The purpose of the study was to analyze the constraints that are normally experienced before moving in the context of the household characteristics of households that had recently moved to newly-built apartments. The data for the analysis was collected through a self-administered questionnaire from July 1, 2008 to August 10, 2008. The sample consisted of 251 households in Ulsan living in an apartment complex who had moved within a year. The data from the sample was analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and analysis of variance with Duncan's multiple range tests. The results are as follows. The constraints were categorized into information gathering, attractive housing characteristics, expectations of residential mobility, housing development and policies, and resources. Overall, the constraints did not have a huge impact on the performance of the residential mobility of the sample households. Resources, however, were the most influential factors among the five constraints followed by attractive housing characteristics, information gathering, etc. The constraints varied based on the demographic characteristics, such as the household size, duration of marriage, age of the household head, and the socio-economic characteristics, such as the education level of the household head, household income, and the number of mobility. As the number of family members increased, the age of the household head went up, or the level of education went down, the constraints on information gathering were affected in terms of performing residential mobility. Households with a middle aged head with a professional occupation were more constrained by the attractive characteristics of the housing. The impact of the resources related constraints was significantly different based on the number of family members, marriage duration, and the household head's age and occupation, and the number of mobility.

One of the most frequent uses of Internet is data gathering. Data can be about many themes but perhaps one of the most demanded fields is the tourist information. Normally, databases that support these systems are maintained manually. However, there is other approach, that is, to extract data automatically, for instance, from textual public information existing in the Web. This approach consists of extracting data from textual sources(public or not) and to serve them totally or partially to the user in the form that he/she wants. The obtained data can maintain automatically databases that support different systems as WAP mobile telephones, or commercial systems accessed by Natural Language Interfaces and others. This process has three main actors. The first is the information itself that is present in a particular context. The second is the information supplier (extracting data from the existing information) and the third is the user or information searcher. This added value chain reuse and give value to existing data even in the case that these data were not tough for the last use by the use of the described technology. The main advantage of this approach is that it makes independent the information source from the information user. This means that the original information belongs to a particular context, not necessarily the context of the user. This paper will describe the application based on this approach developed by the authors in the FLEX EXPRIT IV n$^{\circ}$EP29158 in the Work-package "Knowledge Extraction & Data mining"where the information captured from digital newspapers is extracted and reused in tourist information context.
In ubiquitous environments, many applications need to process data with time and space dimensions. Because of this, there is growing attention not only on gathering spatiotemporal data in ubiquitous environments, but also on processing such data in databases. In order to obtain the full benefits from spatiotemporal data, we need a data model that naturally expresses the properties of spatiotemporal data. In this paper, we introduce three spatiotemporal data models extended from temporal data models. The main goal of this paper is to determine which data model is less complex in the spatiotemporal context. To this end, we compare their query languages in the complexity aspect because the complexity of a query language is tightly coupled with its underlying data model. Throughout our investigations, we show that it is important to intertwine space and time dimensions and keep one-to-one correspondence between an object in the real world and a tuple in a database in order to naturally express queries in ubiquitous applications.
A teaching hospital is a place where both patient care and learning occur together. To identify the role of the teaching hospital in an effective clerkship, we first determined the features of workplace learning and the factors that affect learning in the workplace, and then we proposed a role for the teaching hospital in the clinical clerkship. Features of learning in a clerkship include learning in context, and learning from patients, supervising doctors, others in the team, and colleagues. During the clerkship, medical students learn in three-way learner-patient-teacher relationships, and students' participation in the tasks of patient care is crucial for learning. Factors that influence learning in the workplace are associated with tasks, context, and learner. Tying the three factors together, we proposed a role for the teaching hospital in the three categories: involvement in the tasks of patient care, engagement in the medical team, and engagement in the learning environment and system. Supervising doctors and team members in a teaching hospital support students' deep participation in patient care, while improving the learning environment through organizational guidelines and systems. Gathering both qualitative and quantitative data for the evaluation of a teaching hospital is important.

Employee's agility is becoming a primary factor of improving individual work performance. Employee's agility refers to responsiveness or behavior of employees in the context of work environment change. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between employee's agility and work performance in the perspective of agility's influence factors(absorptive capacity, IT resource use, readiness to change) and knowledge-oriented leadership, A survey was conducted for gathering data (a total of 262 employees from 35 industrial organizations) to test the relationships. The results of analysis show that employee's agility is a driving force leading to individual work performance, that employee's absorptive capacity, IT resource use, readiness to change, and knowledge-oriented leadership are the significant influential factors of employee's agility, and that knowledge-oriented leadership strengthens the link between employee's absorptive capacity and agility. For theoretical and practical contributions, the research presents the grounds for arguments that employee's agility is employee's dynamic capability for individual work performance under work environment change, and that organizations trying to improve employee's agility need to explore employee's behavioral attitudes under individual, leader, and organizational dimensions. Limitations arisen in the course of the research and suggestions for future research directions are also discussed.
