environment is worsening in the lower reach. For keeping this trend within limits, the measure of emergent water transportation to the lower reach was taken. In this paper, the remote sensing technology will be applied to the analysis of eco-environment effect after water transportation. The result is: the vegetation index and cover ratio increased but not markedly, the eco-environment situation can't been improved obviously up to now. It is some effective but temporary . The continuity, quality and quality of water source for the Tarim River must been ensured.

Impact of a New Formula on the Fresnel Reflectance on Microwave Remote Sensing

  • In microwave remote sensing, the Fresnel reflectance formula is widely used in the sea surface emissivity modeling. As an essential contribution to microwave remote sensing, a new formula on the Fresnel reflectance has been derived based on our understanding of the complex index of refraction and continuity condition of E-M waves at the interface between two mediums. The proposed formula can be used to obtain the emissivity of sea surface, which is useful to retrieve sea surface temperature, sea surface salinity and the brightness temperature. Considering Bragg-resonant scatter, it is useful for the calculation of the normalized radar cross-section, and the retrieval of sea surface wind either.

  • A minimum threshold for the signal to noise ratio ($SNR_{min}$) has to be set in the data processing system of wind profiler radar (WPR). The data collection rate and the accuracy of the WPR wind vector depend on the $SNR_{min}$. The WPR at Uljin is operated with an $SNR_{min}$ of 1 dB which is a relatively large threshold. We found that the accuracy and the continuity of the WPR wind vector with height were directly related to the variability of the SNR and vertical gradient of the squared refractive index. We investigated a quantitative method for determining a new $SNR_{min}$ for the WPR at Uljin and it was evaluated with radiosonde data. The accuracy and continuity of the wind vector from an SNR of less than 1 dB, began to decrease at an altitude of 3.5 km. Most of the SNR values were less than -3.5 dB in altitudes higher than 3.5 km. We retrieved high-accuracy wind vectors at altitudes over 3 km where measurements were deficient with an $SNR_{min}$ of 1 dB.

건강보험 청구자료를 이용한 진료 연속성이 당뇨 관련 예방 가능 입원에 미치는 영향 분석: 중·고령군을 중심으로 (Effects of Continuity of Care on Diabetes-Related Avoidable Hospitalizations among Middle- and Old-Aged Patients: Analysis of National Health Insurance Claims Data)

  • Background: Diabetes is known as one of the most important ambulatory care sensitive conditions. This study purposed to assess the status of continuity of care (COC) and diabetes-related avoidable hospitalizations (DRAHs) of a group of middle- and old-aged patients and to observe the relationship of the two elements by the two age groups. Methods: This study utilized the National Health Insurance Service's National Sample Cohort data and the subjects are diabetes patients of 45 and over, classified into two groups of 'middle-aged'(45-64 years) and 'old-aged'(${\geq}65years$) patients. The dependent variable was DRAHs, which was defined in accordance with the definition of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development "Health Care Quality Indicators" project. COC, as an independent variable, is measured by the COC index in this study. Two-part model (multi-variate and multi-level analyses) was utilized. Results: Factors associated with the status and the number of DRAHs differed by each age group. Meanwhile, the two-part model showed that higher COC was associated with a lower risk of preventable hospitalizations in both middle- and old-aged groups. Conclusion: Study findings can provide health policy insights and implications in order to strengthen the primary care system for further improvement of diabetes management, especially for middle- and old-aged groups.

Development of Evaluation Criteria for Forest Education Using the CIPP Model

  • The objective of this study was to develop evaluation criteria for forest education using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) model. To this end, we designed a survey based on expert advice and content analysis of previous studies on the CIPP model and forest education. The survey was conducted on 393 forest education specialists, and Cronbach's α coefficient was set as 0.6 or higher to verify reliability and validity, and to determine reliability by factor. Eventually, 52 out of 57 evaluation items were extracted, and the evaluation indexes were selected through factor analysis as follows: four evaluation indexes for the context dimension, namely "Clarity of goal setting," "Developing conditions for education," "Meeting of requirements," and "Institutional drive"; three evaluation indexes for the input dimension, namely "Acquisition of education infrastructure," "Establishment of operational support," and "Adequacy of assigned manpower"; four evaluation indexes for the process dimension, which were "Adequacy of budget allocation," "Expertise of forest education instructors," "Diversity of programs," and "Public-private academic partnership"; and five evaluation indexes for the product dimension, namely "Effectiveness of perception change," "Influence over the society," "Continuity of improvement in evaluation," "Continuity of education," and "Verification of the effects of education."

