Interface for in-situ Authoring of Augmented Reality Contents on a Mobile Device Environment (모바일 환경 증강현실 콘텐츠 현장 저작 인터페이스)

  • This paper introduces a difference between mobile Augmented Reality (AR) authoring and desktop AR authoring, and suggests an interface system that can be applied to in-situ authoring of AR contents on a mobile device. The mobile devices have enabled users to use the AR system anytime and anywhere. It is now necessary to create user's individualized context information using mobile devices on the spot. To author AR contents easily with mobile devices, we need to maximize the convenience of mobile systems, which have yet limitation. To do so, this paper suggests new interaction approaches that manage augmented contents using visual cues and other simple attribute settings. In addition, to solve the problem that users have to hold their mobile devices to track markers while authoring contents, this system enables users to author contents in environment based on captured images. This interface system also can make cooperation environment for more than one users to author contents. This paper verifies the usefulness of the proposed interface by user tests. The results of an analyzing users' comments show that the proposed interface is suitable for in-situ mobile authoring system.

  • With the development of information communication and network technologies, ubiquitous era that supports various services regardless of places and time has been advancing. The development of such technologies has a great influence on educational environments. As a result, e-learning concepts that learners use learning contents in anywhere and anytime have been proposed. The various learning contents authoring systems that consider the e-learning environments have also been developed. However, since most of the existing authoring systems support only PC environments, they are not suitable for various ubiquitous mobile devices. In this paper, we design and implement a contents authoring system based on learning activities for u-learning environments. Our authoring system significantly improves the efficiency for authoring contents and supports various ubiquitous devices as well as PCs.

  • The MPEG-4 standard is aimed to define an object based audiovisual coding standard to address the emerging needs from interactive broadcasting. Since a broadcasting program is created on the basis of its objects, it is considered that MPEG-4 is most suitable for interactive broadcasting contents production and it can be retrieved in terms of its properties. But, there is no system that protects the copyright of digital contents and manages copyright and possibility that contents producer and author's copyright receives infringement at process that exchange contents mutually rose very. Therefore, we need to control and distribute contents according to user's permission rights. In this paper, we present the authoring system based on MPEG-4 IPMP for copyright and protection of MPEG-4 contents. The main features of the proposed approach is to provide an MPEG-4 compliant IPMP authoring system in a plug-in type along with standardized interfaces, which is to be able to incorporated into an existing MPEG-4 content authoring system. In this way, it is capable of authoring content to the MP4 file format while accommodating protection and management of content in a unified way. Furthermore, it also allows a user to edit and/or author IPMP information in a more efficient way by offering form based user interfaces.

  • We introduce a media art contents authoring tool called ECAS(Exhibition Contents Authoring System), and methodology employed in its development. ECAS was developed using the graphical user interface to overcome difficulties with existing authoring tools that are text-based. For efficient implementation of graphical user interface, GMF(Graphical Modeling Framework) technique by Eclipse was used. SWT(Standard Widget Toolkit) and JIT(Just-In-Time) were used to improve speed and performance of ECAS. We show convenience and efficiency of ECAS by comparing with existing media art contents authoring tools.

  • Various contents are needed by many users as more developing the internet technologies. However, the conventional contents service structure can't support these requirements sufficiently. Therefor, the UCC that novel contents type is made based on the Web 2.0 concepts. It is needed the contents authoring tools that can use easily for creating multimedia UCC. In this paper, we analyze problems of exist ActiveX based contents authoring tool and local application based contents editor. we design and propose new authoring system that solve problems of exist system.

  • Recently there are so many media contents created and used by variety routes. Therefore, it is essential to make a new platform which is used for distributing media contents include IPTV. With open IPTV service, developing the new platform became even more important. Because open IPTV makes it possible for consumers to choose contents regardless of contents of the providers. The new platform has to accept current variety service structure. MPEG-21 multimedia framework was developed to satisfy these needs. It presented the distribution framework of the contents but didn't restrict the particular solutions for protecting the rights.   • In the distance education system existing, change of content by the content provider has not been performed in real time. But current car model is changed quickly. So it must modifying by contents provider in real-time. In this paper, we implement contents authoring system for modifying E-training contents easily. Especially, it use HTML5 technology. Through it, contents providers can modifying contents in various platforms easily.

  • Recently, research started to focus on Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(DMB), while the DMB service is already being launched to provide high quality audio, video and data broadcasting in Korea. Therefore, the demand for multimedia contents is also rose very sharply. In this paper, we introduced an MPEG-4 contents authoring system with mobile device for Digital Multimedia Broadcasting. Our system allows both single-handed and collaborative authoring modo. Further more, to overcome the delaytime for decoding the BIFS information, we also introduced an efficient algorithm to generate dynamic and light BIFS information.

  • we can define the procedure of Authoring that it makes area cord and the reproduction prevent menu programmed into MPEG II video stream , Audio which is AC-3 audio stream and subtitle under its own category. And it makes process an attribute, an order and an operation, gives the last disk image (DVD). There are various types of Authoring tools in the market so that authoring tools can enable, encourage, and assist users ('authors') in the selection of tools that produce simple title and video production and editing suites. In this paper, we will compare and analyze authoring process in which image and sound are captured into DVD creation with IEEE 1394port with regard to Window system using generally with Desktop PC and the Macintosh of the PC on the system of Windows and OSX.
