The Antecedents and Consequences of Ethical Leadership in the Restaurant Industry -Focused on Ethical Context, Personality, and Job Satisfaction- (레스토랑에서의 윤리적 리더십에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism affected his (or her) ethical leadership, and how leader's ethical leadership influenced subordinates' job satisfaction in the restaurant industry. The model was tested in hotel restaurants and family restaurants using a sample of employees in Pusan, Daegu and Gyeongsangbukdo. Empirical results confirmed that organization's ethical context, leader's agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism influenced his (or her) ethical leadership, and leader's ethical leadership affected subordinates' job satisfaction. This research findings implied managerially that firstly, top management should establish employees' ethical regulations and motivate them to work ethically through training, incentives and punishment and secondly, should employee agreeable, conscientious and anti-neurotic person through aptitude test, if possible. In the future, restaurant's successful operations and management depends on partly its ethical status.

  • This study is presented on the corporate advertising strategy utilizing internet on corporate social responsibility in the context of the articles. To this end, Internet articles divided into positive and negative contexts, and has even attracted the attention of Internet articles and high /low and then separated into groups on ad attitudes and corporate image, the interaction effect was examined. Firstly, the Internet, a low level of condition of the article noted, in the context of a positive than a negative context, recall rates were higher. Second, the context of Internet articles and attention on the interaction effect between attitude toward advertising appeared. Third, the context of Internet articles and attention on the interaction effects between the corporate image appeared. Finally, the context of Internet articles and attention on competitive interactions between the corporate management was effective. Thus, the context of Internet articles based on the level of attention and context to determine the effect of advertising by consumer advertising awareness and favorable attitude toward corporate advertising and corporate image enhancement and competitiveness of business management can be an effective strategic plan suggests that.

  • The ubiquitous computing environment focuses on recognizing the context and Physical entities, whereas, previous computing environments mainly focused on the conversational interactions between the computer and the user. For this reason, there has been an increase in the research of context aware computing environments. In previous researches , context services are designed using context ontology used in context aware middleware. So, context service cannot change the context ontology in execution time. We propose a hierarchical context ontology management for context aware service to change their ontology in execution time. And we also a resolution model for context conflict which is occurred in inference of context. We have designed a middleware based on this model and implemented the middleware. As the middleware is implemented on the OSGi framework, it can cause interoperability among devices such as computers, PDAs, home appliances and sensors. It can also support the development and operation of context aware services, which are required in the ubiquitous computing environment.

  • Recently the usage of mobile devices which enable the accessibility to Internet has been dramatically increased. Most of the mobile services, however, so far tend to be simple such as infotainment service. In order to fully taking advantage of wireless network and corresponding technology, personalized web service based on user's context could be needed. Meanwhile, optimization techniques have been vitally incorporated for optimizing the development and administration of electronic commerce. However, applying context-aware optimization mechanism to personalized mobile services is still very few. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology to incorporate optimization techniques into personalization services. Multi agent-based web service approach is considered to realize the methodology. To show the feasibility of the methodology proposed in this paper, a prototype system, CAMA-myOPt(Context-Aware Multi-Agent system for my Optimization), was implemented and adopted in mobile comparative shopping.

  • Many researchers have developed frameworks that are capable of handling context information and can be adapted and used by any Web service. However, no research involving the systematic analysis of existing frameworks has yet been conducted. This paper examines the Context Framework, an example of existing frameworks, using a Petri net, and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages. Then, a Petri net model - with its disadvantages removed - is introduced, and a new framework is presented on the basis of that model. The proposed PAWS (Privacy Aware Web Services) framework has a expendability for context management and communicates flexible context information for every session. The proposed framework can solve overhead problems of context in SOAP messages. It also protects user privacy according to user preferences.

  • Recently, Social Network services(SNS) is gaining popularity as Facebook and Twitter. Popularity of SNS leads to active service and social data is to be increased. Thus, social search is remarkable that provide more meaningful information to users. but previous studies using social network structure, network distance is calculated using only familiarity. It is familiar as distance on network, has been demonstrated through several experiments. If taking advantage of social context data that users are using SNS to produce, then familiarity will be helpful to evaluate further. In this paper, reflect user's attention through comments and tags, Facebook context is determined using familiarity between friends in SNS. Facebook context is advantageous finding a friend who has a similar propensity users in context of profiles and interests. As a result, we provide a blog post that interest with a close friend. We also assist in the retrieval facilities using Near Field Communication(NFC) technology. By the experiment, we show the proposed soicial search method is more effective than only tag.

  • Network infrastructure has spread to an unprecedented extent and is used in various computing devices, such as smart appliances, smart phones, and embedded devices with sensors, which have all been appearing in the computing environment. To accommodate this trend, for a more intelligent service environment, the service platform needs to have abilities that facilitate the operation between services, dynamically share distributed computing resources, and manage appropriate contextual information. We have simulated a service platform to provide intelligent services using contextual information after having implemented the context management service. The context management service gathers raw contextual information from sensors and stores these in the context database. For a consistent basis of contextual information, time and location are used as the key values of the contextual information. The context management service also performs normalization to provide computable contextual information to context-aware applications. In this paper, a service platform based on Jini technology is proposed for constructing an interoperable, dynamic, and . intelligent service environment using contextual information.

  • In this paper, context-aware technologies using a Kinect sensor for a digital signage which is increasingly growing as the 4th screen media is presented. Generalized context-aware functions for a digital signage were studied and a context-aware digital signage platform was developed. It can support a natural user interface for controlling a digital signage and actively provide contents adapted to its context. As a basic context, user's gesture and voice, the number of users, sound direction were considered. In the future, the advanced functions such as age, gender will be studied. The implemented platform could be a good reference model when developing a general context-aware digital signage.

  • As context aware service supports a process of context acquisition and reasoning, there are many studies to facilitate the implementation of context aware service. However, these studies have not supported efficiently a user or service mobility that should be supported necessarily in ubiquitous computing environment. Therefore, this study proposes a dynamic context aware service model which supports a dynamic management of context information, service retrieval and composition for interactions between services, and service mobility. Then we design a middleware based on this model and implement the middleware. As the middleware is implemented on the OSGi framework. it can have an interoperability between the devices such as computers, PDA, home appliances, and sensors, because of using the standard interface technologies like UPnP. Jini and so on.

  • In this paper, we introduce an ubiWarehouse system for the management of automobile parts. Because automotive parts are very various in kinds according to companies, models and manufacture year, it's hard to find exactly the desired parts and to control goods in stock. To solve this problem, we propose the model of context recognizer in which context data are expressed in a systematic type of 5W1H. And initial context data are grouped and integrated, and some conflict context information is solved. Finally user's intention is interpreted and served. As a result, the proposed system can be used to enhance conveniency and correctness of the management of various kinds of part's.