이독성을 통한 초등학교 5, 6학년 영어 교과서 읽기 지문의 연계성 분석 (Analysis of the Continuity of Reading Passages in the 5th and 6th Grade Elementary School English Textbooks Based on Readability)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 5, 6학년 영어 교과서에 수록된 읽기 지문의 이독성을 분석하여 학년 간 수직적 연계성과 출판사 간 수평적 연계성을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 10종의 교과서에 수록된 읽기 지문을 코퍼스로 구축한 후, Coh-Metrix를 통해 각 교과서에 수록된 읽기 지문의 이독성을 분석하였다. 또한 일원배치 분산분석을 통해 산출된 이독성에 학년 간, 출판사 간에 통계적으로 유의한 수준의 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 이를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동일 학년 내 읽기 지문의 출판사간 난이도 차이를 분석하여 수평적 연계성을 살펴본 결과 RDL2 지수에서 5학년 교과서간에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 출판사 내에서의 학년 간 수직적 연계성을 분석한 결과 FRE와 FKGL 기준으로 교과서 A의 난이도가 5학년에 비해 6학년에서 높았으며, 이는 통계적으로 유의한 수준의 차이였다. 반면 RDL2를 기준으로 했을 경우 교과서 B의 난이도가 5학년에 비해 6학년에서 더 낮아지는 결과를 보았다. 이러한 결과는 FRE와 FKGL은 문장 길이와 단어 길이 중심으로 이독성을 산출하는 반면, RDL2는 내용어 중복, 단어 빈도 수, 문장의 통사적 유사성 등을 기초로 하고 있기 때문으로 보인다.

경추부 후면 및 측면 피부 냉각 작용이 대학생의 주의력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect on Attention of College Students by Epidermal Cooling in Posterior and Lateral of Upper Cervix)

  • 사람의 인지기능 중 주의력은 감각기관을 통해 방대한 자극 중 필요한 자극에만 의식을 집중하는 과정이다. 주의력은 실내 온도 등 노출 환경에 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 스포츠 분야에서는 냉각 팩 등을 사용한 직접 전도 방식의 냉각이 광범위하게 사용되어 효과를 보고 있으나 전도에 의한 냉각이 주의력과 같은 인지 활동에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 알려진 바가 없다. 본 연구에서는 경추부 후면 부위에 특수 제작된 냉각 패드를 적용할 때 주의력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 수행되었다. 40명의 피검사자를 네 집단으로 나누고 독서 및 산책 중 냉각 패드의 적용에 따라 주의력이 차이를 보이는지 살펴보았다. 주의력은 FAIR 주의력 검사를 통해 평가되었으며, 선택적 주의력을 의미하는 능력지수, 주의력의 정확도를 나타내는 통제지수, 균일한 주의력의 유지 기간을 나타내는 지속성지수에 대한 분산분석과 사후분석을 실시하였다. 결과적으로, 독서 및 학습 등 시각적 주의력이 지속적으로 요구되는 경우 냉각 패드의 적용을 통한 전도 냉각이 선택적 주의력을 확대시키고 균일한 주의력을 유지하는데 도움이 된다. 또한, 선택적 주의력의 향상과 균일한 주의력의 유지를 위해 가벼운 신체 활동이 도움이 된다. 다만 이 경우 전체 독서 시간의 감소를 전제로 하여야 한다.

Comparative analysis of existing reinforced concrete buildings damaged at different levels during past earthquakes using rapid assessment methods

  • Türkiye is located in a region where destructive earthquakes are frequently experienced due to its geological characteristics and geographical location. Therefore, considering the possibility of a devastating earthquake at any time, determining the reinforced concrete (RC) building seismic safety, constructed before or after the current seismic buildings code, is one of the most important issues to be completed firstly. For this purpose, rapid assessment methods developed to quickly determine the seismic safety of buildings are available in the literature. Comparison of the principles of Principles of the Determination of Risky Structures-2019, Column and Wall Index Method, P25 Scoring Method and Improved Discriminant Analysis Method, which are among these methods, have been aimed within the scope of this study. Within the scope of this paper, a total of 43 buildings in the Yalova/Çınarcık region of Türkiye that the damage level was determined by street observation method immediately after the 1999 Kocaeli (Izmit) Earthquake; 15 buildings with heavy damage and 28 buildings with moderate damage were examined by rapid assessment methods. Although the risk detection difference was not separated as a clear line in any of the methods used, the results obtained from the rapid assessment methods are evaluated as being compatible with the detected after earthquake structural seismic behavior of the buildings. The PDRS-2019 and column and wall index method gave the most approximate results. In the results obtained from the analyzes; structural features such as number of floors, frame continuity, soft/weak story irregularity, effective shear strength area, existence of heavy overhangs in plan, type of structural system have been found to be significantly effective on the earthquake behavior of buildings.