At the turn of the century in which European colonialism was reaching its zenith and modernization was gathering speed, public museums were institutionalized. This paper looks into the part these European modern museums played in territorializing academic disciplines like anthropology and art history. The museums to deal with are the British Museum and the National Gallery in London, Mus?e du Louvre in Paris, and Museumsinsel in Berlin. Rather than in-depth detailed analysis of each museum, the aim is to explore the ways in which these museological institutions interacting with modern disciplines in the wider colonial context objectified other cultures and formulated a framework of the world through classification and comparison of material things, on the basis of the judgement of their artistic values. This exploration is also to rethink theoretical positions and perspectives on the museum in Korea. It is remarkable in Europe that such academic fields as history, art history, anthropology and cultural studies look for new possibilities of museology in conjunction with the recent proliferation of studies on the museum as a medium to construct and deconstruct knowledge. Meanwhile, the mammoth European museums which are often considered a stronghold of museology advocate the 'universal museum' themselves, quite the modern idea but in a revised rendering. Under these circumstances, this paper seeks to shed light on the definition of the museum as an arena in which scholarly discourses about art, culture and history can be created and contested, on the effectiveness of the museum as a communication medium in a postcolonial era, and on the need to pay trans-disciplinary attention to the museum in its broadest sense.
Purpose: Smart city has been observed to benefit most urban areas in different nations. Despite its advantages in the promotion of environmental sustainability and improving business competency in the current context, various literature review papers should be introduced to analyze its drawbacks. The present research aims to provide valuable suggestions for sustainable smart cities development. Research design, data and methodology: Using the qualitative content analysis (QCA), the current author could understand the target audience's motivations and habits by gathering data. This implies that the author may predict the kinds of future initiatives. As a result, the current researcher could ensure developed pertinent research questions and a well-planned method for analyzing the replies. Results: The implementation of green city development suggests encouraging the greening of public spaces and reducing heat from the atmosphere caused by the emission of gases from vehicles and companies. Smart cities are offering a new industrial paradigm that is based on the convergence of information technology. Conclusions: The projection illustrates that most people are migrating to the cities, which calls for an immediate transformation to overcome the immense pressure of making the city accessible, sustainable, prosperous, and safer. Therefore, implementing smart cities within the current world promotes efficiency and increases business sustainability.
The paper brings together several strands of debate and deliberation in which I have been involved since the early 2000s on the definition of Southeast Asia and the rationale of Southeast Asian Studies. I refer to the relationship between area studies and methodologies as a conundrum (or puzzle), though I should state from the outset that I think it is much more of a conundrum for others than for me. I have not felt the need to pose the question of whether or not area studies generates a distinctive method or set of methods and research practices, because I operate from a disciplinary perspective; though that it is not to say that the question should not be posed. Indeed, as I have earned a reputation for "revisionism" and championing disciplinary approaches rather than regional ones, it might be anticipated already the position that I take in an examination of the relationships between methodologies and the practice of "area studies" (and in this case Southeast Asian [or Asian] Studies). Nevertheless, given the recent resurgence of interest in the possibilities provided by the adoption of regional perspectives and the grounding of data gathering and analysis within specified locations in the context of globalization, the issues raised for researchers working in Southeast Asia and within the field of Southeast Asian Studies require revisiting.
This paper presents an in-depth analysis of the nonlinear vibration of microbeams, with a particular emphasis on their application in sports monitoring systems. The research utilizes classical beam theory, modified couple stress theory, and von-Kármán nonlinear parameters to explore the behavior of microbeams. These microbeams are characterized by a non-uniform geometry, with materials that continuously change along the beam radius and a thickness that varies along the beam length. The main contribution lies in its exploration of the stability of smart sensors in sports structures, particularly those with non-uniform geometries. The research findings indicate that these non-uniform microbeams, when used in smart systems made of functionally graded temperature-dependent materials, can operate effectively in thermal environments. The smart system developed in this study demonstrates significant potential for use in sports applications, particularly in monitoring and gathering information. The insights gained from this research contribute to the understanding of the performance and optimization of microbeams in sports applications, particularly in the context of non-uniform geometries. This research, therefore, provides a foundation for the development of advanced, reliable, and efficient monitoring systems in sports applications.
