Effective energy consumption now becomes one of the area of knowledge management which potentially gives global impact. It is considerable for the energy management to optimize the usage of energy, rather than decreasing energy consumption at any cases. To resolve these challenges, an intelligent and personalized system which helps the individuals control their own behaviors in an optimal and timely manner is needed. So far, however, since the legacy energy management systems are nation-wide or organizational, individual-level energy management is nearly impossible. Moreover, most estimating methods of energy consumption are based on forecasting techniques which tend to risky or analysis models which may not be provided in a timely manner. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a novel individual-level energy management system which aims to realize timely and personalized energy management based on context-aware computing approach. To do so, an index model for energy consumption is proposed with a corresponding service framework.

Treatment and management of chronic low back pain (CLBP) should be tailored to the patient's individual context. However, there are limited resources available in which to find and manage the causes and mechanisms for each patient. In this study, we designed and developed a personalized context awareness system that uses machine learning techniques to understand the relationship between a patient's lower back pain and the surrounding environment. A pilot study was conducted to verify the context awareness model. The performance of the lower back pain prediction model was successful enough to be practically usable. It was possible to use the information from the model to understand how the variables influence the occurrence of lower back pain.

Owl-based ontology is useful to realize the context-aware services which are composed of the distributed and self-configuring modules. Many ontology-based inference engines are developed to infer useful information from ontology. Since these engines show the uniqueness in terms of speed and information richness, it's difficult to ensure stable operation in providing dynamic context-aware services, especially when they should deal with the complex and big-size ontology. To provide a best inference service, the purpose of this paper is to propose a novel methodology of context-aware engine selection in a contextually prompt manner Case-based reasoning is applied to identify the causality between context and inference engined to be selected. Finally, a series of experiments is performed with a novel evaluation methodology to what extent the methodology works better than competitive methods on an actual context-aware service.

The ERP system comes to existence in the period of change. In other words, the ERP system is adopted to the company with BPR project. In general, the ERP system is introduced to companies as packages rather than in-housing systems. There are several researches in IS literatures which have a conclusion that organizational context affects the performance of ERP system. This study attempts to review the organizational context from the prospective of organizational structure and change management. Regarding the organizational structure, we choose some widely known variables such as the degree of formalization and centralization. For the analysis of change management, we set the variables, which are the most importantly considered, such as the power of CEO's promotion and user participation. The extent of customizing is introduced as moderating variables between the organizational context and the implementation performance. With collected data, we performed the reliability test, the factor analysis and the regression analysis. In summary, the introduction of an information system such as ERP system has a behavioral and organizational impact. The organizational change may breed resistance and opposition and can lead to the failure of the system. Therefore, implementation of the system requires careful change management, active involvement of users and high level of management support.

건설현장에서 수집되는 사진은 그 중요성에도 불구하고 효과적인 관리체계 미흡으로 촬영자의 의도나 사진의 의미를 파악하기 힘든 경우가 많았으며, 이로 인하여 거대한 디지털 이미지 파일 pool이 형성되어 있음에도 불구하고 그 안에 숨어있는 수많은 정보와 지식을 제대로 도출하기 어렵고 재활용도가 떨어지는 한계를 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 수집된 현장 사진들로부터 현장 프로세스에 대한 기술, 지식, 교훈 등의 context를 추출하기 위한 정보체계 구축을 위해 육하원칙, 즉 누가(who), 언제(when), 어디서(where), 무엇을(what), 왜(why), 어떻게(how)라는 원칙에서 일련의 사진들이 가지는 여러 가지 상황정보를 추출하고 이 정보들을 이용하여 효과적으로 정보를 관리하고 재활용할 수 있는 속성을 도출하고 정보 모델을 개발하는 것이다. 이 논문에서는 속성도출 및 정보모델 개발 과정과 이를 기반으로 개발된 사진정보관리 시스템에 관하여 논하고 있다.

There have been many requests for development of senior housing in Korea. Therefore it was very important to review how senior houses are established and managed in other countries. In this point, this research compared the actual conditions of the homes for the elderly in the U.K, U.S.A and Japan. Through the process, this research aimed to find the implications for Korea. The research was conducted by the literature review on senior congregate housing with Franklin's(1998) social constructionism perspective. This kind of research might be utilized as a theoretical framework for performance of any systems of housing for the aged. In this study, the researchers suggested the implications of senior congregate housing as follows. Firstly, in terms of structural context, government in the U.K, U.S.A., and Japan were positively concerned with solving the housing problems for senior citizens despite some differences. Secondly, from an institutional context, institutions related with provision, construction, and management of senior congregate housing were systematically consolidated and they all adapted the housing and welfare policy. Thirdly, in organizational context, there was an organization in charge of provision and management that exclusively oversaw the housing for the elderly in both the public and private sectors. Fourthly, in operational context, standards regarding space were clearly set both for individual units and common spaces as well as for facilities and services for the residents. Finally in terms of intersubjective context, the competency of housing manager and ways to involve the families which were important for residents' independent life were under study.

센서로부터 획득되는 데이터 스트림들 중에 특히 이동 객체에 대한 공간 정보를 담은 데이터 스트림은 상황 인지의 여러 응용 분야에 매우 유용하다. 하지만, 실시간으로 공간 스트림을 처리하는 것과 공간 상황 인지를 위한 복잡한 연산 처리 사이에는 중요한 기능적인 격차가 존재하는데, 이는 공간 스트림 처리와 상황 인지를 통합하는데 매우 큰 어려움을 준다. 본 논문에서는, 공간 스트림 처리와 공간 상황 인지 사이에 존재하는 기능적인 격차를 해결하기 위한 공간 데이터 스트림 처리 시스템인 SCONSTREAM(Spatial CONtext STREAm Management)를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 불필요한 공간 데이터 스트림을 전처리하고 상황 인지에 용이한 형태로 가공한다. 실험을 통해, 본 시스템이 공간 스트림 처리와 공간 상황 인지 사이에 존재하는 기능적인 격차를 해소할 수 있음을 보인다.

The article proves the relevance of developing conceptual frameworks for managing the quality assurance of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants. It is established that the fundamental difference of the logistic approach in management from traditional approaches is the allocation of a single management function of previously separated, disparate material flows, as well as economic, technological, information integration of chain links into a single system capable of effective management of these flows. It is substantiated that the functioning of the enterprise as a logistics system can be represented in the form of a triad of logistics components, namely: supply logistics, production logistics, sales logistics. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants is a functional component of the entire logistics system due to the quality of work and interaction of all participants in the implementation of certain activities. The quality of logistics activities will affect the level of economic potential, rationalization and optimization of all logistics flows. It is proved that the management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of their participants involves the following main areas: the introduction of a quality system of logistics processes; development and implementation of the general strategy of quality improvement at the enterprise; internal integration; controlling. Management of quality assurance processes of logistics activities in the context of socio-economic interaction of its participants requires compliance with the following requirements: systematic and comprehensive management of all flow processes; coordination of criteria and indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the entire logistics system; dissemination of the use and application of information technology; ensuring partnerships and close interaction of all participants in sales networks.
